Restaurant Bürgerstuben in Wickede (Ruhr)

The ambiance isn't so nice, unfortunately, but that's the fault of the institution itself... the community center. The food, however, was a wonderful surprise! I had fresh grilled sea bream. REALLY fresh and superbly prepared! With leaf spinach... it was so deliciously seasoned, I could have eaten twice the portion. My sweetheart had a perfectly prepared rump steak. And a good glass of wine... we'll be back! But the loud local politicians who brazenly stormed the community center restaurant with 34 people (!) can stay away. That wasn't fair to the restaurateurs and guests!

1 star - Never again! Absolutely unacceptable. If I could give zero, I would! We sat in this "restaurant" for over two hours and were ignored the entire time. First, we weren't even asked what we wanted to order until much later – even though several tables arrived after us and were served immediately. Then we were repeatedly promised that our food would come next – but again: nothing happened. Gradually, all the other guests – including five tables that arrived significantly after us – were served while we continued to wait. And all this was done with the excuse that it was "busy" – there were only two people inside! In the end, we simply left without food and without a sincere apology. The way they treat guests is a disgrace. If you want to be treated disrespectfully, this is the place for you. For everyone else: stay away!

Good pizza and pasta dishes. You can also get excellent food and drinks on site. Quite cozy. Highly recommended.

I can recommend everyone to eat at this restaurant. The food is delicious, tasty, and reasonably priced.

Now almost everyone has their own favorite dish in the Bürgerstuben. But recently I ordered the sea bream for the first time and was absolutely thrilled. We like coming here because you are always welcome as a guest. The ambience is perhaps a bit old, but it is actually very comfortable. Unfortunately I have to add a point because the service has recently deteriorated. Unfortunately, we have often experienced that we, as guests, had to wait exceptionally long times on site. Of course, something like this happens in every restaurant, but when we asked about it, we were insulted and bombarded with excuses. During the two hour wait, we only had the chance to order drinks once and had to watch several times from our seats as orders were sent out 'to go', which were ordered after our meal. Unfortunately, you have lost us as regular customers for the time being.

We always enjoy going there, whether with family, friends or as a couple. The food is really good and freshly prepared. Renovating the premises would make sense, but that is the landlord's responsibility. We always enjoy going there and often order take-away meals.

We were here again today and, as always, it was a great evening with perfect food. The team and service is absolutely top and we really recommend it. See you soon.

I really enjoy eating schnitzel, and I can say: in the Bürgerstuben the schnitzel is not only really big, it also tastes fantastic! Then add the pepper sauce...a dream. I'm so happy every time the plate is in front of me... Definitely recommended! The staff is very nice, the service is quick....we are there often.....😃

The Bürgerstuben in Wickede / Ruhr are currently being renovated. There are several tables outside. Service is sometimes too slow, but very friendly. My meal was delicious, my girlfriend had a meal that was lukewarm and too salty.. For this reason only 3 stars. Maybe it will be better after the renovation/remodeling...

An Italian restaurant as you wish!! We've been looking for a place for a long time where you can simply eat good Italian food! We found it with the Bürgerstuben :). Great service, great food - always worth a visit!

The food is great! No question - the boss is unprofessional to the high 10! From the customer's point of view, he shouts at his employees for no reason... The staff is shouted at in the kitchen so that the customers can't miss it! The mood is therefore very sad and you don't feel well. On a positive note, the other employees remain calm and are always friendly to customers. I won't eat here again until the boss changes! If you're angry because you have to serve your customers yourself, you don't need customers! Something is definitely wrong here.

Always very tasty food and the bowling alley is also a real plus, I'm looking forward to it being finished again. The restaurant's furnishings are getting a bit old, but it would certainly have been better attended if the atmosphere had been nicer. Staff always friendly!

The food is incredibly delicious. In my opinion there is too much choice but for those who like it there is something for everyone. In terms of design, it's rather old-fashioned (that doesn't bother me personally) but it doesn't have much flair. But the value for money is great and we will definitely be back

Highly recommended, menu, food, service, are very consistent and guarantee a return, prices are more than fair. Steak and Co outside of pizza and pasta are excellent. The beer garden is great and almost directly on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path. We always like to come back.

The food is excellent, served quite quickly and is always plentiful! The service is very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is rustic, a bit dated, but somehow cozy. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible, but apart from that, the Bürgerstube is absolutely recommended!

Just super delicious! Meat, pasta or pizza dishes are all really good. There are also nice owners and nice waitresses.

Bin sehr oft dort, wenn ich mal sehr gut bürgerlich Essen möchte! Und der Service ist immer top!

Fantastische Küche mit leckeren Speisen. Eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Karte, z.Z. ist die Pilzkarte sehr zu empfehlen! Auch zwischen den Jahren kommt dort kein Stress auf, die Bedingung ist sehr aufmerksam und auch das Essen wird frisch und schnell zubereitet.

Sehr netter Service. Essen war gut und reichlich. Das Gebäude ist gerade im Umbau..... die Deckenverkleidung hat teils Löcher.... Der Lärmpegel war recht hoch. Die Unterhaltung war manchmal nur schwer möglich...

Tolle Weihnachtsfeier mit sehr gutem Service und klasse Essen. Das Rumpsteak war mega.

Essen bei schönen Wetter auf der Terrasse. Super Bedienung, leckeres Essen, ein wirklich toller Abend .

Super liebe Wirtsleute, einen sehr schönen Außenbereich und das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Ich hatte Pfifferling Bandnudeln und mein Mann Saltinboca Limone . Nächstes mal probieren wir die Pizza.

Wir waren soeben im Restaurant Bürger Stuben essen. Das Schnitzel war erstklassig, die Beilagen sehr lecker. Es waren richtig gute Portionen. Der Chef erkundigt sich persönlich nach dem Wohlergehen der Kunden. Der Service war extrem aufmerksam, freundlich und höflich. Danke für den schönen Abend bei Ihnen.

Beim ersten Besuch vor 1 Jahr Spitze! Dieses mal leider ziemlich enttäuschend, Rinderfilet fast roh, zäh, Gargrad wurde nicht abgefragt usw.

Wir waren von unseren Betrieb aus mit 10 Personen zum essen. Alle Essen kamen gleichzeitig und waren von sehr guter Qualität und Menge. Sehr guter Service,freundlich aufmerksam und als letzte Gäste hatte man nicht das Gefühl (die schon nichts mehr verzehren) hoffendlich gehen die langsam mal. Kann ich jedenfalls empfehlen.

Für einen kleinen Ausflug mit Mittagessen fuhren wir Richtung Sauerland. Das einzige Lokal, das uns annehmbar erschien, waren die Bürgerstuben! Und wir waren positiv vom Essen und dem Service überrascht! Ein italienisches Lokal, mit typischer Pizza, Pasta etc. Karte! Zusätzlich 1 Seite Aktuelle Gerichte und …… Muscheln…. Mit 4 verschiedenen Saucen/Sud….. ich hatte ein Pizza, gut, aber die Muscheln in Weißwein gegart! Extrem gut. Und danach gabs noch Espresso aufs Haus! Empfehlenswert

Müsste mal dringend saniert werden, leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich, wo gibt es das heute noch?

Tolles Restaurant. Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war top! Hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Fast eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Wollten schon die Getränke bezahlen und gehen. Lauwarmes Essen wurde gereicht. Chef des Hauses kam schrie uns in völlig inakzeptabler und überforderter Weise vor allen Gästen an. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Chef schrie aufgebracht, andere Gäste würden schon seit 1 1/2 Sunden warten. Ich sollte doch besser zu McDonald’s gehen und diese Wartezeit wäre bei der Vielzahl an Gästen normal. Wenn ich nicht zahlen würde, würde er die Polizei rufen. Da meine Mutter mich zu diesem Abendessen einladen wollte und eine ältere Dame ist und diese Situation für sie unerträglich war, habe ich das Essen letztendlich trotz Schreierei bezahlt. Gesamtbeurteilung… Wer lange warten möchte, zwar freundliches Personal aber einen völlig überforderten schreienden Chef bei lauwarmen Essen genießen möchte, ist dort richtig.

Mehrfach dieses intalienische Resaurant besucht. Tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Empfehlung: Schnecken nach Art des Chefes und Pizza Diavolo.

An einem Samstagabend im Oktober 2017 wurde der Besuch der Bürgerstube in Wickede für uns zu einer großen Enttäuschung. Die Bürgerstube, war trotz früher Stunde relativ gut besucht. Der erste Eindruck war neutral. Aber dann..... Die beiden Servicedamen "konnten nicht sprechen". Der "Oberkellner" wohl Mitinhaber, wirkte in seinem Tun sehr fahrig und konnte auch keine Gastlichkeit vermitteln. Das Essen ( gegrillter Lachs) sowie ein nicht erkannbares ca. zwei Zentimeter dünnes Stück Steak, das dünnster Sauce " schwamm, dazu wurde Salat serviert welcher optisch und geschmacklich nichts in einem Restaurant serviert werden sollte. Wir waren zu 100% enttäuscht!! Nicht empfehlenswert.

ABSOLUT Klasse Sehr gute Italienische Küche. Wunderbares Ambiente. Preis Leistung ist Spitze. Wir gehen gerne dort hin.

Aufmerksamer Chef, der die Bürgerstuben als italienisches Restaurant führt, selber aber Kroate ist, mein Steak war der Hammer. Die Minestrone, die ich bei jedem Italiener esse, so wie sie sein soll, denn am einfachen Menu erkennt man die Liebe zum Detail.... Wenn ich nochmal hierher komme, probiere ich das nächste Steak auf der Karte.

also zunächst waren wir nicht sicher ob es ein gutes Restaurant ist! Aber dann!! Es gibt eine ausgezeichnete Karte! Alle Essen auch wenn völlig unterschiedlich sind tatsächlich in bester Quallität!
