Restaurant Ginza in Lörrach

We used to eat at Ginza for years, and it was always delicious. After moving two years ago, we were in the area today and took the opportunity to spontaneously eat at Ginza. I'm pretty sure the owner has changed, because the restaurant looks completely different now. So far, so good, but the new staff barely speak German and are rather unfriendly—no smiles, no thank you, no goodbye, nothing. The buffet was half empty, and while we were ordering drinks, the other employees went through the buffet and practically emptied the already nearly empty containers. So, there were only dried-out, cold remnants left. Oh well, we'll just have freshly cooked food then. We had to send back the first plate of teppanyaki because the contents smelled so awful. After some research, it turned out that it was probably the spoiled bamboo shoots. All in all, a disappointment, and we won't be coming back.

It was not a good culinary experience that I would repeat; I think there are better alternatives in the same area, hence only one star.

Disappointing. Sadly I feel the food quality has gone down hill. The quality of the food is not like it was some years ago. When we were leaving we wanted to pay individually for our meals, but the cashier tried pushing that one of us pay for everything on 1 credit card.

I ate here a few days ago. All you can eat and drink. It felt strange to just help myself and see that there were fewer staff. I found that a bit heartless or cold. But anyway... The food was delicious 🤤 and the drinks were good too. Everything was clean and tidy. Only the ice cream counter looked a bit unappetizing, as always. Looking forward to next time 😛🤤

A huge selection of fresh, delicious dishes – there's truly something for everyone! The entire restaurant is modern, clean, and incredibly inviting. My personal highlight? Definitely the robots that bring the food to your table. The kids love it, and honestly… so do I! 😄 This restaurant is fantastic for families: there are high chairs, a play area inside, and even one outside, so the little ones can be entertained while you relax and enjoy your meal. Fresh, modern, and kid-friendly – ​​highly recommended!

The price-performance ratio was actually very good. Yesterday, for the first time, we were somewhat dissatisfied with a few dishes. However, we will definitely give the restaurant another chance.

The restaurant was very crowded, extremely hot, and anything but cozy. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic—there was no chance of a relaxing meal. We had been looking forward to a nice evening, but after about 30 minutes, we paid and left. My advice: Spend a little more money and go to a better restaurant—it's definitely worth it.

Premises: Modern, cold, loud, and uncomfortable. It has nothing to do with a Chinese restaurant; it's more like a cafeteria. Food: Cold, dry burnt rice. MSG-laden soup, fish wasn't fresh, some fruit was brown, and the desserts were cheap and sometimes dry. The robots: Impersonal and disruptive. The bowel movement afterward was very unpleasant. Not worth the money and not recommended!

Ordered a plated meal of sweet and sour chicken and Peking soup. The food was a complete disappointment for €24. I've rarely eaten so badly at a Chinese restaurant. There was no service. No one spoke to me, absolutely nothing... The air was stuffy, too hot and humid. Hygiene was questionable... A huge room with no atmosphere. After an hour, you're practically glued to your chair... Never again... Not recommended ☹️

Unfortunately, my last visit to Ginza in Lörrach didn't live up to my expectations. I was there a year ago, and the experience was significantly better. This time, the menu selection was very limited, and the food wasn't fresh. To make matters worse, it was served lukewarm, which greatly diminished the enjoyment. Compared to Ginza in Bad Säckingen, which I also visited, the difference was striking. There, both the selection and quality of the food were much better.

Very bad.. Paid €60 for two people, the price is okay. But all the food from the buffet was dry and old. We were there on October 20, 2025, around 7 p.m. Well, lesson learned, bottom line: never again! Oh yeah, and the Coke wasn't carbonated either.

We didn't make a reservation for three people on Thursday evening. We had the all-inclusive buffet with Afghani, beer, and wine. The selection was plentiful, with something for everyone (vegetarian, kids, and the standard dessert selection). The service was calm and relaxed, which added to the atmosphere. We recommend the baked sweet chicken and fish strips.

We were there for dinner. It was just around 5:40 p.m. I went to wash my hands before dinner and noticed that one toilet was completely covered in feces, and the other was constantly flushing. That was a real shame, as there would have been plenty of time to rectify these problems. On the way to the table, my wife and I each got a glass and something to drink, but unfortunately, the glasses had been poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. The soup was unfortunately not tasty this time, which we couldn't say about on a previous visit. There was a cocktail menu on the table, but we weren't able to order one because the wait staff only came quickly to clear the plates and then immediately left.

Plenty of selection. Great flavors. Saturday evenings include drinks you can help yourself to. A fun little robot that brings your food when it's cooked. Wheelchair accessible, plenty of space.

My husband and I went to Ginza Lörach for the first time yesterday. I saw an advertisement for this restaurant and had to try it out. I was very pleasantly surprised. First of all, there was a very spacious parking lot. The entrance was very stylish, the entire restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was lovely. A large selection of dishes, from salads to sweet treats. The staff was very friendly, especially the friendly waitress Lisa, the CAT robot, who brought your ordered food directly to your table and was very friendly. If plates were empty, the staff immediately collected them. Very good value for money. I can recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back.

It was my first time there and never again. The food was lukewarm, dripping with fat. The white wine was lukewarm. When I asked if they had any cold ones, I was told that's how you drink it. The waitress couldn't understand our German. And for logistical reasons, because my partner had ordered the buffet for 16.90, I couldn't order the buffet for 22.90, which would have included two drinks.

Catastrophic restaurant, not enough food and when we cooked everything was burnt and covered in oil. Everything was catastrophic, avoid it.

Unfortunately, the buffet isn't warm enough. The kitchen is slow and unmotivated. Drinks only come in large bottles (1.5 liters). Some of the bottles in the refrigerated section are open; I don't know how long they've been open or what the previous customer did with them or poured into them. Service, well, there are more attentive and friendly competitors. Atmosphere is sterile and not homey.

The peanut sauce used to be creamy and delicious. Now it's watery, has little flavor, and above all, it's flaky, which shouldn't be the case. Well, we'll think about whether to come back again.

A classic Asian all-you-can-eat buffet with a decent selection. The ingredient labels are, as always, only partially accurate. The taste was fine for me. There's the option to upgrade to all-inclusive, which also includes drinks. You can simply grab them from the fridge. The ambiance is typical of such restaurants. Large hall, lots of decorations. But totally fine. Unfortunately, there's a large TV hanging above the buffet. It was playing a children's program without sound. It's obviously a magnet for children. They don't eat anything. When I asked if it could be turned off, since there were no other children present, the answer was yes. Unfortunately, there was no response, and the TV remained on. The games corner is a poorly furnished room with mostly vending machines. The restrooms are, as is often the case in such restaurants, rather average. All sorts of odors were noticeable. But apparently clean.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good; it tasted okay; I don't know if it was the spices. The sushi was delicious, though, and there was a lot to choose from. The inside is really nice.

Last night we went to Ginza for a buffet dinner again. It's currently being "renovated." There was a lot of trash outside, and people were assembling tables, etc. The buffet view wasn't bad, but it's all-inclusive with drinks... there are dozens of refrigerators full of drinks from Penny/Lidl, which isn't that bad! At least the beer is freshly tapped. When we get our food from the buffet, it stinks of cigarette smoke. People are standing by the open entrance door smoking... There's hardly anyone at their table or eating. People are smoking on the terrace, and the doors are completely open, letting everything in. Dear friends, if you absolutely must smoke, please do so in a way that doesn't bother other guests. Or the operator should make sure that non-smokers can also enjoy their meal.

The worst Chinese restaurant so far. Most of the food at the buffet was cold and poorly prepared. The fried food was almost black. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't even mediocre. The only bright spot is the grill; most of the dishes were deliciously prepared and served hot. Drinks are only cheap drinks from the corner supermarket. Even beer comes from plastic bottles. Service: After opening, they were still cleaning the entire restaurant. This should have been done by then. The waitress seemed unfriendly and unmotivated. After four plates were stacked on top of each other, they were only taken away. Ambience: A far cry from China! The decor, at least, doesn't resemble it. The exception is the entrance area. The only Asian person in the restaurant was at the cash register to take the money. Paying at the table is apparently not possible. Conclusion: This experience is definitely not worth €32.90.

We always enjoy going to Ginza! The all-you-can-eat option is especially worthwhile at lunchtime, and the food is really good.

The buffet offers a wide range of fried foods, a small selection of raw vegetables, and various types of fish and meat. However, the labels for the meat were either missing or incorrect, making eating an unexpected guessing game. The all-you-can-eat drink package concept is tempting at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it could be improved. The selection ranged from Lidl iced tea to Tetra Pak orange juice to Coca-Cola. At least both the drinks and the glasses were pleasantly chilled, which was refreshing on a warm day. The initial service was unfortunately less than inviting. I was seated at a table and then left to my own devices without any explanation of the all-you-can-eat buffet concept or the drink selection. You feel a bit lost at first. Another shortcoming was the hygiene situation. Clamps for the grill service were very sticky, rusty (?). Some of the handles/forks on the buffet itself were also sticky. In addition to the guests, flies also seemed to have a permanent place in the restaurant, sometimes even on the raw meat. I also found the presence of dogs in the dining area unusual. I didn't feel well looked after; the food was filling but didn't impress me. It's a shame, the good reviews gave me hope for something different. I won't be back.

We discovered the restaurant through the TikTok app and tried it out with our children. The selection is huge, everything is beautifully presented and clean. The fresh meat and vegetables looked great. The sushi was also incredibly delicious. There were also various fried items and delicious curries, a fresh salad buffet, and a delicious potato gratin. There's something for everyone, and the price, including drinks, is unbeatable. The fun part was the robot cat that brought the food to the table, a playful touch that the children especially loved. We arrived very early and had plenty of time to look around. I think when the restaurant is full, there might be a wait. We were definitely pleasantly surprised and will definitely come again.

Never again for us. We actually wanted to go to another all-you-can-eat restaurant. But that one was full. Then we read about the all-you-can-eat partner on the website. And we regret it so much. It was packed with people, and the food was constantly empty. The sushi, in particular, was empty. Where you can build your own plate, there was something about crayfish. There weren't any. And I had to wait 30 minutes!!! for my plate. Then I wasn't hungry anymore! The plates aren't cleared away. The staff hardly speak any German. Most of the food is deep-fried and swimming in grease. The staff are unfriendly. The room we were sitting in was sooo hot. Almost unbearable. One family was given a fan. The rest had to fry like they were in a sauna. You couldn't open the window because of the flies. Really, really awful. We regret paying 84 euros for this!

Wow. I don't expect much from buffets. But this place, the food was really good and fresh. They had bbq seafood, seafood sashimi, lamb chops, steaks. Overall, really good quality and a reasonable price for delicious food.

After we sat outside for 25 minutes waiting for the food (one dish), I went in and asked. I don't think much needs to be said for €14... The duck was so soggy with fat, and the noodles inside were a complete joke. Once and never again. So outrageous. Addendum: My 7-year-old didn't even get full.

I always enjoy eating here. I had a complete gastrectomy (my stomach was removed due to a tumor) and have to be extremely careful about what and how much I eat because of stomach pain and diarrhea. But every time I eat at Ginza, I don't have diarrhea or stomach pain afterward. That's why I really enjoy eating here 🥰

This is an excellent restaurant, unfortunately I had a bad experience going there. The food is good and the staff is pleasant, however be careful because there are two formulas, one including drinks. I paid €22.90 (formula with drinks) without having taken a single bottle of any kind. All that for a glass of lemonade (available at will without information concerning the change of formula). Disappointed despite my very good past experiences...

We went out to eat, and a lot has changed. Unfortunately, it was too warm inside. The kids spent the whole time at the toy vending machine. The staff had trouble understanding what was going on. Children up to 4 still had to pay even though they hadn't eaten anything. Nice, big buffet.

The place smells very bad. And there is many flies in the restaurant. Against the front door there was rubbish and it was smelling so bad I could feel it from inside the restaurant. Unfortunately we ate there because we were so hungry but definitely not worth it. A restaurant should be clean first of all. It is also expensive. I don't recommend this place.

It was our first time going to a place, as someone who goes to many yumul places, it is one of the cleanest places in the vicinity, although the seafood variety is classic, it is good that it is in cold cabinets + the meat is tasty and fresh, at least there is no sauce to hide it. Furthermore, only about half of the menu items were available at the counter. We therefore decided not to eat there and left the restaurant immediately. No, a very unfriendly boss who forbade his employees from giving me any information about the "Rosengarten" restaurant. He himself was sitting on his terrace at the beginning, talking on the phone, then came into the restaurant and quite rudely interrupted the conversation I was having with his waitresses. He said, "You wouldn't know the name of the restaurant," even though the two establishments are about 250 meters apart. I personally found it very rude!

Quite a yummy Chinese buffet restaurant. Lots of variety of dishes and good flavours. Staff are very helpful and provided excellent service. Lots of seating and a nice vibe.

Sorry, the website says 17€ per person all you can eat and we would have to pay 32€ per person, what's that about?

The first thing that struck me was the smell. A melange of uncertainty, despair, and the faint whisper of past culinary sins wafted towards me. It was as if someone had opened a time capsule full of long-forgotten refrigerator leftovers and then decided that humanity was ready for this revelation. As I approached the main courses, I felt my spirits slowly dwindle. The "meat"—if you can call it that—was so tough I almost feared my teeth would rebel from the exertion. It had the consistency of a worn-out athletic shoe and tasted like it had been locked in a room with a bad mood and even worse seasoning for hours. And the "side dishes"? They were as exciting as watching paint dry, only the paint probably would have tasted better.

This was our first time at Ginza. It wasn't busy during the week. The service was friendly, and plates were cleared promptly. The food was tasty and the drinks were refilled. The only thing that bothers me is that they say there's more selection on the weekend, yet it costs the same during the week (with less selection) as on the weekend.

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant and went to Ginza. We were quickly disappointed; the food wasn't good and there wasn't much choice. When we tried to pay with our MasterCard, we were asked to come forward. She took my card, put it in, and the payment was successful. Then the owner pressed the card into my hand and turned around. No thanks, or was everything okay? Or, "Have a nice evening," nothing. Very, very rude. We'll never go there again. And I had diarrhea too.

We'll be back for more at Ginza. On one of our last visits, I felt the quality had declined significantly, especially at lunch. For example, the containers at the buffet weren't always refilled, and what was available was cold. We returned after a long time, and I have to say that I can once again recommend Ginza with a clear conscience. Everything was delicious, hot, and constantly refilled. I'll be back.

There were 5 of us (3 children 2 adults) for the evening buffet. Drinks flat rate was included in the price. There was a very large selection of food, there was something for everyone. Everything was fresh and warm. I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews. The waitresses were also very friendly. After paying, the boss even gave our littlest one a small toy. We all went home more than satisfied and full! We would love to come back!

Never again Ginza!!! All you can eat with drinks is a complete rip off... I didn't take a drink but still had to pay because there was someone at the table who had been drinking. The waitress couldn't even come to us and hadn't taken us. The evening buffet used to be €16-17, now around €30, but the food didn't get any better... For the Swiss it's irritable, but as a normal earner in Germany it's too expensive

BIGGEST RIP-OFF!!!! What you get for the price is simply unbelievable compared to the Ginza in Bad Säckingen!! The food is OK. What I do complain about, however, are the drinks served. Apparently leftovers from bottles that had already been opened were used - some of them were so old that the drinks were hardly or no longer edible. Too bad! ☹️

This restaurant is completely overrated and incomprehensibly gets a 4.0 overall rating. First of all, the restaurant is very stuffy and there is hardly any ventilation. Afterwards, the tables are still greasy and hardly invite you to have a cozy dinner. There were probably some staff, but they were hard to recognize because they were walking around in trainer pants and leggings. They didn't know German either. We were only able to identify two people who were Asian based on their clothing; all the others came from the Eastern Bloc. Not a problem per se, but they probably felt out of place themselves. The food was actually a little below average. Anyone can deep fry, but the buffet was not very inviting. It didn't look hygienic either. The meat dishes were also hardly labeled, so you didn't know what you were eating. The “grill master” served the food incorrectly twice, so that almost everyone had to hand over their plates again. Instead of saving on staff, you should invest there. So if you want to eat below average at an Asian restaurant where hardly any Asians work, then go ahead.

My family and I have been visiting Ginza for a long time. As in the past, food is super tasty and the price is acceptable.

It was very burnt today and we couldn't enjoy the food

I have rarely regretted spending €90 so much. We (my husband, I, my children 5 and 3 years old) had dinner there yesterday. The taste of the food was mediocre. Visually, I didn't find it very appealing because the raw food for the grill was cooled but some of it had already been cooked. After biting into the baked fish and spitting it out again because it unfortunately tasted spoiled, I was really afraid of food poisoning for the first time. (Luckily I'm fine) The price is a mystery to me! The performance for the price is disproportionate. If the service had been at least good, I wouldn't be so upset, but unfortunately the service there only consists of being shown to the table. To pay you have to go to the checkout like you would for a check out. I also really don't understand why I pay €17 (including drinks) for a 5 year old child...what a shame, a shame! That was the first and last time we ate there!

From a culinary point of view it wasn't great... diaper bags, gummy bears and foam kisses for dessert 😅 what's Chinese about that??? The prices are questionable. Four of us were there for lunch and ordered the lunch buffet. I expressly pointed out that we would like to take the buffet and order the drinks individually. However, 4x €22.90 were charged on the bill, which corresponds to the buffet including drinks. However, we actually only consumed one bottle of water. This results in a difference of €25, which was charged exclusively for drinks (1 bottle of water). We had clearly stated that we would like to order the drinks individually as needed. When we asked, we were simply told that you could drink as much as you wanted.
