The food was very good. Fresh and tasty. We would have preferred a more attentive server. Everything was clean, but the atmosphere was lacking.

I've been here many times. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, and the meat comes from a real charcoal grill. I'm always impressed. I could say that after every visit. I compare it to a vacation in Croatia, only without leaving. 😊

We booked the upstairs hall for a celebration. The space, the food, and the service were all top-notch. The restaurant owner was friendly and flexible in accommodating guests' requests. Overall, excellent!

Honestly, I don't understand the people who badmouth this place. I would demand defamation of reputation in the owner's interest and enforce it with a mandatory fine. The negative comments in the last three reviews are unfortunately fake. The customer was next to the table. The woman who's badmouthing the restaurant here has a completely different problem. Unfortunately, we heard everything she said to the waiter, and nothing good came out of her mouth. I would immediately ban the woman from the premises. The regulars have known what they have in this restaurant for 16 years.

If I could, I'd give it 0 stars. The salad was rotten and even had a hair in it. The restrooms smelled of mold. In the kitchen (which you can see through), I saw one of the waiters pick his nose and then continue to mess with the food.

Worst experience of my life: The restaurant looks well-kept at first glance, but a closer look reveals everything. The staff is incredibly unfriendly. The water is served with a lemon that tastes like it's been rotting there for months. The salad has brown spots and a strange texture. There was stubble in the food (probably from the chef in the kitchen). They need to send the public order office there.

Listen to all the bad reviews!!! The way the staff talks and treats you is the lowest of the low. One of the two waiters (with a bigger belly and no mole) is extremely insulting and abusive. He deletes reviews with constructive criticism, grabs random tips from the table, and claims he never took them. The currywurst is served without sauce (just ketchup and mayo 😂). The mayo is also charged extra. I once ordered a non-alcoholic beer and got one with alcohol instead. The cevapcici is frozen but sold as fresh. So, if I may give you one piece of advice: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS and report this place to the health department.

The "Croatian" restaurant near me, and I don't need any other. I've always been completely satisfied over the past few years. When I read some of the reviews here, I think: If you want Croatian food, you'll get it. If you want something different, just go somewhere else.

A hungry evening, the mood was good, I was looking for spice, meat, and embers. A Croatian inn, quite friendly and refined, I stopped in – that's how it should be. The menu was simple, but prepared in a typical Croatian style, I chose the goulash – classic, with a bang. It came with potatoes, just like grandma would have cooked them, my palate was happy, my stomach was listening. The plate arrived quickly, which was nice, but visually, there was still room for improvement. Not ugly, not great – simply served honestly, but a little more love would have almost decorated it. The goulash – oh yes – was tender and braised, not heavenly, but good, and without any detriment to good taste. It was warm and hearty, only a touch more spice would have enhanced the flavor. The potatoes – soft, round, and full, perhaps a little bland, but good indeed. A little more herbs, a drop of jus on top, then the flavor goes up a notch. The service was friendly, perhaps a little quiet, no big fuss – but exactly what I wanted. You were noticed, but never overwhelmed, a touch of Croatian hospitality. The atmosphere in the room was cozy and simple, no pomp, no ostentation, but there's nothing to be ashamed of. You felt at home, even without much show – a down-to-earth gastronomic pro.

We came here with a group for a snack. The tables were nicely set, and the half rolls were deliciously filled. The service was exceptionally attentive. We lost points for the asparagus soup served. It contained more soup than asparagus, and I think that's why it tasted a bit bland.

The service wasn't particularly good; the waiter was very surprised that you could only order a beer. My girlfriend and I just wanted to sit down and enjoy a drink, but unfortunately, they didn't have any cocktails. The snails were rather mediocre. I drank a beer and waited 30 minutes for the waiter. Luckily, I didn't try any of the other dishes.

But if you know the cuisine from Split, you know what I mean: The Cevapcici are homemade and absolutely delicious, the grill plate is lavishly filled and the obligatory Wiener Schnitzel is great! So where do I start...the menu doesn't offer much of a selection. Unfortunately, lamb fillet with potatoes and beans is not recommended because the cook doesn't know medium and there is no exchange here. The Mirko strips were not a piece as you know it and were very dry. Potatoes and beans were ok Classic mutton for me because the meat was cut against the grain. Letting the entire lamb go back but no one was interested. Once and never again... everything that was said was understood😬🫡

Had a funeral service yesterday. Tables were nicely set, the waiters were very friendly, but the female service was absolutely wrong. She took away the plate of bread rolls even though we were still sitting at the table. When I asked why she did that, the answer came back: it was packed for the host... well that was me, among other things... You had the feeling of being transported out. Unfortunately you could only book the overall package offered. 22.50 per person...that means my 1 1/2 rolls and 2 cups of coffee were a luxury. Me and my family will never enter the restaurant again. I didn't forget the soup, tea and the discount cake...or do you have to eat everything...Unfortunately I wasn't there when I ordered, otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. The way you answer or react doesn't show intelligence either

A very good Croatian restaurant with large portions. The beautiful ambience is suitable for every kind of celebration. Good parking, which is also very important. I think the prices are a little high. But that is always in the eye of the beholder. Still recommended!

My family and I eat there very often. The food has become more expensive, but that's normal. We ate there twice this week. The second time I visited, the fries were missing and the waiter didn't even apologize. He just said I would get them a little later, I was almost finished with my meal when the fries came. OK, I can live with that, but today the rudeness went too far for me. We got the menu and I ordered three drinks. The waiter said I would have to wait, the tone wasn't that friendly. When I saw that he served guests who came after us first, I thought it was very cheeky. OK, I thought to myself, don't say anything. We then got our drinks, but we told the waiter 3 times that we would like a straw and he forgot it each time. I then asked him about it and told him that I found it impossible. The waiter became very loud and unfriendly, I only held back because my daughter was with me. He was completely out of control and said we could leave the restaurant. As I said, I was just being considerate of my daughter. So I will never go there again. Actually, the customer is king, but unfortunately not in this restaurant. Let's see what the boss writes now. But I don't have to yell at anyone. Unfortunately, 1 star is too many, but there is no other way.

One of the most beautiful places that I love

I ate there on a holiday with my parents, very classic Yugo dishes, Chevapchichi with rice, hot onions. Very tasty, the Chevapchichi were grilled, great meat, very aromatic grill flavor, exactly to the point, and there was another one too Side dishes salad.The service was quick, and polite, simply professional, Went home full and happy for a nap. We went here for the first time today based on a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The food was top, as was the service. Everyone was very, very friendly and accommodating. We had our dog with us and couldn't go in with him, but that wasn't a bad thing because we could sit comfortably on the terrace with the sun. Of course they also brought water for our dog. The bottom line is that we would love to come back.

The service was tried hard. When there was a complaint about the dry meat, it was said that the dish should have been removed from the menu a long time ago because there were frequent complaints... Why isn't action being taken? It's a shame. However, the trout was tasty.

The meat is great grilled :) but the Djuvec rice was a complete disappointment, that was just rice with tomato paste? No vegetables, not a bit seasoned, why? This can be done better, please try to improve it there. The service is nice and attentive.

We were refused entry into the restaurant with our dog today. We have been regular guests with dogs for over 10 years Eating outside with your dog... might still be okay in the summer, but now it's too cool. We are very disappointed. This could have been pointed out when making the reservation. The reasons why this is the case recently were also very flimsy... there would have been complaints... my dog ​​was praised by the staff because he couldn't be seen or heard. It was tasty but very expensive. Due to the proximity to the cemetery, the food has its price.

We had a family celebration a week ago. Which we had booked weeks before, including the room above the restaurant. The room is very nice, but we would have been happy with a few flowers and candles like down in the restaurant. The food was very good and plentiful, several special plates on warming warmers. The desserts were also very good. And now comes the big BUT: The motivation and friendliness of the boss (junior boss?) left a lot to be desired. However, the other two service staff fully compensated for this. Very friendly and fully fulfilled all wishes. When we wanted to pay the bill they said: Only cash payment is accepted. Guys, is it still okay? Who would take so much cash with them to a larger celebration? That was a very unpleasant end to the evening as there was an argument because of it. Strangely enough, card payments were accepted.

We had a small family celebration yesterday. We reserved the table about three weeks ago. The food was very tasty and very filling. The waiting times were also short. The service staff were all attentive and very friendly. We'd love to come back. The food was very good there, it's just a shame if you can't pre-book the table by phone and you can't pre-book the table via the internet or a few emails.

Ordered food today, my husband's food was perfect, and my food was carelessly prepared, the meat was extremely tough to chew and you could tell that someone didn't feel like it, peppers were cut into large bars instead of the usual strips and that Rice wasn't really seasoned except that it was spicy, the food had no taste. Instead of offering something else, they said Wednesday you can talk to the boss, today is Monday, well we'll just go to bed hungry. In addition to the owner's comment: I wasn't offered anything, but I would be happy to talk to the managing director on Wednesday!!!! This is an insinuation!!!!!! And for that I gave a tip of 4.50 and I feel ripped off!!!!!

In the “Restaurant Dioklecijan Split” guests are treated to authentic Croatian cuisine. The dishes deserve five stars, while the service is friendly but could do with a bit more personality, resulting in a four star rating. Our wishes were easily addressed. The ambience is inviting but not outstanding, and therefore deserves three stars. Overall, the restaurant offers a solid and tasty culinary experience for lovers of Croatian cuisine.

Food and drinks weren't served to everyone at the same time and the food was cold. Spinach was a mushy mess and there was something hard to bite into that couldn't be defined. Potato wasn't completely cooked and there were a lot of large and small bones in the salmon fillet. I don't know what the orange slice was doing there. The dishes looked like the menu, as if they hadn't come out of the 1980's. I thought dessert might improve my mood, definitely not! Ordered banana split without cream, then it came with cream, which I commented on and the waitress was outraged at my objection that I ordered without it. Got the same portion back, not very friendly, where you could still see cream residue from the scraping and a little more chocolate sauce as before. If I hadn't been invited, I would have left the restaurant very quickly. I stayed there just out of politeness for the host's sake. Conclusion: Wasted time and not worth the money. And nobody needs rude staff. And the night after that the food went up the elevator. So, if you want quality, go somewhere else
