Restaurant El Greco in Bad Schönborn

Been back to El Greco for quite some time today. My meal was a disaster - the potato slices and gyro were rock hard. With the drink I had to pay EUR 24.50 for a meal that wasn't worth ten euros. I was there last time.

This restaurant is exceptionally customer-friendly, the food is very tasty and the meat is super tender and has a great grilled aroma.

Food was sensational, the service was incredibly fast and very helpful. Abiente is rather showing its age. Still very happy again.

Everything fits. We welcome you with 1 ouzo, bread and olives. The food was very tasty and at the end there was a dessert from the kitchen! Nice, attentive staff.

Everything's great, just too loud

Great Greek restaurant with very nice operators. Food and service excellent. Sometimes a bit noisy, but that doesn't stop us from coming here once a year despite the long journey.

Within 5 minutes of sitting down there were two welcome snacks and bread with olive oil on the table. The service is very fast, so you can order within 10 minutes and get the salad starter despite the full restaurant. The food was very good, the meat was very fresh and tasty. The staff is very friendly. All in all very successful and definitely recommended.

The food was incredibly delicious. I ate scampi and calamari from the grill. Everything was excellent. The service was excellent and the ambiance is beautiful. We'd love to come back.

We reserved a table for 6 p.m. and were kindly brought to the table. After 45 minutes we had to ask if we could order. Then we had to wait over an hour for our food. It's a shame we were here for our birthday. But apparently other guests were given preferential treatment, came later and got their food quicker.

Brilliant Greek, I ate very well, was almost full after starters, great selection of food, good price/performance ratio, simply top. It is always advisable to pre-order.

A restaurant you should definitely visit. My opinion may not appeal to everyone, but the food was good and plentiful, the service was courteous and the atmosphere inside and outside of Mingolsheim really appealed to me.

Portions have become very small. Contents of the plates are changed to favorable.

Food very good. It's always very well attended. High price. But you get ouzo, greetings from the kitchen and a small dessert. The price is justified in my opinion.

A really good Greek restaurant, nice staff. Right at the beginning there is an ouzo and olives, as well as a bread basket. Enough time to choose from the menu, which offers a lot of choice. Everything was very tasty, gladly again. 😃

Very good food, very friendly and fast service, olives and enough bread as a greeting from the kitchen, 2x ouzo (aperitif and digestive) and chocolate pudding, all as a house bonus! Cooked very quickly despite many guests and absolutely delicious! For the first time I really enjoyed tzatziki because it was so finely tuned and chopped into small pieces.

Food was good, but the portions. They were very clear for the price. Friendly service, food came quickly.

We went to the restaurant for lunch. Although the interior was already well filled and a birthday party of around 20 people arrived at the same time as us, the service was very friendly and seemed relaxed. We were greeted with a free ouzo and free chocolate pudding for dessert. The food was delicious. The only negative point: the outdoor spaces are right on the street, so passing cars disturb the peace

Place was dirty, I sat outside because I'm a smoker. Food was ok but the table and chair legs urgently need to be cleaned. If I had seen this before, I would have preferred to eat somewhere else.

Honestly? The cook should do an apprenticeship in the kitchen of the Klosterschenke in Lobenfeld/Lobbach. Dried out gyros and meat. The tzatziki is definitely not homemade. The 2 free ouzos don't help either. A pity.

Update May 2024 We moved a year ago, what a tragedy, we never thought that we could miss a restaurant with such good quality so much. Update June 2021 What luck, they are still there, service, food everything, as usual, great, you feel welcome as always, the quality remains unchanged and, plentiful. The customers thank you, very well attended, now they need support after the long dry spell! Still 5 stars We will definitely come back 😃 October 2020 You can see that the place has recently been spruced up. The food tastes really good, large portions, friendly staff. Considering that the competition is only a few meters further, it seems to harmonize well or complement each other, both would and will continue to do so, as everyone has their strengths and weaknesses😊

Many Greek restaurants have the charm of the past. This restaurant has managed to offer very good and inexpensive Greek cuisine in a modern atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially for families.

The food was really, really good! Completely fresh vegetables and freshly prepared. Service also very attentive! I would love to come here often, but unfortunately I live further away - I was visiting someone in rehab. All in all, I sincerely recommend it!

I haven't had such good Greek food in a long time, and the really friendly and hard-working staff were incredibly attentive and quick, despite the restaurant being full! So absolutely recommended! And of course you should definitely make a reservation here in advance and be able to handle the noise easily, because there is always a good atmosphere here. We were there for the first time and felt warmly welcomed by the Greek hosts, like we were part of a “big family” 🤗 Thank you! Oh yes, and of course the price/performance ratio is also good 😊

The restaurant is simply wonderful!! Nice waiters, delicious food and perfect atmosphere. This is now my favorite restaurant. Be sure to try the medium-rare steak with potatoes and pepper sauce. Bravo!❤🇩🇪🇬🇷

Our favorite Greek! Everything fits there. Food great! Before you order, you get Quzo, olives and bread. You feel pampered and enjoy being there. At the end there is a small dessert and Quzo again.

We have been to El Greco a few times so far. So far we have always enjoyed friendly and quick service. There were never any complaints about the food either. No unnecessarily long waiting times or anything like that. We always enjoy coming here.

Had dinner there with my buddy. We weren't greeted very friendly, the staff was very stressed. I ordered rump steak with herb butter twice. Unfortunately it came with pepper sauce. At least the waitress apologized. The chips that came with it were unseasoned and full of air, the side salad was tiny and tasted like rancid, bad olive oil. My colleague also ordered his rump steak medium rare and got it as rare as possible. For the whole thing with a drink over €33, it's really not good. 2 out of 5 stars.

We visited the Greek restaurant "El Greco" on Sunday afternoon. Surprisingly full for the time. The waiters are nice and very on the ball, hardly any waiting times. My wife had gyros with octopus, I had a moussaka, pleasant portions, including a small side salad with a great dressing. I thought it was a good meal, two large juice spritzers and a tip for €50, which is a good value for money these days. The little free extras were also very nice: before ordering an Uzo, bread bowl and oil, after eating we declined further Uzos and were surprisingly each given a small chocolate dessert. Try it out if you're traveling nearby!

Today was our first time at El Greco and we wanted to try something new after many other Greek restaurants. We were absolutely thrilled, the restaurant offers a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. The service team is young and very accommodating. The food was a dream, we have never eaten such good Greek delicacies... we will of course come back and recommend it to others... thank you very much for a great meal

Service, ambience and food were great. In terms of price, it's also absolutely okay. The one star deduction is because of the “chips” or potatoes as a side dish. Unfortunately, these weren't seasoned and didn't taste like anything. However, the tomato rice as a side dish was very good. Overall, we would definitely come back. Just don't choose French fries as a side dish.

An outstanding address for Greek specialties with unique service. The employees from service to kitchen staff are very courteous, tactful and work with a lot of dedication! Even though I hadn't made a reservation and the restaurant was full except for two tables, I was brutally surprised by the structured processes: allocation of seats, aperitif and olives with bread as a greeting, taking the order and damn quick preparation! Big praise to the entire team. Thank you.

Were there without a table reservation. We were lucky that there was still room for two people. It was very busy, even late in the evening. Food was sufficient and very tasty. Likewise the Uso and the dessert. Price-wise, completely okay.

Great restaurant, we were there with six people. Ouzo, bread and olives as a greeting from the kitchen. Starters and main courses on the table despite the very full restaurant. Very high level and great quality. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

The best service I have experienced in a long time! People checked on you regularly, empty plates were cleared away promptly, and ouzo and olives were served in advance. The food and especially the gyros are both perfectly seasoned and the portion size is perfect.
