Upon entering Barolo, you immediately sense the warm and inviting atmosphere – tasteful decor, subdued lighting, and a very friendly welcome. The service was attentive and courteous without being intrusive. The menu offers a wonderful selection of Italian classics with modern touches. We started with bruschetta and carpaccio – both dishes fresh and delicious. For the main course, we had the seafood risotto: perfectly al dente rice, aromatic seafood, and a sauce that had to be devoured by the end. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were fresh and lovingly presented. The wine selection was also impressive – a suitable recommendation for each course, and expert advice. To finish, a dessert perfectly rounded off the evening: tiramisu, light and just the right amount of sweetness – not overly opulent. The price is reasonable for the quality – you can tell the food is cooked with love. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Barolo, especially to anyone looking for excellent Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.

Despite the fact that the place was really full (at least all the tables on the terrace were reserved), we were immediately shown to a free table. The three waiters scurried from table to table, never losing their good humor. Hardly a single guest complained, so hats off to them. The food was incredibly delicious. I would have happily given the service 8 out of 5 stars that day. We've been here before and will definitely be back.

A very good restaurant with a very good selection of Italian dishes on the menu. The service is excellent. Reservations would be advantageous, but you can usually get a table spontaneously if you don't arrive with a large group. One star deducted because parking isn't easy (despite having its own parking lot), and around 9:30 p.m., you feel like you should leave. You can still get dessert and espresso, etc., but it's not as cozy anymore. But no one is unfriendly or pushy...please don't misunderstand. I just notice that people just want to close up and go home.

Mein letzter Besuch im Restaurant Barolo war leider alles andere als zufriedenstellend. Als Italienerin, die mit der vielfältigen und schmackhaften italienischen Küche aufgewachsen ist, hatte ich große Erwartungen an dieses Lokal, die jedoch schnell enttäuscht wurden. Zu Beginn des Abends fühlte ich mich als Gast nicht wirklich willkommen. Es wurde deutlich, dass die "Stammgäste" hoch geschätzt werden, während Neulinge eher in den Hintergrund gedrängt wurden. Die herzliche Begrüßung und vor allem die schnelle Bedienung, die diesen Gästen zuteilwurden, hinterließen bei uns einen faden Beigeschmack. Wir bestellten verschiedene Gerichte, darunter Spaghetti Carbonara, Spaghetti aglio e olio und einige Pizzen. Leider muss ich als leidenschaftliche Liebhaberin der italienischen Küche sagen, dass die Qualität der Speisen nicht akzeptabel war. Die Spaghetti Carbonara wurde uns mit einer Sahnesauce serviert – ein absolutes No-Go! In der traditionellen Zubereitung sollte diese Spezialität ausschließlich mit Eiern, Pecorino-Käse, Guanciale und Pfeffer zubereitet werden. Sahne hat hier nichts verloren, und so war die Enttäuschung groß. Zusammenfassend kann ich das Restaurant Barolo nicht empfehlen. Als italienisches Restaurant erwarte ich eine gewisse Hingabe zur Kulinarik, die hier leider fehlt. Eine herzliche Begrüßung und authentische Gerichte wären wünschenswert gewesen, doch an beiden scheiterte es. Für mich wird ein weiterer Besuch hier nicht in Frage kommen.

I've been to Barolo twice – once in the evening and once for lunch. I found the food average in both cases and the ambience a bit too loud. I had a pizza that, in typical Neopolitan style, had a lot of crust. The center was generously layered with ham, and the sauce didn't have much flavor for my taste – which is why I found the food only average. There are certainly better and worse evenings in terms of ambience, but my experience so far has been that the restaurant is quite loud. At the same time, I didn't feel I could relax at my table. The service was fine both times, but it took quite a while to be served in the winter garden.

People... your place stinks terribly of urine basins. Until that changes, visiting your restaurant is not recommended. It really takes everything away. Correction as of May 10, 2022 BAROLO has been back in my area for some time now. And I have to say, they've gotten back to their old form. Dear people at BAROLO, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you keep it up. Therefore, the rating is being changed to 4 stars. The ladies are top-notch in their service. The gentlemen... There's still room for improvement. Good: Normally friendly service Pleasant and clean ambience Less good: We had a mixed appetizer platter Penne Arrabiata Scaloppina al Gorgonzola The mixed appetizer platter was a joke for the price. Flavor = zero. Nothing tasty. Bland and colorless. And the quantity was 3 x 2 tablespoons. Penne Arrabiata Never had such bad Arrabiata at Barolo. A boring and tasteless main course. More like a garlic salad with a few noodles. The sauce was like ready-made sauce from a jar for baby food. A bitter disappointment. The scallopina were at least cooked through. The Gorgonzola sauce was everything but sauce. And nothing tasted like Gorgonzola at all. Bland, watery, and completely flavorless. An insult. So, the star isn't for the food. There's no value for money here, because no service was provided. You really have to savor the food with wine, grappa, and sambuca.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday there. The food was fantastic. Everyone was thrilled with their meal. The quality was simply superb, and there were also unusual dishes that you wouldn't normally find at Italian restaurants. The crispy flatbread (warm) with herbs was my favorite. An absolute insider tip! From the first moment in Barolo you feel like you are in a small trattoria in Italy. The dishes are not only a visual delight, but also taste of a very high level - homemade pasta, perfect seasoning and a great wine list. The owner deserves particular mention: incredibly warm, attentive and with real passion for what he does. You can tell that they don't just serve food here, but that real hospitality is experienced here. I'll definitely be back!

We were at Restaurante Barolo in Norderstedt and absolutely loved it. The boss himself served us and recommended Italian antipasti – absolutely delicious! Afterwards we had pasta with truffles and sole, both of which were a real treat. The atmosphere was super cozy and stylish. I can definitely recommend the restaurant!

A true Barolo dining experience As an Italian, I am often critical when it comes to Italian food outside of Italy - but barolo absolutely convinced me! The dishes were delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. You can taste it straight away: this is cooking con passione! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces were wonderfully seasoned, and the dessert – a fantastic tiramisù – was also delicious. The boss was incredibly friendly and personable - you almost felt like you were at una famiglia. The service was also attentive and warm. A place where you like to sit, eat and simply enjoy. Barolo offers a cozy and very typical Italian atmosphere. The staff is friendly and provides good advice. The menu features freshly prepared Italian specialties, supplemented by a weekly special. The wine list is also highly recommended. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The dishes are freshly prepared and very tasty. Barolo is now our favorite Italian. We really like the atmosphere. The people are nice and the food is really delicious and the drinks too.

Great restaurant with delicious food, good value for money, nice attentive service. The only downside: the toilets smell like a train station toilet, although they look clean. You can smell it when you go down the stairs. This is in dire need of improvement, so only 2 stars for the ambience.

7 of us were there to eat and drink on Sunday at 1 p.m. It was pretty full, but the drinks came early, the food from pizza, fish and pasta was all very tasty, the selection was very large, followed by a variety of desserts. The seven of us had 5 different dishes that were okay, but nothing more. The pizza that used to be excellent here was bland and the crust was like a ready-made pizza without bubbles. I can do it better at home. We had to ask about the bread first. After about 30-40 minutes wait. With the prices now high, the price/performance ratio is no longer right for me

We recently stayed at Barolo in Norderstedt and had a very pleasant experience. The waiters were super nice and friendly, and the overall service was really good. The atmosphere was relaxed and down-to-earth, which made the visit all the more pleasant. We also enjoyed the food. What is particularly noteworthy is that special requests were fulfilled without any problems. For example, I wanted a seafood pizza that wasn't on the menu - that wasn't a problem and was executed well.

We were looking forward to a few nice hours with great food and were very disappointed. The service was overwhelmed and not attentive. The first order after 30 minutes. After more than an hour, the food came out of the kitchen, half cold. The homemade ravioli was cold and a mini portion. For just under €20, it's a disgrace. No parmesan… It wasn't even asked. If it's full, it's best to eat somewhere else.

The food (pizza) was good, and we watched the final of the European Football Championship together with the (owners, cellars). We philosophized about the game together. It's been over 10 years since we first visited Barolo. We liked it so much back then that we stopped by there regularly when we were in the area (about once a year). Last year we noticed that the service had deteriorated significantly. But this time it was really uncomfortable. The white tablecloth was totally dirty but would not be replaced. The pizza bread, which in the past was a small bite to eat, was no longer available. Food and drinks were slammed onto the table rather carelessly. The waiter preferred to chat with his compatriots at the next table rather than pay attention to us. The cappuccino we ordered at the end arrived overflowing, and the ashtray I had asked for didn't arrive at all (we sat outside and one was brought to some of the neighboring tables). We also didn't receive the entertainment receipt we requested. The grappa on the house was brought quite stylishly into a schnapps tamper. Overall, we had the feeling that, as non-permanent regulars, we were second-class guests. The food was okay, and each of the points listed individually would not have led to a bad rating. But overall they made our stay miserable. Maybe you just don't want new guests at Barolo or those who only come rarely?

The food was ok, but not necessarily typically Italian. The Bolognese was ok, but lacked the Italian touch. The beef was good and the vegetables and potatoes were average. The price-performance ratio wasn't right. I found the waiter unsympathetic and not professional enough because he came across as too academic.

Unfortunately we live quite far away but the journey is always worth it. For us it feels like a two hour vacation in Italy. The Barolo simply has flair and charm. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

Essen war Top! Wartezeit auf Essen 50 Minuten. Wir würden so lange mit Brot vollgestopft, bis die kleinen Portionen ausreichend waren. Bedienung war super freundlich, aber es war unheimlich voll und damit laut.

Vor kurzem als Gast eingeladen worden. Wirklich ein charmanter Italiener in Norderstedt. Der Service war Weltklasse und ich hatte seit langem nicht mehr so eine freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Allen hat das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt. Für meinen Geschmack dürfte die Spaghetti mit Bolognese noch ein wenig gröber sein und eine Note von Rotwein haben. Preis und Leistung passen hier auf jeden Fall zusammen. 👌

Pizza zum Mitnehmen. Ich wollte 1 Mozzarella, eine Salami mit Peperoni und einmal Pizzabrot. Bekommen habe ich zwei lauwarme Pizzen, einmal komplett mit einer durchgehenden "Käsehaube", was wohl die Mozzarella sein sollte. Auf der Salamipizza lagen ein paar ganze Peperonis, schneiden durfte ich dann selbst. Das Pizzabrot war derart versalzen, dass wir es leider wirklich nicht essen konnten und man glaube mir, ich esse gern salzig, aber das war einfach unmöglich! 30€ für diese Zumutung bezahlt und entschieden, dass ich dort nicht mehr zu Gast sein werde, nicht mal zum abholen. Schade Barolo, seid ihr doch bei uns um die Ecke 😔

Hallo Barolo, am Wochenende waren wir mit Freunden bei euch und es lief nicht gerade rund. Der Wein war mit Fruchtfliegen ausgestattet und so ganz frisch war er auch nicht mehr. Ein paar neue Gläser waren schnell gebracht und in Ordnung. Das bestellte Essen für die Kinder konnte nicht geliefert werden darüber l setzte man uns eine halbe Stunde später in Kenntnis und bot eine Alternative an. Insgesamt haben wir alle sehr lange auf unser Essen gewartet. Der angebotene Sammbuca zum Schluss sollte den Abend abrunden und entpuppte sich beim Schluck aufs Ganze als Grappa mit Kaffeebohnen Igitt… Ich hoffe inständig, dass eure Stammkundschaft sowas nicht erleben muss. Wir waren das erste Mal bei euch und dabei wird es wohl auch bleiben.
