It's ALWAYS full here. It speaks for itself... Grilled food, vegetarian food, fresh produce. You'll get your fill here for a reasonable price.

There were four of us, each having a different dish. All were delicious and plentiful. Including drinks, the meal came to €66. That's reasonable.

Hmm... so-so. This restaurant has the potential to be one of the best in Paderborn in this industry. Its location is top-notch, with plenty of comfortable tables and a wide selection of grilled dishes. But they're skimping on their basic philosophy. For example, while you do get something to eat here, it's not exactly amazing. The food often doesn't taste good. The meat is burnt and dry, the salads are always the same... We recently had something au gratin (four of us), and we were all served burnt meat in the sauce. It was really black, dry, and charred. When we complained, the waitress showed no linguistic incomprehension and called the manager for us. The manager, however, only wanted us to order new food, which we would have to pay for in addition to the burnt food. Communication is such that both the manager and the employees have difficulty understanding German, so at some point you have no choice but to accept it as the manager requests. Tiring and not customer-friendly... Both the staff and the owner are very inflexible when it comes to extra orders. If you want something extra with your meal (e.g. just a tiny bit of a certain ingredient as an extra), you have to buy a whole dish from the menu. He can't bring himself to charge extra for a small bowl of doner kebab meat or a single small chicken skewer for a child. No, you have to order a whole dish from the menu. They can't even manage to serve tzatziki in an extra bowl, even though it was specially ordered. Extra requests, no matter how small, seem to pose a huge challenge for the staff. Furthermore, the owner seems to have very little trust in his employees. Payment is only taken at the front; the waiting staff are not allowed to accept money. There are restrooms - there's nothing more to say. All in all, everything here is very unloving. And as a guest, you don't really feel welcome. Quite the opposite. If you take a little longer to read through the extensive menu, the waiters get agitated, and when taking your order, they often forget something or don't serve it the way you'd like. You don't get the impression that this is a restaurant. Even the fast-food restaurant with the big yellow M is much more flexible and friendly. We don't like coming here. It's like playing the lottery. Sometimes the food is delicious – and sometimes it's a complete disaster. The restaurant owner probably enjoys a big bonus from the good location and the many walk-in customers who want to go downtown anyway. But unfortunately, there's no sign of customer loyalty. The boss doesn't seem to care at all whether a customer wants to come back or not. There are many other "colleagues" who, while they don't offer a similar ambiance, do a much better job with the service and food. What a shame.

We like the food and the prices here. The staff are friendly, and orders are prepared quickly. We'll be happy to come back.

I usually enjoy going here, and I always get a kebab plate. Only this time, the meat was already cold to begin with, and I've been sitting on the toilet for two hours with diarrhea, something I've never had before. Otherwise, it's always been good, and the value for money is excellent.

We're usually extremely satisfied with the food. Today, however, the waiter sent us home in a rather disrespectful tone, saying that other guests were apparently still waiting, even though we would have liked to order dessert, but we couldn't express our desire because the waiter left immediately. I thought that was a real shame, and it ruined my next visit a bit!

The food is so tasty and yummy and also the quantity is great! Took me straight to Turkey!!! Everything is super fresh, including the bread and salad and appetizing. Must visit!

Absolutely fantastic! The food at Haji Baba in Paderborn was outstanding – fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. The charcoal-grilled meat was a particular highlight – you could even watch it being freshly grilled. The service was super friendly and attentive. Dersim had the place under perfect control and created a great atmosphere. An all-around fantastic experience – we'll definitely be back!

The food is of good quality, the team works very well together, and even when it's very busy, you're served quickly.

We had a reservation for 8 people and were initially "parked" outside (in 8 degrees Celsius) in an unfriendly manner. When we asked again about our table, the only flippant response was that it might take a while with 8 people, and that we could eat outside (in 8 degrees Celsius!!). Not a word of apology for not honoring/forgetting our reservation. After waiting 25 minutes in the cold, with still no word of apology, and even being practically ignored, we left. The food was usually excellent. However, the restaurant doesn't seem to care about its guests; perhaps they don't even need to be friendly, since it's still busy. I've rarely felt so unwelcome.

Poor service in the restaurant. Long wait times. Unfriendly staff who speak rudely. You wait and have to serve yourself. The food: zero out of ten. The service is subpar. The wait time is subpar. A restaurant not worth experiencing, and I don't recommend anyone go there. The worst restaurant in Paderborn.

⭐️ Top service, top food – 5 stars! We're from the Düsseldorf area and were visiting friends nearby. I've rarely eaten such good and affordable Turkish food! In Düsseldorf, everything seems to taste the same – but here it was a completely new experience. Fresh, intensely seasoned, simply delicious. My highlights: the ezme and the baked lahmacun – highly recommended! The service was also super friendly and attentive. You immediately feel at home. A definite 5 out of 5 stars – anything less wouldn't be fair!

Unfortunately, I received burnt bread with my kebab. What's strange is that the employee probably noticed the burnt bread but completely ignored it. Since it was a takeaway, they only noticed it when they got home and then threw it away.

I have to be honest... I come here twice a week and have never complained... but the way you treated me today, I won't be coming back. The service was terrible, and the kebab had 1 kg of mayo in it. I told you it didn't taste good, and the response was, 'You ordered it that way.' I sent it back, and nothing arrived, and you even made me pay for it... I'm sorry, but that's not how the restaurant industry works. You have to try to be a bit friendlier to people.

We sat on the outdoor terrace, and the canal in the street stank unbearably. Then we got our kebab plate, and the meat was undercooked and very fatty. We won't be visiting this place again. It used to be our favorite Turkish restaurant. What a shame ☹️

Haci Baba is by far the best kebab shop in town. I was even greeted with smiles several times and the service was always very friendly, 10/10. You can even get a good kebab to go at night.

I gave the restaurant another chance today. Unfortunately, we were disappointed again. Last time, the chicken was still raw. Today we tried a doner kebab, and what can I say... it was the worst doner kebab we've ever eaten. Unfortunately, the service was also extremely uncaring. Therefore, today was our last visit there!

Haci Baba is a restaurant with Turkish cuisine in Paderborn, Germany. The restaurant is suitable for families, friends and couples. The menu has many dishes, priced from 5€ - 12€. Beer from 3€- 5€ for a glass. The grilled meat at the Haci Baba is delicious and soft. Drinking yogurt is also quite good for our meals. After ordering, the food is available about 10-15 minutes. Our dinner for 5 people around 100€. That’s great. If the waiters were friendlier, it would add more points to the restaurant. Thank you so much!

I don't know if many people have a problem with it. But I have to say, I came from Stuttgart and ate there for the first time, and I have to say, if it were more than 10 stars, I would give it immediately. I was so happy with what I ordered, and that's exactly what I got. And the best part: I asked the waitress if she could only make hot water with lemon, and she made it for me. So all I can say is, keep it up, you're great.👍

We've been regulars at this restaurant for a long time, but unfortunately, this time we had a very disappointing experience. We ordered a grilled platter with other dishes, where we specifically requested that the meat be grilled pink and juicy rather than dry and charred. Despite this request, the meat was extremely dry and burnt. After my wife and I each took a sample, we immediately complained and hoped we'd be given a new, freshly prepared skewer. After about 10 minutes of nothing, we asked for more. The employee's reaction was very rude; he said we'd already eaten two pieces and therefore couldn't give us another one. When we explained that the meat was inedible because it was dry and burnt and inedible, the employee, after a brief argument and a very angry tone, placed only two small pieces of meat, which were 95% raw, on our table and walked away. I was very disappointed and also a little embarrassed by the way we were treated. It's a shame that loyal regulars are treated like this. Above all, we pay for the food. Just the burger plate costs around €20. A friendlier and more professional service would have been much appreciated in this situation.

When we complained, we were brought two small pieces that were about 95% raw. The service was unfriendly, which we find very unfortunate. Very disappointing - never again! There were five of us in the restaurant and unfortunately our visit was an absolute disaster. The food wasn't particularly tasty, it was far too greasy and carelessly prepared. The service was unfriendly - especially the waiter who took our order was inattentive and didn't write everything down correctly. Three people got their food, two had to wait again and order again because the waiter obviously wasn't listening properly, even though he was standing right next to us. After dinner I wanted to have the rest packed, but I was told: "You have to pack it yourself. We won't do that." I've never experienced anything like this! We waited a total of around 30 minutes until everything was finally there - completely uncoordinated and chaotic. The whole visit was a big disappointment. I really can't recommend the restaurant. Price-performance ratio is not right here at all

Unfortunately my order was not implemented as desired. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that I had been given chicken instead of veal. Basically, that wouldn't be a problem for me - if it had tasted good. Unfortunately, the taste of the dish was not convincing either. I didn't check whether I was charged the wrong amount because I didn't notice the error until later.

Very bad service, we called 3 times to reserve a place but when we went there they had no place and they said we had to wait 30 minutes even tho we called in the morning and we went around 8 in the night and they were so rude to us saying that we reserved in a bad time. And the waitress/waitresses were judging us alot and we were just standing and they said us to move even tho there was so much space to cross and they were shouting at us like we were there enemies or something. I don't recommend anyone to go there, you will get really mistreated and they bring the food really late or they will get your order wrong or most of the times they bring the food cold as if they toke it out of the fridge and served it to you. And when we called they didn't even take reservation name and they said we will know but when we went they didn't believe that we reserved and they kept on asking and asking even tho we said that we called in the morning and want our seat bur they still suspected. Never going there again.

Very bad place to be!!! The service is even below 1 star. This is the only restaurant i think with this much customers that doesn’t understand reservation. It is maybe the culture of where they came from but then you have to tell the customers that you don’t take reservations. But when we call you 3 x times and you confirm our reservations and we come on time to the restaurant and you tell me you dont have place then this is not normal and it says how NOT professional you guys are. I hope the customers will understand this and stop coming to this bad place!!

A terrifically delicious meal. You have to be lucky if you want to get a seat straight away. Therefore, one point deducted for ambience (rooms). Highly recommended in terms of taste.

My wife and I ordered two Iskender and one potato. It wasn't clear that it was meat. It looked like anything other than Iskender. It was terrible. I don't recommend it. It had no taste. I won't go there again.

We were here for a dinner. At first glance, haci baba looks like a snack bar, but the shop has the character of a restaurant. There is table service and the dishes are very well prepared. We ate Iskender Kebap with original doner kebab. The food was very tasty and enough to fill you up. I can only recommend the restaurant. It's more than worth a visit!!

Terrible experience - never again! If I could, I would give zero stars! There were six of us in the restaurant, eating and chatting normally. Suddenly the waiter came and cheekily told us in our faces that we weren't allowed to sit for that long?! An absolute disgrace - rude, unprofessional and disrespectful! It felt like we were unwanted guests, even though we paid properly. If you feel like a dish where half a tomato serves as a decoration and want to be thrown out after an hour - then you are exactly right here! Pooh

Unfortunately it's not as good as it used to be during my studies! We ate there again yesterday and had a kebab, unfortunately intestinal problems became noticeable in the evening and all day today... unfortunately the quality has decreased significantly, what a shame!

I don't understand some of the reviews here. HB is not a star restaurant, that's for sure. All hell often breaks loose and mistakes sometimes happen. But where the hell can you get a better kebab in Paderborn? Huh? It's going to be tight ;)! So full board from me! It doesn't get any better for the money.

Whether you order inside or for delivery, something is always missing and or is done incorrectly, every time without exception!! even though they write down the order. In such cases the waiters behave completely inappropriately as if they had not made a mistake and try to get rid of it without any insight with absolutely inappropriate behavior and bad and equally inappropriate jokes as if I had made the mistake. So completely incompetent in every respect. I'm sure many who have already eaten or ordered here know what I'm talking about. I'm just avoiding this store! Thanks

The food is delicious, but it can do with a little more salt, but of course it's a matter of taste. The soup was a bit cold, but the food was very fresh and warm. We tried 5 different dishes and were all satisfied. Unfortunately I have to say that the variation in the grill plate was very poor. I'm used to at least 6 types of meat on the grill. Unfortunately there were only 4 varieties here. No Adana, no chicken. Just 1 lamb rib, 1 meatball and 1 beef skewer and some chicken. The taste wasn't all that great, but for the price it was great. Service was very top, very quick and friendly.

Lots of choice of food but sometimes very crowded. It's best to always make a reservation otherwise you won't get any more space. If there's too much going on, they can't keep up with the orders. Otherwise always happy.

By far, the best Kebab outside of the borders of Berlin. Really kind staff, tasty Çay, and delicious food, inviting ambience, fast service, fair prices. I really loved to visit Haci Baba!

Lentil soup was catastrophic, hardly any taste, way too few lentils or too much flour used. Very unfortunate. PİDE with Sucuk was fine. Unfortunately, the waitress (young, tall lady) wasn't attentive enough, even though she saw that the soup wasn't eaten, she didn't let the cashier know. First and last visit. Very poor parking options in the immediate vicinity.

Always very good service, good hospitality, quick and fresh preparation. The restaurant is very attractively designed. There are enough seating options. In summer you can also sit outside very nicely.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. There was no veal, even though it wasn't a Sunday or a holiday. The chicken had no taste at all and a strange texture. The tzatziki was delicious. Bread was burnt and the salad was also a bit poor. Too bad! 4 guests, 4x disappointed.

The food is almost always a hit, which is probably why it sometimes takes a while to receive the food. The atmosphere in the outside area is great, especially during the summers. The staff is also always ready to help. I definitely recommend all dishes except maybe the dessert kunafah, which didn’t taste quite right. Other than that, great place to eat at!
