Restaurant Hellas - seit 1985 in Wesel

The restaurant is getting old. The food is of the standard frittenbude. Salad first - bag salad with sauce from the bottle. Gyros in a soup cup - plus a scoop of rice from the ice cream scoop, fries counted out. You definitely have to have something else afterwards eat .Never again.

Very warm welcome. Friendly and not at all intrusive. We felt very comfortable. We won't be there for the last time. We recommend.

Was very disappointed today. The food was very tasteless, barely seasoned and bland. The gyro meat was shredded so small that you would have needed a spoon rather than a fork to eat it. The rice was not dressed but plain with a drizzle of ketchup. The best was the tzatziki. Too bad!

Das Hellas in Wesel ist wirklich ein Geheimtipp! Das Essen ist absolut authentisch und super lecker. Jedes Gericht, das wir probiert haben, war frisch, mit Liebe zubereitet und geschmacklich hervorragend. Die Portionen sind großzügig, sodass man auf jeden Fall satt und zufrieden nach Hause geht. Die Lage direkt am Weseler Dom und Marktplatz ist ideal – mitten im Zentrum, aber dennoch ruhig und gemütlich. Das Ambiente ist einladend und bietet die perfekte Atmosphäre für einen entspannten Abend. Der Service war ebenfalls großartig. Das Team war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Wer auf der Suche nach leckerem griechischen Essen in toller Lage ist, sollte unbedingt das Hellas besuchen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

With very attentive service, very good food, large selection of delicious wines at absolutely good prices. I've been eating at this family business for a long time and haven't been there for a while! Cuisine and gastronomy with passion, clean, romantic flair, view of the beautiful cathedral! Little tip; The exact same meals are also available for lunch until 3 p.m. at cheaper prices and even the many delicious wines! I even got a salad, a dessert with Greek yogurt and honey and a schnapps at no extra charge. Hats off, that's rare! The boss himself asks the guests how it tasted... so YAMAZ...HA HA... WE WILL BE AGAIN OFTEN..

A really very good restaurant, with very tasty food. Portions were more than sufficient. Taste was great. Friendly service and the price was also very good. We once had the village plate with bifteki and gyros. The second dish was a gyro plate with souvlaki. Both dishes with fries, Rice and very tasty tzatziki. Salad plate beforehand and as dessert, there was Greek yoghurt on the house. We found it very attentive, before the meal there was an ouzo and after the meal another ouzo. What more could you want. Please keep it up, because good restaurants are in short supply.

Very good Greek restaurant where you not only get delicious Greek food, but also other dishes such as pizza and pasta. We only go to Wesel three to four times a year for a few days, but we still enjoy coming back here almost every time.

Today we were in Hellas for the first and last time. On the recommendation of the waiter I decided on the pizza. It was actually okay, except for the canned mushrooms... My friend ate the ouzo platter. Unfortunately all the meat was fried to death. Okay... we probably should have said that straight away, but we told the waitress everything after the meal. But there was no further reaction. When my friend posted his opinion "Photos speak louder than words" on Google Reviews, the son immediately came? of the house and complained about the review...

Thanks to a recommendation and a corresponding hunger, we ended up at Hellas. Not nicely decorated inside, preferred to sit outside. For food, the portion is really not big for a Greek. Metaxa Gyros = Grade Unsatisfactory. Industrial gyros, no taste of Metaxa sauce like water. Few fries, salad beforehand is a joke. For 20 euros I just expect more in a restaurant. Otherwise we ordered a grilled plate, also a small portion, carelessly distributed, but the price is not justified. The service is nice and our opinion is expressed when asked. Whatever, it was a failure.

Stopped in for a beer and lunch, luckily thought to ask about paying by card. It was explained to me that payment is possible, but only with a card issued by a German bank. My VISA was not accepted here, and I really don't carry cash with me for security reasons (I'm a truck driver). I tried to withdraw cash at a nearby Volks bank but was unsuccessful there as well. The service was so amazing that I became their guest, because I really only had about 10€ in cash with me in small coins. May all the gods bless the waiter and give him an abundance of goodness and love. He didn't even want me to send him money to his private account or the restaurant's account. Feel free to contact me under my review, I will be happy to repay this honest debt of mine.

The food was extremely tasty, really a pleasure, what ends up on the plate is fresh and extremely well balanced, the flavors are really fabulous. Service was satisfactory, if you needed something you didn't have to wait that long. You can also feel really comfortable in the restaurant, beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is very sociable, nice, helpful staff.

Food has always been great! Service is always friendly and accommodating. But why do you have to let dogs into the restaurant? The room is “small” and noisy, so the barking is just annoying. In addition, it is unreasonable for someone who is allergic.

We came across the restaurant completely by chance via Google because our hotel only served a buffet that evening and we preferred to eat a la carte. We received a very friendly welcome :) There is really something for everyone on the menu. We had gyros, bifteki, suflaki with fries and tzatziki as a starter. The tzatziki was super tasty, seasoned just right and left me wanting more. The meat was very tender, well seasoned and nice and juicy. And it wasn't dripping with fat, as is often the case. We were absolutely impressed by the food. The portions were reasonably large. The service was always attentive and friendly. At the end there was a small greeting from the kitchen (free of charge) and an ouzo on the house as dessert. This is a service that is unfortunately only very rarely experienced today. If we are in Wesel again, we will definitely come back. Thank you for the great evening 🙂

Traurig ! ! ! Wenn der eigene Besitzer des Restaurants in die Toilette bei offener Tür im stehen pinkelt, obwohl ein Pissoir frei war bin ich einfach nur enttäuscht. An 2 Tischen waren Kinder die sich AUF die Toilette setzten müssen ! Sorry, aber sodass ist ein No-Go besonders wenn es der Chef ist Wir kommen NICHT wieder !

Zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter, große Menueauswahl, schmackhaft. Leider ist die Geräuschkulisse im Lokal nicht vorteilhaft.

Leckeres Essen und super freundlicher Service direkt im Stadtzentrum von Wesel. Die Qualität der Zutaten war wirklich top, insbesondere der Zaziki. Vorspeisensalat - Einsbergsalat mit Cocktail Dressing - war ok brauche ich persönlich nicht unbedingt. Es gab sogar einen griechischen Joghurt gratis als Dessert. War sehr lecker. Damit insgesamt ein richtig gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. 1 Stern Abzug, weil keine andere Beilagen als Reis o. Pommes auf der Karte. Neben dem tollen griechischen finde ich die Pizza auf der Karte fehl am Platz.

Das Essen war top und wir würden sehr freundlich bedient.

Alle super freundlich und toll bedient. Das Essen, speziell meine vegetarische Platte, war klasse. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt. Kurz vorweg, die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jetzt komme ich zum Essen, ich hatte eine warme Zwiebelsuppe als Vorspeise, ich habe mich echt gefragt ob die alten Griechen sowas auf verspeist hätten und das ganze für 6 Euro. Dann zur Hauptspeise eine gefüllte Putenbrust die auch nur lau warm war. Und zwei Eiskugelrunder weißer Reis. Ich dachte ich bin im Chinesische Restaurant. Vorher gab es Salat mit Dressing, wie zuhause halt. Das Ambiente hat mir persönlich nicht gefallen. Die Tischsets waren wie Butterbrotpapier habe gedacht, wenn was übrig bleibt kann ich es darin einpacken. Wenn es das Restaurant seid 1985 gib, hat es sich leider nicht viel weiter entwickelt. Schade leider, wenigstens waren die Mitarbeiter nett und freundlich. Mit einigen Weizen bin ich so um die 45 € hin gekommen.

Seit 1985 begeistert das ‘Restaurant Hellas’ auf der Hohe Straße in Wesel mit griechischer Gastfreundschaft und köstlichen Speisen. Die traditionellen Gerichte sind authentisch zubereitet, die Atmosphäre ist einladend, und der langjährige Bestand dieses Restaurants spricht für sich. Ein Ort, der die Freuden der griechischen Küche in jeder Hinsicht zelebriert.

Ich sag ja immer Hellas vor Mortadellas. Der unglaubliche Umami-Geschmack des Gyros hat mich quasi aus den Galoschen gehauen. Dazu knusprige Pommfritts und eine Tzazechtum, die meinen Fallus förmlich liebkoste. Köpi vom Fass und Ouzo aus der Flasch, so macht das Saufen auch noch Spaß. Am Ende war die Pocke prall und Augen am schielen. Ich empfehle. Danke dafür, eure Stammkunden

Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Der Willkommens Ouzo hat uns überrascht, da es ihn nur noch selten gibt. Trotz des heutigen Feiertags und des durchwachsenen Wetters, war das Essen, bei vollem Lokal, sehr zügig am Tisch. Wir würden jederzeit wieder zum Essen an den schönen Domplatz kommen !!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Pommes waren noch super knackig als ich zu Hause ankam. Wir hatten Gyros in Metaxasoße überbacken mit Pommes, Reis und Salat und dazu Saganaki.

Waren zu Mittag hier mit der Familie essen. Vom knackigen Beilagensalat bis hin zur Leber mit Röstzwiebeln war alles perfekt. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kehren sehr gerne wieder ein. Lob an das sehr freundliche Personal.

Wir hatten uns für eine gemischte Vorspeise entschieden und danach für den Gyrosteller und das Filet Hellas. Die Gerichte waren prima angerichtet und sehr, sehr lecker. Der Service war zuvorkommend und stets bemüht. Alles in allem ein wirklich gelungener Abend mit einer tollen Atmosphäre.

Der grosse Salatteller war enttäuschend - für 16 Euro fast nur Blattsalat, ein Hauch Thunfisch usw. Der Dorfteller war sehr "übersichtlich". Die 3 Soßen aus der Beschreibung fehlten komplett.

Soweit o.k., dem Restaurant fehlt wohl die Konkurrenz. Ein mega-Grieche ist es unserer Meinung nach nicht, weder von der Leistung noch vom Preis. Für uns jedenfalls keine wiederholungsgefahr.
