Wir gehen regelmäßig ins Restaurant Athos in Luckenwalde und sind jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Essen ist immer lecker und von gleichbleibend guter Qualität. Besonders schön ist die herzliche und familiäre Atmosphäre – man fühlt sich hier als Gast einfach willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Auch für Familien mit Kindern ist das Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen. Unsere Kinder fühlen sich jedes Mal wohl und werden schon zur Begrüßung mit einer kleinen alkoholfreien Aufmerksamkeit überrascht – eine liebevolle Geste, über die sie sich immer freuen. Besonders schön finden wir: - leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Essen - herzlicher, aufmerksamer Service - familienfreundliche Atmosphäre - gemütlicher Außenbereich mit Biergarten - überdachte Sitzmöglichkeiten für heiße oder wechselhafte Sommertage - schön renovierter Innenbereich mit modernen und gemütlichen Sitzmöbeln Gerade im Sommer sitzt man draußen im Biergarten wunderbar, besonders abends, wenn man den Tag gemütlich ausklingen lassen kann. Aber auch der renovierte Innenbereich ist wirklich schön geworden. Fazit: Ein Restaurant, in das wir immer wieder gerne kommen. Leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente und ein tolles Team. Klare Empfehlung für Familien und alle, die gerne gemütlich und gut essen gehen!

Ein schönes griechische Restaurant mit Biergarten wo man wunderbar draußen sitzen kann um das leckere Essen und Getränke zu genießen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam

Wir waren heute am Sonntag Mittag zu dritt in eurem Restaurant. Die Speisen waren sehr vielfältig und ausreichend.👌 Wir wählten zusammen dasselbe…Rumpsteak Kremidato und wählten dazu, zum probieren, eure Metaxa Sauce. Ganz ehrlich gesagt, hatte diese leider überhaupt nichts mit in Sachen Metaxa zu tun. Für uns war es Ketchup + Sahne mit Gurken Paprika Würfel vermengt. Da ist auf jeden Fall noch Luft nach oben 👆 Alles im allen sehr freundlich. Wir freuen uns daher auf einen weiteren Besuch und hoffen, das es dann eine entsprechende Metaxa Sauce gibt💪. Mit etwas mehr Schärfe + Charakter und ohne Ketchup mit Sahne. Bis bald ✌️😎

"Es begab sich aber zu der Zeit"- dass wir heute aus einem triftigen Grund als Stammkunden ins Athos eingekehrt sind & sogleich vom gesamten Personal samt Chef begrüßt wurden. Die Fischplatte samt Halloumi- Vorspeise entsprachen unseren Erwartungen wie schon bei so vielen Besuchen dort. Ouzo als " Zwischenmahlzeit" durfte natürlich nicht fehlen, es war erneut mal wieder ein gelungener Abend bei griechischer Hintergrundmusik- DANKE Athos- Team für soviel Aufmerksamkeit... bleibt alle gesund & EISERN

Freundliche Bedienung, schmackhaftes Essen, angenehmer Sommergarten und mediterrane Atmosphäre im Inneren. Was will man mehr in Luckenwalde? Hinzu kommen Angebote mit thematischen Veranstaltungen, wie zum Beispiel zum Jahreswechsel. Für diese ist eine rechtzeitige Voranmeldung unbedingt angeraten.

Griechisches Restaurant in zentraler Lage in der Luckenwalder Innenstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal, leckere Speisen und große Auswahl. Es sind auch nicht klassische griechische Gerichte sowie Kindergerichte vorhanden. Preislich lagen wir bei ca. 30 EUR pro Person. Klare Empfehlung, wer in Luckenwalde griechisch Essen möchte. 👌Unsere erste Anlaufstelle wenn wir auf Montage in Luckenwalde sind. Nur zu empfehlen. Super Service und Mega Nett. Schöne Ausstattung viel Platz auch wenn man mit einer Fußball Mannschaft kommen sollte 😅 Kalter Ouzo steht bereit

Wir waren vor dem Umbau da und es hat uns gut gefallen,so das wir dieses Jahr wieder hin gekommen sind und es war ein Reinfall. Der Ouzo war mit Wasser gestreckt,die Knoblauchkartoffeln sind am Knoblauch vorbei gelaufen und das Fleisch hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Schade und deshalb sind wir extra aus Berlin gekommen.😑🫤

Wir sind überrascht von Organisation des Geburtstagstisches von Athos Team. Ein tolles geschmücktes tisch , und zum Schluss kommt eine Torte mit Wunderkerzen ( Von Haus) mit Geburtstaglied . Vorspeisen hat sehr gut geschmeckt, Hauptgericht auch super und Tolles Service Alles wunderbar Weiter empfehlen

Update: The owners responded to the criticism with a voucher. That was nice. I didn't redeem it myself, but I'm happy to hear that other guests have a better experience. Poor organization on Boxing Day results in more lost guests than if they had accepted fewer reservations. I, for one, would have preferred to hear "Sorry, we're full" beforehand than to experience this... Despite a reservation, no table was prepared. At the same time, people were crammed into every available space. The noise was like a train station concourse. Absolutely no atmosphere. Not a single word of regret. And to top it all off, the chicken gyro was ice cold and completely lacking any seasoning. Any kebab shop on the corner would have been more Christmassy...

It's okay, a bit expensive for the village of Luckenwalde. And there are no Greeks. Only Albanians work there.

I felt comfortable and welcome here. The ambiance was pleasant, the service was excellent, friendly, and courteous, and the food was delicious. Top-notch.

We were back in Essen after quite some time and saw the renovated restaurant for the first time and were impressed. The staff were as always very friendly and the food was great, we didn't expect anything else. It's always worth a visit.

Athos in Luckenwalde is a true highlight for all lovers of Greek cuisine. From the moment you enter, you feel warmly welcomed – the service is attentive and extremely friendly. The food is fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. I particularly recommend the tender gyros with tzatziki and garlic potatoes. The appetizers and vegetarian dishes are also impressive across the board. The portion sizes leave nothing to be desired. Add a glass of ouzo and Greek yogurt for dessert – and the evening is perfect! The ambience is warm and inviting – traditional yet stylish. You'll feel at home here, whether as a couple or with the whole family. In summer, the newly renovated beer garden is a great place to linger. A visit to Athos is like a short trip to Greece – and definitely more than just a meal. I'd be happy to come back anytime!

I have to say the service and the ambience were really great. 👍🏼 Unfortunately the food was absolutely bottomless. The meat was either completely artificially over-seasoned or had a gristly texture. I have no idea where you get your meat from. The gyro was so disgusting to me that I couldn't eat it without almost gagging. The fries were good - the only thing I could eat. Otherwise almost all of the food was returned. I'm really sorry, but in terms of taste, this was by far the worst Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at.

Food very tasty, service friendly and quick

Food (Athos grill plate) unfortunately two negative things: Meat on the skewer was unfortunately very dry and hard. Giros was very fatty (not a real Greek Giros for me). Unfortunately I wasn't asked if I wanted to drink an ouzo, it was just left there. I'd rather have something non-alcoholic. Unfortunately, the waiters disturbed us because they were very close to the table every 2 minutes and checked whether we had finished eating or drinking. That's not possible, you can't eat in peace. In the end we got a small yogurt which we didn't really want. Which was very disappointing, we wanted to pay by card but unfortunately it didn't work with any VISA. We recommend that everyone take cash with them or a bank card from a bank in Luckenwalde. The worst thing is that we would be cheated on the bill. The €50 bill quickly became €70. Unfortunately we didn't look closely at the bill for what the €20 surcharge was for. Because we hope for a trustworthy restaurant. There were two of us with a baby. Order two dishes, one for €21.50 and the other for €20.90 (kotopoulo gratinated) with a draft beer and a herbal tea. Unfortunately I can't imagine that a beer and a tea cost a total of €30.

The portions were huge, but it wasn't necessarily my taste. Prices for food are low, prices for drinks are outrageous.

Once, but not a second time. Unfortunately, no Greek restaurant in Germany has yet convinced me or left a lasting impression on me. This restaurant is hard to beat when it comes to unstructuredness and unfriendliness. There were 6 of us there, with a reservation. 45 minutes for drinks and when asked, it occurred to me that we might have forgotten something. When ordering the food, it was explicitly mentioned that the grilled vegetables would take longer (30 minutes). What came next was bordering on outrageous for €14. Half a zucchini, 2 pieces of pepper and a touch of eggplant, a little balsamic dressing and the vegetables had missed the grill. The food arrived 1:45 hours after we arrived on site. Other drinks only came upon request, but Ouzo was put on the table without asking and when we paid, we then mentioned that we hadn't drunk it at all. Conclusion: If you like meat in a nice atmosphere and don't care whether the service is good, you can probably spend a nice evening there. If you are looking for the tradition of Greece, with its hospitality and its wonderful food, you better not open this door.

Great evening with Greek cuisine. Hot & cold starters are a MUST. Fish and seafood as well as various types of meat round off the main course. Good value for money with a Greek atmosphere. Super friendly service.

Went to our favorite restaurant in Luckenwalde again...a large selection of food, friendly service in a cozy atmosphere and the food didn't take long to arrive...great service and delicious food...and of course there was also ice-cold ouzo for good friends. ..When the temperatures are moderate you can also sit outside fantastically...Highly recommended...

It's a shame it had to happen that way. We have eaten regularly at Athos for many years. The last time was last weekend. The drinks are expensive and the food always tasted delicious and was plenty. Not anymore. The side salad and fries felt like they had decreased by 70%. The meat was very thin, little and pale. No trace of grilled. The pita bread used to be really big and round. Now you get four dark little slices for a lot of money. None of our guests were happy with their food. It was supposed to be a nice evening. Why are you doing this to your guests???

Big disappointment! I wanted a festive decoration for a celebration. Unfortunately I was only offered white tablecloths...which unfortunately weren't uncovered. The flowers and vases we had purchased were on the table but without water. Well, it's also a catering establishment. Oh, there were a lot of people and we sat outside. The food was plenty and ok, unfortunately my gyros was cold. Service? Uhhh the waiters who were there at the beginning didn't understand me at all. Ambiance? So I don't want to go there anymore and if someone asked me I would recommend another location.

Einfach nur unfreundlich und unverschämt bei der Frage warum die Küche schon um 21 Uhr geschlossen ist wenn das Restaurant doch bis 23 Uhr geöffnet ist bekamen wir lachend die Antwort das sie ja morgen frei haben und sie kein Fastfood Restaurant sein unerhört nie wieder

You won't find the hospitality you're used to from Greeks here, Ouzo??? Oh, it's only available for regular guests at the neighboring table. Service was unfriendly, food was carelessly placed on the table...so according to the motto, get it processed quickly. No demand for drinks even though the glasses were empty. Waiter ignored us. It's a shame, we expected something different.

The Athos restaurant makes a good and clean impression. You feel welcome here and the reception is friendly. Here you have the opportunity to sit outside when the weather is nice. There is a roof throughout the outside seating area, meaning you can have an air-conditioned and pleasant stay outside. The staff is very friendly, attentive and very child-friendly. They are also happy to have a little fun. You don't have to wait long for your orders and the portions are plentiful. Everyone can get their fill here. The sanitary areas are also very clean. There are also sufficient parking spaces. The price-performance ratio is also right. And from what I've seen, you can have the food you don't make packed up and take it home with you. So two thumbs up 👍 👍

The welcome was nice and suggested a great evening. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. The tables were carelessly arranged without tablecloths or decorations. The dining room seemed overloaded due to the close arrangement of the tables and the acoustics were correspondingly loud. You could clearly hear what was being said even at tables slightly further away. The fact that I had to move very close to my table to let a guest through also shows that fewer (tables) would be more here. The order. I can still forgive the fact that the waiter brought me a normal Pilsner instead of a Hefeweizen. This is also proof that due to the close arrangement of the tables, the noise level was relatively high and the waitress probably didn't understand me properly. The food. There is nothing to complain about in terms of taste, especially the garlic potatoes were optimally prepared and the rump steak was medium as ordered. Unfortunately, the steak only arrived lukewarm, which of course meant that it became cold during consumption. The service. The food is served a bit carelessly and in between there was no question as to whether everything was OK or whether we needed anything else. The conclusion. I would like to positively mention the small yogurt that was available before the bill. A great idea and also something delicious in terms of taste. However, I have no idea why I had to wait about 10 minutes for my bill. It wasn't due to a lack of staff, there were 3 waiters on site. It also seems incomprehensible to me why other tables received a "nightcap" in the form of a Uoso, but we didn't. The presentation of the electronic invoice rounded off the careless overall picture. It was placed on the table in such a way that I as a guest couldn't read it and had to turn it towards me. Just a small thing, but it shows that there is still room for improvement, especially when it comes to service. To find out how to give your guests a nice dining experience, this restaurant should take a look at its Greek competitors in Jüterbog (Achilles) and in Luckenwalde (Perikles). Above all, the guest rooms there are more spacious, not overloaded with tables and the service staff are much more attentive, even when the house is full. My conclusion. It was the first and last time I visited Athos. There are too many little things that together don't create a coherent picture. A pity.

From April 30th We were here again yesterday. Due to the wonderful weather, we looked for a sunny table in the large beer garden. The service was nice and attentive. This time we “only” chose starters. We did not regret it. Both were very tasty: Greek salad with a pita and mesa gyros. We'll definitely be back. 6 months ago We were here for the first time. And we were very satisfied. The atmosphere is bright and friendly. Friendly and attentive service. The odd ouzo from the house. The food was really delicious. We'd love to come back.

To be honest, the food is quite okay. Personally, the portions were way too big for me. That was definitely well-intentioned. The restaurant is very busy, even in the middle of the week. The service is very friendly.

We had dinner here. The waiter wasn't very open to making changes to the dish. Since our child doesn't like sauces (Metaxa), we asked if the gyros baked with cheese could be done without Metaxau. He said it didn't taste good and was rotting. We explained that we had already had it like that in other restaurants and that the child liked it so much, he went to the kitchen shaking his head and laughing derogatorily... mmh... sorry, you can at least secretly gossip in the kitchen. The change was surprisingly possible. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, the dishes were tasty, but the waiter's manner was not appropriate

I had reserved seats for the birthday celebration. We had decided in advance, on the recommendation of the house, for warm and cold starter plates. We were passing through there and spontaneously had dinner in the evening. We were greeted in a friendly manner, but this great atmosphere was lost over the course of the evening, and we got the impression that the staff (waiters) were annoyed. The food was good and very plentiful, well prepared and typical for a Greek meal beforehand and then ouzo on the house. The food prices are okay but the drinks are overpriced and can't be justified. Would still recommend the restaurant.
