Restaurant Bar Biergarten Stella in Esslingen am Neckar

We had the boss put together a 'meze' for us, a bit of everything. It was really very tasty and varied. Even when we weren't quite full, a few more plates of delicious food arrived. We were here for the second time will definitely come back 😁

As an American traveling on business, I hate eating at most hotels, so I figured I would venture out of the Best Western Premier in Esslingen when it came to dinner. The nearest place I could find on google was this place. I was eating late (8:45pm) and didn't even know if this place would be open, let alone still be serving. Fortunately, both were true. The atmostphere was a bit quiet with one other couple in the smoking room while I was stationed just outside the bar. My server was very friendly and more concerned with my not being a native German speaker than she needed to be as most of the menu - even in German - was understandable to me. Best of all, she got my beer order promptly as I settled in for dinner. I ordered the Putenschnitzle Milanese - which is essentially veal parmasean served on a bed of spaghetti and a salad. The salad was fresh and tasty. I liked the combination of spring greens, peppers, and kernels of corn. The entree was even better. I'm not sure to call it German food with an Italian twist or Italian food German style, - but it was very, very good. I would describe this place as really good food and beer that's easy on your expense account. Thumbs up!
