Restaurant Ginza in Lörrach

For lunch we ordered chicken M11 with yellow curry sauce and sweet and sour duck with pineapple M6 including spring rolls. After about 20 minutes the main courses arrived, followed by the cold spring rolls without sauce upon request. After further questioning we received a plate without cutlery and finally after further questioning the sauce, rice and side cutlery. The chicken was lukewarm but ok. The fatty duck came without pineapple, but with peppers, onions, carrots and bamboo. When we asked, we were told that the chef doesn't do that with pineapple. There was fresh pineapple at the buffet meal. We have never eaten such bad duck anywhere in the world. What little meat there was was hard and fatty. One star is one too many. They only want buffet eaters, but offer lunch menus. Service was also bad. Never again Ginza!!!!!

I was there for the first time. By recommendation. This type of restaurant is not for me personally. At an all-you-can-eat buffet, I don't want to get the drinks myself. It took forever until a waiter finally got me to the right station for tea and I had to make it myself!!! The price is too high for that. The food was average and the selection was good. It was very bright and had a rather cold interior.

First of all, I would like to say that I have been to this restaurant quite often from time to time, and I wasn't always completely satisfied with everything, but I wasn't dissatisfied either. On the evening of November 30th, 2024, this changed suddenly... Clearly, Saturday evening, there will be a lot going on and there will be a certain level of noise, everyone should understand that and it certainly wasn't a problem for me. The first thing I and my wife noticed negatively was the open door despite +3°C, which was most likely open because the restaurant was in a cloud of smoke. The buffet had no light, which unfortunately we didn't worry about. The next point was the children "playing" in the toilet area which was not too far from the assigned seat. Children are louder, no problem. However, it was far from being a game and the fact that the door didn't give way was a miracle in my opinion. The waiter "boss", owner or whoever was in charge there didn't seem to mind at all after clarifying the situation because it wasn't his problem. I also discovered that the teppanyaki grill (which is widely advertised) doesn't work because there was a problem with the electrical system, which also explained the broken light at the buffet. If you're lucky, the food will still be lukewarm when it arrives at the table. Mistakes or something like that can happen, but not informing a single customer about them is not possible. The guest puts the raw meat for the teppanyaki grill on their own plate and then places it in front of the grill. Since the grill was broken, some plates with raw meat were left in the heat for a good hour, which means I don't have to do that to anyone tell. Since I was tired of waiting forever for my food in an all-you-can-eat buffet, I decided to talk to the person in charge who offered me a price in advance, no problem, I also ate a little , but full price would be extortionate. However, he forgot this suggestion within 10 minutes and decided to charge me almost €70 for 2 people... For a lukewarm buffet and a broken grill. After a lot of back and forth, he relieved my wife of €50 because she gave in and didn't want to have a discussion. To wrap this all up here. We were a whole group and it was only possible for everyone to take the buffet with or buffet without drinks. Actually, I and a few others just wanted to eat a little something and have a non-alcoholic drink, but then had to pay for the full program. It was only after almost half an hour that someone came to explain to us that we had to fill our glasses ourselves and the clearing service was also not reliable. I haven't found any information about allergens. I find the prices quite high for self-service, even if you eat plenty. The robot that distributes the separately grilled plates no longer impresses me. I didn't use this service and paid around 33 euros. I also didn't find the atmosphere pleasant, even though the entrance was very nicely designed. Although we would have liked to have a chat, we had to hurry to leave because after 3 hours there would have been a surcharge. The restaurant was almost empty.

Fraudsters, dirty! Unfriendly, no staff, food is put away early, food is not refilled. Be attentive when a big celebration or birthday is coming up.

All you can eat, very low quality. *Edit* after Google flagged this review to be sent to the German lawyers for "defamation". Full of flies in the display where the food was stored at the buffet. The colour of the sushi appeared dull even if food colouring was certainly used. We were just too hungry to go somewhere else but never ever returned. We focused on cooked options but still had stomach problems upon returning home.

I've been there several times and unfortunately I have to say that it's getting worse and worse. I've never seen such carelessly prepared sushi anywhere, really just weak. Ginza Restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience! The food was absolutely first class – fresh, quality ingredients, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight. The excellent price-performance ratio is particularly positive. For the quality on offer here, the prices are more than reasonable. The service was also extremely friendly and accommodating, which further enriched the visit. If you're looking for a great restaurant, definitely try Ginza - I'll definitely be back!

This restaurant is completely overrated and incomprehensibly gets a 4.0 overall rating. First of all, the restaurant is very stuffy and there is hardly any ventilation. Afterwards, the tables are still greasy and hardly invite you to have a cozy dinner. There were probably some staff, but they were hard to recognize because they were walking around in trainer pants and leggings. They didn't know German either. We were only able to identify two people who were Asian based on their clothing; all the others came from the Eastern Bloc. Not a problem per se, but they probably felt out of place themselves. The food was actually a little below average. Anyone can deep fry, but the buffet was not very inviting. It didn't look hygienic either. The meat dishes were also hardly labeled, so you didn't know what you were eating. The “grill master” served the food incorrectly twice, so that almost everyone had to hand over their plates again. Instead of saving on staff, you should invest there. So if you want to eat below average at an Asian restaurant where hardly any Asians work, then go ahead.

There was no real service. Despite the empty restaurant, the questions were answered very briefly, cursorily, rudely and incomprehensibly. When the wrong food was delivered, nothing was done, we were just supposed to eat it anyway. Most of the brackets for the plates and glasses were dirty. The food at the buffet was old and didn't taste good, bland and excessively greasy. The toilet floor was so sticky that we were afraid we wouldn't be able to get out. Not a great visit.

They recently had 2 cute robots as their serving daughter. 🤗 What I don't like is that when you order there are 2 prices for the buffet, 1x a price without a drink, and 1x a price with a drink, including the drink, you have to get the bottle yourself and then you can't take the bottle with you If you don't finish the liter bottle, the next guest will get it and they will then pay for the drink. 🤔

I ordered fried noodles to take away. I was disappointed because it was normal spaghetti and not the usual Chinese noodles (the thinner ones). I could have made it quickly at home. It was way too expensive and definitely didn't taste good.

I assume that there has been a change of ownership, there are only new service staff and I enjoyed coming here for years! But since the change I've been there 4 times, a pure disaster, Chef de Service or whatever he's supposed to be, unfriendly and condescending! On the last visit there was no service at the table, we waited for 15 minutes and then left again even though there was almost nothing going on! After 4 attempts, I give up, the good times here are over! Go to Tenmanya or even better to Sen in Lörrach or Haltingen, worlds better than now at Ginza! Lg

Disastrous visit! The cluttered, neglected ashtray at the entrance should have warned us. The drinks were a joke: warm, non-carbonated beer, stale cola and Fanta. It felt like the drinks were leftovers from other guests. The food? Just disgusting. Sushi with gristle and overall poor quality. Our little daughter had to vomit outside the restaurant after eating. An unbearable experience that we cannot recommend to anyone. When we complained about the situation, the waiter offered us a free coffee, but we politely declined. The current positive reviews are a joke - that can't be possible. The employees probably wrote these themselves. We'll definitely never come back - that was the lowest point.

Nothing fresh and sushi was terrible, not close to authentic. Fruit not fresh, chinese food cannot be termed as fresh, flies everywhere, cheap design inside.

Food OK, nothing special but tasty. Portions could be a bit larger, especially for the pasta dishes. The service could still be improved. During the week there are both lunch menus and an "all you can eat" buffet. There is also an “all you can eat & drink” buffet, which is of course more expensive. The staff seems to be geared towards promoting this "all you can eat & drink" buffet. If, like us, you opt for the cheaper lunch menu from the menu, you no longer seem to be very welcome. At least that's how it seemed to me. Conclusion: If you want a quick, tasty meal at a reasonable price without anything nice around it, it's all fine. You are also treated kindly. However, if you want it to be cozy and warm with a nice atmosphere, it might be better to look for another place.

We ate at this restaurant last week. There was a wide variety of dishes, all fresh and delicious! Worth a recommendation.

You come to the location with expectations because the Google reviews are very positive, but for the price on Sunday of €33.90 you will be very disappointed. The food and the quality of the food are anything but good! You have a large selection but unfortunately the taste is very disappointing. The only advantage is that the drinks are included, whether beer, wine or soft drinks as much as you want. For my part, I ate here once and will never come back. Apart from the not-so-tasty food, the staff isn't really friendly, they seem annoyed and clear the plates very slowly. Out of the 5 stars I can only give it two stars.

I recently went to Ginza Restaurant, an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet, and it was a really cool experience! First of all, the selection was huge. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, spring rolls or fried noodles - it's all here. The quality of the food was also top. The crispy duck in particular was a highlight for me. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and quite modern, which I thought was really cool. The staff was also super friendly and cleared the plates quickly so that we always had room for the next course. What I also thought was great was the price-performance ratio. Getting so much and such good food for the price is really amazing. I will definitely go again, especially because it's fun to try everything possible. So if you're looking for a relaxed place to have a delicious meal with friends or family, I can really recommend Ginza!

Prices have risen sharply. Drinks flat rate (€7/p.p.) is only worthwhile for the operator. Drinks mainly from Lidl/Kaufland (own brand). Service was ok. Taste, food selection and ambience has deteriorated significantly. The meat counter felt empty and the dessert counter consisted exclusively of frozen cakes, fruit and ice cream.

Unfortunately not good anymore. We used to love going there. Now everything is dirty and completely overpriced. We're not going anymore.

We went to Ginza especially for my father-in-law's birthday because it was always good. But when we arrived I already foresaw the extent of it. There were two moving robots. Das Essen hat mit Chinesischen Essen nicht mehr viel zu tun. Alles minderwertige Qualität. Wer allerdings frist und nicht isst, kann sich hier den Bauch vollschlagen.

The Ginza restaurant and other Chinese restaurants in Baden-Württemberg are popular with the public because they offer a large selection of dishes and every time I visit the restaurant it is always almost full. Ginza Restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants. Eating there once a day would be enough for the whole day without having to think about eating. The staff are all nice and not pushy, they just get the job done. The Chinese man who works there is very respectful. The food isn't too expensive. The technical innovations include a cat robot that can also bring the order to the table on request. We always enjoy going there.

The dishes are piled up on the table and there are hardly any employees left to serve you. Now you as a guest have to get up to put your dishes on the robot. Very bad service. We used to be regular customers and are now just disappointed. Filling up the food no longer works either. One should consider whether it is beneficial to let robots work instead of decent staff.

An all can you eat restaurant with a Mongolian included. The food was delicious, everything seemed very fresh and beautifully presented, self-service drinks, and in the evening it was well filled with visitors.

The restaurant is well equipped. The choice of food wasn't big. Some meat assortments were empty. Sweets were limited. The other Asian restaurants have much more choice. The robot always brought us the wrong order :) People have no idea about the counter, when we ask what it is we hardly get an answer. The only nice thing is, all inclusive comes with drinks, which is good.

The service was a disaster and the plates were never cleared. We saw 1 server for the entire restaurant. 4 out of 7 guests didn't know Ginza and probably won't go there again. Quality has deteriorated significantly. The selection has become smaller, certain dishes are not or only rarely refilled (sushi). We took red crabs and they were already spoiled. We've been there a lot over the last few years, but we don't come anymore. Other buffet restaurants such as Wok 68 in Saint-Louis offer much more for the same price.

Not even 1 star deserved! This is the second time I have ordered and twice I am disappointed. The first time I ordered, my order was given incorrectly. 2nd order my food was completely in the bag instead of in packaging! I also ordered sushi but didn't get any soy sauce with it. Never again!

I ate my way through the evening buffet once. There is a lunch buffet and an evening buffet. Evenings are richer. New operator who has renovated the entire restaurant and the facilities. Also a bit of the furnishings. A delivery robot was purchased that brings the food from the Grillytation, where you can hand in your choice of meat and it is prepared individually, to the table. Unfortunately only 1 service person. She can hardly keep up with clearing the tables and taking orders from new customers. What a shame. Therefore only 3 stars. Food is good, not too spicy. However, there are no labels in the refrigerators to label everything. Was better with the voters.

Were there in the evening around 8 p.m., everything was confusing. The service didn't explain anything to us about how it works here. The food was cold and some of it didn't look fresh. Things were rarely refilled. Children were screaming from the playroom and throwing objects into the dining area. Plates were not cleared from our table. Once and never again.

Located in an industrial wasteland, terrible neon lights, poorly maintained eating streets, strange service staff but also very special guests..No ambience, everything seems very cheap..But the price was very high...Euro 117.00 for two adults and 2 children (12 years) who hardly ate anything. Good choice of Chinese food and a bit of Japan with a small choice of sushi. The food there is both already prepared and cooked on the spot by a chef in Teppanyaki style (on a giant griddle). The all-inclusive formula is recommended, for approx. 33 euros per person, you can eat and drink as much as you like (drinks in bottles from 0.5 for beers up to 1.2 L for carbonated drinks). The environment is welcoming and clean. The car park is huge and shares the car park of the nearby sports centre. I highly recommend it.

It has really good food and very good quality of sushi (better than some other similar all-u-can-eat buffets.) They introduced all-u-can-drink so it's really nice. The sweets are a bit too dried out, or taste like the fridge they stood at but the food, sushi, noodles are amazing. The decor is pretty, I think it's ok for get-alongs. It ain't too oriental-looking. It's fine when it comes to price and toilets are always clean.

We love going to Ginza but since my last visit with my family I have been very disappointed. You used to have fun choosing individual dishes and ending with a juicy sauce, whether spicy, hot, very hot or sweet and sour, but now it doesn't taste good, you can't even feel the hot sauce. I had to add soy extra so that I could I feel something, I'm very disappointed. The prices are extremely high, I feel like I'm in an all-inclusive holiday hotel. I passed this on to the boss but he didn't understand me.

The food was good, but the waiter was very unfriendly. On the way home we just wanted to grab something quick to eat. We wanted to order without drinks as we were in a hurry. It was said that a surcharge of 10% would be charged if you wanted to consume without drinks. Afterwards we ordered a bottle of water. When paying, the waiter quickly read out the order and showed the total. However, I couldn't read the Chinese writing and asked him to show him the list again. The waiter guessed wrong and charged more than we actually spent.

This fine Chinese restaurant is not far from the center and easily accessible by car. There are enough parking spaces available. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff friendly. The selection in the buffet is large and the food is fine. “All inclusive” with drinks is worthwhile for families and groups. Very great idea! A stop here is recommended for anyone traveling through or shopping in Lörrach. Have fun.
