Had dinner here. It was very crowded in the evening. Nevertheless, we were served immediately. The food came very quickly and was very good. We were very satisfied.

Very well located Greek restaurant with an attached country house. After your first visit, you won't want to eat Greek anywhere else. Absolutely family friendly - from the boss to the service staff. The food - no matter which dish - is always extremely tasty, sometimes very generous portions and (nowadays the exception) in the lower price segment. Lots of space inside - a separate smoking area and a large outdoor terrace for warmer days. My luck: it's only a street corner away.

Price-performance is very good. In the evenings the noise is very loud due to the large number of guests.

I can't say anything about the rooms as we were only there to eat. We were there for dinner yesterday with 6 people based on a recommendation. Initially the first 2 people were not noticed or served for about 10 minutes. After you got a seat, couple number 2 arrived. When we arrived another 10 minutes later everything went very well, friendly and routine. Overall, good service!!! The atmosphere is quite cozy and also very clean. If we eat and are served so well the next time we visit, we could easily give it 5 stars. Update 02/08/25 Went there again today and last week with two other couples... From a vegetarian perspective, you can actually only create a main course based on starters. (I'm not counting salad and baked potatoes). I think it's a shame! A veggie main dish like vegetarian moussaka would be nice! But the quality of the food itself is good. When it's busy, the service can sometimes be very stressed and curt.

We had dinner here today. There is still lunch here for 7,90 euros. But we were here with the Schlemmerblock, so we got an Ouzo plate for 15.90 euros and a grill plate also for 15.90 euros. Since Schlemmerblock only paid for one meal. Tzatziki as a starter 4 euros. Very nice staff. Worth a visit even without a gourmet block. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast included in booking. When I arrived I was informed that it wasn't worth serving as I would be there alone that weekend and the costs would be reimbursed in cash. This didn't happen on the 3rd night when I asked, where they said I would stick it through the door slot because he was too busy with the restaurant at the moment. In other words, you paid for breakfast and didn’t get any for the 3 nights you booked. That was probably the last trip here. The sink drain didn't work, the shower head was calcified, there was a bedside lamp but no socket, overall it looked pretty lived in.

The restaurant is cozy, the atmosphere is authentic, the service is quick and friendly, the food is fresh and appetizing. Prices are reasonable. Every visit there is a beautiful, tasty experience. Thank you for the love you put into your work as a team. Since I live nearby, I unfortunately cannot rate your hotel, but I am convinced that it is run with the same love and friendliness.

Ordering food, there was also a very long wait for service, one dish was brought to the table incorrectly. But it could also have been the guest, as the order was not made using the name of the dish but by mentioning the number in the menu, so there was a communication problem, as there was quite a loud background noise. The service for "reordering" drinks was very poor. No independent asking whether something else is wanted. (This happened for the first time shortly before the restaurant closed) Glasses that had already been emptied were also ignored when the food was delivered. The food was great. Very tasty and large enough portions. One of the senior dishes ordered was almost too much, but that is certainly a matter of perception. This is a good Greek restaurant. An extensive menu with moderate prices. Also German stories. The dishes we ordered were plentiful. We even had to leave something on the plate because we couldn't make it. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. That wasn't the last time we ate there. Our friends also agree with us. During the week there is a reduced card but very cheap at €7.90

This review refers to the Greek restaurant “Athen” in the Landhaus Havelse ---------------------- Last year we celebrated two birthdays with larger groups in Athens. Every time the food and service were top. Everyone liked it. The service is very friendly, attentive and quick. The food tastes as you would expect from a Greek restaurant in Germany. Delicious. (I'm actually not a fan of gyros, but I even like that here.) There is no salad buffet, the small mixed salad is brought with the meal. You get 2 ouzo on the house (1x normal ouzo and 1x special mix). You can also sit on the terrace (located on a street that is less busy in the evenings). 1 star deduction for the outdated facility. Unfortunately, this has something of 80s chic about it. The chairs are quite uncomfortable sitting there. But we are already looking forward to our next visit!

When we came into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted in a very nice and friendly manner (you immediately feel at home). Even though we hadn't reserved a table, we were immediately shown a table in a friendly manner. We were there on a Thursday. The restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. This makes everything a lot more fun. The prices of the dishes are reasonable and the portions are very good and you are really full. The ambience of the restaurant is also very appealing. The restaurant gets more than five stars from me and all thumbs up. My tip if you're looking for a good Greek restaurant go there, it's totally worth it.

Das Restaurant hat uns positiv überrascht! Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen so groß, dass ich nur sie Hälfte geschafft habe. Die Preise sind dabei aber wirklich in Ordnung! Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch mal hinfahren. Nur zu empfehlen! Ein Tipp: Es gibt wenige vegetarische Speisen... Da ich aber flexibel bin, hab ich doch Fleisch bestellt und es hat mir sehr geschmeckt.

Bad service, unfriendly staff! We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. Since we were a little late, I called a quarter of an hour in advance and said that we would be a few minutes late. I was then literally assured: “No problem at all, the table is reserved for you!” When we arrived at 6:10 p.m., we stood there for 10 minutes without anyone assigning us a table. When a couple kindly cleared their table (in the middle of the aisle) for us, I asked the waiter what was going on with our reservation. He just replied: “Well, they were late.” When I told him that I had called ahead, he just mumbled: “I guess no one passed that on.” Since we didn’t want the table in the aisle, we stood Another 20 minutes in the middle of the hallway, no one communicated with us, there was no apology and we weren't offered a drink at the bar while we waited. In the end we left the restaurant disappointed.

Diese griechische Gastronomie sucht seinesgleichen in Garbsen der Region Hannover! Das Landhaus Garbsen Restaurant Athen befindet sich unweit der Stadtgrenze Hannovers im Garbsener Stadtteil Havelse. Als Landhotel bietet es den idealen Rahmen für Feierlichkeiten und Veranstaltungen mit bis zu 140 Gästen. Es gibt einen abgeschlossenen Raucherraum, und flexibel nutzbare Räumlichkeiten. Im Sommer steht eine Außen Gastronomie nah am Eingangsbereich zur Verfügung. Das bereits im Jahr 2021 mit dem 1. Platz des „Schlemmerblock AWARD´s“ ausgezeichnete Restaurant Athen in Garbsen-Havelse hat das Niveau deutlich gehalten und ist in den Rubriken Essen/Trinken, Ambiente und Service drei Sterne Plus (***+) mindestens verteidigt. Am 03. November 23 habe ich mit insgesamt 20 Gästen dort hervorragend gespeist und gefeiert. Anlässlich meines Renteneintritts mit Gästen, die bundesweit angereist waren, war diese Veranstaltung in allen Belangen ein toller Erfolg. Zur Küche: Individuelle Wünsche nach griechischen Meze-Platten wurden gern erfüllt. Alles war frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft. Der anschließende Hauptgang a la Carte, fand bei allen Gästen viel Lob für die Frische und Schmackhaftigkeit der jeweiligen Gerichte. Es wurde, Fleisch, Fisch und typische Gerichte serviert. Alle Gerichte wurden heiß und in der Abfolge zusammenhängend serviert. Sehr schmackhaft und original griechische Küche. Der Beilagen Salat war frisch zubereitet und traditionell griechisch. Hier gibt es vier Sterne (****) von mir. Zum Service: Das Servicepersonal war immer auf der Höhe meiner Gäste. Sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, dabei aber nicht aufdringlich. Hier gibt es vier Sterne (****) von mir. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis: So erstaunlich, so wünschenswert, dass es so bleiben kann! Viele meiner regionalen Gäste waren über die Qualität der Speisen, der Getränke und die dafür in der Speisekarte aufgeführten Preise so erstaunt und positiv überrascht, dass sie das Restaurant Athen auf die Liste ihrer Lieblingsrestaurants genommen haben. Von zwei Gästen weiß ich, dass sie bereits am selben Wochenende erneut mit Familie und Freunden erneut im Restaurant Athen in Garbsen-Havelse eingekehrt sind. Mehr positive Werbung gibt es eigentlich nicht. Fazit: Ein Besuch im Restaurant Athen in Garbsen Havelse ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir sind mittlerer Weile Stammgäste dort. Wer hier noch nicht war, hat wirklich was verpaßt! Bester Grieche im Raum Hannover. Essen reichlich, große Portionen. Qualität sehr sehr gut. Keine Preiserhöhung während Corona, auch erschwinglich für den kleineren Geldbeutel. Reiner Familienbetrieb. Sehr nett, charmant und zuvorkommend. Alle Extrawünsche werden mit einem Lächeln schnell erfüllt. Alles einfach nur TOP!

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Restaurant. Und die ist durchweg positiv. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Etwas, auch kleinere Portionen oder Sonderwünsche sind möglich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Portionen sind ordentlich und das Essen überhaupt sehr lecker. Wir waren schon öfters hier und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Klare Empfehlung.
