Restaurant Haci Baba in Paderborn

Always a pleasure. The baked eggplant is my absolute favorite. The staff are always friendly and there is always a free table for us.

I was there on a Friday evening around 9:30 p.m. The store was moderately busy and there was plenty of staff behind the counter. It probably took 15 minutes until someone took pity and brought me a completely grease-smeared and tattered card. When the “waiter” came he grinned. I saved myself the experience of having to wait even longer for my food. They used to be better!

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Paderborn and I would bring every friend who would visit me here. But, the level of arrogance from old people working here is a notch higher than the level of food. Won't go here again.

Hello! The mixed grill for 4 people was very nice, I would not recommend katmerli as dessert, I would expect a complimentary tea from Turkish culture, the service was good.

Unfortunately, today was probably my last visit here. I - 9 months pregnant and having a hard time getting along due to the heat - was very rudely asked to vacate a table. As soon as we ordered or said that we wanted to eat on site, we were greeted with eye rolls and annoyed groans. The request to change seats: Yes, a larger group could fit at the table, but my group and I were also paying customers. The fact that we should change tables isn't a problem for me. However, the arrogance, unfriendliness and lack of empathy have no place in the catering industry for me. I have rarely felt more unwelcome than here.

We were absolutely thrilled. There are dishes prepared over the charcoal grill, freshly prepared pidetaschen, casseroles, doner kebab, adana kebap, pizza, fries etc. You can sit outside or inside. Very friendly service, child-friendly, a real recommendation!

Were there on August 19th with my sister...we sat down outside. Everyone who came after us (men) was served after 5 minutes...we were completely ignored...after half an hour we got up and left...that's possible not at all...

Even today it is still completely okay here. Haven't been here for a few years. It is still reasonable in terms of price and quantity. Unfortunately, some special dishes are no longer on the menu. But that's how it is today. 👍

Hähnchen Teller mit Pommes. Einfach nur widerlich das Fleisch . Es war gegarte Haut . Würde ich nicht mal einem Tier anbieten sowas. Überall draußen Brummer und Fliegen . Sehr extrem ,richtige Plage . Essen ungenügend.

Went to Haci Baba with friends and ordered kebab 3 times. The kebab was soggy, the bread was far apart, taste was zero, sorry never again kebab there, maybe the other dishes were delicious but after the giant mouse we saw outside on the terrace, which was running back and forth the whole time, we won't be eating Haci Babab anymore visit!!!!

Danger! Eat at your own risk! After a plate of kebab, my friends and I had the worst stomach pain!!! In addition, you don't feel particularly welcome here and you feel threatened. You leave over 50 euros lying around and then you can't even eat in peace... Never again! 0 stars.

We eat at Haci Baba regularly and the eggplant casserole is particularly delicious. The bread is also very good and fresh. What I would like is for the toilets to be renovated. It smells very unpleasant and sometimes there is no soap or facilities to dry your hands. I feel uncomfortable and wonder why the food tastes so great but then is ignored.

The food was lukewarm (Chicken Kebab & Chips). The side salad was actually quite nice. I found the staff unfriendly. Whilst waiting to pay at the till, I witnessed a staff member scraping mayonnaise off of the side of the mayonnaise dispenser with his bare hands, and then kinda throwing it back in. I left feeling disgusted and disappointed..

Wir haben eine Grillplatte für 4 Personen liefern lassen, da wir die als sehr gut aus einem früheren Besuch in Erinnerung hatten. Leider wurden wir auf' s heftigste enttäuscht 😞. Die Lammkotletts waren sehr durchwachsen und zäh. Das Hackfleisch trocken und fad. Der Geflügelwürfel war völlig geschmacklos und der Lammfleischwürfel war leider auch sehr zäh. Das Gyros schwamm unten drunter im Fett. Das ganze zu einem in unseren Augen ungerechtfertigte Preis. Eigentlich nur eine 1 Stern Empfehlung, aber da es dort früher auch mal sehr lecker zu angemessenem Preis war, 2 Sterne. Uns wird man dort so schnell nicht wieder begrüßen. Viel Glück und hoffentlich bald zurück zu alter Qualität.

I ordered a chicken skewer and a kebab gratinated with the chicken skewers and the tzatziki was forgotten. I asked politely about it and was told my colleague would be better next time. Unfortunately there won't be a next time

Chef Ahmed was very, very friendly, his food was delicious, the place had a wonderful family atmosphere, excellent orders, very fast orders, and the dishes were served professionally, like the best restaurants, and nice workers, despite the crowds, the service was more than wonderful. I hope to continue at this level and it is a restaurant worth traveling to from long distances. Try it and you will not regret it

We had dinner at Haci Baba on Friday evening with 6 people. It was relatively full but a table was set up for us within 5 minutes. The outdoor area was pleasantly quiet despite the large number of guests. The service staff were very attentive and the food came quickly. Everyone was consistently happy with their dishes. Value for money is unbeatable, we will definitely come back!

Their Chicken Donor was like we are eating some boiled chicken bread with no taste

The restaurant offers a delicious selection of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The lamb skewer and the kebab plate were particularly tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly. A place I can definitely recommend.

From employees to the boss, everyone has no decency or manners. The food didn't taste good at all, the juice shop was absolutely unhygienic and dirty.

Anyone who calls this food good in 2024 has never actually eaten sensibly. The language used to serve and plate is so outdated. Everything just slapped there. No attention to detail. The eye definitely doesn't eat here. The grilled chicken was totally unseasoned and tasted old. Just like the bread. The only good thing was the cola. And it was out of the can. Not worth a second visit.

The soup here is mixed with garlic water and chili, and the bread is provided, it is exactly like Chinese mutton steamed buns. It is so happy. Every time I go to eat with friends, I feel almost full after drinking the soup. Since we've been there so many times, we've eaten almost 80% of the dishes on the menu. The rest of the taste is just okay, either a little salty or a little too bland. . (They require cash payment. There are many people, so it is easy to wait for a seat if you arrive late)

Last Sunday, after a fun day at the “Maspernplatz” playground, we found ourselves growing hungry. Looking for a suitable place for our lunch, we decided on the Haci Baba restaurant. Here we were not only warmly welcomed, but also taken straight into the authentic world of Turkish cuisine. We were completely impressed by the food, an impressive mix of taste and quantity. What is particularly noteworthy is that the meat was prepared on a charcoal grill right in front of us - a real highlight for lovers of Turkish dishes. My wife and I chose the Haci Baba Platter for two – a rich selection of grilled meats including chicken, lamb and kebab, accompanied by crusty bread, fresh salad and rice. Our daughter chose a gyro pizza which she loved. We all enjoyed a traditional Turkish “Chai”. The wait for our food was surprisingly short, and the quality and quantity of the food exceeded our expectations. What was particularly impressive was that the meat was cooked on a charcoal grill right in front of us, an experience that not only whets the appetite but also shortens the wait. The ambience at Haci Baba is modern and inviting. In summer the restaurant offers the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy your meal in the sun. The only downside is the parking situation nearby - this can be challenging, especially on weekdays. However, on Sunday parking at Maspernplatz is free, which is a bit of a relief. In summary: Haci Baba impresses with excellent food, warm service and a great location. It's definitely worth a visit and we're looking forward to the next time.

Super delicious food, all freshly prepared. The meat is really deliciously seasoned. The service is very nice - even in stressful moments. Adana Dürüm, the tzatziki and the chicken pan are my absolute favorites! I wouldn't eat on site, but I would highly recommend it to go. Keep it up!

Really sad, we ordered for €50 and got a farmer's salad for €7 that came in these little bowls. No dressing. Really cheeky...

Always take cash with you. Card payment from €20. I called specifically to pick it up because I didn't know whether I could pay by card upon delivery. Even when picking up, only from €20 with a card. Since my wife and I only came to €16.50. I inevitably had to take one more kebab with me

The first thing that struck you was the number and friendliness of the staff. We were attentively escorted to a suitable table. Another big compliment goes to the plentiful and deliciously prepared food. Finally, all that remains is the price. Absolutely adequate, the food was rather too much. Overall, highly recommended.

Wir waren gestern Nachmittag hier essen, das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet, gab's wirklich gar nichts zu beanstanden, die Speisen sind frisch und das Dönerfleisch ist auch wirklich Fleisch und keine Hackfleischpampe. Der Service war Klasse, Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Einziges kleines Manko sind die Sanitären Einrichtungen, da gibt's Verbessrungsbedarf. Ich würde dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen

Top Qualität👍geschmacklich toller Kalb Döner. Die Lamm Pfanne ist sehr lecker. Das Brot selbst gebacken.

Ansicht nette Leute aber wenn man Reserviert wird nur Uhrzeit und Anzahl der Personen aufgeschrieben, dadurch das bei uns zwei Personen nicht da waren durften wir nicht essen. Ich bin enttäuscht.

2024er Update: Bin mittlerweile seit 6 Jahren Stammkunde - ich kann hier die türkischen Spezialitäten wie Adana Kebap oder Urfa Kebap nur empfehlen. Diese sind wirklich der Hammer! Der Caçik mit Brot ist eine hervorragende Vorspeise, die man zu zweit auch sehr sehr gut genießen kann :) Achtung: KEINE Kartenzahlung!

This Turkish restaurant makes great Falafel, Donner teller and Auberginen Auflauf. I have also tried their Margarita & vegetarisch Pizza and Pide spinat but didn’t like the taste of it but pizza was completely fine than Pide. This place is usually crowded but place is very much congested for the crowd they get and you might even be asked to wait outside sometime. The major drawback of this place is congested space and they accept only cash.

Aufgrund der positive Bewertungen sind wir hierhin gekommen. Haben es jedoch sehr bereut. Schon beim reinkommen war der Personal unfreundlich. Haben für kinder Suppen bestellt, obwohl es dazu automatisch Brot geben muss, kam Brot auf Anfrage, und dass sehr begrenzt. Meine Tochter hat sich Brokkoliauflauf bestellt, war jedoch mehr Tomatenauflauf und das roh !!! Mein Sohn hat lahmacun bestellt, was definitiv kein lahmacun war. Der Hackfleisch fehlte !!! Wir wurden mit blicken gedrängt schnell zur essen und den Platz leer zur räumen!!! Mega enttäuscht und nie wieder !!!!

Ich kann das Restaurant nur für die Lieferung empfehlen. Das Essen ist lecker, jedoch lässt der Service zu wünschen übrig. Das Personal ist unfreundlich und wirkt, als ob man ihnen etwas schuldet – sowohl persönlich als auch am Telefon. Beim Besuch im Restaurant schien niemand zu wissen, was die anderen tun. Wir verließen hungrig den Restourant, da das Personal sehr unfreundlich war. Die Freundlichkeit ist gleich null.

Wir kommen seit mehreren Jahren immer mal wieder nach Paderborn zum Essen. Die Qualität der Speisen ist durchgehend gleich. Egal welches Gericht man ausprobiert, einfach super lecker, sehr traditionell. Auch das Personal ist immer freundlich, auch wenn das Lokal eigentlich immer brechend voll ist. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut. Aber man sollte es definitiv nicht dort verzehren. Der Service ist die reinste Katastrophe, unfreundlich und nimmt Bestellungen irgendwie falsch auf. Der gesamte Laden ist unterirdisch dreckig, von den Toiletten will ich gar nicht erst anfangen. Ambiente gibt es keines.

Überragend leckeres Essen , leckerster iskender den wir jemals gegessen haben. Sehr gut besucht und sehr freundlich.

Essen ist ganz okay, aber meiner Meinung nach nicht zeitgemäß, dass heutzutage keine EC Kartenzahlung angeboten wird.

Ich kann mich hier nur über den Döner dieses Ladens äußern. Und der ist momentan für mich der einer der besten der Stadt. Von der Menge her wirklich ausreichend, um alleine davon satt zu werden, was selten ist. Vom Geschmack her meistens sehr gut, raffiniert gewürzt. Ich habe letztens aber auch einen Döner dort bekommen, der flach schmeckte. Muss am Personla liegen, weil ich am selben Tag auch Beschwerden über eine falsch ausgeführte Bestellung hörte. Abends oft voll besetzt, so dass man auch mal etwas auf seine Bestellung warten muss. Spricht aber eher für den Laden.

Hallo zusammen, nach einer spontanen Entscheidung auf einer Durchreise bin ich sehr positiv überrascht worden!! Eigene Parkplätze fand ich auf Anhieb nicht! Wir konnten nichtdestotrotz in unmittelbarer Nähe parken. Ambiente ist nicht das neueste aber irgendwie passend zu dem ganzem Bild. Es ist sauber und ordentlich. Personal ist sehr freundlich und wir wurden ohne Reservierung sofort zu einem der freien Tische gebeten und bedient. Meine Frau hatte Lammspiess und ich hatte hänchengeschnitzteltes aus sac (türkische Spezialität aber auch in Bosnischen Küche stark vertreten). Das Essen war in circa 20 bis 25 Minuten auf dem Tisch! Alles wirkte sehr frisch und hat auch so geschmeckt! Der Salat war knackig und frisch. Portion sind ausreichend groß und man bekommt auch türkischen Steinofen Brot dazu. Wir waren zwar auf der Durchreise aber wir werden jede Gelegenheit dazu nutzen noch einmal hier lecker zu essen! Sehr empfehlenswert!! Gruß Elvir

Im Internet steht immeroch geöffnet bis 4 Uhr am Wochenende und man kommt dahin und dann heißt es wir schließen um 12 oder 1. jedes Mal

Wir haben hier während Libori noch in der Nacht eine Stärkung zu uns genommen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen ist wirklich hochwertig im Vergleich zu anderen Döner-Läden und die Preise sehr fair. Die Bedienung war zwar etwas chaotisch, aber trotzdem immer nett. Wir kommen sicher mal wieder

Sehr gutes türkisches Grillrestaurant/Imbiss. Frisch zubereitet vom Holzkohlegrill. Aber natürlich gibts es auch den klassischen Döner. Da es eher ein Imbiss ist, haben sie sehr günstige Preise. Also nichts für ein romantisches Candleligjtdinner aber man kann im Sommer trotzdem gut draußen sitzen. Ist immer gut besucht aber wirklich lange warten braucht man eigtl nie. Geht alles zügig. Zu empfehlen!
