Restaurant Elena in Pinneberg

I used to love going to Elena's. The food was really delicious, and you could tell it was cooked with love. Sadly, it's not the same since the change of ownership. The food just doesn't taste as good anymore, and somehow the warmth it used to have is missing. It's a real shame.

Since switching to this restaurant, I've been there six times and am very satisfied, whether for lunch or dinner. The food is plentiful and of very good quality; the ice cream after the meal is also a welcome treat. The ouzo is a nice touch, and the young men who serve are very attentive, friendly, and communicative. Keep up the good work! Thumbs up!

Everything was great – even on my fifth visit with the new owner. The food was delicious – a scoop of ice cream on the side – thank you! The gyro with calamari was also crispy and delicious.

There isn't much else besides, it's very, very tasty and the service is great ☝️💪!!

Delicious Greek food, a comparatively small menu, which is rarely a bad sign. I definitely disagree with the overly demanding service, as reported in another review. Sure, it was a Tuesday evening with lousy weather, but both servers were attentive and friendly, and the kitchen was quick. I'd be happy to come back!

In my opinion, it's still the best Greek restaurant in Pinneberg! I was skeptical after the change of ownership, but I'm completely satisfied, both with the menu, which has changed a bit and actually now includes my favorite dish! And with the prices, which are still reasonable. I can only give it 5/5 stars!

Very good food, good value for money.

The restaurant has new owners. Four of us were there one evening for the jazz festival – and we ate there twice: the first and the last time…! We encountered a completely overwhelmed and disorganized team. Our order was taken after 25 minutes, the drinks arrived after 45 minutes. The table next door waited over 45 minutes for someone to take their order, presumably only because we politely pointed it out – which immediately earned us a "Mind your own business!" quip from the otherwise very (!) unfriendly staff. The appetizers came with a generous three pieces of bread for four people… The food, unfortunately, was more of a snack bar quality. Even ordering more drinks was more of a Greek odyssey… But at least paying (at the counter) only took 15 minutes (“the boss’s job”). Conclusion: Definitely the worst Greek restaurant currently in Pinneberg. We definitely won't be back.

Great restaurant for a relaxed lunch break. The lunch menu could be a bit cheaper, but the taste and service make up for it. I highly recommend the gyro with bifteki!

Unfortunately, I can only give this place 3 stars. The gyro was unfortunately sliced too thick and didn't really taste that good. We ordered a total of 4 dishes and an appetizer. We did encounter some problems here because something was missing and the waiters didn't really know what we were eating. Nevertheless, they were very polite and friendly. (This review is a one-time review and should not be taken as an actual reference.)

Delicious food with friendly, unobtrusive service from the chef and staff

We actually really enjoy coming here – the food is really good. But recently, we've noticed that one of the employees (I think his name is Tasso or Tazo, I'm not entirely sure) seems very loud and hectic. This really spoils the atmosphere. My wife, my friends, and I now only come when he's off – then it's pleasantly quiet and much more relaxed. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself is really impressive.

We've always enjoyed Elena's before, and it's still delicious now, and the new service staff are really nice. I still highly recommend it. :)

Ordered gyros to go. The fries are large and crispy, the meat isn't too tough, and the sides are good. I'd definitely order again.

I was there this week for the first time since the change of ownership. The team is dedicated, still finding their feet, but open to constructive criticism. The food is of a high standard and delicious.

After the change of ownership, we wanted to get to know the new owners and their new menu. We received a friendly welcome, just as we had been before. Then there was a salad, which unfortunately differed somewhat from the old one. For one thing, we miss the delicious dressing that we always enjoyed so much. The new dressing isn't bad, but perhaps Elena should ask for the recipe for the old house dressing. Also, like before, a small piece of feta cheese was missing from the salad. Then there was a delicious garlic dip with the baguette. Unfortunately, this bread can't compete with Elena's delicious, always freshly baked bread. We had absolutely nothing to complain about with the main courses. We were served delicious, tasty food with our dishes. We will definitely be back.

Since the change of ownership, it's not what it used to be. I had gyros in Metaxa sauce, as usual, but it seemed more like gyros in paprika cream, so not really my thing. The meat was cut very thickly, so the fat was almost impossible to chew. The salad is now snack-quality. Overall, not recommended. It's a shame they ruined such a good restaurant. Well, I'll just find a new Greek place.

We visited the new restaurant "Elena" today and both ordered the Larissa plate. The bifteki and gyro were delicious. The rice on the side was perfect. The portions impressed us both in terms of quality and quantity. As a delicious 😋 starter, we had tzatziki with bread. Our favorite ouzo, "Pilavas," rounded off the meal. We became aware of the restaurant through friends who have been going there for years and have been coming from Hamburg to eat there ever since. Best gyros with spinach and cheese, delicious salad and large selection of warm and cold starters. Elena and family provide super friendly and warm service.

We eat there regularly. Yesterday we left a lot of money there, a meal for two and a voucher for €70. I was a bit sad that we weren't even offered an ouzo. Everyone around us was lucky, except us 😕..... Maybe we'll be luckier next time 😉

We arrived on Saturday evening without a reservation and actually had no chance of getting two seats. But the manager of the house left no stone unturned to accommodate us too. The food was very good, always at the table to check if everything was OK. We really liked it!!

We enjoy coming to Elena and her team regularly and again and again. Food is always very good, tasty and plentiful. We receive very friendly service. However, the clear recommendation is to make a reservation in advance, because other people also like to come here and therefore it is often quite full. If the weather is nice you can also sit at the outdoor seats in the pedestrian zone.

Mega! I've been enjoying going to Elena's for years, a Greek with heart and tradition. The food is known to be Greek and you get the expected result. The service is on par and the cellars are super accommodating.

The restaurant is located next to a pedestrian zone and finding a parking space by car is a bit difficult. But it's worth it...the food there is very good, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is right.

At lunchtime the restaurant is mainly visited by pensioners who eat and drink there every day and are very satisfied.

We had made a special reservation for a birthday dinner for 7 adults and two small children at 5 p.m. After 20 minutes we received the menu, then it took over an hour for the salad to arrive and then a long time for the main courses to arrive in stages. Our request whether the children could perhaps get their meal was kindly accepted, but not fulfilled. During the entire time, no one came to the table to ask for drinks. Many guests who came after us had their food before us and also got the usual ouzo - we didn't. Bags with meals were constantly being given out or delivered for collection. In our opinion, this is not a way to deal with your guests. After 2 1/2 hours, right after eating, we left the restaurant very disappointed and will not come back.

I haven't lived in Pinneberg for long and I seem to live in the epicenter of Greek restaurants. I ordered collection online from Elena for the first time and everything went without any problems. The restaurant was busy when we picked it up. I was greeted very friendly by the staff. The grilled octopus and the gyros were a culinary delight and the portions were generous. So it's no wonder that the store was so busy😜. The Elena restaurant definitely left a very positive first impression on me and as the saying goes, "You'll never get a second chance to make a first impression". So I'd love to come back again. 👍

We have been loyal regular customers for years, and it will stay that way! The selection of different dishes is really impressive - there is something for everyone. Occasionally you have to expect slightly longer waiting times, but this hasn't bothered us so far. Elena has never disappointed us! 🤗

I would give 0 stars if I could We had booked a table for 5:15 p.m., but at 6 p.m. we hadn't ordered any drinks or anything. When asked, a waiter came and took the order for once. Then we continued to be ignored. All guests “after”! Those who came to us already had food or were ready. The starter came at 7:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m.!!!! then our food. NEVER AGAIN WHAT IGNORANCE

Das Essen war Superlecker , Die Einrichtung ist schlicht und einfach. Der Service leicht überfordert.

Supertolles Restaurant, mit sehr leckerem Essen und sehr hilfsbereitem und nettem Personal. Da gibt man auch gerne mal mehr Trinkgeld als nötig. Das Personal nimmt super viel Rücksicht auf seine Kunden und Tiere mögen sie auch sehr. Jederzeit ein Besuch werd. Danke an die Kavalierskellnerin die mir so nett die Tür aufgehalten hat beim Rausgehen. Sowas findet man heute fast gar nicht mehr. Knigge beherrscht Ihr auch, ich bin begeistert.

Als wir angekommen sind wurden wir direkt nett begrüßt. Essen und Trinken kam super schnell, Personal sowie das Essen eine klare 10/10. nur zu Empfehlen!!!
