Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen, ein gemütliches Restaurant mit guter Atmosphäre und es war nicht zu teuer 😊

Sehr lecker gegessen. (Sauerbraten). Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienungen. Schneller Service und angemessene Preise. Man sollte reservieren.

Wir waren am 1. Mai im Gasthof zur Post mit drei Personen essen. Wir haben schon sehr lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Die Speisen waren alle mit frischen Zutaten angerichtet und mit Liebe auf den Teller gebracht. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch wenn wir mal wieder in Olsberg sind.

Schöne Lage. Gutes Essen. Vielleicht etwas teurer, aber die Qualität des Essens macht es lohnenswert.

Einfach nur wow... Das Essen war großartig, liebevoll angerichtet und alles selbstgemacht. Ebenfalls zu loben ist der exzellente Service, sehr aufmerksame und super nette Bedienung. Es stimmte wirklich alles, das hat man selten. Wir waren begeistert und kommen gerne wieder. :)

Das Steak war einfach nur Perfekt und auch das Essen meiner Frau ist sehr lecker gewesen. Auch der Service schaute öfters nach ob alles in Ordnung wäre.

Wie so oft in den "gutbürgerlichen" Restaurants: Das es durchaus kreative und abwechslungsreiche vegetarische Gerichte gibt, ist hier noch nicht angekommen..... Die Speisekarte setzt hier voll auf Fleisch. Und die Fleischesser sind auch sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität der Gerichte. Wer jedoch auf Fleisch verzichtet ist hier völlig fehl am Platz. Das einzige Gericht auf der Karte sind etwas schickere Nudeln mit Tomatensoße zu einem Recht stolzen Preis bei wirklich kleinem Wareneinsatz. Die Sonderbestellung (weil nicht auf der Karte), der Salatteller ist nur ein größerer Beilagensalat und nicht wirklich toll angerichtet (auch hier für einen stolzen Preis). Deswegen kann ich hier keine bessere Bewertung abgeben, was ich eigentlich schade finde.

Sehr empfehlenswertes! Sehr gutes Restaurant mit einer kreativen Speisekarte. Die Speisen sind alle frisch und sehr schön angerichtet und es schmeckt alles sehr, sehr gut. Eine große Wein/Getränkekarte rundet das ganze sehr schön ab. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren schon mehrfach da, haben immer super lecker gegessen, wurden immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient und haben das schöne Ambiente genossen. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Qualität, die man schmeckt! Egal welche Familienfeier auch ansteht, wir essen mittlerweile nur noch im Gasthof zur Post. Jedes Gericht der Speisekarte, das wir mittlerweile probiert haben, hat stets ausgezeichnet geschmeckt und war toll angerichtet; das Essen ist bis ins Detail frisch gekocht und unglaublich hochwertig. So eine Qualität findet man selten und daher warten wir auch gerne mit viel Vorfreude die sehr angemessenen 15/20min auf das Essen. Hinzu kommt, dass der Service wirklich unvergleichlich ist, sehr familiär, professionell, zuvorkommend und humorvoll – man vergisst manchmal fast, dass man nicht alleine im Restaurant ist, so umsorgt fühlt man sich! Wir freuen uns jedes Mal ein Loch in den Bauch, wenn endlich wieder ein Besuch im Gasthof zur Post ansteht und gehen immer rundum glücklich und zufrieden.

The food is excellent. We did have to wait a long time for the schnitzels we ordered. Regarding the wine, I'd stick to one, as it, like the food, is quite expensive. We've had better schnitzels in Germany, but the whole thing looked good and tasted good. The service is friendly and helpful.

I've been here many times, and even after all these years, the food is still top-notch. The post office in Olsberg is just a bank, and I love coming here whenever I'm nearby.

These people don't want to make money. If you want to eat spontaneously, I recommend walking a bit further and eating at Stadsgesprach on the left. You'll simply be turned away with the lame excuse that the whole place is booked (3.5 hours before closing time), then we'll come back an hour and a half later. The whole place is empty and closed. Just be honest that you don't feel like staying open until closing time and want to go home early. I have more respect for that than such a lame excuse.

A modern inn with a rich tradition that hits the nail on the head. Top-notch dishes, superbly prepared. We'd happily return.

We dropped in without a reservation and were still able to stay even though almost all the tables were reserved. The service was friendly and cheerful. The food was excellent. We had the rump steak.

I was a guest at your rustic restaurant yesterday 🏡 – and it was simply a perfect evening! ✨ The Camembert starter was a dream 🧀 – crispy on the outside, wonderfully creamy on the inside. This was followed by the most tender roulade I've ever eaten 🍖 – with a fantastic sauce and delicious side dishes 🥔🥕. To top it all off, there was a wonderfully light panna cotta with fresh fruit 🍓 and delicious walnut ice cream 🍨. I would especially like to highlight the absolutely fantastic service 🙌 – super friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel welcome ❤️. We were there the day before yesterday with our dog and received a very friendly welcome and were given a good table. The food (Gründerzeit schnitzel) was delicious and plentiful, and the service was first-class. If we weren't here on vacation, we would stop here more often.

We happened to be there at lunchtime on a bike ride. We were hungry, but the kitchen was already closed. However, the friendly waitress suggested we get goulash soup or tomato soup. Both were delicious, and we were happy. Above all, we appreciated the warmth. ❤️

We (6 people) ordered five different dishes for dinner in the beer garden, all of which arrived warm and at the same time. The friendly and attentive waiters brought all the drinks we requested quickly and charmingly. Top!

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant an unserem Wochenendtripp und sind auf diesen Gasthof gestoßen. Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert und hatten großes Glück, dass die Chefin uns einen Tisch frei machen konnte. Sehr lange hatten wir nicht mehr so lecker gegessen, es war alles frisch und super lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Wenn wir wieder in der Region sein sollten, kommen wir auf jeden Fall hierher zurück, natürlich dann mit Reservierung.

An uncluttered menu with sophisticated and clever offerings invited us to try this restaurant. We weren't disappointed. My wife had the Angus beef roulades with napkin dumplings and truffled kohlrabi and I had the founder schnitzel with a mustard and onion crust on bacon beans with fried potatoes. A perfect culinary delight with large portions that were beautifully presented. In addition, great service and a great price/performance ratio. So everything to our taste. THANKS !!!

What a beautiful place. The restaurant is super cozy. The service is so friendly, accommodating, and super child-friendly! We were there with a very large group and several children. The Gasthof zur Post is a beautiful restaurant in the city center of Olsberg and is characterized by its beautiful half-timbered woodwork. The service was super friendly and even helped me with the photos for this review. Shortly afterwards our order was taken. A quarter of an hour later the food arrived and it was delicious. The meat was tender and the crust was slightly crispy. All in all a really good restaurant.

We went there on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. Starter of beef broth, main course now for Christmas “goose leg” were perfectly prepared and exactly to our taste. Really delicious, we'll definitely be back. Thanks for the great evening.

We spontaneously went to the Gasthof zur Post restaurant in the summer afternoon and felt extremely comfortable from the first moment. The boss was very, very nice and gave us a warm welcome. The restaurant was super cozy and rustic, with a great atmosphere. The food was uniquely delicious (Gründerschnitzel) and was served very quickly. We've never eaten as well as we did here and we'll definitely be back! The best restaurant in Olsberg! Thank you very much and see you next time :)

When staying in Olsberg, I tried to make a reservation at this restaurant. Two evenings were fully booked. on the third day we succeeded. delicious meal. tasty steak with vegetables and fries. steak can be served with several sauces. Had a delicious dessert.

Absolutely recommended. The food is really sensationally good. Also very rich. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. Unfortunately, you rarely find a restaurant like this anymore. We would be happy to come back at the next opportunity.

We ordered food for home and picked it up ourselves, it worked very well and the food was super tasty 😋, we will definitely do it again, price/performance ratio is 100%...

At first you don't know where to stop because the restaurant is right next to the roundabout, but there are free parking spaces all around. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic atmosphere and is really cozy. The staff is friendly and quick. The food is home-style and plentiful

The four of us had dinner here the day before yesterday. Everyone had a different dish and all were prepared very quickly. The plates were all beautifully presented and the food tasted great. The decor isn't quite to my taste, but it's clean and cozy. Will definitely come back when I'm in Olsberg.

In a word Fantastic! Our tastiest schnitzel ever, and we don't say that easily. The fries and salad were also very good. Very nice hostess who was able to find a place for us even though it was actually full. Very cozy setting and nice staff. We saw many plates passing by with all kinds of gems of meals. Very beautiful and made with love and not too cheap. Added as a favorite and will definitely come here again. In fact, reserved for next Wednesday😁.

Bij ieder bezoek aan Sauerland reserveren we een tafel, en rijden hiervoor zelfs vanaf ons hotel 40 minuten met de auto. Het diner en gastvrijheid blijft iederskeer op peil! Ik zeg, tot snel voor een volgend bezoek.

We were already in the restaurant twice. Unfortunately it was not consumed. It's a shame because the good reputation of the kitchen precedes the restaurant. Some of the staff at the counter are very friendly but also unfriendly! We had the impression that you weren't welcome at the counter! We were able to get to know the landlady on our second visit and then had our experience with her. She would occasionally crawl around behind the counter in her jogging suit and her first words to us, even though we didn't know each other, were "she wouldn't be in the mood today." We waited for the small table behind the counter. This was occupied. So we made ourselves comfortable at the counter. After about 1.5 hours and a few beers later the table was free. As we were heading towards the table the door opened and two guests arrived. When the landlady appeared behind the counter again (still in her joggers), she asked us all seriously (in a tone that sounds more familiar to me from the north of Dortmund) if we wanted to eat something else, otherwise she would have to turn away the two new guests. Tables were still free in the restaurant. We then paid quickly and left. I have visited many restaurants in over 35 years. I have had positive and not so good experiences. However, I have never experienced anything like that. Never again!!!
