We came today to eat with my family because we've heard good critics about the dishes. The restaurant was clean and the quality very good. The service was medium, barely polite. The dishes were without any salt or herbs to give them taste and the prices were too high regarding the taste of the dishes.

Very tasty food, large portions. Can recommend Scaloppina ai funghi. Attentive service.

We recently visited this restaurant for the first time in a larger group and had mixed impressions. The food was of high quality and very tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service from the waitress, who impressed with her friendliness. Unfortunately, the overall positive impression was significantly marred by the owner's unfriendly behavior. In summary, the restaurant has great potential in terms of food and service. However, an improvement in customer friendliness on the part of the owner would be urgently needed to round off the overall experience positively.

Very tasty, really Italian pizzas and great salads. But the calamari are the best.

On the recommendation of a colleague, we met at "Bocca D'oro" located directly at the "St. Stephan" tram stop. It is a restaurant serving slightly more upscale Italian cuisine with a very stylish interior. Sitting outside in bad weather is not a problem as the area is well covered and keeps out the rain. The pizza was very large and well topped and tasted great. The side salad and the tartufo dessert at the end were also really good. In terms of price, the "Bocca D'oro" is definitely a little above average, but I'm happy to pay that if everything is to my satisfaction. What amazed me was that the owner not only served, but also helped out in the kitchen. This is not a given. Conclusion: Unreserved recommendation!

The restaurant can also be easily reached by tram, as the stop is right in front of it. There is a large terrace for sitting outside that is barrier-free. We sat inside because it was a bit chilly outside that evening. The food is simply fantastic, delicious and authentically Italian. There are seasonal specialties and otherwise a very balanced menu, there is something for everyone here.

The pizzas were sensational 😍, service impeccable and super friendly!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In my opinion, Boco d'oro is the best restaurant in the Darmstadt area if you really want to try excellent Italian cuisine. The food may be a little more expensive, but every cent is worth it, no matter what I ate here. The food was always excellent. I can actually recommend every dish. One of my favorite dishes is the homemade truffle pasta and for dessert there was pizza bread with sweet pistachio cream. The owner is also up for fun.

The food, ambience and service are top. Love it here. The entire concept of this restaurant is completely thought out and well organized. The boss lends a hand and that makes such a difference, because it underlines the love down to the last detail and the work here is done with heart. Thank you for all the great evenings we have been able to spend there so far.

We ate pizza, pasta and fish. There was nothing to complain about. A mixed appetizer platter left nothing to be desired!

Excellent Italian cuisine restaurant. The pizza is exceptional.

We were a larger group and had been there several times. Food was very tasty, despite a bit of a wait. The waitress was very friendly. What was extremely negative and made the whole visit seem like a bad experience was the behavior of the owner. Extremely unfriendly. No sympathy at all. As a guest you felt totally unwelcome and rather uncomfortable. The ambience inside is also not particularly nice/authentic.

Where to start, I love this restaurant! The food is more than good quality! Whether it's salad, pizza or various types of meat, it's simply delicious! There's even gluten-free food, so there's really something for everyone. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and gives the feeling of a large living room. Leo, yes Leo is simply the best! You are warmly welcomed and are not just a guest but a friend. You are guaranteed to leave this restaurant full and with a smile! I can wholeheartedly recommend it 😊

Very good Neapolitan pizza. Classic from the stone oven with Fior di Latte. Really tasty. Generally very authentic Italian food. The espresso was also very good. There is a parking lot behind the building with enough spaces. Reservations recommended!

Geschäftliches Essen in schönem Ambiente. Wir waren bei unserem Besuch Aussteller auf der Messe Frankfurt und bei der Reservierung kam man uns mit der zeitlichen Reservierung bereits entgegen. Ging schon sehr gut an. Da wir alle Pizza gegessen haben und jeder von uns zufrieden war, werden wir erneut hier essen gehen. Pasta , Fisch und Fleisch muss auch noch probiert werden. Eine Reservierung ist nötig , da das Restaurant gut besucht ist.

Ein sehr freundlicher „Italiener“ hat uns begrüßt und zum reservierten Tisch begleitet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde immer wieder gefragt ob alles recht ist. Meine Pizza wurde vergessen, aber der Chef hat sich 1000 mal entschuldigt. Hauptsache sie war heiß und vom Geschmack her gut. Die Getränke waren alle tipptopp. Wir durften lange sitzen und es war sehr unkompliziert alles. Ein schöner Italiener. Bis auf den Beilagensalat. Die Salatsoße hat uns allen nicht gemundet. Maggie oder Knorr hat sich da reingemogelt. Das würde ich verändern. Salz Pfeffer Zitrone Olivenöl fertig.

Top pasta top 🍕 pizza again and again

We love going to Bocca D'oro, Leo simply has the best pizza. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but we feel that is justified given the quality of the food, the overall good service and the great ambience. In comparison, if I order a pizza from a 0815 delivery service that costs me over €10, I would honestly prefer to pay a few euros more and have a really good pizza on my plate. We can't understand why there is bad service, we've been there often and haven't experienced bad service yet. Even when we visited spontaneously (you should definitely make a reservation, especially during peak times), we were still able to get a seat .

A very nice restaurant quality atib very good. We were there for the Christmas party, 14 people, no long waiting times, great quality of food, starter, main course and dessert. The waiters were also super friendly and helpful. Can only be recommended.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant für gute und authentische italienische Küche! Sehr leckere Speisen (Pizza/ Pasta / Steaks usw..) Guter Service und sehr kompetent. Einziger Abzug der für die 5 Sterne Bewertung gefehlt hat war meiner Meinung nach das wir um 18:00 Uhr leider noch keine Pizza bekommen haben, sondern „nur“ eine Pinsa da der Ofen noch nicht heiß genug war.. :/ Etwas schade da man dies sicher umgehen könnte (früher anfangen zu heizen o.ä.) Ansonsten vielen Dank für den tollen Abend und das leckere Essen, definitiv eine Empfehlung wert!

Das Bocca D‘Oro ist eine absolute Empfehlung im Großraum Darmstadt. Ein modernes, gepflegtes Lokal, das niemals ‚in die Jahre kommt‘, weil der Besitzer Leo stets umgestaltet - sowohl im Lokal als auch die Karte. Das Essen ist stets hervorragend! Die neapolitanische Pizza sucht ihres Gleichen und ist ein Gedicht. Auch die Pinsa, Pasta und Meeresfrüchte sind immer frisch und lecker. Wenn sehr viel los ist, muss man evtl. mal einen Moment länger warten. Aber das Essen und der Besitzer Leo sind es absolut wert. Wir kommen inzwischen mindest einmal pro Woche vorbei.

Das Essen war an sich ganz ok, doch leider haben wir 2std und 15 Minuten (!!!!) Auf das Essen gewartet...der Service war nicht gut und der Chef war alles andere als freundlich, vor allem wenn man ihn fragt wir lange es noch dauert...Preise auch überteuert.

Ein ganz hervorragendes italienisches Restaurant mit täglich frischen Meeresfrüchten, hausgemachter Pasta, Pizza aus dem Holzofen und einem Vollblut-Gastronomen, der wie ein Virtuose zwischen Wein-Empfehlung, leidenschaftlichem Service und der Küche, nach Bedarf hin- und her wechselt. Beeindruckend! Eine klare Empfehlung.

Ich war hier neulich zum ersten Mal und wirklich sehr enttäuscht. Erstens war der Service super langsam!! Und, wenn dies der Fall ist, hofft man wenigstens, dass sich das Warten lohnt, aber leider NEIN - ich habe die Diagnose Zöliakie (Glutenallergie) und ich weiß, dass Essen gehen mit Glutenunverträglichkeit sehr schwierig ist, aber ich dachte hier finde ich was gutes, weil es glutenfreie Pizza gibt. Der glutenfreie Teig war sogar lecker, aber der Belag dermaßen schrecklich, dass ich nur zwei Stücke essen konnte. Ich hatte eine Pizza mit Salccia bestellt und eine mit ungewürzten!!!! Hackfleisch bekommen. Ich hatte teilweise sogar das Gefühl, dass das Hack nicht ganz durch war. Hat wirklich nicht geschmeckt! Der Service war auch nicht besonderes. Ich komme nicht wieder.. :/

Waren am Abend zu Besuch, empfang war ziemlich mager hätte Gastfreundlicher sein können. Außerdem kam das Essen teilweise kalt an was für sie Preise sehr enttäuschend ist.

Die teilweise schlechten Bewertungen hatten uns ein bisschen verunsichert, aber Versuch macht klug. Ganz ehrlich, selten haben wir sooo gut italienisch gegessen. Die Pizza ist wirklich etwas Besonderes. Die Vorspeise Tomate Mozzarella haben wir bisher kaum woanders besser gegessen. Der Besitzer war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Von uns gibt's 5 von 5 Sterne. Danke! P.S. Preise stehen offen da. Wem es zu teuer ist muss woanders hin. Wir fanden die Preise angemessen.

Mit ganz großem Abstand der beste Italiener in Deutschland. Zu vergleichen nur noch mit Neapel. Die Pizza ist unfassbar gut. Der Teig, die Tomatensoße, die hochwertigen Zutaten. Wir haben auf Vorbestellung Lasagne bestellt … OMG! Oberste Referenzklasse!

Wir waren mit Freunden zu Besuch dort zum Essen, leider war die Empfehlung dorthin einfach schlecht. Der Kellner nahm unser Essen auf, verstand aber wohl nur teilweise was wir wollten. Kurze Erläuterung und es passte,dachten wir. Allerdings war das 1.Essen auf dem Tisch ohne jegliche Bestellung, darauf reklamierten wir dieses, nach einer unfreundlichen Art des Chefes und statt sich zu entschuldigen, ging der Abend voran und 2 von 7 Personen hatten das richtige Essen. Die Steaks waren nach Vorgabe gut.... Die Pizzen waren hart und zum Teil ungeniessbar, das interesierte dort niemanden. Wenn man mit den Guten mithalten will, auch preislich, sollte die Leistung sowie Personal besser passen . Nicht zu empfehlen! Note ungenügend und überteuert. Martin

Endlich mal wieder ein Italienisches Restaurant NICHT von der Stange. Auch wenn das ein oder andere Gericht ein paar Euro mehr kostet, es ist es wert! Kreative Kompositionen, hochwertige und geschmackvolle Zutaten und ein padrone dem man die Leidenschaft anmerkt. Der erste gute Eindruck hat sich über den kompletten Abend bestätigt, gerne wieder
