Good restaurant with good food and friendly service. Outdoor beer garden is only recommended when the weather is nice.

Nice beer garden to the left and right of an agricultural path a little away from wine presses. We have been here several times and have always been satisfied. The menu ranges from Maultaschen to Argentinian beef steak. In between there is a stand for tarte flambée and pinsas. The waitresses are consistently attentive and friendly. Opposite the actual beer garden there is the “Alm” which also has a rustic outdoor area. The alpine hut is perfect for private celebrations.

As always, nice staff and the outside area is very comfortable. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the salad was tasty. My husband's schnitzel was tender and not dry....

first to the negative: It's a shame that we don't always have such super warm weather in the evening. Everything else is positive. Great food, great location, small ugly playground right next to the tables, but at least a playground :) TABLECLOTH clean!!! I never experience that otherwise. The first time I didn't have to feel disgusted when I sat down. Even the parasols are all mold-free and have no cracks. Toilet very nice and clean. Finally you can eat outside in peace without the annoying cigarette smoke. I don't know if it was because of the distance to the other table, but I didn't notice the smoke. Otherwise it's ALWAYS an issue. We had schnitzel, roast pork and burgers. All very, very good.

I found the feta salad to be very good and, above all, really enough to fill you up. My wife couldn't finish her tuna salad...and that was good too. Service very attentive.

We were just there to grab a little something. The service staff made it clear to us several times within a very short space of time that we had to place the order quickly, otherwise the kitchen would close. We were so impressed by the manner that we stood up after ordering our drinks. Disgraceful treatment of guests.

We felt uncomfortable because the waitress only gave us the season ticket after we asked and put us under so much pressure while we sat down and ordered that we no longer wanted to be served. So we ended up canceling everything.

Food great, service flop... I had dinner with you in May and had a very, very tasty meal. It was marrow dumpling soup and two salads. Everything from the kitchen was really excellent. Big praise to the kitchen team. And now unfortunately comes my negative experience: We would have liked to order dessert and more drinks afterwards. Unfortunately that wasn't possible because no one asked us about it for over 45 minutes. The empty plates were not cleared away even though food was served at the next table. You could have taken it with you at any time when you ran out.

We always enjoy coming here. The food is simply good, the staff is nice and accommodating and everything happens pretty quickly, even though it's always full here. Thank you and keep it up 😊

Good food with a very good price-performance ratio.

Thin schnitzels for too much money. Orders were forgotten and wrong drinks were served. On top of that, we paid €7 too much. They were so stupid and didn't let us get an invoice because everyone was charged one after the other in a large group.

Wonderful location and delicious food

Food has declined so much in recent years but the price has risen. Went there at the weekend and ordered fried potatoes as a side dish. I don't understand fried potatoes, but what I ate was definitely a fried potato from the day before yesterday. Very disappointing. And where were the salad side dishes that we got for years?

Good home cooking with Baden/Swabian cuisine. The Maultaschen and the lentils with spaetzle and strings as well as the Swiss sausage salad and the steaks could convince us. In summer, beautiful beer garden and excursion destination for cyclists and hikers. The staff is friendly, free parking in front of the house.

The restaurant was recommended to us and it was our first time there. It was super pleasant. The menu is very extensive and the prices are reasonable. There is something for every budget. But at least you won't be disappointed after eating. The taste and quantity are worth the price. It was the best meal I've had in a long time. There were 9 of us and everyone was thrilled. Leftovers were prepared to take away by the very nice waitress. The atmosphere and climate in the restaurant were pleasant, even though the house was full. We'll be back soon. Many. We entered the restaurant and I just asked the waitress if the kitchen was still open and the waitress asked us what time it was? It was just 8:45 p.m. And asked us to go in with a face! Is this the friendly Baden hospitality? Please no! It took forever for our order to be taken and even then we were not adequately served. The culinary journey has now begun: The food was also disappointing. Not only was the food tasteless, but it also didn't seem to be freshly prepared. The presentation left a lot to be desired and the quality was nothing like what you would expect for the price. Overall, the second visit was a big disappointment like the first visit and unfortunately I wanted to give the restaurant another chance. I would not recommend this restaurant. Hopefully they will improve their service and the quality of their food to provide future guests with a more pleasant experience.

Had dinner at this restaurant. The two girls at the service were both very friendly and very attentive even though the restaurant was completely booked. We got the drinks after just 2 minutes. The food also came promptly. The salad was very tasty and everyone also enjoyed the main course. The price was a bit high, but the friendliness and quality of the food were completely convincing. We'd love to come back....

The food was good. Unfortunately it just took a long time to get it on the table. It's a shame that the service wasn't really attentive either. The drink glasses and bottles stood empty on the table for ages. We would have liked to drink more, unfortunately this was due to the service. Was a guest here on March 7th, 2024 and am very disappointed with the price development and the menu. Not only was the fact that the prices were significantly increased at the turn of the year annoying, but also that dishes that had a side salad in 2023 are now also offered without a side salad. So you now have to order the side salad for around 4.50 euros extra. My companion ordered a salad with salmon strips. Here, too, the prices were significantly increased and the salad plate was not served in the usual abundance. In particular, the 3 salmon strips were significantly narrower and thinner than usual in 2023. When I visit a restaurant where I am a frequent guest, I as a guest have certain expectations of the quality and volume of the food. I could have accepted the general price increase, but the removal of included side salads and the salmon strips, which were almost halved in quantity, was very disappointing. It's a shame - I will reduce my visits to the Grenzsägemühle in the future in favor of other restaurants that still calculate their prices on a real basis.

Friendly service - Commanding restaurant boss The food wasn't as good as we enjoyed it about a year ago. Unfortunately, our Wiener Schnitzel was very tough. Our friendly complaint was simply acknowledged. We found the tone of the "boss" (white hair) towards his friendly and committed employees very unpleasant.

Despite a reservation, we waited 30 minutes for our table. The eight of us had to squeeze together at a small table. Service completely overwhelmed and unfriendly. After the bill we weren't wished a nice evening or anything like that, but were just hissed off without a word... Catastrophic. Never again.

Everything is slowing down a bit right now. Unfortunately. Previous recession: As always, very professional service. The food ordered comes quickly and the quality is at a high level across the board. The prices are in the upper midfield. The best in the area in the performance class offered. The service staff are mostly friendly. The change in ownership certainly didn't hurt the restaurant. The existing know-how is obviously being maintained and in my opinion the restaurant has been able to improve in some areas. Although you can hardly expect any culinary experiments here, some of the dishes have matured so much in terms of taste over decades that it couldn't be better. Dealing with special requests is also worth mentioning. Special requests when ordering? No problem. Catering for a big celebration? No problem. Catering for a small family celebration? No problem. Everything is very routine. Now worth a top recommendation ☆☆☆☆☆

The food was very good, but I found the portion size to be too small in relation to the price (or too expensive for the quantity), so I deducted a star here. The front area (summer garden) looks very bright and friendly, but due to the very dominant smell of gas from the heaters, we then went into the interior. These are rustic and cozy, but initially seemed a bit dark, but the lights were later switched on. There is one point deducted for service because we were very irritated by the reaction of the waitress when we kindly asked her to please light the candle that was on the table: it was already very warm in the room, so she wouldn't light the candle light. By the way, we as guests couldn't confirm the impression; her feeling was probably due to the fact that she had a lot to do and was therefore stressed.

The food was very tasty and the service staff were very friendly and accommodating 👍 have been guests several times and have always been very satisfied. There is a playground for children, which is often used. The beer garden also invites you to linger. Price-performance ratio fits 👍

Bedienung ist super schnell und sehr freundlich. Essen war super lecker. Gerne wieder.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Karte seit Jahren gleich daher insbesondere für Vegetarier wenig kreativ und abwechslungsreich. Der Service war etwas langsam, leider kamen die Gerichte zeitversetzt am Tisch und die Weine zum Hauptgericht als wir fast fertig waren.

Obwohl wir bereits mehrfach die Grenzsägmühle als zufriedene Gäste in der Vergangenheit verließen, waren wir sehr gespannt, wie sich die Mehrwertsteuererhöhung etc. im neuen Jahr auf den Betrieb auswirken wird. Um es vorweg zu nehmen. Das Level ist nach wie vor sehr hoch. Das Lokal war sehr stark frequentiert was keinen negativen Einfluss auf den Service sowie die Speisen und die Schnelligkeit hatte. Unsere Bedienung Heike hatte alles im Griff. Preise sind nach wie vor sehr moderat. Empfehlenswert.

Wer gerne mal sehr gut essen gehen will, ist bei der Grenzsägmühle an der richtigen Adresse. Der traditionell eingerichtete Gastraum, der beheizte Wintergarten, der große Biergarten oder die Eventlocatin nebenan im Berghüttenstil bieten tolles Ambiente. Das Essen ist zwar etwas teurer, dafür bekommt man dafür reichliche Portionen von sehr leckerer Qualität. Auch die große Karte bietet bei Essen und Trinken für jeden etwas. Rund um ein tolles Restaurant.

Super Wirtshaus mit gehobenen Standard. Kann es nur empfehlen dort mal hin zugehen . - Essen 100 Punkt - Ambiente, 100 Punkte - Biergarten 100 Punkte - Bar Inklusiv Getränke 100 Punkte - Neubau/Skihütte/Restaurant/Bar/Außenbereich, 100 Punkte Ich bin sehr viel unterwegs, von Limburg an der Lahn bis nach Achern und kenne daher einige Restaurants. Die Grenzsägmühle gehört definitiv mit zu den besten. Wer es gemütlich haben möchte im Wirtshaus Flair oder in einem schönen Biergarten, der ist hier genau an am richtigen Ort. Wer es eilig hat und in einer neumodischen Umgebung sein Essen zu sich nehmen möchte, ist hier 100% fehl am Platz. Ich kann das Familien, Pärchen oder Bargänger nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Die Grenzsägmühle in Keltern überzeugt mit einer bezaubernden Weihnachtsdekoration, die die Atmosphäre besonders festlich gestaltet. Der hausgemachte Kartoffelsalat ist ein wahres Highlight und überzeugt geschmacklich. Die Schnitzel sind solide, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Der Service punktet durch außerordentliche Freundlichkeit und ständige Präsenz. Die Preise sind etwas höher, doch die Gesamterfahrung rechtfertigt den Besuch.

Der Spinat mit Spiegeleiern un Bratkartoffeln ist sehr zu empfehlen. Er steht nicht auf der Karte, aber zumindest mittags bekommt man ihn.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag Abend da und hatten reserviert. Im Gastraum ist alles sehr eng. Warum stehen auf der Tafel Speisen die es bereits direkt bei Öffnung am Abend nicht mehr gab?

Im Sommer um draußen zu sitzen ein super Restaurant. Innen ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Einfache aber leckere Küche. Der verrückte Salat ist mega. Schön um ein Weinchen oder Feierabend Bier im Sommer zu trinken. Immer wieder gerne.

Super nettes Erlebnis, gutes und leckeres Essen, frisch zubereitet. Gute Auswahl, für jeden was dabei. Sehr nette Bedienung, Ende Oktober im "Wintergarten" und trocken und warm sitzen, echt toll. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Leider mussten wir 2 Stunden warten, bis wir endlich das Essen bekommen haben. Auch die Preise sind durchaus hoch gegriffen. Dafür gab es als Entschuldigung Kaffee aufs Haus. Das Essen ist zudem wirklich sehr gut und Portionen sind üppig. Daher reicht es noch für 4 Sterne.
