Restaurant Am Yachthafen in Bergkamen

I stopped here for lunch during a hike through the various nature reserves near Bergkamen. I was seated immediately. The service was very friendly and attentive. The Manzo al Tartufo was absolutely superb. The Nero d'Avola was also a fine wine. The tiramisu for dessert rounded off the meal perfectly. The view over the marina is beautiful. After just a few minutes, I was at the Beversee nature reserve.

Unfortunately, we received a very rude welcome because we wanted to sit at a table that wasn't reserved. The waiter, who spoke broken German, thought we should be nicer to him. We decided to eat elsewhere.

Friendly staff. The food was delicious, and the salad buffet was constantly restocked. We'd be happy to come back.

A very cozy restaurant with a lovely ambiance overlooking the harbor. The staff is friendly and accommodating to requests. Everything is very clean, the food is good, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. Everything is fresh, and the meat is of good quality. Side salads are available at the salad bar, and everything there is also good and fresh. There is plenty of parking around the corner. We would be happy to come back.

A great steakhouse by the marina. When the weather is nice, you can even sit outside and watch the boats on the canal. The menu offers both German and Balkan dishes. Generous portions, deliciously prepared. Prices are reasonable. Currently, Thursday is schnitzel day; select schnitzels with fries and salad from the buffet cost €13. You should reserve a table then, as well as on weekends. We'd love to come back. If the weather's nice, we'll even go by bike.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The view of the harbor is great. The beer is a matter of taste.

Was there again on September 20, 2025, and can only repeat: great service, great waitress, delicious food 😋 and this time I managed to clean my plate 😄... I'd be happy to go back!!!! Extremely tasty and plentiful, value for money = 100%..... I couldn't finish it, the rest was packed up, and another great meal the next day.... The waiter/waiter/server (whoever they were) was very accommodating.... All in all, I really enjoyed it.

The restaurant has been completely renovated and is very stylishly furnished. Comfortable armchairs invite you to linger. A beautiful view of the Marina Rünthe harbor and canal, and a lovely terrace for relaxing with friends or family. We've been there a few times now and can definitely say it's become our favorite restaurant. The food and desserts are absolutely fantastic. I personally recommend the American rump steak, cevapcici, and the fried ice cream in a chocolate ball. I took a photo of the ice cream and uploaded it. The hosts and team are accommodating and leave nothing to be desired. You are a fantastic team. Even though we're from Unna Massen, we're happy to make the trip. The journey is definitely worth it! We were there last Friday with 10 people to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. What can I say...if all 10 of us were thrilled with the food and everything else, that speaks volumes about the restaurant! Everyone was completely satisfied...my steak was top-notch! We'd love to go back!

You have a view of the Rünthe Marina and the canal, which gets very busy when the weather is nice. That evening, the restaurant was very busy; there were many reservations, and it felt like the waiters were overwhelmed. We had to wait a long time for our food; at times, people at neighboring tables got their food before us, so we felt like we'd been forgotten. When our dishes finally arrived, they were only lukewarm. They tasted good, but French fries taste better hot. To be fair, I think the shortage was due to the large crowd, but we probably won't eat there again.

The steak's quality was outstanding, the portions were large, and the service was very friendly.

It's always delicious 😋 But dogs are no longer allowed in September 2025, and then I (we) won't be coming anymore. It's a real shame.

The restaurant is located at the end of the "Marina Rünthe," and from the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the marina and the Datteln-Hamm Canal. The menu is dominated by Balkan specialties, but there are also schnitzels and steaks. Many dishes come with a salad, which you can help yourself to from the buffet. Desserts include pancakes and ice cream. This summer, the entire interior was renovated and equipped with new tables and chairs, giving it a modern yet cozy look. The restaurant shares the building with the "Fitnesstreff California" (fitness center, badminton court, sauna), but you won't notice this during your meal. Currently, Tuesdays are closed, and Thursdays are "schnitzel day." We have always been very satisfied with the food (good value for money), and the service has always been friendly and courteous.

I was there on a Thursday. Each schnitzel cost 13 euros. I expected more from the schnitzel. The hunter's schnitzel wasn't seasoned. The canned mushrooms and the sauce had a slightly sour taste. The fried potatoes were far too oily and not crispy; they also skimped on the seasoning. I could have saved myself the trouble of telling the waiter what I thought about the food. I had no interest. I expected more from a restaurant. The food and the service were, in my opinion, snack bar level.

We had dinner outside with eight people on August 2, 2025. The staff was very friendly. Drinks and food were served together. Everyone ate together. The family was very satisfied. We will definitely go again.

Dining right on the waterfront with a view of the marina and the shipping canal. It may sound very expensive, but it isn't. The prices are quite moderate, and the food is delicious. The menu offers a decent selection. There's something for everyone, including children and seniors. It was very tasty. The staff wasn't intrusive. The full number of stars is definitely deserved.

As we saw today, dogs are apparently no longer welcome or even prohibited in this restaurant. We've been visiting this restaurant with our dogs for over 20 years, and there have never been any problems. Apparently, some dogs have misbehaved, and the owners should rightfully be held accountable. But punishing all dog owners for this is not right. We generally avoid restaurants where dogs are not welcome. Well, there are other restaurants where the food is delicious. We live in the best Germany ever, and this restaurant will feel the effects of that, too. But we won't be seeing this restaurant again.

I can recommend it, the evening was very nice, despite the restaurant being full, all the service staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The food was mediocre at best; the pepper sauce tasted like it came from a can. I think it was. The quality of the meat was also only mediocre. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Four of us were there today, and it was probably the last time. We waited an hour and 20 minutes, the food was partially burnt, and we asked if there was pork in it. (We were assured there was no pork in my portion) Except for the bacon bits, which were served to me anyway. After we pointed this out to the waiter, he tried to deny responsibility. After all the arguing, we said it was okay, and that was it. Until the waiter came back a second time to continue arguing with me instead of offering me a solution. After I asked him about it, the only response he gave was that I hadn't asked for a solution. Of course, because as a customer, it's my job to ensure customer satisfaction. I wasn't offered a solution even after that. Great job. I guess that because we were the same age (fairly young), I apparently wasn't taken seriously; my fault. Overall, the whole experience was pretty poor. Especially since everything together cost well over €200. Mistakes can and should happen, but treating customers like this is a complete disgrace.

My experience over the past few years has been repeated: great location, good food, not great service. Once a quarter, I find myself in this restaurant due to its proximity. The view of the harbor and the canal, far from the noise of traffic, is fantastic. The food, both steak and schnitzel, is always good. Not overwhelming, no surprise (e.g., given the portion size), but still solid and tasty. The biggest sticking point for me at this restaurant, however, is the service. This is a stroke of luck. Unfortunately, on most days, the bitter reality is: ordering more than two drinks is almost impossible, as after the initial contact and food order, a waiter will never voluntarily return to the table. The same goes for the guests at neighboring tables: wildly gesticulating guests and empty glasses. The search for a waiter who will listen to you when guests want to pay their bill becomes more intense. Without waving and calling, it's impossible to pay. Unless the space is needed, in which case it will, of course, be cleared quickly (max. 1.5 hours per table, even with reservations). Despite everything, the staff is friendly – if you actually make contact.

A lovely restaurant with a wonderful location and friendly staff. The best part, though, was my meal – the Mediterranean turkey steak. Simply delicious! It couldn't be better.

The service wasn't very attentive; we had to wait a long time for new drinks, we only received cutlery after we asked for it, and we didn't receive the dessert menu until we paid, even after asking. The fillet steak was very stringy and tough for all three guests. The fish, however, was excellent!

I once tried the schnitzel with mushrooms. It was €13 on Schnitzel Day!!! It's probably convenience food. But at that price... you'll definitely get full. A good self-service salad buffet. Staff friendly and helpful.

I don't think the price/performance ratio is quite right. The food was okay, the staff was friendly. We had metal in our food, which we reported, but all we got was an apology.

General: The decor is very tasteful, the service was very friendly and unobtrusive. At first glance at the menu, the prices seemed a bit high. Food: There were six of us there, and we ordered a varied selection: schnitzel, Croatian, and steak. The portions were large, everything was freshly prepared (you could hear the schnitzels being pounded from the kitchen), the steaks and all the other meats were cooked to perfection, and everything was delicious. Conclusion: This wasn't our last visit, and we highly recommend others to eat there. 👍👍 Update from July 8, 2025: We were there again on July 7, 2025, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We each ordered an aperitif, a bottle of wine, and water. Unfortunately, all the drinks arrived at the same time, which isn't usually the case with an aperitif order. For our main course, we ordered the beef fillet medium, and it certainly came out of the kitchen medium, although it was served on an extremely hot cast-iron plate, which meant the meat arrived well-done. Please, dear restaurateurs, always serve steaks on regular, preheated plates so that guests can enjoy their steak as ordered. Please only use the cast-iron plates if you are serving the steaks raw and the guest can cook it themselves. Then please provide a regular plate. Thank you!

Great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere right on the harbor. Very clean, comfortably furnished, and the staff is extremely friendly. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. For me, it's clearly my first choice in the area – highly recommended!

Everything went wrong here. Order was: meat skewer (2x beef, 1x pork) with fries mayo. The beef should be done. I got fried potatoes, slightly burnt. One piece of beef was bloody through the other. I pointed out the missing fries to the waiter, shortly afterwards they more or less threw them down and the waiter left immediately. My glass was empty, the fries were only lukewarm, I had to get my own mayo and also ordered my drink there. When I paid I had the feeling that I was disturbing the lady. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted something good... Well, it didn't work out. Never go there again for me. The service wasn't good, there wasn't much going on.

Was there the first and last time. I was invited, but (unfortunately) things are different. Had steak with mushrooms and fries... There was no question about the doneness of the steak. They also didn't ask if you wanted anything on the fries. What can I say? Steak was a bit too bloody for me, and the taste was just "okay". Fries probably only saw salt when they passed by. And the mushrooms looked so uniformly cut that one suspects that they were not fresh, but from a jar or can.

Service first class. Ambiance accordingly. Unfortunately the Balkan plates are very dry. Fried to death. This Steaks are really good.

Delicious food in a great location! I was in the restaurant at the marina in Bergkamen-Rünthe and tried the pork fillet raznjici - absolutely delicious! The meat was super tender and perfectly grilled, the fries were crispy and the Djuwet rice was nicely spicy. You could also help yourself to your heart's content at the salad buffet - a nice addition. The location right on the marina makes the whole thing even better. You sit comfortably, have a beautiful view of the water and can simply enjoy. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a really good visit – I’ll definitely be back!

We were at the motorhome parking lot and wanted to have a coffee after a long walk through the forest and marina. We actually didn't have an appetite, but then we ordered a cevapcici dish for both of us, which wasn't a problem. Very nice, friendly, courteous staff in a cozy restaurant. The food was very tasty. I was there for the first time today for a birthday. Great service - from the vase for the flowers to lollies for the children: everything was thought of. It was something that, in my opinion, you rarely find anymore. Very nice salad buffet and delicious schnitzels. We were allowed to pack up what was left. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. We were here very spontaneously on Christmas Day. Already on the phone they tried to reserve a table for two people. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. Despite the full house, the food came very quickly and it was all very, very tasty. We had fried mushrooms as a starter and as a main course we had the “Schnitzel Mozzarella” (breaded schnitzel, gratinated with tomato/mozzarella/hollandaise sauce) and once the “Turkey schnitzel spinach” (turkey schnitzel gratinated with spinach and hollandaise sauce and cheese). The portion size was very large and salad, as well as a large selection of sauces, were included from the buffet. All in all, highly recommended, we will definitely come back again!
