I've been there on several occasions. The food is always very good and beautifully presented. The service is very nice, friendly, and attentive.

Our Christmas party at Elia today was fantastic. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was superb. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful appetizer platter as a starter. For the main course, we had potatoes, vegetables, potato chips, and a variety of high-quality cuts of beef, pork, and lamb. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It couldn't have been better. To finish, we had a wide selection of desserts. A huge thank you to the entire team!

Unfortunately, the restaurant was so crowded that the noise level was far too high, and the bread served as an appetizer arrived with the main course. This visit only gets one star.

Very tasty large dishes, super crispy bread with herb butter to start with, and a digestif on the house! Very friendly welcome and service. We were given a vegetarian starter platter. Interestingly decorated, it was very busy, even in the conservatory. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

My compliments to the chef and waiters. Seven of us came without reservation, were warmly welcomed, and had a very good meal. We even had special requests, which the chef accommodated. The place may be showing its age, but it's clean. Excellent. It was our first time there, and if we're in the area again, we'll definitely go back. Keep it up. 👍

If you're in a good mood, you shouldn't come here. I've eaten here several times now and... Dry food, very rude staff, long wait times. I don't mind if the place is full and the staff is stressed, but it shouldn't be passed on to the guests; it's not professional. Conclusion: When it's quieter, you can sit outside with friends and it's fine. Unfortunately, I can only recommend this restaurant half-heartedly.

Highly recommended! A truly pleasant atmosphere, everything freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. The location is excellent, with no through traffic. It's a bit hidden, but there's plenty of parking. The service is excellent and very friendly; you feel at home. There are plenty of lovely outdoor seating areas when the weather is nice. I'll definitely be back!

100%. Something for every budget. Free water was served to start. Then came bread with spread. The food was served to 16 people almost simultaneously. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. We/I will be back...Thank you.

Our favorite restaurant! We come here as often as possible! Even from Krefeld. Georgios runs a fantastic restaurant with his wife and son and a wonderful team, serving varied Mediterranean cuisine! Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for countless wonderful evenings, including with my 92-year-old mother.

Food was ok but way too expensive for the quantity. The drinks were completely overpriced at €3.10 for 0.2l, the decoration was only made to look fancy but looked rancid and you only sat on uncomfortable garden chairs with a black cloth stretched over them. In addition, almost all the plates or glasses were broken somehow and there were actually no vegetarian or vegan alternatives, even though they were on the internet.

We were there yesterday in a larger group. Personally, I was very enthusiastic, starting with the ambience, very pretty and also a little more elegant. Our table was beautifully set. The service was incredibly nice, friendly and attentive. The food was incredibly tasty, from the starter, to the main course, to the dessert. The warm bread that was served beforehand was also great. I have to say, I personally liked it very much and would like to go there again with my husband and friends, despite the 45-minute drive.

The Elia is located on the Königskarree premises in Mönchengladbach. There are also numerous free parking options available there. It includes numerous comfortable outdoor seating options, in the very large and heated winter garden and in the restaurant. The interior is very attractive and cozy. The service is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The visually dated menu is well sorted and offers numerous delicacies. The inexpensive dishes are served in large portions and are extremely tasty. TIP - I can only recommend it.

I have visited many restaurants, but this restaurant is definitely in the top 3. I don't know of a better restaurant in the area than this one. Super fresh, delicious food with a great price/performance ratio. The service and the boss are super friendly, you are greeted and said goodbye with a handshake. Today there were six of us and my food wasn't there at the same time. In return, I received a free salad in the meantime without asking for it. I've never experienced that anywhere before. Simply world class! Keep it up! 💪🏼

Food and service were top. My meat wasn't fully cooked yet and was corrected without any problem. Unfortunately, the beautiful ambience is marred by “little things”, such as menus stuck with duct tape, completely dead plants or curtains that are only half hanging on the rails.

Great atmosphere in the premises of a former cotton mill. Very nicely equipped and tastefully decorated. That's something. The dishes were served in an appetizing and elegant way: fresh, fragrant bread with butter and olives in advance, here almost a bit too much bread, a starter plate for two, this one without bread and Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts (here, however, I would have preferred halves or at least chopped fresh walnuts instead of a small amount (!) of ground walnuts) to the subtly sweetened Greek mocha. The service was impeccably friendly and attentive. Request: a few vegetable dishes in the main course section or on the weekly menu.

Celebrated my birthday here with friends. The reserved table was beautifully set, the service was impeccable, the food itself was very good, everyone enjoyed it. What is particularly noticeable is the warmth with which you feel welcomed. Gladly again.

A very attractive, chic restaurant with excellent cuisine. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. The menu has something to offer for everyone, even if it tends to be Greek. Since the restaurant is always busy, I would always reserve a table. In summer there is a small outdoor area available, as well as a tent, which is now well heated in winter. There are sufficient parking spaces available.

We can't share the positive reviews!!The boss or owner divides his guests into two classes...completely unprofessional...no owner sits down at one of his guests' tables and drinks his wine...while other guests are completely ignored be treated and wait 30 minutes for the service..Click shop for the friends and acquaintances would like to reach out. Food below average...portions small...price/performance ratio doesn't fit... Ambiance is quite nice but at least the curtains should be adjusted in detail... Waited a very long time for drinks and appetizers, probably forgotten. The food was good, the ambience was quite nice, it was packed, so there was a lot of background noise.

We were there as a group of 6 people and unfortunately our order was completely forgotten. No waiter noticed that we were waiting so long. It wasn't until we asked after about half an hour that the error was noticed. This of course depresses the mood, especially since there was a nice apology but no compensation for the long waiting time. When the food came it was delicious. What is definitely missing is a larger vegetarian offering. Four or five dishes should now be standard, and ideally at least one or two vegan dishes.

As always, the starter and main course were very tasty. Service staff was friendly and very attentive. We keep coming back.

Sat in the winter garden, cold legs despite the heater and heater. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good because there was only one vegetable with the steak. No fries or potatoes... Unfortunately not recommended for the price.

Since the Elià opened, we have come here again and again, sometimes as a couple, sometimes with family/friends/acquaintances. We and everyone else always enjoyed it very much. The ambience is unique, the food and service are top. Another plus is the large parking lot right in front of the door. Of course we would love to come back 🤩

It was my first time in this cafe and my impression is mixed. The interior of the cafe is pretty, and the Christmas decorations are really nice. The dessert I ordered was delicious, but the dishes it was served in were cracked. This is unacceptable in a cafe. I hope no one else gets served dessert on this plate.

We were here with a larger group to celebrate a birthday. The table was reserved and was located between a loud air conditioning unit and a very warm patio heater outside. The first drinks came quickly, but when we ordered the wine (bottle), the wine we wanted was no longer there. Three of us ordered gyros gratinated. At first everything was fine, but we soon noticed that the gyro meat was obviously poultry meat. Since this was not noted anywhere on the menu, we were very surprised, especially since the overall consistency of the meat was not appealing. When asked, one of the waiters explained that that was just the way it was. At the end we were given a very large dessert plate and the obligatory ouzo.

We had our little Christmas party there, the atmosphere was very nice and not too loud. Everything is very harmoniously furnished. The food is excellent, very fresh and everything is very tasty. Not a typical Greek! What I find very pleasant, everything is of very good quality. The staff is very friendly and always has a relaxed attitude and everything happens very quickly. You feel very comfortable there.

The restaurant's decor is great, just like its predecessor, where there was also "dark dinner", so everything was in black. The staff is very nice and on the ball. Starter Tzaziki with bread and then Bifteki Special with Metaxa sauce. Unfortunately the tzatziki was "off", i.e. sour...but I didn't have to pay, nice! The main course came within 10 minutes in the middle of the starter, nothing against fast service, but I still wanted to eat fast food. Recommendation; First just order the starter, then the main course. Unfortunately the bifteki was extremely dry and hard, I looked for the feta cheese and only found a hint in the middle, the sauce was delicious but had nothing to do with Metaxa. At €8.50 per 0.2 glass, the Rioja was totally overpriced for its quality, the first glass was from the day before, the second was better. All in all a culinary disappointment. Too bad

We visited this restaurant full of expectations, but unfortunately I was disappointed with the food, the sole was very tasteless as were the side dishes. The starter was brought almost at the same time as the main course and around 11 p.m., despite a few guests in the shop, tables were moved, chairs were pushed and the dishes were re-set for the next day, a very uncomfortable atmosphere and very rude to the guests. Unfortunately it wasn't my restaurant

A wonderful evening at Elia! The owner welcomed us warmly and made the evening special. The entire team is incredibly friendly and professional, which rounded off the experience perfectly. In addition to excellent wine, we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Greek hospitality. The ambience is a dream and invites you to come back again and again. We always enjoy visiting the Lukulus restaurant in Krefeld, and it's nice to know that the owner comes from the same family. We're looking forward to trying our way through the Mediterranean menu. Absolute recommendation!

We were here for the first time (on the recommendation of Elias' brother ;)) and are super grateful for it. He is simply a great host and you can see that he has found his calling in gastronomy. I know him from the old days and he is still as friendly and welcoming as he was back then. (Save this!) The restaurant is really tastefully and stylishly decorated, but not too stuffy. The menu offers - even for picky people like me (#Die81Unbreaded 😜) - all options for culinary delights :) The staff is also excellent and friendly. Attentive service and always a smile. We thank you all for this wonderful evening in this beautiful atmosphere. You almost miss the Mediterranean harbor for a walk after a delicious meal 😄 Because it really has a holiday flair. Amazing food Great Service Reasonable prices

It should be a relaxed, nice evening. Conclusion: ambience great; eat well; Service was stupid. Friendly, yes, but it's simple things that make an evening a great memory or just something that went too stupid. It starts with little things, like passing on information to guests before they make their selection, for example if dishes are no longer available. And if guests order starters, clarify with the kitchen when the main course will be served. Serving the main course even though the starter is still being eaten!? And “putting it back in the kitchen” is not a solution. The food will definitely not be prepared again. It would also be an idea to ask guests every now and then whether everything is OK or if there is anything else they would like. Or after dinner? Coffee or something for the “empty” glasses. Disappointing, but the difference between going really well and going stupid. Nope, we've experienced it differently, including in Elia. But hoping that the service pendulum swings to the good side, we won't be taking that risk any time soon
