Food great. Try the fried pepperoni! The ambience could be nicer, but you mainly go there to eat.

I was there with my father, who uses a wheelchair. Unfortunately there is no barrier-free access. A normal height and a flatter staircase lead to the entrance. From there it continues barrier-free. At my request, a young service worker came and helped my father, on my instructions, to take the two steps up (and later down again) while my cousin pushed the wheelchair up and down. The service in the restaurant was quick and courteous. The obligatory ouzo was plentiful. The food tasted good and it was easy to fill up. There's even an ice cream menu! The toilets, which my father fortunately didn't have to use, lead down a small step and are otherwise neither wheelchair nor walker accessible. The helpfulness of the staff makes up for a lot, but the rooms are not handicapped accessible.

We've been there for the second time now and it was really delicious again. Beforehand there is a delicious salad and an ouzo, and for children a children's schnapps. I find it really sweet. Our food arrived hot and everything was very tasty. The waiter was very attentive and kept checking on his guests. Prices are OK. Toilet is also clean. The only thing that bothered me a little was that I found it a bit cold in the restaurant, you could turn the heating up very slowly ;) We really enjoy going there and are very satisfied, thank you for a delicious evening.

Bright, friendly, inviting restaurant. Very well attended, satisfied guests, great atmosphere. Table reserved for the next day. Not as many guests as in the evening, staff very organized, not intrusive.

Unfortunately the food was terrible. There were several bone splinters in the Bifteki, you couldn't eat them! Gyros were very sinewy and unfortunately not edible. This time the service left a lot to be desired, we waited 35 minutes for the bill before we paid at the counter. When we mentioned that we were unfortunately not at all satisfied with the food, for the reasons mentioned above, this was politely ignored... We also decided not to have any leftover food packed. (The question could have been saved, because if it wasn't edible there, the home won't change...) It was our last visit there.

Addendum from August 31, 2024!!!!! Our experience... We spontaneously drove to the Deja restaurant on August 31, 2024 to pick up food. Unfortunately, we didn't order in advance because we thought that the restaurant had the situation under control in all situations and were very flexible. No sooner said than done, we can see that the restaurant was very full, which is completely fine, but then you have to wait longer for your food, which wasn't a problem for us with so many guests! We went to the counter and wanted to order, when someone called out to us, "Have you made a reservation?" We said no, then we said we would like to have food to take away, and they said straight away, without any sensitivity, "The kitchen has no reservations due to the whole thing Guests no longer have capacity and they are no longer taking orders, we're sorry, they have to leave or come back later" We said what time approximately.....?? The answer: "I can't say, maybe from 8:30 p.m."! We left the restaurant and thought about what to do... A short time later my wife returned to the restaurant and wanted to take advantage of the time for 8:30 p.m. The nice other waiter took the order and went into the kitchen, the boss came out again and said in a not so great tone and stressed, "There's nothing left to take away today" my wife thought to herself, what now? ? Well, my wife was promptly left behind (as a regular guest)! !!The whole thing isn't a problem for us at all with the full restaurant and the longer waiting times, that's just how it is when you want to eat out or bring food home!! What bothered us as regular guests in this restaurant was the interaction and the sensitivity for regular guests was completely missing. Of course, you can also scare away your regular customers! We personally find the entire behavior unusual for this restaurant and have gotten to know a new side, which is a shame. We would have liked to come back at a later date, no question about it and our understanding of the situation that day was very great, but the way we dealt with it is still very sad 😢!!!!!! Service and food were all great! Portions great! We'll be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Positive addendum on March 8, 2024 Called and pre-ordered for pickup at a specific time. Everything went very well and all special requests were implemented very well. The food was ready at the specified time and we were able to go straight home. Arrived home, unpacked quickly and there is nothing nicer when the food is still steaming when unpacked 🙂. Everything is packaged great 👍. We always like to come to the restaurant to eat or now also to take away... What sets DEJA apart is that the portions are very large and the price is right. Stay as you are and don't do it like the others, make more money and spend less. I think that I speak in a positive way for many visitors 🙂. Thanks also go to the kitchen staff who manage to conjure up such good food and decorate it beautifully on the plate. Top performance 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The portions are very large. I had oven-baked gyros with eggplant and sheep's cheese gratinated. Too strongly seasoned for my taste.

We tried the DEJA in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and were completely impressed. The food was good, there is an attractive selection of Greek dishes and the portions were large. Especially when it came to the starters, we were surprised by the quantity but also the class. The service was friendly and attentive and the obligatory ouzo is also served here. Even more than one! Top recommendation, we would love to come back.

Jedes Gericht war sehr lecker. Das Fleisch ist sehr zart und nicht trocken. Wir kommen immer wieder gern hierher.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Und obwohl das Lokal voll war und wir mit 13 Leuten, ging es sehr schnell.

Wir waren dort mit der Familie zum Abendessen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und der Service war aufmerksam. Alle Gerichte haben gut geschmeckt und gab einen Apperititv. Ein gelungener Abend.

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen, fand das Essen echt schlecht. Wir waren heute mit der ganzen Familie dort essen aber so schlecht habe ich seit Jahren in Salzgitter nicht gegessen. Zudem müssen Pommes oder Kroketten bei jedem Gericht für 5€ dazu bestellt werden. Wir gehen lieber wieder zu Montenegro ,für uns das Beste Restaurant in Salzgitter

Restaurant empfehlenswert mit sehr leckeren Fleischgerichten.Wir waren mit 7 Personen dort.Das Fleisch schön zart gegrillt und die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen ist echt der Hammer! Der Tisch vorn an der Tür ist allerdings nicht empfehlenswert,da es ständig zieht wenn die Haupttür auf und zu geht. Ouzo gibt es nicht nur einen und man fühlt sich gut willkommen. Leider roch es bei der Garderobe stark nach Abfluss,da sich die Toilette in unmittelbarer Nähe befindet. Am Tisch war jedoch nichts zu riechen. Die Enttäuschung war leider der Nachtisch, da wir uns explizit auf ein richtiges griechisches Dessert gefreut hatten,hier wurde auf die Eiskarte verwiesen,daher stimmte für mich persönlich das kulinarische Gesamte nicht und würde mir eine kleine Auswahl an griechischen Desserts wünsche. Wenn ich Eis essen will,gehe ich woanders hin. Der Service war Anfangs ok, schien dann aber nach einiger Zeit etwas genervt zu sein. Guckte dann später überall umher,aber nicht mehr zu unserem Tisch. Da nach dem abräumen eine halbe Stunde später niemand mehr kam, mussten wir tatsächlich nach zum Tresen gehen und dort bezahlen,sorry aber das geht leider nicht. Der Preis für 3 Personen 105 Euro absolut in Ordnung!Eigentlich hat es nur an Kleinigkeiten gelegen,die ertwas zu wünschen übrig gelassen haben. Trotzdem Hauptgericht und Vorspeise super,der Rest ausbaufähig. Wir würden nochmal wieder kommen und dem Restaurant eine zweite Chance geben.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie dort. Ein angenehmes Ambiente, die Menschen, die für den Service sorgen, sind sehr nett und das Essen war suuuuuper lecker. Es hat uns allen sehr gefallen. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr leckere griechische Gerichte. Zügige und aufmerksame Bedienung. Portionen sind großzügig und haben ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Ouzo danach gehört selbstverständlich dazu👍🏻
