At first you don't know where to stop because the restaurant is right next to the roundabout, but there are free parking spaces all around. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic atmosphere and is really cozy. The staff is friendly and quick. The food is home-style and plentiful

The four of us had dinner here the day before yesterday. Everyone had a different dish and all were prepared very quickly. The plates were all beautifully presented and the food tasted great. The decor isn't quite to my taste, but it's clean and cozy. Will definitely come back when I'm in Olsberg.

In a word Fantastic! Our tastiest schnitzel ever, and we don't say that easily. The fries and salad were also very good. Very nice hostess who was able to find a place for us even though it was actually full. Very cozy setting and nice staff. We saw many plates passing by with all kinds of gems of meals. Very beautiful and made with love and not too cheap. Added as a favorite and will definitely come here again. In fact, reserved for next Wednesday😁.

Good restaurant with a good menu. Something for everyone, dishes prepared with love. And a beautifully presented plate of food with sufficient quantity. Compliments to the employees. Tip: reserve a table because this restaurant fills up quickly due to the good quality.

Bij ieder bezoek aan Sauerland reserveren we een tafel, en rijden hiervoor zelfs vanaf ons hotel 40 minuten met de auto. Het diner en gastvrijheid blijft iederskeer op peil! Ik zeg, tot snel voor een volgend bezoek.

We were there for the first time, everything was great

We were already in the restaurant twice. Unfortunately it was not consumed. It's a shame because the good reputation of the kitchen precedes the restaurant. Some of the staff at the counter are very friendly but also unfriendly! We had the impression that you weren't welcome at the counter! We were able to get to know the landlady on our second visit and then had our experience with her. She would occasionally crawl around behind the counter in her jogging suit and her first words to us, even though we didn't know each other, were "she wouldn't be in the mood today." We waited for the small table behind the counter. This was occupied. So we made ourselves comfortable at the counter. After about 1.5 hours and a few beers later the table was free. As we were heading towards the table the door opened and two guests arrived. When the landlady appeared behind the counter again (still in her joggers), she asked us all seriously (in a tone that sounds more familiar to me from the north of Dortmund) if we wanted to eat something else, otherwise she would have to turn away the two new guests. Tables were still free in the restaurant. We then paid quickly and left. I have visited many restaurants in over 35 years. I have had positive and not so good experiences. However, I have never experienced anything like that. Never again!!!

What a cozy restaurant and the Gordon Bleu is highly recommended.

If you're in the area you should, or absolutely must, eat here!! The food and service were just to the point and super good. My wife had the sauerbraten which was out of this world, it was to die for. I had 300g steak with vegetables and fries. The steak was on point and the quality of the meat was great. I can only recommend a visit!!!!

Dividing the place on three pieces: Bar is great Restaurant is fair Hotel is poor. I was on the extension of the hotel on a building in front of the parking. The entrance is just unpleasant, the receptionist didn’t speak enough English, the room small and the blinds didn’t work. The restaurant either buffet or menu is just fair and takes long to be attended and served. The bar is wonderful, nice atmosphere, great screen for football and amazing local beer, easy to socialise with locals.

I have rarely eaten so well. The owners are very nice, the service is top and the food is world class…

Just the right thing to regain your strength after a long day of hiking. Everything fits here. We'd love to come back

Am 04.05.2024 waren wir zum Abendessen anlässlich meines Geburtstages im Gasthaus zur Post in Olsberg. Der ganze Abend war perfekt. Super Auswahl-Karte, super Essen und meine Gäste waren voll des Lobes.

When we arrived there was only one key in an envelope. It was difficult to find the key for the bicycle cellar. The rooms were ok. You could have bought breakfast as a gift, but it's not worth it in any way

I just want to write one thing: we'll gladly take the hour drive again for such delicious food.

We spent an enjoyable evening in the restaurant with 9 adults. Food, service, ambience top!! We had to wait a bit for the food, but we were compensated with an absolute culinary delight 😍 My steak couldn't be topped! The glasses were carefully and quickly refilled. All in all a perfect evening.

Easter, it was really nice I really liked the food and the atmosphere was really nice too .Service was also good, I missed a smile at times But that's probably just an impression and it was very crowded. Otherwise I felt very comfortable.

We went to the Gasthof zur Post for lunch today. Great, attentive and very, very friendly service. The food was delicious. Venison ragout, pork fillet, veal liver, everything is a poem. Vegetarian dishes and/or pasta dishes as well as small delicacies are also available. We'll definitely come back. Thank you!

Op vrijdagavond aangekomen in Olsberg en uit eten gegaan. Op de bonnefooi naar binnen gelopen bij een overvol restaurant zur post. Het was geen probleem, er werd direct een zojuist vrijgekomen tafel gereed gemaakt voor ons. Ze hebben een royale menukaart met daarop een verscheidenheid aan nationale en internationale gerechten. Vooral de Heimatskarte is uitmuntend. Grote porties heerlijk eten met een verrassende smaaksensatie. (Waarom hebben ze geen Michelinster?) Prijzen zijn eerlijk en de bediening vriendelijk en gastvrij. De tweede avond nogmaals geweest en wederom heerlijk gegeten. Deze week zullen we nog eens terug gaan.

Beter adres vind je niet in Olsberg en omgeving! Bediening was TOP. Het diner was TOP, nog nooit zo lekker gegeten. Dit heb ik de bediening ook gemeld. Ga zo door.

We ate there yesterday with a 3 year old and 2 adults. Food was super good! Pasta for our child was also great! I had a Wienersnitzel with paprika sauce and it tasted great, as did my husband's rump steak. There were probably a lot of customers on Sunday and they waited a long hour, but it was worth the wait. The service was also good and the drinks were taken straight away. I also ordered a dessert and it looks delicious. The only thing that could perhaps be improved is when it takes a long time for the kitchen to let you know and even if you have a child with you that you will get food.

Great service, great food, something you rarely experience

We were very pleased to have found your fantastic inn on the way from Düsseldorf to Winterberg. A restaurant as you would wish. Very warm, natural welcome. Attentive, friendly and unobtrusive service. And then of course the best part: the FOOD! Just fantastic! Both the children's menus, the main courses and the dessert. We have “saved” you and will definitely come back!

Iedere keer als we in Olsberg zijn komen we hier graag eten. De eigenaresse en haar bediening zijn super vriendelijk en hebben aandacht voor de gasten. Het eten is heerlijk. Oerdegelijk en echt. Nadeel is dat je niet via de website kunt reserveren, je moet langsgaan of bellen. We komen graag weer terug

Waren gerade am 2. Weihnachtstag da, Die Karte war aufgrund der Weihnachtsfeiertage abgespeckt, was für mein empfinden auch absolut ok ist. Jedoch musste man, so wurde es uns jedenfalls mitgeteilt, das Menü auch als volles Menü nehmen und konnte nicht nur Hauptspeise oder Vor-Haupt/Haupt-Nachspeise nehmen, was in einem Gesamtpreis von 52€ schon sehr extrem war für Suppe, Fleischgericht und Törtchen. Auch die Beilagen waren nicht Tauschbar. Für Vegetarier gab es nur die auswahl von 1 Gericht. Nichts davon wurde bei Reservierung kommuniziert Jedoch auch um etwas positives zu sagen: Das essen war sehr lecker! (Außer der Part den ich nicht umbestellen konnte) 😅 Also wer genug Geld im Portmonee hat und generell alles mag der kommt dennoch auf seine Kosten :) ansonsten für Feiertage an denen es nur Menü gibt eher keine Empfehlung.

Im letzten Jahr zum 1. Mal das hervoragende Essen genossen und für dieses Jahr direkt wieder 2 x reserviert. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ausgezeichnete Küche mit kleiner übersichtlicher Speisekarte. Das beste Cordon Bleu, was ich je gegessen habe! Spätzle auch klasse. Viele Parkplätze hinter dem Restaurant.

Wir waren Sonntags Mittag zum Essen mit zwei Kindern vor Ort. Super netter Service, sehr kinderfreundlich und das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch im Sauerland gerne nochmal vorbei . Sehr zu empfehlen *****

Perfektes Essen! Wir hatten das scharfe Entchen und das kalbs-Cordonbleu. Beides inkl. Beilagen grandios! Wir kommen wieder wenn wir im sauerland sind.

Portionen sind leider echt klein geworden und der Preis um so höher. Eine Bedingung passt uns leider nie. Frech und guckt gerne mal ins Portmonee der Männer. Schade eigentlich. Essen und Chefin sind top!

Wir waren schon öfter in der Post essen und waren mit dem Essen immer sehr zufrieden. Egal ob Wild, Gans, Rumpsteak, Cordon bleu, Nudeln mit Fisch, Medaillons… Alles sehr empfehlenswert. Ein Kompliment an die Küche.

Super schickes Restaurant, alt und rustikal aber total gemütlich! Die Bedienungen sind einfach zwei wahrliche Frohnaturen und haben sich gut um uns gekümmert ☺️ das Essen war der Hammer und das Bier schmeckt auch 😏 absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Gemütliches etabliertes Gasthaus, Umsichtige und hilfsbereite Eigentümer.Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, heiß und sehr nett dekoriert an den Tisch gebracht. Sehr schmackhaft!!Hier bleibt kein Wunsch unerfüllt!! Sehr empfehlenswert, auch wenn es hier Personalmangel gibt.

Zunächst zur Bedienung: die Zufriedenheit ihrer Gäste liegt ihr sehr am Herzen, wir wurden fröhlich, mit Charme und schnell bedient. Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre! Nun zum Essen: sehr sehr gut, frisch und lecker zubereitet, einfach ein Genuss! Dieses Restaurant werden wir sicher noch oft besuchen.

Wir sind sehr nett Empfangen und an den Tisch geführt worden. Das Ambiente ist urig, gemütlich. Die Karte kam auch schnell sowie die bestellten Getränke. Das bestelle Essen war sehr, sehr lecker. Es hat allen gut geschmeckt und es war reichlich. Nachtisch gab es auch noch. Meine Frau bestellte nur einen Räuberlöffel und probierte mal bei allen. Mega…. Wir wollten Freitag gerne, wie schon häufiger in der Post Essen gehen. Wir nahmen draußen ein Informationsschild wahr, Samstag und Sonntag nur Reservierung. Es war Freitag, wir warteten, wurden nicht wahr genommen. Dann im aktiven Kontakt, nachdem die Chefin gefragt wurde, eine sehr unfreundliche Abfuhr vom Servicepersonal. Die Küche sei ausgelastet. Wir haben wirklich Verständnis, im Moment ist ein Schützenfest, sicherlich auch Personalmangel, wie überall. Aber wie die Kommunikation ablief, mit Verlaub, unterirdisch. Einfach stehen gelassen, ohne vorherige Begrüßung, keine Entschuldigung, keine Verabschiedung. So geht man mit Gästen nicht um. Dafür haben wir kein Verständnis, das ist auch leider mit Personalmangel und Stress nicht zu entschuldigen.

Sehr gutes Essen und guter Service. Gute Preise die das Essen aber wert ist. Immer wieder 👍👍👍
