Saturday lunch! Just like 40 years ago...

The front area was quite loud, uncomfortable, and too loud. The food was okay, but the service was a bit rude at first, but it became friendlier later.

I ordered a grilled platter, and the food was superb (I'm Austrian, so I wouldn't call it "tasty"), as was the beer. And the service was also very good. All in all, I highly recommend it.

There were problems with our takeaway order (4 dishes) today; we had to wait 20 minutes. The food was almost cold, and the fries were completely soggy and far too light. Very disappointing. We noticed that after a 15-minute wait, another customer returned to the restaurant with a bag of ordered food and was told our food would be ready soon. After inquiring, we were confirmed that the returned food had nothing to do with our order. Shortly afterward, our food was given to us, with the above-mentioned result.

We've been eating at this restaurant for years! If you want delicious gyros with fries and homemade tzatziki, this is the place to go. Of course, they also serve other delicious dishes and desserts. The prices are absolutely reasonable and just as reasonable as the portions. The staff is very friendly. Whether for lunch or dinner, this restaurant is highly recommended.

The food and drinks are decent value for money. What I don't like is that when you order a takeaway, gyro with rice, you get home and find fries instead of rice. Or you order shrimp with rice and only get shrimp. Well, that's something they need to work on. Kitchen: distracted work.

Disappointing Visit – Neither Service nor Quality Convincing Our visit to Restaurant Helena in Reinbek was unfortunately a bitter disappointment – ​​both in terms of the service and the quality of the food. Right from the start, we waited over 10 minutes to even place our drink order – despite the restaurant being almost empty. Not a good first impression. The gyros was a bitter disappointment: greasy, greasy, and poor quality – far from what you'd expect in a Greek restaurant. There was just a tiny dollop of tzatziki on the plate, which is obviously calculated to entice guests to order more. When we actually ordered a second serving, we were clearly told three times that "it will cost extra" – with an undertone that was more discouraging than customer-oriented. The service was overall disrespectful and unprofessional. When clearing the plates, the waiter actually asked us to "give him all the plates" instead of clearing them ourselves. This is not acceptable behavior in the restaurant industry. When we paid for the poor overall experience, we only tipped 80 cents, and the waiter laughed at us and said we could have it back. A completely inappropriate and condescending reaction, which unfortunately made it clear that there is no self-reflection or interest in the opinions of the guests. Conclusion: We felt neither welcome nor treated with respect. The food was poor, the service rude, and the overall impression disappointing. It was definitely our last visit to this restaurant.

THE Greek restaurant in our area. The food and service are top-notch, and the price-performance ratio is fair. The interior could use a bit of a refresh.

We always enjoy coming here from Hamburg. Also suitable for family dinners/family celebrations. The quality of this restaurant has always been impressive throughout its decades of existence. + Best price/performance in Reinbek and the surrounding area + Best homemade tzatziki + Always attentive & friendly service + nice atmosphere, especially in the winter garden + Clean and well-maintained toilets + Own parking spaces and generally good parking situation -/+ the rustic, Greek atmosphere inside is a matter of taste - we like it - Ouzo (there is better 😅)

Simply delicious and a very hospitable atmosphere in the restaurant. Wishes are fulfilled easily. I've been going there for decades and like to invite people there. The guests are always enthusiastic too.

Ordered there by phone today and picked up the food. My husband had gyros with Metaxas cream sauce and I had pork fillet with Metaxas cream sauce and gratinated with cheese. So far so good, but first the small containers were in the bottom of the bag and the large containers were placed on top. But it couldn't work out that way because the large containers slipped down and leaked a little. There was an endless amount of liquid fat in the bag. You couldn't touch anything without having greasy and slippery fingers. My pork fillet tasted strange and the metaxa cream sauce tasted strangely just like fat. My husband's Metaxas cream sauce tasted completely different, just as you would imagine a Metaxas cream sauce to be. My conclusion: I will no longer order food here, neither on site nor for home! I haven't eaten so badly in a long time.

Very nice, thoughtful waiter. He specifically asked us whether our son would eat coleslaw or would rather have cucumber slices. The food was delicious and there was even an ouzo on the house.

As always when we are here, well attended. Sometimes you have to wait because all the tables are occupied. Food is always delicious and plentiful. Recommended.

What would Reinbek be without this restaurant? After all these years, still: top price-performance ratio (lunch!), consistently high quality, incredibly friendly atmosphere (since almost all of the guests are regulars) and a very good location. It's nice that some things stay the way they are 😇

Welcome friendly, unfortunately only 1 waiter, so it took a lot of time. The lunch menu was ok, unfortunately the salad had no dressing and was therefore a bit bland in taste. But the food itself was very tasty.

Guest there for about 25 years. Always good food, good portions, nice atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays you should reserve a table. Could be full. The restaurant is almost an institution in Reinbek. When you say you go for Greek food, you actually mean this restaurant. The best Greek in the area. We always enjoy eating there, even in larger groups.

As a Berliner, I have nothing to complain about. The restaurant is fairly centrally located in Reinbek, but is often overlooked on Rosenberg. We were very happy with the service, food and drinks. Our recommendation would be that the ouzo “from the house” is served as an aperitif. We'd love to come back.

I often came here with my parents as a child - and have been here again for a few years now. Still the same owner - the food is still the same as it used to be - solid Greek food as we know it here.

I was in Hamburg for a two-day seminar and had lunch at "Helena" on both days. The food was super tasty and the value for money is unbeatable. I was particularly impressed by the lamb fillet – very tender and well seasoned, absolutely recommended! The service was always friendly and attentive. The ability to sit outside also made dining even more enjoyable when the weather was nice. I would love to come back to try more dishes. 5 out of 5 stars!

Relativ lange Wartezeit bei Bestellung und anbieten neuer Getränke. Mein Gyros vom Hellas-Teller hatte nur Zimmertemperatur. Raumlicht war auch etwas dunkel/schumrig. Muss dort nicht nochmal hin.

Ich kenne Helena schon sehr viele Jahre.war nach langer Zeit mal wieder da. Zum Mittagstisch Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren genau richtig. Der Reis ist sehr lecker.

Sind ohne Reservierung hin und bekamen prombt einen Platz. Schneller, zuvorkommender Service. Essen sehr, sehr lecker und grosse Portionen. Wir können es nicht bestätigen, dass neue Gäste keinen Uszo bekommen.... Wir waren auch das erste Mal dort und haben zum Salat einen erhalten.. Preis /Leistung stimmen hier total überein. Wir waren rundherum voll zufrieden. Können wir nur empfehlen 👍👍👍

Waren nach ca 5 Jahren wieder bei Helena ! Da wir jetzt in einem anderen Bundesland wohnen 👍👍👍👍 wie immer sehr guter Service , leckeres Essen. Man hat uns sogar nach dieser doch langen Zeit mit Namen angesprochen 👍👍👍und wieder erkannt.

Nettes Lokal direkt oben an der Bergstraße in Reinbek (Rosenplatz). Nettes Personal und rascher Service. Große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Es gibt sowohl die normale Karte, als auch eine Mittagskarte (12:00-15:00 Uhr). Die Mittagskarte unterscheidet sich etwas in der grundsätzlichen Menge der Speisen und dem Preisunterschied zur normalen Karte von etwa 1-3€. Ambiente: Sowohl Plätze im inneren als auch in einer Art Wintergarten, indem es eine angenehme Temperatur hat. Die Scheiben und die Decke der Glasüberdachung sind allerdings nicht vollständig sauber (Stand September 2023). Service: Schneller und zuverlässiger Service. Es wird des Öfteren ein Ouzo angeboten. Auf Nachfrage auch Extra Soßen zu den Gerichten erhältlich (Mayonnaise / Ketchup). Essen: Das Bifteki schmeckte etwas Pfad und nicht besonders außergewöhnlich. Auch die Anrichtung des Essens war eher unspektakulär. Die halbe rohe Zwiebel hätte man sich sparen können. Alles in allem war das Essen okay, aber in der Intensität, anrichte und Geschmack ausbaufähig.

Getränke mit knapp 5 Euro (egal ob kleines Wasser oder kleines Bier) sehr teuer. Gyros dagegen sehr gut. Keine Sehnen, kaum Fett. Das Zaziki ist so stark mit Knoblauch und Zwiebel versetzt, wenn man noch am nächsten Tag plant unter Menschen zu gehen sollte man seeehr vorsichtig sein. Tipp: die Gerichte "für den kleinen Hunger" sind vollkommen ausreichend von der Portionsgröße. Insgesamt werden wir wieder kommen!

Hatten einen schönen Abend im Helena. Das Essen war gut und die Portionen waren sehr ausreichend. Jedoch habe ich das erste Mal erlebt, dass man als neuer Gast keinen Ouzo bekommen hat, aber Stammkunden in der gleichen Zeit 3x mit einem Schnäpschen bedient worden sind. Wenn man noch etwas bemängeln könnte, war es eine Bestellung die nicht korrekt war, aber der Service war ansonsten okay. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass man neue Gäste genauso engagiert behandelt, wie Stammgäste.

Sehr nettes Personal was schnell und zuvorkommend war. Im Restaurant war sehr gemütlich und man hat die wahl zwischen Restaurant oder Wintergarten. Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Die Portion war großzügig Preisleistung wirklich TOP

Das Essen war sehr lecker aber wir hatten recht wenig auf dem Teller. Auf die Frage des Kellners ob alles ok war antwortete mein Mann, dass es lecker war aber es war ziemlich wenig und er wäre nicht satt geworden - darauf kam vo. Kellner die Antwort...." dann hätten Sie eben ne Vorspeise vorweg bestellen müssen " . Wow -echt jetzt ??

Wir kommen hier sehr gerne, leider nur selten ins Restaurant aber nutzen oft den Abhol-Service. Das Essen ist super, Preis-Leistung stimmt... Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder und können unseren "Stammgriechen" uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Sehr schnelle und Höfliche Bedienung sind um 20 Uhr gekommen im 20:10 kahm der Salat und kurz Später auch die Hauptspeise. Zwischendurch kahm der Besitzer auch mit Ouzo „Vitaminen“ zu uns an den Tisch. Tolles Ambiente. Toller Abend. Das essen war sehr Lecker

Il s’agit d’un très bon restaurant grec classique. Accueil pro et sympa. Véranda agréable, bien placé en centre ville.

Wir suchten Abends in Reinbek ein Restaurant und wurden auf Anfrage von einem Passanten auf das Helena aufmerksam gemacht. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, das Essen war gut, die Preise angemessen. Die Bestellung hätte ich gerne ein bißchen flexibler gehabt, das Ergebnis auf dem Teller war gut, die Tintenfischringe hervorragend und frisch! Also Schulnote 2.

Das Gyros war recht fettig, dafür der Spieß trocken und hart, Zwiebeln vergessen. Einfach nicht lecker. Freundlichkeit mäßig.

Abholung wegen Pandemie. Sehr leckeres Essen ( Gyros überbacken, Schweinefilet überbacken mit Metaxa, Leber, Kartoffeln). Große Portionen, zusätzlich Krautsalat, Brot, Zaiziki und ein Flaschenbier für den Abholer. Alles war sehr gut verpackt und kam heiß bei uns an. Wir freuen uns schon auf die Zeit in der wir wieder gemütlich dort zusammensitzen können. Der Preis war übrigens völlig angemessen.

Meine Familie ist seit 20 Jahren Kunde beim Reinbeker Traditionsgriechen „Helena“. Herr und Frau Tsakiris und ihre Angestellte sind herzlich und serviceorientiert, das Essen schmeckt immer wunderbar und die Wartezeiten sind kurz. Für Vegetarier ist etwas weniger auf der Karte, aber dafür überzeugen Fisch und Fleisch umso mehr. Die Pommes sind die Besten der Stadt, der obligatorische Vorspeisensalat ein Traum. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist top! Ein Besuch bei Helena ist bei jedem Familienbesuch ein Muss! Jamas!

Ein guter Grieche. Viele Speisen, nette Bedienung. Etwas Eng im innenraum aber trotzdem kann ich Helena empfehlen.

Dass man in diesem Restaurant keine sternefähigen, kulinarischen Höhenflüge würde erwarten können, war klar, aber solide griechische Küche, anständigen Service und Personal, dass die Grundregeln in der Gastronomie beherrscht, hätte man erwarten können. Nach 15 Minuten saßen wir im Wintergarten noch immer an unserem Tisch mit verschmutzter Tischdecke. Ohne Speisekarten oder sonstige Aufmerksamkeit. Es machte über den ganzen Abend den Eindruck, dass der Wintergarten, obgleich der schönere Teil des Restaurants, lästiges Appendix des Innenbereichs war. Nach knapp 20 Minuten und zwischenzeitlich selbst geholten Speisekarten, leerte sich der Wintergarten vorübergehend merklich. Was sich so lange nicht leerte, bis neue Gäste kamen, waren die abgegessenen Tische voller Gläser und Tellern mit Essensresten. Äußerst unappetitlich und unverständlich, warum der Kellner mehrfach leer an diesen Tischen vorbei ging und stattdessen Ouzo-trunkenen Gästen weiter nachschenkte. Zur Qualität des Essens reichen eigentlich die angefügten Bilder aus. Der überbackene Feta war paniert(!) und kam genau so lieb- und trostlos am Tisch an, wie auf dem Foto zu sehen. Indiskutabel. Preise sind für das das dargebotene Essen unterdurchschnittlicher Qualität völlig unangemessen. Uns ist nach dieser Erfahrung völlig schleierhaft, warum dieses Restaurant derart gut besucht ist, möglicherweise die Verzweiflung ob der wenigen Alternativen in der Gegend. Wir jedenfalls waren definitiv zum letzten Mal hier.

Hier kann man gut die griechische Küche genießen. Netter und freundlicher Service. Portionsgrösse ist ausreichend. Preise halten sich in Grenzen. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Im WIntergarten ist es schön hell und allen haben die Gerichte geschmeckt. Alle waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen.

Wir gehen öfter in dieses Lokal und sind dort immer sehr gut bedient worden.Es gibt auch sehr authentisches griechisches Essen.Zu Beispiel die Vorsspeisen,Taramas etc. sind sehr gut.Das durchschnittliche Bewertungen,teilweise doppelt von einem Besucher gegeben werden kann ich nicht verstehen.Aber das ist der Nachteil einer App in der anonym einseitig nur von Kunden gewertet wird und ein gewerteter das so über sich ergehen lassen mus.

Typische Ausstattung, typische Karte, Preise eher überdurchschnittlich. Warum der Laden immer proppevoll ist bleibt bei durch und durch durchschnittlichem Angebot ein Rätsel.
