Wie immer ein absoluter Genuss! Mein Mann, der eigentlich kein großer Fan von Rippchen ist, bestellt sie hier jedes Mal wieder – das sagt wohl alles. Die Portion ist so großzügig, dass sie locker für zwei Personen reicht. Und ich frage mich jedes Mal aufs Neue, wie Daniel es schafft, die Putenbrust so unglaublich saftig und aromatisch zuzubereiten – einfach beeindruckend! Ein großes Kompliment an das gesamte Team. Für alle Knoblauchliebhaber ein echter Geheimtipp: das Brot mit Knoblauchdip – ein absolutes Muss, auch wenn man dafür im Magen ein wenig Platz einplanen sollte. Wer bei diesen Portionen nicht satt wird, ist wirklich selbst schuld bzw. sollte vielleicht noch die Brownies 😉 bestellen! Ein riesiges Dankeschön geht auch an das Service-Team: stets aufmerksam, schnell und ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne hierher!

Wir haben letztens dort essen bestellt (ist sicher nochmal ein Unterschied als direkt im Restaurant) jedoch war das Essen nicht unbedingt schmackhaft. Wir haben 3 Essen bestellt und hatten alle 3 danach Magenprobleme. Das Essen kam in einer Tüte die total versaut war und teilweise schon aufgerissen. Würde ich persönlich nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Essen sah tatsächlich auch lieblos reingeschmissen aus…

Eben bei Lieferando dort bestellt. Es war mit Abstand das widerlichste Essen was ich bis jetzt in meinem Leben gegessen habe. 20€ dafür ist eine bodenlose Frechheit. Ich habe ein Viertel davon gegessen und musste wegen Bauchkrämpfen aufhören.

Ich kann mich den negativen Kommentaren überhaupt nicht anschließen. Wir haben heute zum 1. Mal dort Essen bestellt und es war so lecker. Die Speisen sind sehr groß und auch ästhetisch angerichtet. Das Essen wurde heiß und frisch geliefert. Die Enchilada Pollo sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Waren heute zu dritt in diesem Restaurant - phänomenal! Die Servicekraft war perfekt zwischen guten Humor und einen geschulten Auge für die Gäste Das Essen war vom Preis her echt bemerkenswert gut, dazu die Portion wirklich groß ! Nur Empfehlenswert, ein echter Geheimtipp !!

Super nette Bedienung und fantastisches Essen

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Das Personal war wirklich freundlich. Die Gerichte sind für den großen Hunger. Preislich wirklich gut. Leider fehlte es mir persönlich an Gewürzen aber das ist ja Geschmacksache und Salz stand auf dem Tisch.

Wir waren in Leipzig zur LBM und hatten ein Restaurant in der Nähe unseres Hotels gesucht. Online Reservierung war problemlos. Die Bedienung sehr sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war mega. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und uns wohl gefühlt. Nächstes Jahr zur LBM gerne wieder. Liebe Grüße aus Oberfranken.

Also eigentlich wollte ich noch mal hin, um meinen zweiten Eindruck um einen dritten zu erweitern und dann eine Rezession zu schreiben. Dies ist mir aber nach mehreren Anläufen nicht möglich, weil Samstagabend 20:30 Uhr die Küche sagt, wir haben nichts mehr..... Oder eben einfach Küchenschluss wie auch immer. Sehr schade, denn wir haben in schönefeld nicht wirklich gute Gastronomie. Jedenfalls hatte ich beim zweiten Besuch die Fleischplatte, die zwar tatsächlich Fleisch lass dich wahr, aber eben sehr trocken und nicht wirklich lecker. Lieber Chef, haben sie keine Lust mehr diesen Laden zu betreiben? Es gibt hier so viel Potenzial, aber so wird das nichts! Ich persönlich werde keinen 4 5 6 Versuche mehr unternehmen, am samstagabend bei euch essen zu gehen..... Und da das Ambiente definitiv ein Renovierung bedarf, möchte ich auch nicht nur zum Tequila trinken kommen.

Ich war gestern das erste Mal in El Toro mit meiner Freundin. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Und man musste nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut. Und das Essen war wirklich fantastisch. Klare Weiterempfehlung.

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend zu zweit (meine Frau und ich) im El Toro in Leipzig. Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend – dafür ein großes Plus. Nachdem wir das Essen reklamiert hatten, gab es auch einen Preisnachlass, was wir fair fanden. Zum Essen: Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine Tapasplatte. Die war insgesamt okay, allerdings waren die Dips ziemlich mild – da hätte ich mir deutlich mehr Würze gewünscht. Leider ging es bei den Hauptgerichten dann deutlich bergab. Mein Rumpsteak war geschmacklich enttäuschend und auch beim Garpunkt hat es nicht gepasst: nicht richtig getroffen und gleichzeitig eher übergart. Der Knoblauchdip dazu war für mich leider wirklich furchtbar. Die Kartoffelspalten waren immerhin frisch gemacht, aber komplett ungewürzt – es fehlte Salz, Pfeffer und generell jede Art von Abschmecken. Meine Frau hatte Chicken Wings, die ihr ebenfalls überhaupt nicht geschmeckt haben. Unterm Strich: sehr freundlicher Service und korrektes Entgegenkommen, aber die Qualität und Würzung der Speisen haben unseren Abend leider stark enttäuscht. Wir würden aktuell eher nicht wiederkommen.

Ich liebe das El Torro! Das Essen ist immer wieder ein absolutes Fest! Riesige Portionen und mit ganz viel Liebe angerichtet! Das Team ist auch mega zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich :) Es wird auch immer geschaut ob alle versorgt und glücklich sind 🫶🏼 absolute Empfehlung!

Für jeden der gern Mexikanisch essen möchte würde ich den Laden nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Die Leute waren nett, das Essen und der Service eher mangelhaft. Grade wenn man weis was man bekommen müsste wird man da zum Teil sehr enttäuscht. Geschmacklich haut es einen da auch nicht vom Hocker. Allerdings das Rinderfilet war Perfekt Medium. Das muss man dem Koch lassen.

Wir sind eigentlich immer spontan im El Torro werden aber stets herzlich empfangen. Der Service ist spitze und das Essen ist auch lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Fleischgerichte (Rumpsteak und Grillgemüse echt lecker)Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Die absolut besten Rippchen aus Leipzig! Super Ambiente, richtig guter Service und die Preise sind weit unter der Leistung die man bekommt☺️

We (three people) spontaneously visited this restaurant on Monday, December 15, 2025, and it was a very pleasant evening. The staff was very friendly, the food was really good, and therefore the value for money was excellent – ​​three thumbs up! We will definitely be back.

The meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. Thank you a thousand times for such food! If the restaurant's other dishes are as "good" as this, it deserves a full ten-star rating. The decor and tableware could be better, to put it mildly. The fact that the crisp, delicious-smelling ribs were served on... well, shabby iron trays... is worth mentioning.

This was our first time at El Torro and we'll definitely be back! The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress was super sweet and friendly, and we felt very comfortable. Excellent value for money! :) Highly recommended!

The food was very good, although not exactly Mexican (I live in Mexico and was there with Mexican friends). But maybe that's what the German palate imagines Mexican to be. The food was really beautifully presented and tasted excellent, even to our Mexican friends. It just wasn't Mexican food. The service was very friendly and professional; we felt very comfortable. We waited a long time for our food, but the restaurant was extremely busy, and they were having an event inside. The outdoor seating was nice, and we were there to chat. That was all fine! All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation, as it's apparently very popular. When we were seated, some walk-ins couldn't get a table.

The food is quite good, but has little in common with Mexican cuisine. The "green salsa," for example, isn't really a salsa at all, but seemed to be made from pickled cucumber. The baked potato slices were in a rich sauce that lacked the expected spice. The main courses were all quite good, and there were a few vegetarian options. The dark beer is very sweet. The outdoor seating was pleasant despite the proximity to Gorkistrasse.

So, we did wait a little longer for our food, even though the place wasn't busy. Every request was accommodated, so it was worth the wait. The food was very plentiful and delicious! We'd definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely evening!

A smooth 10/10 Absolutely recommended

We were guests with a group of 7 people. We made easy reservations online in advance. We were probably lucky with the time we had and were able to give up everything in peace and got everything in a great time frame. Without exception, the dishes were all beautifully designed and presented on the plates. None of us had anything to complain about in terms of taste. Everyone was thrilled! The amount was just right. We were thrilled. I haven't eaten so well in a long time!!! We'll be back! P.s. The pictures are just two of the many dishes on the menu ;)

As a Mexican, I have to say I love the atmosphere, which makes you feel like you're in the north of my country. The dishes are deliciously interpreted and offer a lot of variety. Chilaquiles with the German twist are among my favorites. Every time I visit this restaurant, they surprise me with their spices. The very friendly service and attention to detail make me feel very comfortable.

We were more than satisfied with our visit. Very friendly staff, we had stated that we were bringing a birthday child with us and our table was beautifully prepared and there was also a "Happy Birthday" lettering above the birthday child's seat. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The food was rich and delicious. Cocktails and drinks were brought quickly. The only thing we regret is that today was the first time we managed to eat here after all these years 😅. So close and never seen before. Our visit will not be the last. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and had previously reserved a table online after discovering the restaurant among the best steakhouses in the city. When we got there we were a bit put off by the rustic and somewhat outdated atmosphere. The waitress welcomed us very warmly. We chose the nachos as a starter, which were very tasty and flavorful. The dips were also very good. For the main course I wanted the 400g. Trying steak and my companion decided on something with chicken. After a long wait of around 45 minutes (the restaurant otherwise only had 8 other guests) our food arrived. Problem, I got the grill plate for two people instead of the steak. The waitress noticed it quickly and asked me about it herself, but since I didn't want to put 1.5 kg of meat back in the trash, I kept the plate. She also said it wasn't significantly expensive. Well, for me personally, 22€ more is significantly more expensive for a dish that costs 38€. Nothing more was said about it, no compensation or even a discount was received. All of this left a bad aftertaste, but it didn't get any better. The fillet on the platter was very good and medium rare, as were the potato wedges, which were also very tasty. But that's where the praise ends, the rest was uninspired and my companion's chicken didn't really taste good either. All in all, I have to agree with the other negative reviews here, this was certainly a good restaurant whose best years were unfortunately a long time ago. Unfortunately we won't be visiting the restaurant again in the future.

Unfortunately disappointing. We wanted to have a nice meal for Valentine's Day. Positive: the tables were beautifully decorated and the service staff were very friendly. Negative: the food was disappointing :-( We ordered the grill platter for 2 people, the Argentinian fillet extra medium rare and the rump steak medium. The cooking levels are explained separately on the menu and we assumed that the cook knew his stuff and had an idea of ​​what he was doing. Unfortunately everything was well done and my beef fillet medium rare (the one piece) I could have killed someone with it, it was fried so tightly. The rest of the meat was also very dry and fried so hot/black. There were no grilled vegetables, apart from 2 slices of zucchini and peppers on the chicken skewer. It was just a mountain full of meat without any love. The potatoes were also not seasoned. After waiting an hour for the food, we didn't complain because we were hungry. We made the best of it but it's still a shame!

We wanted to have a nice evening for the three of us, we had also ordered and we were warmly welcomed. The space wasn't exactly nice - a 4 man table in the corner with little space! Now to eat me and my wife a meat platter for 2 people it wasn't worth the money. The sticks were tough, the fillet wasn't cooked through. And what was supposed to be grilled vegetables were skewers with poultry and various vegetables. So overall it wasn't recommended. We won't be coming back.

Es waren nochb3 Tische besetzt und wir haben auf Getränke und Essen sehr lange gewartet. Eine hat a la Carte gegessen und die Foliekartoffel war lauwarm und dann kalter Schmand drauf. Wir haben uns darauf gefreut und waren alle sehr enttäuscht!

Hello, we had dinner in the restaurant last night and unfortunately we were guided by the actually good rating. On the positive side, the waitress was very nice and the portions were very generous and the plate was well prepared. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing, all the dips tasted watery, as if they had been diluted, and the salad also didn't taste like anything. Even my ribs, which were the reason we went there, weren't good, even with the watery barbecue sauce. I won't talk any further about the ambience in the restaurant and the very outdated toilets. I don't want to offend anyone, but perhaps the operator should think of a new concept. Unfortunately, it is not recommended.

Just miserable! Seldom eaten so badly! I had a grill platter for over €30, which consisted of rump steak (completely tough and inedible), ribs (dry and with silver skin), fillet (which wasn't good), two chicken wings (really very good), two drumsticks (terrible) and a skewer of meat (dry). .. My girlfriend had enchilada polo (chicken) on rice. Everything was completely unseasoned and simply loveless! It's a complete mystery where the good reviews come from! The service was super nice! The price is an absolute disgrace!

Very nice staff, attentive and accommodating. We had my son's birthday as an occasion. Our table was even decorated a bit and there was a Happy Birthday garland hanging on the table. Very sweet! Thanks for that! The food was very good. The large portion of ribs is huge and very tender. All in all, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Finally found time again to enjoy the extensive food and the unique service at elTorro, which leaves nothing to be desired. We have to do it more often. Always worth a visit!!!

Great food, good service, ambience could be improved. Nice selection of dishes and drinks. Unfortunately not quite as clean as you would like. Parking is also difficult to find, but certainly not a problem with the tram. In any case, spare ribs are recommended 😋.

I don't want to say anything bad, but I was bitterly disappointed with everything. The outdoor area was very dirty from the trees around it. Zero flair. Decided to eat inside. It was very dark. Think that the place is past its best. A little color goes a long way. We ordered a meat platter for 2. The anticipation was great. What can I say, it looked good but in my opinion it didn't taste good. Ribs totally dry. Meat skewer was the same. The wings were very dark. Steaks were okay. The cocktail was more warm than cold. Conclusion: we tried it and won't be back.

Frozen goods, terrible value for money, poor service There would have been enough time for the employees to pick up a rag to clean something (e.g. the toilet door). Everything inside just sticks (kitchen fumes!) Everything smells like old chip fat. The dishes on the menu are good, but what and how it comes out of the kitchen is unfortunately not nice.

Highly recommended! Huge portions, very very tasty. The barbecue sauce for the ribs (which were huge and lots of them) was to die for and the hot sauces did the rest for us. Gladly again. The beer could have been colder and faster. But that didn't spoil our successful evening. Thanks!

I got to know it as a delivery service during Corona times and today, after visiting several restaurants, I have to say the service is always very good and we love the ribs and fajita corizo, as well as the Jarritos limos. We always come back!

We were there with a group of 10 and were greeted straight away when we made our reservation. We were given the menu and were able to choose typical Mexican dishes from a clear menu. The nachos as a starter were really good with the dips. The salsa had a pleasant spiciness. With 10 people, it took a while for the food to be ready, but we were able to start together. The portions were really big and good. “We can’t do small.” was a quote from a friendly employee who took good care of our needs. The drinks also left nothing to be desired and we didn't end up with a fall on the bill. Cheap and great quality, friendly staff, humor is also present and a nice atmosphere. It wasn't the last time we were there. Recommended for every occasion in Leipzig. Reservations should be made early if the number of people is larger. ;)

Great service, very attentive and not too intrusive. Food was great, very tasty and cooked to perfection for me. The potatoes were absolutely amazing. Two people had the grill plate, and three of them would easily have been fed up. Even if the restaurant is a bit inconspicuous from the outside, I can highly recommend it.
