Very, very good food. Rarely have I had such a perfectly fried medallion. All very friendly

The food is very spicy, borderline in places. The prices, well... Above all, the drinks are expensive. 0.5l of alcohol-free wheat €5.70....... And the water 0.25l for €3.30 tastes musty.

The restaurant "Donau (Grill)" in Hanover, OT Wülfel, serves grilled Balkan specialties as well as international dishes such as fish, schnitzel or steaks. Every guest who has ordered a dish can choose what they want from the small salad bar. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms as well as a beer garden. The service is always very nice and helpful to the guests.

Today we ordered food for pickup, food was ready for pickup after the promised 30 minutes. The waiter checked the food again to make sure it was complete. When we got home we discovered that there were no fries. I was told by phone we could have a discount next time. Nevertheless, the longed-for meal was ready for me and my little daughter on Sunday evening. At least there was rice for my wife. Great service for €50.20 + €4.80 tip.

The shashlik consisted of 100 g pork and 100 g peppers with onions in HELA ketchup. 22 euros is 3 times more expensive than schxxxx fair. And worse... The steak was tough. Filled with cheap cheese. I now understand why the table next door was desperately asking for salt With everything there was a mini scoop of rice. Fries were ok Everything was not hot, but lukewarm

We haven't been as cold as we were there in a long time. The door to the outside was open the whole time and we sat inside with our winter coats. Things didn't get any better when we told the waitress. The meat dishes were okay but the vegetarian plate for 19 euros was bad and overpriced. Baked potato, mushy frozen mixed vegetables and fried sheep's cheese. What a shame!

Typical Yugoslavian restaurant. The dishes are all well prepared and of acceptable quality. Extra requests are definitely taken into account here. For example, you can order garlic in olive oil with your meal here. The service is always friendly and helpful. The Donau restaurant has now become my favorite Yugoslav restaurant in Hanover. 😋 I can particularly recommend the outdoor dining in the inner courtyard. A real Mediterranean holiday feeling is created here. ❤️

Price/performance ratio fits. Food is expensive but high quality and extremely tasty. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I've actually never eaten as deliciously as I did here and I always take my fiancée here for their anniversary.

Excellent restaurant with very tasty cuisine! The food leans towards the Balkans, very meat-heavy. But incredibly good. I ate the best gyros I can remember here: crispy, juicy and excellently seasoned. The fries were also just right: hot and crispy, salted just right. The chef knows what he is doing. The service was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Prices were high but OK. The restaurant seems a bit out of date: everything is a bit old-fashioned, but in good condition and very clean. The menu also gives you nostalgic feelings: pirate plates, ladies plates, senior plates, everything is there! But it didn't bother us, the food was great and the beer was cold and fresh. What more do you want?

Delicious food and drinks, friendly and qualified staff for over 40 years. Nice outdoor area in the summer months. Tip: “Pola Pola”😋 and of course a Slivovitz or five 😎

I am adding to my original review. The food and service is very appropriate for the price. What really bothers me is the poor air quality in the restaurant. I've been a family guest a few times now and each time it was extremely hot and, above all, stuffy after a short time. Meanwhile, all radiators are running at the highest level. I realize that you can't just open the windows because of the traffic noise. Nevertheless, a ventilation system would improve the stay significantly.

Food was okay, unfortunately the serving didn't work for our whole group at the same time (9 people), requesting drinks wasn't successful and the tone of the service was more military. Never again...

The visit took place during the week. The restaurant wasn't very busy. We were warmly welcomed and were able to choose our table. We were able to put together a salad from the salad buffet to accompany our meals. The salad buffet was ok - pickled salad ingredients (peppers, coleslaw, kidney beans etc) supplemented with fresh leaf lettuce as well as onions, croutons and dressing. The main courses were okay, but nothing more. I would have liked the gyro to be crispier. It was a shame that people walked past the table several times and never once asked if they wanted any more drinks. And on 3 different occasions. At the latest when the guest appears at the counter or has to approach the staff, I would become more attentive. There may also be potential here to generate money for the restaurateur through the guests' drinks.

I was there again after a long time. The food was, as always, very good, only the portions are smaller and the price has become higher. Unfortunately I had to sit upstairs. There are only chairs with armrests (feels like they're from the 80s). Unfortunately, they are very uncomfortable and painful for people like me with strong thighs. Our reservation couldn't be found and we had to look for a table ourselves. The service was very overwhelmed. Often forgot things, not just with us. We then also received the wrong invoice. At the end, as we know it, we were given a Julischka. It would have been nice if they had asked beforehand if we would like one. Especially since one was also given to my minor son.

I celebrated my 65th birthday with 7 people. We've eaten at this restaurant several times and it's always been ok. But this time it was very uncomfortable. It was cold, so some of us put our thick winter jackets back on. There was a strong draft at the table (air conditioning?). It didn't get any better after we told the waitress. The service was very unfriendly and seemed overwhelmed. We had to wait a very long time for the food. Food itself was ok. We weren't even asked in between whether we would like to order more drinks. We didn't get the obligatory Julischka at the end, even though it is usually offered and other guests did get it. Overall a very disappointing evening.

Was there with my best friend for her birthday dinner...me and my dear friend since she was 16 (!!) for the first time. The atmosphere is nice and rustic in wood...the service staff have to work really hard because the shop was really very well attended (according to my friend it is always well attended) The food is extremely tasty and really well prepared. Very nice plus point: there is a salad buffet (free) that couldn't have been better... Conclusion: You won't be able to get rid of me anymore. All thumbs up 👍 👍👍👍👍

A great restaurant, delicious meat dishes! Very friendly service, beautiful interior, we felt very comfortable. The gyros are said to be the best in town. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 9 p.m. it was already empty, which is another indication of the quality. The alternative: lamb plate (approx. €25) was also first class! Served with creamy sheep's cheese, with roasted aromas on the outside, pink on the inside and beautifully topped with garlic. Delicious. The fries, rice and extra portion of tzatziki were also very tasty. The red hot sauce was still very fruity. Yummy! As a starter there is salad, which each guest can put together themselves at the salad bar. Good selection, tasty and also good work organization from the service team. In addition to regional Gilde beer, there is, among other things, Franziskaner Weizen (approx. €5.70/0.5l) on tap and Croatian wine. The dry white country wine was very tasty! The price performance ratio is very good. Good tasty quality at reasonable prices. Grill plate/mixed plate approx. 18-20 €. Esse war kalt,bei 10 Personen überfordert mit der Bestellung, falsches Essen ausgegeben.Pommes einfach wieder im Fett aufgewärmt, ekelhaft.Portionen klein und teuer.

Seit gut 12 Jahren gehen wir regelmäßig in das Restaurant. Es hat mit Abstand das beste Gyros in Hannover, ein leckeres Salatbuffet und man wird immer sehr freundlich und nett bedient. Auch die anderen Gerichte lassen das Fleischherz höher schlagen. Die Teller sehen auf den ersten Blick nicht üppig aus, das liegt aber daran das die Pommes in einer extra Schüssel gebracht werden. Das Restaurant ist eher rustikal und die Tischdeko könnte mal überarbeitet werden. Mittlerweile gibt es aber eine schöne Außenanlage für den Sommer, in dem man sein Essen und ein kühles Bier genießen kann. Wir würden uns gerne mal jahreszeitliche Angebote wünschen. Im Sommer Rippchen mit den Gewürzen aus dem Balkan. Im Winter das tolle Gulasch was es einst mal gab.

Gutes Speiserestaurant (kroatisch + Gyros 😀). Könnte alles etwas spannender gewürzt sein. Unsere Reservierung für 6 Personen war irgendwie untergegangen, nach einer Viertelstunde würden wir aber platziert. Leicht überdurchschnittliche Preise.

Super Service Super Essen sehr lecker

Das Essen war sehr Mangelhaft,denn die Bohnensuppe war lau warm und das Schnitzel mit Soße zu Salzig.Sogar der Reis war lauwarm.Dort gehen wir nie wieder hin.Eine reine Enttäuschung.

Wir waren dort eingeladen zum Geburtstag. Trotz Reservierung hat man uns in einen Zwischenraum geparkt. Die Salatauswahl am Buffet war ok nur der Krautsalat war selber gemacht alles andere kam aus der Tüte. Auch musste ich auf mein Gericht länger warten als die anderen. Dafür war mein Hackfleisch nicht ganz Gar gebraten und hat bei mir am Abend zu schweren Bauchkrämpfen und Darm Problemen geführt. Ich würde dort nicht noch einmal Hackfleisch bestellen.

Wie früher mit den Eltern beim Jugoslawen Essen gehen. Jugoslawien gibt es nicht mehr, aber ganz leckeres Essen im Donau. Sehr aufmerksamer Service und die Einrichtung passt zu den Kindheitserinnerungen.

Das Essen ist gut und die Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Am besten ist es jedoch vorher anzurufen und zu reservieren, da dieses Restaurant gut besucht ist. Auch in diesem Jahr 2023 waren wir wieder in den Restaurant zum Essen. Das Essen war wie im letzten Jahr wieder richtig gut und reichhaltig. Gerne kommen wir wieder hierher. Liebe Grüßle
