Restaurant Dioni in Leimen

We just went there on a whim and got a table without a reservation, even though the restaurant was very busy. Very nice staff, large portions and good quality! Reservation is still advisable!!

Very tasty food, cozy atmosphere and service! However, an advance reservation would be recommended.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Dioni Restaurant and it was just perfect! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which immediately made us feel at home. The food was fantastic – authentic, fresh and full of flavour. We were particularly pleased that our special requests were fulfilled without any problems. We had a wonderful evening and would love to come back. Many thanks to the Dioni team for this great experience!

Had dinner there last week. The meat was very hard and the taste was not the best. The side dishes were OK. Service was good. But taste wasn't. I'll look for another restaurant.

Very good Greek. Quite large portions, but also quite expensive. You have to expect at least 30 euros per person. A surprise for “Leimen”.

Went there after our Crete vacation and it was a pleasure to eat there again. Very tasty dishes. Friendly staff and the food comes quite quickly, even when the restaurant is full. Gladly again 👌 My favorite Greek

We got a seat in the beer garden and were served quickly. The staff had an overview at all times. The food is unbeatable❣️ We don't come that often, but on special occasions.

I've tried many Greek restaurants, but this one has clearly catapulted to number one. The taste of the food is simply amazing. Clear recommendation!

The food is really very good. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired... the waiters were very rude, for the first time in my life I felt unwanted in a restaurant. Whenever I'm on vacation in Leimen, I come here for dinner. Today was the last time I was here

Reserved for 10 people, 12 came. But it wasn't a problem at all. The food was really tasty.

Very inflexible. Absolutely no hosts do. Wannabe Greek. Another restaurateur who believes he is cooking Greek because he sprinkles a little oregano on his meat. Far-fetched. Not recommended.

Good food as always! We drive about twice a year from Frankfurt to eat there! Black tiger shrimp are also much smaller It's a shame they're no longer Black Tigers for me. Unfortunately we have to say this time about the service: grumpy, inattentive and unmotivated. We don't actually know that from the Dioni restaurant and hope this was an isolated case.

Despite two people celebrating on the same evening - the eight of us got a great place! The ambience is upscale and beautiful! The service was very accommodating! The food: … Never had Greek food so good! And as I said: even though the restaurant was full: there was almost no waiting time! We will be back :-)

Everything was great, but I wish I had more flexibility. I've been coming since it opened. The former boss was more personal and sometimes tried to fulfill an extra request. Somehow the personal touch has been lost. Unfortunately, I've been coming to Dioni for 10 years and have always been really excited about it The last two times I was very disappointed, especially when you brought friends with you and suggested that it was great. The food was almost cold, the liver was dry and the fried onions were a mess. It was a shame. Yesterday I was eating again with two people I knew and I was once again totally thrilled That was great, like in old times, meat was crispy, tzatziki tasted great, everything was just right, thank you for that, like in old times, please keep it, thank you

Grilled pepperoni (€7.90) and baked gyros (€17.90) from the Greek restaurant in Leimen. Nice and quick service in a very stylish restaurant. The food is fresh and tastes good. Recommended 👍

Delicious food, nice ambience and nice staff

So we spontaneously had lunch at DIONI and everyone was thrilled without exception (even the girls 😉). There is even a lunch menu there that offers a lot of choice and is quite affordable! The service is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very chic and modern, cozy. But above all the food was great. My recommendation (not lunch menu) The starter is grilled octopus 🐙 Lunch menu: Mixed grill plates. There was also a side salad with the meal. Also try the halva ice cream, it's very tasty 😋

Very good Greek, meat grilled perfectly, all in all top... Addendum. Went to Dioni again (even though Monday is a day off, it was open for Valentine's Day, thank you) Staff very friendly and accommodating despite the restaurant being full. Starters and main courses cooked to perfection as always. Great price for what is on offer.

A large lunch and regular menu. Simply delicious, no matter what you order. The service is very good, professional and polite! You really feel like you're on vacation. Now my wife and I are spoiled for choice between Restaurant Dioni in Leimen and Restaurant Waldhaus Dioni in Neulißheim.

Went here for dinner on the occasion of a birthday and were very satisfied. The restaurant is very tastefully and comfortably furnished. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The menu offers a delicious and large selection. We had various starters and main courses, which impressed us in terms of taste. Great value for money! Would love to come back.

Great - especially the lunch menu is unbeatable

Positive: nice atmosphere. Negative: Having to wait 1.5 hours for the starter... After 2 hours the main course came - unfortunately COLD. We immediately sent it back and asked for warm food. We then got it warmed up again. The meat was rock hard and the fries were soggy. Beyond disgusting and rude. Prices for such service + food absolutely impossible. After paying attention to how dissatisfied we were, we were offered a coffee. We politely declined! The Dioni is NOT recommended. We, friends and family won't be going there again.

I’ve been going for years every time I go on training in the area. We were always happy but two days ago I got food poisoned. I went with another six colleagues and two of us were really bad the day after. I will never set a foot in there again.

The place is very busy. Reservation recommended. Very pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food excellent. Huge selection. Be careful when choosing great starters. You usually can't manage the main course. We'd love to go there again.

Das Essen war recht gut und reichhaltig - aber: Aufgepasst beim Bezahlen. Mir wurde ein völlig intransparenter Rechnungsbetrag zugerufen, den ich zunächst auch - mit Trinkgeld - bezahlte. Dann ließ ich mir die Rechnung ausdrucken, auf der nur die einzelnen Positionen erschienen, aber keine Gesamtsumme (!). Hier wollte man sich wohl die Pisa-Erfahrungen zunutze machen. Als ich monierte, dass die Summe zu hoch sei, gab es minutenlange Akitvitäten "hinter den Kulissen" begleitet von verschmitzten Sympathie-Kundgebungen eines Mitarbeiters an mich. Schließlich erstattete man mir den Betrag. Derartig unangenehme Erlebnisse suche ich nicht bei einem netten Abendessen.

Positive: + nice ambience and furnishings + Friendly and fast service + central location and parking spaces in front of the door in the “yard” + Good wine list with affordable wines + Bifteki filled with sheep's cheese was delicious Negative: - The chef had completely missed the cooking times for our dishes. The thin pork skewer and the chicken skewer were overcooked and dry, the pork skewer was dry and tough. The gyro was not fully cooked but partly undercooked and not crispy. (This can happen sometimes) - nice that there is a free ouzo to start with, but the quality of the ouzo was not good. Then it's better to leave it out instead of giving away a cheap ouzo to the guests - my main criticism goes to the starter (grilled pepperoni) In every Greek restaurant, finely chopped fresh garlic is served on the pepperoni. Instead of fresh chopped garlic, you stirred garlic granules into the oil. Sorry, that's completely dishonorable! Why do you do something like that? In Greece the chef would be chased away by the guests. Sorry, that doesn't work at all! Nevertheless, the store has potential if one or two tweaks are made.

We were there again today it was world class!!!!!The food and service were perfect. It's the best Greek in the area. Thank you very much for everything, we will definitely be back

Ein tolles Restaurant, mit spitzen Essen

Essen ist top, schöne Lokalität, nur die Toilette ist sehr lieblos. Es war sehr voll, da musste man sich anstrengen, die Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienungen zu erhalten. Zugang ist nicht ebenerdig, man muss ein paar Treppenstufen raufsteigen. Ob es einen Biergarten gibt, kann ich leider nicht sagen.

Sehr guter Grieche. Innenausstattung neu und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Essen gut und schneller Service.

Leckeres Essen zum ordentlichen Preis. Es ist oft voll und dann recht laut. Besonders lecker weil sehr kross gegrillt ist das Gyros, aber auch die gemischten Teller sind empfehlenswert. Die Garnelen auf dem gleichnamigen Teller haben eine unglaubliche Größe, auch als anderen Hauptgerichte sind mehr als reichlich. Zum November 2023 wurde die Innenausstattung komplett erneuert (was auch mal nötig war), jetzt gibt es auch 5* für das Ambiente.

Restaurante grego interessante próximo a Heidelberg. Atendimento bem humorado, boa comida. Voltaria, sem dúvida.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Dioni und fanden das Essen und den Service gut. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Leidder gibt es in kleineren Restaurants keine wirkliche Auswahl für glutenfreie Kost. Selbst glutenfreies Brot ist nicht zu finden. Ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Man kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Hier wird man sehr aufmerksam bedient, das Personal ist sehr nett! Das Essen schmeckt auch gut.

...leider ist der ursprüngliche Besitzer nicht mehr da...und nach meiner Meinung,ist das Essen schlechter geworden. Nun ja statt langer Worte...dem es schmeckt kann ja dahin gehen wir leider und das so ziemlich geschlossen...nicht mehr !

Das Essen wie immer sehr lecker Fleisch war von der Menge mir zuviel dagegen die Beilagen wie Salat, Pommes und Reis sind etwas klein ausgefallen. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Geräuschpegel an diesem Abend etwas laut.

Das "Dioni" ist ein wunderbarer Grieche, dem nur sehr wenig zur Perfektion fehlt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, dass Essen ist wunderbar und die Portionen gigantisch. Was eine absolute Empfehlung verdient, sind die traumhaften Zucchinichips. Das Zaziki könnte genau wie das Gyros eeetwas mehr Pfiff vertragen. Ansonsten 👍

Hi wir waren jetzt 4 mal da beim ersten mal war alles gut bei 3 mal unfassbar ich hatte eine Hähnchenbrustpfanne mit Metaxasauce mit Pommes Die Bilder sehen aber an das aus viel mehr auf dem Teller. 3 kleine Fleisch Stücke ein kleinen Teller mit 9 Pommes unfassbar wie ein Kinderteller. Ok aber beim letzten mal Das Brot bei meiner Vorspeise war nicht frisch peinlich für so ein Laden hab ich aber gesagt und er wir backen das Brot immer um 11uhr 😆 . Achtung Freunde ich hab mir was mit Fleisch bestellt und Pommes Ich dachte na komm würd schon gut gehen 1 Minuten später sage ich nee sorry ich will lieber schöne Bratkartoffeln ich frage noch SIND Die auch GUT ja ja ok machen wir so danke. Warte zeit 55 min der Laden war nicht voll da war ich schon leicht nervös 🥳 dann kommt das Essen meine Bratkartoffeln WAREN aus ein Beutel wie man ihn in der Metro bekommt ganz kleine Kartoffeln ohne Speck und Zwiebeln in der Mikrowelle erwärmt eine Verarschung ohne Ende und die Umbuchung von Pommes auf ihre super Bratkartoffeln 2 Euro. Da kann ich nur sagen nie mehr teuer und Kinder Portion ich wünsch euch viel Spaß wenn die 19% kommen dann werden die Portion noch teurer und noch kleiner liebe Grüße von mir Peer euch kann man nicht mehr empfehlen meine meinung sorry.

Große Portionen, viel Fleisch und freundliche Bedienung. Scheinbar gibt es immer einen Ouzo dazu, selbst bei Abholung. Das war eine nette Aufmerksamkeit. Der Preis ist etwas höher, was wahrscheinlich damit zu tun hat, dass so viel Fleisch serviert wird. Insgesamt sehr lecker und eine positive Erfahrung.

Essen war gut. Nur die Bedienung kam nicht vorbei um zu fragen ob man noch etwas möchte. Ich musste jedesmal zur Bedienung vor laufen um was zu bestellen.

Nicht mehr wirklich zu empfehlen, wir warteten, es war nicht sonderlich viel los, 2 Stunden auf das Essen. Dann kam es kalt. Service sehr freundlich.

Wie immer klasse zubereitete Leber und schönes Steak. Man kommt gerne her und der Geschmack und die Qualität bleiben gleich.

Immer wenn ich in Leimen bin, besuche ich dieses schöne griechische Restaurant. Es gibt einen schönen Terrassen Bereich. Schon bei der Getränkebestellung gab es ein ouzo dazu. das Essen war wie sonst auch sehr gut. Ich hatte zwei Vorspeisen, mein Mann das bifteki. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist iO. Wir kommen nä Woche wieder!
