Restaurant Georgenhof in Markt Schwaben

Once and never again...burger buns dry and hard as biscuits. Parties dry. Lamb skewers tough, and to top it off, an extra side of grilled vegetables (about 2 tablespoons) for €5.

We were there yesterday. The female server was very friendly and attentive. The male server didn't speak German—staff shortages are common everywhere. Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre. The carpaccio was defrosted in the microwave until it was gray. The appetizers and main courses arrived at the same time. Unfortunately, each appetizer came separately, so we didn't eat together. The pasta was overcooked, the skewers were dry, the scampi weren't peeled (guts were missing!), the first chicken burger was burnt black, and the second was undercooked. All in all, not recommended, unfortunately.

The new owner of this restaurant is simply fantastic. The food tastes amazing, is so fresh and wonderfully seasoned. We had the mixed starter platter and three different meat dishes, all of which were excellent.

Giving one star for the extremely slow service. Took more than half an hour just to order. The drinks came half an hour after and the food after another half an hour. The place was not completely full, but there seems to be a lack of staff. The menu we got, was very different from the one captured in other reviews here. There were much less options, especially for vegetarians.

Bad thing Since July 7, 2023, the restaurant has been operating as Restaurant am Georgenhof. My wife and I tried it for dinner today, Friday. There were two other guests in the garden besides us. My wife ordered Caesar salad, and I ordered sea bream with fried potatoes. The only beer available on tap is Helles and wheat beer, which we learned after ordering, as the undoubtedly willing but still unfamiliar waitress brought us two 0.3-liter bottles of Pilsner so we could choose a variety. By the time the food arrived, we realized that the tables weren't wiped or cleared. Everything was just as it had been left by previous guests. My wife's salad, even visually, gave the impression that the vegetable section from the supermarket had been swept up after work; the dressing was a random one—not what you'd expect from a Caesar salad. The fried potatoes with my fish were OK, but the poor sea bream ended up in a convection oven, which killed it with excessive heat. Nothing more, and tasteless. The chef, whom the waitress called for help, stood up and told us that this was just how it was done. We expected nothing less. It's a shame, because we could have gone to our favorite Italian restaurant. We'll definitely never be unfaithful to it again.

Italian and Greek in one restaurant. There's something for every taste. And it's delicious! Time and time again.

Sehr schönes Restaurant direkt am Hotel Georgenhof angeschlossen aber mit eigener Führung. Top Qualität der Produkte und Speisen. Italienische Küche. Speisekarte als Bild dabei. Sehr nettes zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Personal. Schneller Service. Günstige Preise. Mitnahme von Speisen möglich. Telefonische Bestellung wird gerade eingerichtet. Erst seit dem 09.09.2017 mit einem neuem engagierten Pächter neu gestartet. Separater Raum für Familienfeiern vorhanden für ca. 50 Personen. Ein Besuch ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr gute Pizza und fantastische Pasta. Da lohnt es sich auch abzuholen anstatt einem Pizza Taxi
