Restaurant Feriendorf Ravensburger Spieleland in Meckenbeuren

We went to this “restaurant” for dinner with our grandchildren on September 4th, 2024. Unfortunately the price performance ratio was very poor. 22 euros for poor quality spare ribs that were lukewarm and cold fries are too much. The children's menu was also lukewarm. The food was replaced after a complaint and lengthy internal consultation with the service staff, and the quality was still consistent. In general the atmosphere was canteen-like. 90 € for Convinions Köttbullar with boiled potatoes, spare ribs with fries, spaetzle with sauce, 4 chicken nuggets with fries, 2 small salads and drinks 1 0.33l beer, 1 0.25l wine spritzer, 2 multivitamin juices nuggets weren't worth it to us. Ravensburger Spieleland should make adjustments here.

I can't understand all the negative reactions, we ate really well there with 2 children! For a fair price you get a huge casserole dish full of food that you can put together yourself. This meant we had schnitzel, nuggets, penne, fries, spaetzle and 2 different sauces in separate bowls. The food wasn't greasy or of poor quality. Each child was also allowed to choose a Ravensburger book or puzzle, simply brilliant! Can fully recommend the restaurant.

Below average canteen food at absolutely outrageous prices. The pizza, as seen in another review, is a bad joke and a disgrace for 9.80 euros. Since you primarily go to this “restaurant” to eat, my main rating is purely for the quality and price of the food.

Dinner, price/performance doesn't fit at all. Canteen level and high prices. Better to have a burger in the park or eat out.

Restaurant in the holiday village with a good breakfast selection and hardly any queuing. In the evening we experienced both; once chaotic queuing with a lot of people in the heat and once orderly and calm with just a few people outside in light rain. Pizza covered in cheese and therefore not recommended. Otherwise the food is generally fast food and greasy. Unfortunately, penne was scooped out dripping wet. Schnitzel OK.

Food is very tasty and the park is very tidy

Lunch was absolutely recommended. As you can see in the photo, we were able to completely assemble the pan at lunchtime with very friendly service. That's why we created a best-of-Ravensburger and were not disappointed. Schnitzel, Kottbullar, chicken nuggets, fish crispy on a bed of seasonal vegetables accompanied by fries (or pasta or potatoes). As a highlight, even (!) apple cakes were included and these were served separately (!!) with the vanilla sauce. Now for the actual taste: The meat structure of the Kottbullar was visible and the fillet of the fish was tasty - so no fried puree! The fries were crispy and no one complained about the apple fritters. At the checkout, people carefully asked about the holiday guest bonus and each participating child received a gift (puzzle up to 4 years old or mini book). Tip 1: Given the lavish quantity and modest gift, I recommend only taking a robber plate for small children. Tip 2: Bring your own ketchup mayo, this reduces waste and protects the environment... We were able to enjoy the food on the terrace, I recommend the places in the shade. All in all, this restaurant provided all the ingredients for a relaxing lunch break and we are happy with the experience! The pan price is staggered according to the number of people, I don't remember the price exactly, but it has been increased for the new 2024/25 season and is approximately as follows: - 1P: 15 - 2P: 26 From a certain number onwards, a flat rate increase of 11/person is added.

The park closes at 5, but the restaurant opens at 6. In that one hour there's nothing to eat. Both the kids and I got impatient. Otherwise the staff are surprisingly nice, compared to the overworked, demotivated rest of the park. The food is standard everything-bathed-in-oil, so pretty poor.

The food is a disappointment, especially for overnight guests. Better to have breakfast and dinner outside.

Canteens eat at a higher price. There is nothing going on here outside of the holidays. And one or two foods can sit in the warm counter for too long. What I found outrageous was the price for a 0.5 liter bottle of water. €3.70 is definitely too much. For me, a conceptless pricing. Please bring your own drink. You don't have to support that.

Waiting in line for a long time to get food of lousy quality that doesn't correspond to the description. Menu: Köttbular with cream sauce and a side dish of cranberries, in my case penne. Reality: Köttbular with fatty penne, no sauce or cranberries. Only when we asked was there at least some gravy added.

Food was tasty, prices were okay.

Went there after visiting the park and wanted to have dinner here with our children at the end of the day. We were looking forward to the family pan advertised on the board on the way from the park to the holiday village as there would have been something for everyone and this was the only offer that was still reasonably priced. Went to the restaurant, picked a table and then went to the food distribution. Here we were welcomed by a very nice young lady and our wish for the family pan was immediately implemented by the young lady. As soon as the young lady had put the first few ladles of the selected dishes into the pan, a very unfriendly gentleman came out of the kitchen and immediately stopped assembling the family pan. Reason the pan would only be available for lunch and not for dinner. When the very unfriendly gentleman asked where this was on the board, he didn't go into it any further and instead instructed the puzzled service person to take away the already partially filled pan. We should order extra for each individual because that's the only way dinner is served. The prices of the individual dishes and the side dishes that have to be ordered separately are definitely too high for a canteen meal, which is why we decided not to generate any sales here. We will certainly not visit the restaurant again.

The food was partly very good and partly okay. Employees were very friendly. Prices reasonable.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right. While the price for a park may be OK, the quality was unfortunately unsatisfactory. Dinner was a disaster, breakfast was OK but nothing special or justified for the price.

Auswahl an Gerichten zum Abendessen sehr klein und dann noch teilweise nicht verfügbar. Die Auswahl was wir Tagsüber im Park in der Gastronomie vorfanden war besser. Pommes und Nudeln waren kalt. Preis für Abendessen teuer. Frühstück ist in Ordnung, Standard Auswahl. Preis für Frühstück ist in Ordnung

Leider ist der Preis nicht der Qualität entsprechend. Hatten Schnitzel, Köttbular und Nudeln. Fast 50€! Und ein Genuss war es nicht.

Das Abendessen war leider nicht zu empfehlen. Hier sollte man doch auswärts essen. Ein Pizzastück für 6,80€, ist schon mehr wie unverschämt. Gesundes Essen außer Salat wird nicht angeboten. Alles in Allem zu teuer / schlecht. Den 2ten Stern gibt es nur weil das Personal sehr freundlich ist. Fahr einfach 2 Kilometer weiter für gutes Essen und gleichen Preis. Haben für 2 Hauptgerichte und 2 Kids Menüs 80€ ausgegeben.

Mittagessen war leider nicht mehr sehr heiß,aber man konnte es noch Essen. Geschmacklich war gut , Portionen war ausreichend.

Die Ferienhäuser sind supersüß, perfekt für Familien gemacht, ein schöner See und gleich beim Restaurant ein spielplatz. Der Clown kam noch nen Sprung am Abend vorbei, schon sehr nett alles. Den Abzug gibts fürs Restaurant. Das Frühstück war zwar wirklich super, tolles Buffet, leckerer Kaffee, hat echt gepasst aber das Abendessen und die Preise dort sind ein Witz. Nur ungesundes TK-Essen und viel zu teuer. Wir sind ausserhalb essen gegangen, und damit waren wir nicht alleine. Also am besten schon vorher in der Umgebung fürs Abendessen einen Tisch reservieren. Restaurant ist hier der falsche Begriff. Fast-Food würde es besser treffen. Getränke gibt es nur in der PET-Flasche?! Und noch schade: es gibt keinen Kühlschrank im Ferienhaus, also besser ne Kühlbox einpacken, weil auch im Spieleland sind Essen und Getränke sehr teuer. Aber alles in allem war es sehr schön dort!

This time we stayed at Feriendorf house. Although the house was nice, it was quite small. But had air-conditioning, so was good... Breakfast was a big hustle, and quite chaotic... Quality was also ok. Lunch and dinner were all repeats but here food was really tasty and fresh. All the staff was friendly and kind. There are lots of toilets available throughout the park and all are very clean and free. The books and games could be borrowed; but kids were too tired for that!! Overall it was a nice experience staying overnight. Kids enjoyed even more!!

Alles sehr schnell und gut Zubereitet, ein wenig mehr auswahl für Allergiker ( Gluten) und etwas Gesünder wäre schön.

Ich verstehe die schlechten Bewertungen nicht!!!! Wir sind seit einer Woche nun im Feriendorf und nicht das erste Mal hier! Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, für jeden was dabei und im Preis inbegriffen. Abendessen kostet extra. Egal, ob Nuggets, Spätzle oder Pommes. 4,20 für eine große Kinderportion abzüglich 10 Prozent wegen der Gästekarte, da kann man nicht meckern. Es schmeckt immer und die Portionen für die Kinder sind so groß, dass fast immer was übrig bleibt. Auch für mich ist leckerer Salat dabei. Das Personal ist IMMER super nett, hilfsbereit und einfach klasse! Von solchen Mitarbeitern träumen andere Betriebe und hier gibt es sie direkt ausschließlich! Wir kommen gern immer wieder!!!!!!!!

Die schlechten Rezensionen haben uns zunächst abgeschreckt. Letztlich war es aber überhaupt nicht so schlecht wie man meinen könnte. Personal war freundlich und Essen war ebenfalls ok, wenn man berücksichtigt, dass es sich um ein Self Service Restaurant handelt.

Nichts Gesundes auf dem menu fuer das abendessen und der Rest von echt schlechter Qualitaet und teuer dazu. Fruhstuck ist in Ordnung

Naja. E gibt keine kleinen Pizzen. Diese werden dort anders genannt. Und selbst das was man dort bekommt ist auch keine Pizza. Ich hatte piccata milanese für 13 euro fand ich einen Scherz. Ein Stück schnitzel. Handflächen groß. Werden dort kein weiteres Mal essen... Aber nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Da kann ich nicht Klagen...

Schade, wir wollten den Besuch des Parks mit einem leicht vorgezogenen Abendessen beenden. Nur.... Ab 15:30 gab es nix mehr.... Corona hin oder her, aber wenn man den Park öffnet und eh nur bis max. 17:00 die Fahrgeschäfte offen haben, dann wäre es nett, den Familien noch die Möglichkeit zu geben, was zu essen. Asweichen auf andere Restaurants ist wegen des "athmenden Öffnungssystem" auch nicht so einfach, denn man weiss nicht ob und welche anderen Restaurants offen haben.

Wir haben im Forscherzelt übernachtet. Frühstück und Abendessen gab es dann hier. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes aber OK. Das Abendessen ist, bis auf die Pizza, nicht zu empfehlen. Das Fleisch vom Grillteller hat den Grill aus der Ferne gesehen, es war nur gekocht(!) und kam in einer Fettsoße daher. Preis-Leistung = schlecht Auch der Tisch für die Geschirrrückgabe wird nicht leergeräumt, so dass 1h nachdem Ende des Frühstücks, sich das Dreckgeschirr überall türmte.

Leider nicht zum empfehlen. Überteuert, unmotiviertes, unfreundliches Personal. Essen überragt nicht, kaum Auswahl, nur lauwarm. Man könnte sich mehr Mühe geben.
