Restaurant Gusto in Meckenheim

We came here with our daughters to have lunch. We ordered a salad with chicken breast strips, cheeseburger menu and children's menu. We all agreed that we would recommend the restaurant. Everything that was supposed to be crispy was crispy, everything that was supposed to be fresh was fresh. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The price was on par with when we go out to the Italian restaurant. It was higher than some fast food chains, but it matched the quality! The ambience was clean, stylishly furnished and inviting to linger. I can imagine that not every visitor gets a seat because there aren't many tables. There are few roadside parking spaces. Surprisingly, there are several designated free parking areas in Meckenheim and one was right around the corner (2min walk). The decision to get off the highway to eat here was worth it.

It was cozy, the service was friendly. The food was plentiful. Good price-performance ratio. Happy to come back!

The room was cold, my food was ok but not hot and mineral water was only available in glasses, which is forbidden according to the mineral water regulations.

Beer garden reserved for 6 p.m., menus and drinks arrived quickly, waiter promised to come back immediately, wanted to bring drinks to another table first. The beer garden was filling up, the waiter no longer had an eye for us and took orders from guests who arrived after us. At least two tables that were occupied after us had already received their food. At around 6:50 p.m. three dishes finally arrived, the fourth, a lasagne, finally arrived at around 7 p.m., was charred on the edge and correspondingly dry. The worst lasagna I have ever eaten! Since I was hungry, I ate them, also because I didn't feel like having to wait for food again. Pointed out to the waiter that I didn't make a reservation for 6 p.m. and then had to wait an hour for the food. Looking at the rest of the lasagna, he mumbled: It seems to have been tasty. Not a word of apology! We have eaten there many times and have always been very satisfied with the service and the quality of the food.
