A very attractive, chic restaurant with excellent cuisine. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. The menu has something to offer for everyone, even if it tends to be Greek. Since the restaurant is always busy, I would always reserve a table. In summer there is a small outdoor area available, as well as a tent, which is now well heated in winter. There are sufficient parking spaces available.

We can't share the positive reviews!!The boss or owner divides his guests into two classes...completely unprofessional...no owner sits down at one of his guests' tables and drinks his wine...while other guests are completely ignored be treated and wait 30 minutes for the service..Click shop for the friends and acquaintances would like to reach out. Food below average...portions small...price/performance ratio doesn't fit... Ambiance is quite nice but at least the curtains should be adjusted in detail... Great quality of food, friendly service, nice atmosphere

We were there as a group of 6 people and unfortunately our order was completely forgotten. No waiter noticed that we were waiting so long. It wasn't until we asked after about half an hour that the error was noticed. This of course depresses the mood, especially since there was a nice apology but no compensation for the long waiting time. When the food came it was delicious. What is definitely missing is a larger vegetarian offering. Four or five dishes should now be standard, and ideally at least one or two vegan dishes.

Waited a very long time for drinks and appetizers, probably forgotten. The food was good, the ambience was quite nice, it was packed, so there was a lot of background noise.

As always, the starter and main course were very tasty. Service staff was friendly and very attentive. We keep coming back.

I have visited many restaurants in the world, but this restaurant is definitely in the top 3. I don't know of a better restaurant in the area than this one. Super fresh, delicious food with a great price/performance ratio. The service and the boss are super friendly, you are greeted and said goodbye with a handshake. Today there were six of us and my food wasn't there at the same time. In return, I received a free salad in the meantime without asking for it. I've never experienced that anywhere before. Simply world class! Keep it up! 💪🏼

Sat in the winter garden, cold legs despite the heater and heater. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good because there was only one vegetable with the steak. No fries or potatoes... Unfortunately not recommended for the price.

Since the Elià opened, we have come here again and again, sometimes as a couple, sometimes with family/friends/acquaintances. We and everyone else always enjoyed it very much. The ambience is unique, the food and service are top. Another plus is the large parking lot right in front of the door. Of course we would love to come back 🤩

Update 10/30/24 The table reserved for 4 people was in the pleasantly heated winter garden. The friendly service and the excellent food are worth a special mention. TOP!! It's fun to eat very tasty food here at reasonable prices. Fits!! 👍 Today we were guests for the first time in the restaurant "Elia" in the Königskarree in Mönchengladbach. There are numerous free parking spaces available. Due to the warm weather, we reserved a table on the large two-part terrace. Two-part means: One part is covered like a winter garden, the other part is open. Friendly and prompt waiters quickly brought us drinks and took our food order. Both the starters and then the main courses came promptly. The extremely large portions were appetizingly prepared and very tasty. The prices are rather cheap. A clear recommendation from us!

Really great restaurant. I have to say, we didn't sit in the winter garden, so I can't contribute to that at this point. The atmosphere inside is really great. The service is very friendly and attentive. You don't stay out and dry for long and are asked several times if everything is okay. Now to the most important thing... the food is very good, there's nothing wrong with it. We will definitely stop by again.

It was my first time in this cafe and my impression is mixed. The interior of the cafe is pretty, and the Christmas decorations are really nice. The dessert I ordered was delicious, but the dishes it was served in were cracked. This is unacceptable in a cafe. I hope no one else gets served dessert on this plate.

We were here with a larger group to celebrate a birthday. The table was reserved and was located between a loud air conditioning unit and a very warm patio heater outside. The first drinks came quickly, but when we ordered the wine (bottle), the wine we wanted was no longer there. Three of us ordered gyros gratinated. At first everything was fine, but we soon noticed that the gyro meat was obviously poultry meat. Since this was not noted anywhere on the menu, we were very surprised, especially since the overall consistency of the meat was not appealing. When asked, one of the waiters explained that that was just the way it was. At the end we were given a very large dessert plate and the obligatory ouzo.

We had our little Christmas party there, the atmosphere was very nice and not too loud. Everything is very harmoniously furnished. The food is excellent, very fresh and everything is very tasty. Not a typical Greek! What I find very pleasant, everything is of very good quality. The staff is very friendly and always has a relaxed attitude and everything happens very quickly. You feel very comfortable there.

A gem in gastronomy in all areas!! 100% recommended!!

The restaurant's decor is great, just like its predecessor, where there was also "dark dinner", so everything was in black. The staff is very nice and on the ball. Starter Tzaziki with bread and then Bifteki Special with Metaxa sauce. Unfortunately the tzatziki was "off", i.e. sour...but I didn't have to pay, nice! The main course came within 10 minutes in the middle of the starter, nothing against fast service, but I still wanted to eat fast food. Recommendation; First just order the starter, then the main course. Unfortunately the bifteki was extremely dry and hard, I looked for the feta cheese and only found a hint in the middle, the sauce was delicious but had nothing to do with Metaxa. At €8.50 per 0.2 glass, the Rioja was totally overpriced for its quality, the first glass was from the day before, the second was better. All in all a culinary disappointment. Too bad

We visited this restaurant full of expectations, but unfortunately I was disappointed with the food, the sole was very tasteless as were the side dishes. The starter was brought almost at the same time as the main course and around 11 p.m., despite a few guests in the shop, tables were moved, chairs were pushed and the dishes were re-set for the next day, a very uncomfortable atmosphere and very rude to the guests. Unfortunately it wasn't my restaurant

A wonderful evening at Elia! The owner welcomed us warmly and made the evening special. The entire team is incredibly friendly and professional, which rounded off the experience perfectly. In addition to excellent wine, we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Greek hospitality. The ambience is a dream and invites you to come back again and again. We always enjoy visiting the Lukulus restaurant in Krefeld, and it's nice to know that the owner comes from the same family. We're looking forward to trying our way through the Mediterranean menu. Absolute recommendation!

We were here for the first time (on the recommendation of Elias' brother ;)) and are super grateful for it. He is simply a great host and you can see that he has found his calling in gastronomy. I know him from the old days and he is still as friendly and welcoming as he was back then. (Save this!) The restaurant is really tastefully and stylishly decorated, but not too stuffy. The menu offers - even for picky people like me (#Die81Unbreaded 😜) - all options for culinary delights :) The staff is also excellent and friendly. Attentive service and always a smile. We thank you all for this wonderful evening in this beautiful atmosphere. You almost miss the Mediterranean harbor for a walk after a delicious meal 😄 Because it really has a holiday flair. Service declined in the end. We sat in the winter garden, so there was a slight deduction in the ambience rating.

It should be a relaxed, nice evening. Conclusion: ambience great; eat well; Service was stupid. Friendly, yes, but it's simple things that make an evening a great memory or just something that went too stupid. It starts with little things, like passing on information to guests before they make their selection, for example if dishes are no longer available. And if guests order starters, clarify with the kitchen when the main course will be served. Serving the main course even though the starter is still being eaten!? And “putting it back in the kitchen” is not a solution. The food will definitely not be prepared again. It would also be an idea to ask guests every now and then whether everything is OK or if there is anything else they would like. Or after dinner? Coffee or something for the “empty” glasses. Disappointing, but the difference between going really well and going stupid. Nope, we've experienced it differently, including in Elia. But hoping that the service pendulum swings to the good side, we won't be taking that risk any time soon

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at and I've been to many around the world. Everything is right, even special requests are implemented without the staff losing their composure and friendliness.

We have been guests at this restaurant for a long time! It has become our local Greek restaurant! Food top class, staff friendly and attentive.. every dish on the menu is worth an experience, the zucchini fritters and the lamb chops are particularly worth mentioning! Price performance for all the conditions, food, service and ambience unbeatable!

I had a very tasty dinner with you. After a tiring and hot day I got a nice spot on the terrace. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted good and was rich. In terms of price, my Bifteki was quite good. I felt comfortable and would like to thank the entire team. I can recommend the Lokslität and will come back. Still have to try other dishes.

Unfortunately, our reservation made the evening before was not successful. Unfortunately, when the weather was good, we had to be served inside instead of outside. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately apparently understaffed, which is why it sometimes took a while to be noticed. The food was really tasty and the portions were completely sufficient. Overall 4 out of 5 stars, it wasn't a mistake to have spent the evening there.

As so often, we were guests in the restaurant on Sunday, July 7th, 2024. I had reserved outside for 3 people. The manager of the house welcomed us and led us inside without responding to my objection that I had reserved a table outside. Inside, the right side of the room was blocked off by a partition for a larger group. We have always been satisfied and happy here. This visit turned out to be a complete disaster. As soon as the drinks arrived, the company's meal was over and the party began. From one moment to the next we were sitting in a discotheque with very bad sound. In addition, the “normal” music, which usually comes from the ceiling speakers, plays quietly. Conversations were hardly possible anymore. No one from the service department cared about empty drink glasses. The place seemed way overloaded with company. The food came after 75 minutes, as all the other tables were reserved + the company in the next room. When the food came, I spoke to someone from the service and explained that I didn't want to eat in a discotheque. After a few minutes the music was turned down. However, it is still far from an atmosphere for a cozy evening with good food. With each song it slowly got louder again. Finishing the meal quickly and escaping from this atmosphere was the only option. Other guests complained and were given free tables outside before the meal. Well over 100 euros for a thoroughly messed up evening, with some anger over the obviously poor planning by the restaurant's management. This will definitely be the last visit to the restaurant for a very long time.

Last night we were at Elia, where we always liked to go. But lately it hasn't been that great anymore, unfortunately. Yesterday we arrived and ordered our drinks. After 25 minutes and a request, they finally showed up. Starter came after about 45 minutes. No attention was paid to whether our drinks were empty, we had to wait forever for the waiter and then the drinks came wrong. The main course only came after 1.5 hours and only upon request. My skewer with 3 different types of meat was fried to death and the beef steak was completely cooked. I also complained about this and a new piece was brought to me, this time in English and so late that I already had everything else on. Conclusion...super delicious home-baked bread My husband's salad was great Everything else was a habit this time. A pity We're not going there anymore... By the way, my mother and her friend felt the same way a few days ago There were 6 people who came after us. They were completely finished with their food before our food even came.

We were at the Elia restaurant with 9 people for my son's bachelor party. Everyone was very happy with their food. I had a lamb shank on mashed potatoes with market vegetables. The “market vegetables” were typical Mediterranean vegetables. The knuckle (photo) itself was tender, so much so that you could have shaken it off the bone and not over-seasoned. The service was attentive and friendly. We had our table in the well-heated winter garden (28-30 degrees were indicated). So I can give 5 stars to the restaurant Elia with a clear conscience. By the way: The ouzo, on the house, was served stylishly on ice despite a greeting from the kitchen after the bill was paid. 👍

The lamb chops were amazing!!! Like made by mom/grandma. The ambience was nice; Anyone who likes pomp will feel comfortable. The service was very kind and accommodating, especially to small children. The sanitary area is clean, but cannot keep up with the wow effect of the main rooms. The owner could invest in it. We will eat there again. Thank you!!

The loft-like restaurant with plenty of space inside and outside is very easy to reach and there is sufficient parking space. We were guests as a group and the ambience and service overall suited it well. The cuisine is more European-Mediterranean with a Greek influence and the menu offers something for everyone. The dishes were very attractively prepared. Overall tasty. Although not everything was perfectly prepared, there was no real cause for criticism either. Suitable and very suitable for group meetings. We were satisfied with the evening.

Nice ambience. Friendly staff but service wasn't good. Maybe you have to bring your own drinks because unfortunately no one is showing up anymore. As we observed, only regular guests are served. Food was okay, drinks weren't really cold.

It was my first time there and it tasted good. Had a steak. Of course you can't compare it to a steakhouse, but it has a lot. Tasted good. The starter plate was also delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. I can only recommend.

It is a nice looking place, the dishes are big and very limited types of dishes, you dont have variety .But i got bothered by the spiders home, the dusts, when you move in the chair, it is a catastrophy dust flows, and the table cover are black, you have a sensation that they have never been washed.. and the bad smell. When you first enter the place you can smell like spoiled food. But if you dont have problem with that, it is a nice restaurant and the workers are very nice and always laughing.

Went there with a group, the first impression was the holey tablecloth (looked as if someone had tried to mend it) The fact that not all dishes were available speaks more about the sustainability of the restaurant; it would perhaps be good if the staff had known this when taking the order. The dishes we ate tasted very good. However, several false dishes were brought first. Were taken back by the staff, but someone else came and brought the same dishes again first. Then the real dishes came, but the first ones in our group were almost finished with their food. Vegan alternatives are advertised, but the difference between vegetarian and vegan is apparently not known. It then became a plate of various vegetable side dishes because there was nothing else. Suggestion for improvement for the decoration: do not use transparent flower vases because the water obviously does not stay clean for long. And place additional sets (washable) at the places so that food leftovers from previous visitors do not collect in the tablecloth.

Upscale Greek, grilled octopus is a lonely aüitze

More than a decent restaurant that mainly serves Greek cuisine. You can usually easily find a nearby parking space. The ambience is very pleasant, despite the location in a former factory site. The service is attentive. The advice is precise. The two of us had an appetizer plate. A ride through the country's typical specialties and hardly manageable for one person alone, but delicious. The lamb chops and veal liver served afterwards were exquisite and not exactly children's portions. So you should be hungry. We will end up there again soon. If possible, if you can sit outside.

From the outside you don't recognize the upscale clientele. The service was top, very friendly. We ate there spontaneously and without a reservation with 6 people. The food was completely priced and more than generous. Only the porcelain showed heavy signs of wear, broken plates, broken at the edge and splintered. These should be renewed. Went there for lunch two weeks ago with 17 people. Due to its good location (Königskarree), the restaurant offers plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was good. We enjoyed the food (Greek) very much and was actually generous. However, this is also reflected in the price, which we found to be okay.

Even as a vegetarian, I found what I was looking for and it was actually really tasty! There were 3 really good vegetarian starters, sheep's cheese, eggplant and especially the zucchini pancakes, absolute recommendation for vegetarians who are surrounded by carnivores!

We were there on the second day of Christmas with 9 people, everyone was more than satisfied with the food, staff and ambience. Wir hatten hier eine klasse Weihnachtsfeier. Das Essen war super, das gesamte Personal war klasse und es das Ambiente war total gemütlich. Es wurde von allen positiv wahrgenommen und war im Anschluss noch Thema weil es klasse war. Wer sich griechisches essen wünscht wird hier auf jedenfall fündig und fröhlich und alle anderen auch :D danke sehr für einen großartigen Abend.

Für uns ein sehr schönes und empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Preisleistung stimmt, Essen mundet uns immer. Der Service ist hervorragend, das Team ist gut abgestimmt und ein Genuß zu sehen, wie gut ausgebildetes Personal den Gästen doch tun kann. Es sind in Lokal nähe ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Einziges kleines Manko ist die Lautstärke, wenn das Lokal gut besucht ist, zumindestens im Anbau, aber alles andere gleicht es wieder aus. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne hin. Vielen Dank an das tolle Team.

Wir waren nun schon zum 2. Mal am zweiten Weihnachtstag mit 19 Personen da, zum 2. Mal auch deshalb, weil es im letzten Jahr so wundervoll war. Dieses Jahr waren wir so wenig begeistert, dass wir im nächsten Jahr wohl nicht noch mal kommen werden. Die Küche ist fantastisch, die Speisekarte mit viel Abwechslung, das Essen superlecker, Preis/Leistung völlig in Ordnung. Mir ist auch bewusst, dass wir in Zeiten stecken, wo gutes Personal schwer zu finden ist - aber... Mir hat hier absolut gefehlt, abgeholt zu werden. Solch ein Essen mit so vielen Personen an so einem Tag sollte etwas besonderes sein, ist es das nicht, kann ich auch zu Hause bleiben. Ich möchte es mir gutgehen lassen und mich wohl fühlen. Es war aber ein "Friss und Geh". Niemand kam während des Essens (wohl auch nicht danach) und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung ist, ob noch was fehlt oder ob jemand vielleicht noch was trinken möchte, zu keinem Zeitpunkt. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise kamen Schlag auf Schlag, es wurde bereits abgeräumt, während noch gegessen wurde, so dass niemand von uns Lust hatte, noch Nachtisch zu bestellen. Die Tatsache, dass ein Messer beim Abräumen auf meiner Hose landete, wurde mit einem "Oops" abgetan. Für mich alles Dinge, für die man noch nicht mal eine qualifizierte Fachkraft sein muss, diese Höflichkeiten kriegt mein 12jähriger Neffe sogar hin. Alles in Allem wirklich nicht schön und wirklich sehr sehr schade, waren wir doch bestimmt der umsatzstärkste Tisch. Wie gesagt - im nächsten Jahr nicht wieder....
