Bei schönem Wetter sitzt man direkt am Altrhein. Restaurant bietet auch einen Mittagstisch an.

Ein echter Geheimtipp, da es schon ein bisschen versteckt ist. Sehr schön gelegen, gutes Essen, sehr netter Service. Das Essen war auch schnell da, trotz größerer Gruppe im Saal.

Sehr lecker! Waren heute das erste Mal da und waren positiv überrascht. Sehr leckeres und frisches Essen, super freundliche Bedienung.

Das Restaurant, die schöne Atmosphäre, das leckere Essen, das selbstgemachte Eis und die herzliche Familie, die den Familienbetrieb mit viel Leidenschaft führt, all das zusammen macht jeden Besuch zu einem tollen Erlebnis. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und fühlen uns jedes Mal rundum wohl.

Ich bin immer wieder gerne im Restaurant Bootshaus Fuchsbau, ich finde es einfach toll im Sommer auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und den Abend mit meiner Familie ausklingen zu lassen bei guten Essen und Getränken

Wenn es nur nach dem Blick gehen würde, sicherlich 5 Sterne. Auch Portionen sind absolut in Ordnung, geschmacklich wie halt jeder Kroate in der Region, flexibel bei der Bestellung, auch nett und kommunikativ. Preislich war es aber schon etwas gehoben, € 97,50 für 2x Schafskäse, günstigste Platte für 2 Personen (Tausch Leber gegen Cevapcici), 4 Bier, 2 Schnaps - ja die Kosten (Strom/Gas) sind überall gestiegen, hier finde ich das neue sympathische junge Team etwas zu teuer für dieses bodenständige Standardessen. Nichts für Ungut, hier ist noch Luft nach oben - ich glaube da ist Potential vorhanden. Und ja satt sind wir geworden und haben noch was mitgenommen. Leider nichts besonders! Und nen Schnaps auf´s Haus gab es leider auch nicht.

Super Leckeres Balkan Essen , Cevapcici Pjeskavica und die Schnitzel sehr lecker und das Mango - Maracuja sorbet war klasse super fruchtig und nicht zu süß 😋 Eine Empfehlung wert ! Bis zum nächsten Mal 😄

Essen und Service ist sehr zu empfehlen ! Ambiente ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen darum 1 Stern Abzug aber das isst man ja nicht mit 😜.

Wir waren heute dass erste und um es vorweg zu nehmen mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal da. Das schöne und liebevoll dekorierte Restaurant liegt idyllisch am Altrhein und verfügt auch über eine große, überdachte Terrasse mit vielen Sitzplätzen. Die Auswahl an deutschen und kroatischen Speisen ist groß - aber nicht zu groß, die Qualität des Essens (wir hatten sowohl deutsche als auch kroatische Gerichte) war hervorragend. Die Nachspeisen, ein Mangosorbet und der Palatschinken waren ein Gedicht. Die Wirtin war super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen und das Lokal weiterempfehlen.

Schöner heller Gastraum, toller Blick nach draußen, waren mittags unter der Woche essen. Die Männer hatten Grillteller, ich das Tagesmenü. Die Chefin war super nett, das Essen schnell erhalten. Wir waren alle satt, haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder... Im Sommer kann man auch wunderbar draußen sitzen!

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit freundlicher, familiärer Atmosphäre und ebensolchem Service. Es kann auch etwas edler sein, falls gewünscht, denn es gibt einen separaten Saal. Salat, verschiedene Schnitzel und den Grillteller haben wir bereits mehrfach gehabt, alles top. Als Getränk besonders zu empfehlen: Die Quitten-Schorle! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schon beim Betreten des Hauses wird man von einer Atmosphäre umhüllt, die sowohl warmherzig als auch stilvoll ist – eine harmonische Symbiose aus eleganter Einrichtung und gemütlicher Gastfreundschaft. Das Personal besticht durch außerordentliche Höflichkeit, Zuvorkommenheit und Fachkenntnis, die das kulinarische Erlebnis zu einem wahren Genuss machen. Die Speisekarte ist eine Meisterleistung an Raffinesse und Kreativität. Jedes Gericht ist ein wahres Kunstwerk, das sowohl in seiner Präsentation als auch in seinem Geschmack höchste Ansprüche erfüllt. Die Aromen sind perfekt abgestimmt, die Zutaten frisch und von erlesener Qualität. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die außergewöhnliche Auswahl an Weinen, die wunderbar auf die Gerichte abgestimmt sind und den Genuss noch weiter verfeinern. Die Atmosphäre ist ruhig und dennoch lebendig ein idealer Ort, um sich kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen und dabei die Zeit zu vergessen. Das Restaurant bietet nicht nur exzellente Küche, sondern auch ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für alle Sinne. Ich kann dieses Haus wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich bereits auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Atmosphäre in diesem klassischen Restaurant am Altrhein, dem Bootshaus Fuchsbau, ist einfach schön. Die Portion des Schnitzels ist außerdem ausreichend groß, meine Freundin und ich kommen gerne öfter.

Leider kann man keine Minussterne vergeben, dieser Laden hätte ihn verdient. Bei diesen Preisen erwartet man gute Qualität und einen freundlichen Service. Beides leider fehlanzeige.

Wenn ich die Bewertungen lese, haben wir wohl leider einen sehr schlechten Tag erwischt. Das Essen war sehr lieblos auf dem Teller drapiert, die Pommes weder knusprig noch frisch und teilweise nicht mehr warm und sehr gummerig, ebenso wie der Schafskäse, der lauwarm auf einem kalten Toast lag. Die Bedienung wirkte teilweise sehr gestresst.

Das beste Restaurant, das ich je besucht habe! Ich weiß gar nicht, wo ich anfangen soll – beim Essen, beim Ambiente oder beim Personal? Alles ist einfach perfekt! Schon beim Eintreten wird man mit einem Lächeln und echter Herzlichkeit empfangen. Die Atmosphäre ist wunderbar – modern, aber trotzdem gemütlich, mit Liebe zum Detail und einer Musik, die genau die richtige Stimmung schafft. Und das Essen… einfach unglaublich! Jeder Bissen ist ein Genuss – frisch, perfekt gewürzt und wunderschön angerichtet. Das Personal ist superfreundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Sie erklären jedes Gericht, geben tolle Empfehlungen und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen, als wäre man Stammgast. Die Preise? Mehr als fair für diese Qualität und das gesamte Erlebnis. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder – absolute Empfehlung! ❤️🍷

Authentische kroatische Aromen, wunderschöne Uferpromenade, gastfreundlicher Service

Wir waren zum Mittagessen an einem Sonntag. Schön gelegen in der Natur. Schneller Service, obwohl sehr gut besucht. Essen war sehr lecker, Rumpsteak auf dem Punkt, der Lachs genauso. Ändern der Beilage kein Problem. Einziger Wermutstropfen, nur Barzahlung. Für uns bedeutet das leider immer einen Besuch am Geldautomaten vorher. Ansonsten würden wir da viel öfter hingehen.

Spontan montags nach einer Kühkopfwanderung eingekehrt: sehr schön gelegen, super nettes Personal. Es war Schnitzeltag und ich nahm ein Kochkäs-Schnitzel mit Pommes und Beilagensalat - ein Gedicht! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

Klassisches Restaurant mit klassischem Essen in netter Location am Altrhein, insbesondere im Sommer. Etwas schwer zu finden. Die Wirtsleute sind sehr zuvorkommend, am Montag ist Schnitzel Tag. Für den, der bodenständig essen mag, könnte das Bootshaus ein Geheimtipp sein.

We went there for lunch for a birthday with a group of 16 people. The table in the adjoining room was beautifully set. We were surprised by the wonderful ambiance. The service was super friendly, and the food was delicious. Everything was freshly prepared, whether it was schnitzel or a mixed grill, it was truly excellent. We will definitely be back; highly recommended, even for larger parties.

We've always been satisfied so far; the location is stunning, the food is always delicious, and everyone is super nice and friendly, always fulfilling special requests. That's why we celebrated our wedding there, and it was incredibly beautiful, with everything prepared with so much love. We and our guests were all thrilled and completely satisfied. Some of our guests will also be returning. One small improvement would be to add one or two more vegetarian dishes to the menu.

We celebrated our wedding here on August 1, 2025. We couldn't have chosen a better location. Located directly on the Old Rhine, it's very quiet and idyllic. We had a singer and could be as loud as we wanted. The decor was done with a lot of love and joy. Our guests were thrilled; everything just worked out. The food was excellent. We would host another celebration here. Even our guests will be back for dinner. What's unfortunately missing here are one or two more vegetarian dishes on the menu. Highly recommended. We've become regulars.

A very nice, small inn with a cozy beer garden to relax in. The service was super friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious and the value was good. We'd love to come back!

We were there on Whit Saturday with a group of 10 people. Service was friendly and quick, but the food was completely oversalted. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it again. A shame! Update August 23: The food was okay, but for a watered-down large wine spritzer, €8,00, it's amazing. It stays at 3 stars... Update August 2025: The food is still abysmal, drinks lukewarm and completely overpriced, service silly and inflexible. That's it for now.

We ate at the Fuchsbau with five adults and a three-year-old child. On the positive side: You can sit comfortably and quietly, with a great view of the Old Rhine. The rump steak was super tender and delicious, the minced steak stuffed with feta cheese was juicy and very flavorful. The cream sauce was very good and tasted fresh. The Djuvec rice tasted homemade and freshly prepared. Now the big but: When we asked if it was possible to bring the spaetzle for the hungry toddler BEFORE the main courses, we were rudely cut off. The kitchen's schedule simply didn't allow it. So far, everything was fine; it was busy. Later, during serving, the service was a bit too energetic, and some of the fries fell from one of our plates onto her top and pants and landed on the floor. The staff's response was only a cursory "sorry." When we asked for new fries, they responded with annoyance, and then about 10 individual fries in a bowl were practically thrown onto the table. (The side dish size was already very manageable beforehand.) The fries were perfectly fried, the schnitzel perfectly cooked – but both were unfortunately completely oversalted (even those who normally eat very salty food found this). Finally, we discovered that the small portion of spaetzle and the cream sauce served with it were charged at ten (!) euros (five euros each). This was about 100 grams of industrial spaetzle and a sauce boat of cream sauce... It's a real shame, as we've always been very satisfied with the food we've picked up in the past.

Beautifully located right on the Old Rhine. The hosts are friendly and the food is excellent. We were also lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside.

My husband and I come here often. Super delicious food, seasonal specials, schnitzel day... There's something for everyone. The people are so friendly that you immediately feel at home. Being right on the water with a lawn is incredibly beautiful in the summer, but the decor is also super cozy in the winter. A definite recommendation! :)

The food was OK, the value for money was OK, the portions were okay. The service was friendly. My food order was wrong, and I still had to pay the full price. The cashier was rude and then, before we were even out, she started talking to the staff about it in the local language. That's not how you keep customers! Plus, the restaurant wasn't full, and I waited 30 minutes for the food!

We stopped by spontaneously on a beautiful, sunny Friday. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. The food was delicious, and I found the prices very, very reasonable—almost too reasonable. We simply gave the always friendly staff a generous tip to thank them for this pleasant stop. A true gem surrounded by nature. Located right on the bike path! We'd love to come back 😊

The food was very tasty. Various apparently homemade ice cream sorbet varieties were offered. We were served nicely and politely. In summer you can sit very nicely with a view of the arm of the Rhine.

Really delicious food, super attentive and friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Due to the somewhat hidden location, it is also quiet without a lot of noise around it. Really recommended for a good meal, something cool to drink on a bike ride or just with the family.

Had dinner there with my buddy. It's a bit hidden, but easy to find. The ambience is very nice. It is located on the shore, you can arrive by car or boat. Price performance was definitely right here. It was very tasty and definitely recommended. You can tell it was cooked with love. Service was very friendly and even kept us company. Definitely again 😊

Just look for the signs on the country road and you'll find it. Once found, the atmosphere is very nice and there is also a small river in sight. Will definitely eat there again😋👍🏽

Great place for a clever meal. The staff is very friendly and deals with special requests very flexibly. No matter whether inside or outside you always have a well-kept and clean atmosphere. You don't have to wait long for your food, whether you're with 3 or 10 people. You can't say anything about the price and the selection is great.

Went to the restaurant on February 16, 2024 for a funeral (of my mother) and I was very disappointed. Price performance ratio is not acceptable. I paid €531.80 for 15 people. This includes, among other things, a small Pljeskavica for €15.90 and a large one for €16.90, a grilled vegetable "Bonne Femme" (the portion size of which is a joke) for €15.90. The mourning community received coffee, cake, sandwiches and water for €32.21 per person. The agreed amount was around €22.00 per person. A place setting, it later turned out, included a piece of cake (6x6 cm), a baguette of bread with ham or cheese, a cup of coffee and water, everything else was charged as an extra. The cake was a piece of cheesecake or a piece of crumb cake (which was also the worst in the world, which also applies to the grilled vegetables). The portion of "Bonne Femme" was a joke, as every side salad is bigger. For me, the visit here turned out to be the biggest disappointment. The funeral and mourning were exploited here in the most outrageous way. The parking lot behind the restaurant totally fits the character of the restaurant. Addendum: The fact that the operator would like to see things differently is in the nature of things. The fact is and remains: It was agreed differently when it came “on the table” later. Very poor price-performance ratio (although the performance was simply extremely inadequate and bad, friendliness is different!!). Even when I wanted to reduce the number of participants by 4 people "three" days before the appointment, it was no longer possible on the grounds that I had already ordered everything from the bakery and the order could no longer be changed. Here they wanted to make money in a shameless way. At (my father's) funeral two months later we were in Gernsheim at the old harbor and everything was tastier, more beautiful and, above all, the price-performance ratio was great.

The boathouse offers a wonderful ambience and top food. The service is super friendly and you never wait long for the food. The dishes are always delivered at the same time, regardless of whether there are two or ten people there. Very commendable, I would like to come back. Insider tip in the Ried.

We went there for dinner for the first time. Unfortunately the weather isn't that nice yet, so we couldn't eat outside. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace and look out over the Old Rhine - very nice. There are Croatian dishes, tasty and something for everyone. There is also a separate room for family celebrations and company events.

Leider sehr reduzierte Karte und auch das Essen war für den Preis eine Zumutung. Andere Gäste fragten schon, wo man jetzt hingehen soll um sich satt zu essen. Leider geschmacklich schlecht ausgearbeitet mit wenig Aromen und sher einfache und nicht gut gemachten Küche. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen!!
