A very cozy restaurant that impresses with its architecture. A beautiful outdoor area that leaves nothing to be desired. The prices are not exactly low but the food is consistently very tasty. The portions could be a little larger, but it's within reason. All in all very satisfactory.

Spontaneous Saturday afternoon, very dangerous, we still got a spot. Ambience super awesome, beautiful rustic log cabin with great outdoor area including pond. Food is as delicious as it looks and with extra extra garlic if requested. Currently there is homemade iced tea L. Brilliant, and above all there is "Don't cry rum" an absolutely brilliant rum from the region

One thing in advance: order a table. The restaurant is always very busy. The food is tasty and the portions are filling. If you love garlic, you should order the offer here. For those who can handle garlic to some extent, have your dish without it! The ambience is very appealing due to the log cabin. I can imagine it being very comfortable here in winter. The service is extremely nice and also explains the offers on the menu.

Went there on Sunday for lunch around 12 p.m. and got a table straight away. The waiters were super friendly and the food was really tasty. Went there for the first time and were attracted by the ambience. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back a second time.

Dear Garlic House, Simply great. We spontaneously called two hours in advance and got a table for two.🤩 When we arrived we were very impressed by the wooden house and the ambience. The background noise was a bit loud, but what do you want to do when business is booming doesn't stop you from lingering. The service was super friendly and the service was quick. The food was great, we both had steak medium and it was just a feast. We'll come back in winter because the fireplace makes it cozy and warm.🤩 We will be back.

Service only upon request after a 15 minute wait. Friendly staff. Service processes are obviously not routine. Small portions...the question of value for money arises. Food is a matter of taste, for me it was mediocre at best. Sauce didn't deserve its name, rosemary potatoes were partly black and the sirloin steak was still very bloody. If you're a garlic fan, you should definitely go if you're in the area. Nice ambience and the service is fine. There is a slight point deduction for the food, the vegetables had different cooking levels and for the price I expect a slightly different quality of meat. Overall, however, everything tasted good.

We stopped here during a trip to Lake Mellensee. It wasn't very crowded for a Sunday, but we still made a reservation. The service was very friendly and quick, the food was good, the menu was said to have been larger in the past, but the offering is completely sufficient. The food was first class delicious! We were therefore there on two consecutive days. However, the service was noticeably different from one day to the next. On day 1 we received perfectly competent service from the male employees. Day 2, however, was disappointing. I have never seen such a listless looking employee! We had to wait a long time before anyone came; Meanwhile, the lady was comfortably engrossed in her smartphone behind the counter. The other lady also seemed a little overwhelmed. It was also noticeable that the men were all wearing neat uniforms; But the ladies don't. With all due respect: in a restaurant with such good cuisine, you shouldn't look annoyed and shuffle around between the tables. Unfortunately, this spoiled what was otherwise an exceptionally good impression. The general atmosphere is wonderfully rustic.

I feel the need to express my enthusiasm about this restoration in this forum. Over the years, we as a family have visited the attic from time to time. Without exception completely satisfied. The staff always serve you courteously without being intrusive, and the preparations in the kitchen are always excellent. Today I had the opportunity to say thank you to the chef personally. The waiter who served us today (11.05.24 around 3:00 p.m./4:00 p.m.) carefully and obviously enjoyed his work guided us in the "right" direction on the map. Lamb steak with shallots tossed in port wine, tzatziki and rosemary potatoes, the same with Argentinian sirloin steak and beforehand the garlic soup, which was definitely not to be missed, were served. A pleasure! To put it briefly, it couldn't be better. We wish the roof truss team to successfully navigate the difficulties of the current difficult gastronomy times and to continue to enjoy both the food and the atmosphere in the future. Now enough of the box sentences.👍😉

What was happening there? After a successful visit to dog school and a subsequent hike, we wanted to fortify ourselves and found the “Dachstuhl” restaurant using maps. The smell of garlic that was already noticeable outside the door promised a lot, as did the wonderful interior design of the house in a rustic wooden ambience with a flickering fireplace. It was noticeable that the service staff talked to each other about guests who complained about their food and returned it. Also somewhat unusual is the openly displayed humor, comparable to the jargon on construction sites, lewd and equally inappropriate. Because ideally guests are left out of this. In any case, the (garlic) soup was cold and tasted like the (garlic) sauce that was poured quite undecoratively over the completely cooked rump steak (medium rare was ordered) during the main course. When asked by the cellar, I politely explained the shortcomings of what was offered: a shrug and bill followed. Maybe in the summer you can enjoy a few pilsners in the garden, but we certainly won't be eating here anymore.

Once again we spontaneously came to the Dachstuhl restaurant and were very positively impressed. Friendly staff, ordering the food went quickly and the waiting time until the food was on the table was short compared to other restaurants. Overall the food was very tasty. Since I have an irritable bowel syndrome, a herbal liqueur was recommended to me, which I can recommend with a clear conscience, it was very tasty 😋 We will certainly come back soon. 👍👏

Absolute favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always delicious without exception. Nowadays you can't get a table without a reservation. Definitely speaks for the store. I have never tasted such delicious garlic sauce anywhere. And because it's so delicious, I always have the same thing. The staff is really super friendly, although you have to get along with the humor of the older waiter (I think a Greek). We like it :) From time to time there is also live music. It sounds really nice in the big wooden house and the distance above. The house cat can also be seen occasionally. In summer it is super nice and quiet in the garden outside. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. Current status April 13, 2024 Unfortunately I have to correct my stars. I have no idea what happened there, but a lot of things have changed for the worse, from the service to the food. There were only 2 tables occupied and we were still ignored. When we spoke up, the communication with us was really exaggerated and artificial. The bread was hard (was taken back with a roll of my eyes) and favorite dishes were completely missing from the previously perfect menu (tastes are different) From a favorite restaurant (for 6 years) to never being seen again! Very unfortunate!!!

The restaurant looks like an oversized log cabin. We found it very comfortable. The food was really delicious. (Almost) all dishes are also available with garlic. We'll definitely go there again.

We had a very nice Women's Day evening there. The service is very attentive, super friendly and accommodating😊. The food selection was great. There is a large selection of different dishes, also for vegetarians😉. The portion sizes were decent👍🏻. Price-performance is also right. In any case, I will come back🙏☺️.

In short: simply brilliant. The wooden house just looks really good, the fireplace inside also makes it really cozy. The staff is super friendly and relaxed, even on big fight days. And the food is also really tasty and beautifully presented. Only recommended. We will definitely come here more often.

The location was nicely decorated. The service was fine and so was the food. The idea is interesting, but I wouldn't eat here again. My pasta was very "dry" and the pesto was spread very generously on it and very oily. The prices here are relatively high and I didn't find the price-performance ratio to be entirely adequate.

Clocky/rustic ambience in a large log house. The restaurant is also often referred to as the garlic house and honors this name with delicious garlic dishes. I've definitely been there a good 10 times and will come back.

Even though we hadn't made a reservation and arrived at peak meal time, we were kindly asked to wait a short time and then come to the table. That's what I call service. The food was also very tasty. A lot of knowledge, but you'll be asked beforehand.

Uriges Restaurant in Mellensee. Das Blockhaus bietet auf zwei Ebenen Plätze. Die mediteran angehauchte Küche bietet viel Auswahl bei moderster Preisgestaltung. Keine Schnäppchen, aber auch nicht überteuert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und lässt den Gast nicht lange warten. Lediglich am Parkplatz müsste man etwas machen. Ein paar Lampen mehr und schon gäbe es weniger Stolperstellen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich, gerade am Wochenende sollte man reservieren.

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente, nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen mit viel Knoblauch (wenn man will). Wir kommen gern wieder, vielleicht auch mal im Sommer, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzen kann

Waren Neujahr hier und es war wieder sehr schön und lecker hier. Aber ein Stern Abzug, weil wir lange auf das Essen warten mussten. Kommen aber gerne wieder!!!

Nie wieder !! Wir waren schon sehr oft dort und es wurde leider immer schlimmer. Heute war das der absolute Höhepunkt im negativen Sinne. Das Restaurant war absolut nicht voll, aber sie haben es nicht hinbekommen. Wo ist der Service von damals? Wieso muss ich 20 Minuten warten bis überhaupt mal jemand kommt. Ende vom Lied war es, meine Frau hatte kein Essen bekommen (Die Nudeln waren leer, die Info kam dann parallel zu meinen Hauptgang, dr übrigens Kalt war) ich muss dazu sagen, wir haben ca 1,40 h bis zum Essen gewartet. Ganz schwach geworden. In diesem Sinne, Dachstuhl nie wieder!!! Zumal die Preise mittlerweile eine Frechheit sind. Viel Spass ab Januar wenn die Mehrwertsteuer wieder hoch geht!!!

Hervorragendes Restaurant mit urigem Charm! Wir waren nach längerer Zeit mal wieder im Restaurant anlässlich einer Geburtstagsfeuer mit 13 Personen. Ohne Reservierung wird es hier schwierig am Wochenende. Der Service war sehr gut und hilfsbereit. Viele hatten auch eine Änderung zur Karte im Menu- war alles möglich. Die Speisen wurden alle frisch zubereitet und jeweils ein Geschmackerlebnis. In dieser tollen Atmosphäre haben wir schöne Stunden verbracht. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Wieder einmal ein gelungendes Abendessen, alles auf dem Punkt, alles lecker. Mit dem Kamin noch ein dickes Ambiente Pluspunkte. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir haben einen Tisch reserviert. Das Restaurant sieht richtig gut aus! Vor dem Essen bekommt man ein Brot serviert und das ist richtig lecker! Die Hauptspeise war auch sehr gut, hätte aber etwas heißer sein können. Aber sonst gibt es bei den Speisen nichts zu bemängeln. Auch die Nachspeisen sind richtig gut! Man sollte nur die Rechnung genauer ansehen! Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen, wir waren eine größere Gruppe und das Essen war perfekt getimet. Personal sehr freundlich und das Ambiente spricht für sich.

Das Essen war insgesamt sehr lecker. Die Knoblauchsuppe als Vorspeise ist kaum zu toppen. Der Lachs war perfekt zubereitet, Allerdings wurde das Essen von meinen Begleitungen weniger als lauwarm serviert. Ich denke, das geht besser.

Ein sehr ansprechendes Ambiente. Urig und dennoch sehr stilvoll. Das Hauptthema auf der Speisekarte ist ganz klar Knoblauch 😍. Trotzdem kann man auch essen ohne Knoblauch bestellen. Die Karte ist gut geordnet und es ist für jeden etwas dabei . Der Service ist sehr gut. Genau richtigen Menge an Disziplin und Humor wie es sich in einer Gastwirtschaft gehört. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wirklich mit gutem Gewissen jedem empfehlen der gutes Essen schätzt in gemütlicher Atmosphäre mit nettem Servic🫡
