Da ist noch Luft nach oben. Es handelt sich höchst wahrscheinlich um Conveniens Food. Wir können die Schnitzel mit Jägersauce nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen hier ist wirklich sehr gut. Die Zutaten sind regional. Die Einrichtung modern und sehr gemütlich. Der Service sehr freundlich, man geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Wir waren hier zu einer Hochzeit eingeladen, gerne kommen wir wieder.

Ein modernes Restaurant mit sehr viel Atmosphäre! Das Konzept ist bemerkenswert! Es gibt nicht nur eine Speisekarte sondern man hat sich viele Variationen zum Thema Essen einfallen lassen! Sonntags-Brunch, aktueller Mittagstisch, vegetarische Gerichte, aktuelle Versucherle-Karte, Mädelsabend Spezial und was nicht noch alles! Eine solch breit gefächerte Auswahl! Und die Gerichte sind alle sehr gut! Noch nie wurde ich enttäuscht Ich lasse mich gerne inspirieren und esse etwas womit ich vorher nicht gerechnet habe! Fast kann man von einem Gaumen-Tempel sprechen! Die Portionen sind ausreichend groß! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut aber nicht sehr gut! Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und nett!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt. Der Service war rundum ausgezeichnet – aufmerksam, freundlich und stets zuvorkommend. Das Essen war hervorragend und absolut empfehlenswert. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat überzeugt.

Heute 11.04.26 es fällt mir gerade ein wenig schwer dieses Restaurant zu bewerten. Beginnen wir mal mit den sehr positiven Ergebnissen. Ambiente , Style & Konzept wirklich sehr klasse 👍. Altenheim mit Gastronomie zu verbinden ist wirklich klasse. Die Räume sind großzügig und sehr schön Designed. Platz genug für Jung und Alt. Alles Barriere frei! Und die Crew war sehr freundlich. An diesem heutigen Tag war aber personell der Wurm drin. Unterbesetzt! Und das wirkte sich auf das Restaurant-Team aus. Und hier richte ich meine Worte direkt an das Management. Da ist noch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Bei 2 Kommunion Gesellschaften und noch das Restaurant mit 50% Auslastung. Und das mit nur 3 Servicekräfte. Leute das geht so nicht. Die Wartezeit war enorm lange. Ich war wirklich kurz davor in die Küche zu gehen um zu fragen ob ich helfen soll. Kommen wir zum heutigen Mittagessen: Der Salat war fantastisch! Wirklich sehr gut. Teiglatelle mit Lachs darf einfach nicht nach Fisch riechen 👃. Die Schweine Medaillons waren top 👍. Das Asiatische Pfannengericht ( Vegan) Leute Leute , überlasst das lieber mal dem echten Asiaten in der Küche. Ihr könnt das nicht !!! Nochmal ! Diese Bewertung geht ganz klar an die Manager des Hauses und dem Chefkoch. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch lasse ich mich sehr gerne positiv überraschen.

Sehr nettes Personal und gutes Essen

Waren zum zweiten Mal zum Bruch. Alles sehr lecker und von guter Qualität. Der letzte Punkt ist eine reine Preissache. Für den Preis könnte noch etwas mehr Auswahl sein.

Osterbrunch mit tollem Buffet voller leckerer Gerichte. Platten hübsch angerichtet. Alles lecker. Durchweg aufmerksames, professionelles und sehr freundliches Team, vom Empfang bis zum Abschied. (Küchen)Chef freundlich und lustig. Jederzeit gerne wieder und eine Empfehlung wert!

Hervorragendes Restaurant. Gerade die badischen Ochsenbäckle sind sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein Besuch ist in jedem Fall zu empfehlen.

Eigentlich ganz ok Bis ich dann anstatt Spätzle Pommes wollte 2,—€ Aufpreis für eine Umbestellung?? Nicht mein Ding- und schon gar nicht die Begründung dass der Wirt für die Umbestellung zusätzliches Personal benötigt??

Da das Restaurant an eine Seniorenresidenz angebunden ist, viel älteres Publikum, jedoch auch viele auswärtige Gäste. Gute, abwechslungsreiche Küche, aufmerksame Bedienung, auch konnte man beobachten, dass Kinder willkommen sind. Wieder gerne...

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Kurz zu meinem Essen: Flädlesuppe: wenig,nicht gut gewürzt und sehr wenig Flädle. SChweinemedailions in cognacsauce: wollte ANSTATT Krokette Spätzle haben +2€, Sauce hat man den Cognac nur gering/gar nicht rausgeschmeckt. Spätzle waren toll. Ambiete fand ich schön. Leider nur sehr schlecht ausgeschildert wenn man die TG und die Treppen nutz. PreisLeistung finde ich leider nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wir sind zufällig am Dienstag Abend zum Badische Tapas Abend hereingeraten und waren sehr begeistert. Das Essen war vorzüglich, die Bedienung war, obwohl sie "nur" Aushilfe war, äusserst aufmerksam und engagiert, und hundefreundlich sind sie ebenfalls. Einfach perfekt, wir wollen definitiv wieder kommen!

Service war sehr nett aber das Essen war nicht das beste um es nett auszudrücken. Für 26€ für ein Wiener Schnitzel bekommt man sehr wenig Schnitzel und die Pommes waren sehr trocken dieses Restaurant lohnt sich nur wenn man für die Mittagspause lange Zeit hat und nicht qualitiv gutes Essen essen möchte. Das Fleisch ist gar nicht zu empfehlen da es sehr trocken und so also nicht zu empfehlen.

Alles super 👍🏻 Essen und Service sind top, jederzeit gerne wieder. Auch für Vegetarier super geeignet. Der Salat ist ein Traum 💚

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort. Tolles Ambiente. Durch die einzelne Trennwände ist es sehr gemütlich und auch nicht so laut, sodass man sich toll unterhalten kann. Der Service top und das Essen auch. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren 19 Personen. Die Getränke (kein Alkohol) gingen über 20Minuten. Das Essen ging fast 1h. Der erste Tisch hatte schon Essen, bis der zweite Tisch nach ca 10 Minuten erst das Essen bekommen hat. Eine kl. Portion Hähnchengeschnetzeltes mit Spätzle (siehe Bild), wirklich eine Mini Portion 18,40€. In meinen Augen völlig überteuert!! Ein Salat gehört auch noch dazu, der dann kam als wir fast fertig waren. Zuvor hatte ich freundlich danach gefragt und bekam nur eine pampige Antwort: „Wenn ich 3 Hände hätte wäre ich im Zirkus“. Anstatt sich einfach zu entschuldigen, wir sind unterbesetzt oder ich schau sofort nach. Als sowas unfreundliches und unprofessionelles habe ich Lage nicht mehr erlebt. Zum anderen Tisch ist der Kellner wenigstens hingegangen und hat gesagt, die Küche hat den Salat vergessen. Unseren Tisch hat er einfach komplett ignoriert. Genauso wie bei der Frage ob noch jemand ein Dessert möchte, hat er nur an einem Tisch gefragt und auch nur dort die Dessertkarten abgegeben. Der andere Tisch wurde wieder komplett ignoriert! Nie wieder würde ich in dieses Restaurant gehen mit so einem schlechten Service!

Sehr schönes gemütliches,modern eingerichtetes Café oder Bistro. Wir haben dort gefrühstückt. Hatten das Watt Frühstück. Gute Auswahl an verschiedensten frühstücken. Man kann auch warme Speisen haben über den Tag. In unserem Fall große Portion da lass ich mir den Preis gefallen. Fisch in dem Fall lachs ist nicht billig und er hatte eine gute Qualität. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Essen war ok, allerdings fehlten reichlich Gewürze.

Wir gehen hier öfters essen und werden immer freundlich empfangen und lecker bewirtet. Egal ob Alt, Jung, aufgeweckte Kinder oder Hunde - alle sind gleichermaßen willkommen im Franz. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Bei dem Essen ist für jeden etwas dabei. Netter Service. Die hausgemachte Marmelade, empfehle ich sehr da sie sehr lecker ist.

The food was okay, nothing special. The side salad was quite good. The service seemed a bit irritated and rude to us. Perhaps it was because it was too busy and the two servers were stressed. The currant nectar we were served had been out of date since March. We had to wait a good 45 minutes for the food, with the explanation that the Cordon Bleu unfortunately always takes a little longer. On the plus side, there's Family Day on Saturdays, where one children's meal is free for each adult main course.

We attended the kitchen party last week. First, the positives: The food was delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the kitchen was also good – until one server came out of the kitchen at the end, grumbling loudly about how anyone could stand it – and then the music could no longer be heard. The service was very poor! At the beginning, it was not mentioned that they also had non-alcoholic sparkling wine. This also ran out quickly; we were told in passing that there weren't enough for two glasses. They also didn't ask what else we wanted until we made ourselves known several times. We also had to ask several times for the drinks menu. One of our table ordered a drink and the server disappeared, leaving the others high and dry. It continued like this the whole evening. The displeasure (overwhelm? reluctance?) of the service staff was clearly noticeable and, unfortunately, audible again and again, which also repeatedly dampened our spirits (a comment like "We've almost made it" while we were still seated). It was also our first kitchen party, and there was no information about the evening's schedule, so we had to follow the other guests' lead. We didn't really feel like welcome guests, which I felt especially sorry for our birthday girl!

Superbly presented breakfast with high-quality ingredients. And very tasty. Simply top-notch, highly recommended. You definitely have to try it. We were there on Saturday and were impressed, including by the friendly staff. This is how gatrinomie works, with a great concept.

We had dinner with colleagues and were very pleased. The food was very tasty and the portions were very large. The price was average, the staff was friendly, and it was suitable for visiting with both family and friends.

The service is very attentive and fast. The ambiance is modern and spacious. Unfortunately, the portion size doesn't always match the price. In my case, a salmon steak for around €25, which weighed a maximum of 100-150g, with five croquettes and a bit of sauce, that was it... Other portions at the table (schnitzel, salad plates, pasta dishes) were sufficiently large. Therefore, in terms of value for money, I can't fully recommend the restaurant.

It was very good and very tasty

On our way back to Saarland from the State Garden Show in Freudenstadt/Baiersbronn, we (the club) had dinner at Restaurant Franz in Achern. We were absolutely thrilled with the excellent food and the fantastic service. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

I can't say much about the food. I had a piece of cake 🍰 and ☕. The cake was delicious. The place is quite large with plenty of space. You can also go there with groups. The terrace was also open.

Unfortunately, the rolls were very small, and you had to pay extra for many things. Unfortunately, there was only one hot drink included, and you usually drink at least two cups of coffee at breakfast. But I can recommend it.

We went to the Spanish evening. Everything was delicious and of top quality. We spent 3.5 hours enjoying a very relaxed evening with great food and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent! Official praise goes to the friendly chef! He's really good and knows what he's doing. Finally, a restaurant that still knows what they're doing. Today was our first time at Restaurant Franz and we just wanted to try it out, as one of us is wheelchair-bound and we'd been recommended that the restaurant would be suitable. I'll be brief about it: it's very suitable. But that's not all. The restaurant itself has a very open and friendly atmosphere; it seems modern and stylish to me. We had breakfast, and I can say it was truly delicious. Everything was very filling, and we couldn't finish it all. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Finally, the staff. We had a few questions about parking at the beginning and were immediately greeted in a very friendly and courteous manner. Everything was explained, and we were able to find our way around right away. And our first impression was confirmed by the following: Very courteous and always friendly. All our requests were met, and I can say that we will be back.

We visited this restaurant after a hike in Sasbachwalden while waiting for our train home. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food was delicious, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality of service and setting. Toilets are available for customers.

We ate here while passing through. Hot food is served all day – a plus! The small-meal menu is extensive. Our order arrived promptly, the food was piping hot, and tasted delicious. The dessert, beautifully decorated, was also delicious. The ambiance is modern, quiet, and clean, and there's even a terrace. Highly recommended.

A restaurant "attached" to an "assisted living facility." The entrance door is rather inconspicuous and difficult to reach, and I would describe the space as "practical." Lunch service is quick and effective, although on my first visit in May 2025, the salad I ordered was forgotten. The food is efficient and good, served in a large kitchen, and they also serve coffee and cake. However, I find the drinks (e.g., spritzer) in the 0.2-liter bottles too expensive, although they are good quality. I "landed" at €25 for a vegetarian lunch, a drink, cake, and espresso, including a tip. I'll try out the pool table and foosball table soon—I think they're rarely used anyway...

We always love coming here. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick, and the food is excellent, honest, and free of artificial flavors and enhancers, always beautifully presented. The salads are simply delicious. The interior is bright, welcoming, and comfortable, with plenty of space. You simply feel at home here and are sure to leave feeling full and satisfied.

Ich war hier mit einer Frauengruppe zum Abendessen und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die ausgewählten Speisen haben uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service war aufmerksam, fachkundig und sehr freundlich. Einziger Negativpunkt: Es fehlt ein Hinweisschild an der Hauptstraße, denn das Restaurant liegt etwas zurückgesetzt und war schwer zu finden (3 verschiedene Navis führten uns in die Irre)

Great food, great atmosphere. The combination of young and old in the restaurant also makes it a great meeting place for several generations.

There were four of us, two of whom found their food good, two of whom weren't so enthusiastic, but that's certainly a matter of taste. For example, the ox cheeks were cured and the sauce was sweet and sour, which we didn't know and expected differently. The cordon bleu was filled with Camembert + cranberries, but that's what was on the menu and that's how we ordered it. So it would be complaining at a high level! The ambience is wonderful and the staff is totally on their toes. So I would still recommend it and say: keep your eyes open when choosing your food. Maybe choose the standard dishes rather than unusual ones, because they were very good.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with 20 people. The service was top. Despite 20 people, everyone was served their chosen breakfast quickly. Very nice atmosphere. Nice staff

Quiet atmosphere with nice furnishings

Good food and lots of space, you can also eat here with a wheelchair and stroller.

First of all, the positive: The restaurant is large, the furnishings are very modern and bright and the ambience is good. For the summer season there are terraces with seating both in front of the house and at the back. I think the concept is really good and remarkable: inclusion is very important here and the “Franz” integrates well into the retirement home. You also see a lot of seniors at dinner; sometimes also together with nursing staff. The service staff was nice and accommodating; However, a bit overwhelmed due to the number of guests. Now the but: You can clearly tell from the food that the focus here is very much on seniors. The portions are very small and there is hardly any seasoning. Salt, flavors, sweetness and spiciness are missing. We treated ourselves to a Lillet Wild Berry beforehand. It was tasty; But we were missing some decoration. No mint, just a few frozen raspberries. For starters we had lamb's lettuce with bacon and crackers and a mixed salad. The potato mustard dressing on the lamb's lettuce was homemade, the salad was very good and extensively decorated and really very tasty. Things were completely different with the mixed salad: the dressing was far too sweet and tasted like a convenience product. The main course was the schnitzel with fries and sauce. There was no salt on the fries, the schnitzel was fried; therefore a bit dry and hardly seasoned. The sauce was a disaster and either from Maggi or Knorr. Finally, a small dessert: a “mini-panacotta” and a “mini-crème brûlée”. We actually like small desserts. But then there should be something to it. With the crème brûlée again zero decoration; not a berry or anything else and so small that it was eaten with exactly 3 teaspoons (see also the picture in relation to the size of the teaspoon). And that's almost cheeky for 4 euros. Since the quality and price-performance ratio of the drinks and food in the restaurant are significantly more important than the ambience and feel-good factor, we can unfortunately only award 3 stars.

We were at Restaurant Franz for the first time for Sunday brunch on March 2nd, 2025, and it definitely won't be the last time. All the dishes were very good, some like the carpaccio, the salmon or the trout fillet were great. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. The price-performance ratio is top.

Delicious breakfast, cozy atmosphere. The only criticism was that the coffee came 15 minutes before the breakfast plate, so it was cold.

We went for brunch. Everything was delicious, there was a wide selection, and everything was more than adequate. The staff was consistently very friendly. The only negative point is the sparkling wine at the beginning. Instead of Spanish sparkling wine, perhaps you should consider switching to a secco from a local wine cooperative. But otherwise, we'd be happy to go back.

🌷 Hey, yesterday afternoon we were at Franz's... 🌷 ...the Franz is located in Achern in the Carré at the glassworks. The cooking there is good, traditional and creative. From breakfast to lunch, there are also cakes and snacks (the restaurant usually closes at 8:30 p.m., but of course it stays open later for events) 😋. Directly next door is the modern care center for seniors and young adults 🙏

Dishes are usually not well seasoned.

Everything is great. Were there for a family celebration and were extremely satisfied. Everyone was very nice and attentive.

The food was very tasty and the service was extremely accommodating. We also liked the atmosphere, even if it seemed a bit sterile. We were particularly pleasantly surprised that we received such a warm welcome on New Year's Day, shortly before the kitchen closed. We are happy to recommend this restaurant.
