The Restaurant am Ruhrpark...I have to admit, I have lived in Alstaden since 1984, a 10-minute walk from the restaurant, but in all these years I have never stopped by there. And it wasn't even planned to stop there on this Saturday 3 weeks ago, as I was actually on foot with my extremely nice companion on the way to the Ruhr dike. Since we could still hear voices and see the light as we walked past the back entrance, the beer garden, we decided at short notice to have a drink there. As a matter of decency, we returned to enter the restaurant through the main entrance. And then the drama began. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in 48 years. An employee immediately ran towards us and asked "What do you want?", we replied politely and friendly that we would like to have something to drink and whether that was too late (it was around 11 p.m. and there were around 10 guests sitting outside at the table). . She took our order rather reluctantly and we sat down at a table in the beer garden. The waitress brought our drinks and wanted to collect immediately because they were actually already closed, "but because of them," pointing to the other guests, "that's not possible." Up until then it was "just" not very hospitable, but from then on it became...just bold. When my companion, who was also irritated, asked, the employee complained loudly that "they don't want to go there." Our bill was €7.80 for the two drinks, which I wanted to pay €8 due to the non-existent, unfriendly service. The waitress then said "10 euros, OK?" as if she hadn't heard me. I replied "No, 8 euros.", this time a little more firmly. The money was exchanged grumpily, then the waitress went in, closed the door behind her, came out again after about 5 minutes, wished you a nice evening, closed the door, this time for good, and turned off all the outside lighting so that we and they Other guests were sitting in the pitch black beer garden with our drinks; it was so dark that I could hardly see my companion on the other side of the table. Good restaurant right by the park. There is also the option to sit outside. Ideal for guests with dogs.

Restaurant at the Ruhrpark, always good. After a hike or bike ride, stop for a cold drink in the beer garden or eat outside or inside. Price and performance are right, service good, nice and friendly.

We've enjoyed eating here for years. Top service and the food is always delicious and special requests are also catered for. Unfortunately, we discovered that the new menu not only raised prices, but also removed some of our favorite dishes from the menu without replacement. So half and half has now been eliminated, although the individual components are still available as a dish. And the farmer's skewer and the Don Marco schnitzel are no longer available either. What a shame! ☹️ If it stays like this we will have to rethink whether we can still eat here regularly. Please change the map back!!!

Always worth a visit. The outdoor area is simply wonderful in summer and the price-performance ratio is right.

Unfortunately, this has nothing - absolutely nothing - to do with going out to eat or good cuisine. Practically nothing is freshly cooked here, but you probably can't expect that at 17 euros for a pepper schnitzel. Everything was bought ready-made in the metro in packs of 100. Side dishes not freshly prepared either. Even for the low price, it's a disgrace. Grill plate was inedible. Tough as a shoe sole. It's amazing that this "gastronomy" can survive at all.

I ordered a salad. I canceled the shrimp. Still had to pay full price. This could have been solved in a more customer-friendly way.

I went there for dinner twice in one week during a cycling holiday tour in Duisburg. The first time I had a cream schnitzel and on the second day a grilled plate of the house. Both dishes were excellent and not overpriced. In July we were able to sit outside on the terrace. The tables were very well protected from the sun with large umbrellas. Everything was very clean. The service was very friendly. The food came to the table very quickly after ordering. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

A very cozy restaurant where good Balkan cuisine is served by a very nice team. The portions are very generous in places, so be sure to be hungry. The restaurant also has an outdoor area where you can dine with a view of the Ruhrpark when the weather is nice. Gladly again.

I met a friend there for lunch today and all I can say is: great! From entering the restaurant to leaving everything was great. Starting with the welcome and service to the food. A lunch menu is offered from midday to afternoon (except Sundays/public holidays). The steak was very tasty and they brought us soup “on the house” beforehand. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I'll be back!

We were there without an appointment and were lucky there was a table available on the terrace. We were greeted very friendly and the service was prompt and very attentive. We ordered the ox cheeks from the daily menu, which came with soup of the day and a side salad. Everything was very tasty... We had a lovely afternoon eating.

the food was a flop. Lesser meat was served as a pepper fillet steak. Even the edge of the meat was still bloody. The pepper sauce tasted like colored water with a few peppercorns in it. I was there on a Saturday around 7:00 p.m. with my partner. It was really very full, which speaks for itself. However, it was so incredibly loud that you could hardly have a conversation. The service staff were super friendly, almost totally sweet to you. The food is simply delicious, very cozy atmosphere and affordable prices. Gladly again, just on another day of the week or outside on the terrace in the summer😂

Two people visited the restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. The ambience was very nice and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was served in a reasonable time and the portions were sufficient. The quality of the food was good. The side salad was served with yogurt dressing or vinegar/oil upon request. The restaurant has a beer garden and we will come back in the summer and test the beer garden with a view of the adjacent Ruhrpark. The beer garden is located behind the restaurant and is therefore not affected by exhaust fumes or street noise. Suitable for children...

Lovely again! Actually we just wanted a little something for lunch. This then turned into a longer stay with our two children. Nice staff and nice atmosphere.

Ein ganz toll geführtes Restaurant mit super nettem Personal und sehr leckerem Essen. Wir waren jetzt schon öfter da und gehen immer wieder gerne hin. Man fühlt sich einfach willkommen!

War früher besser.. man kann dort essen gehen, sollte aber keine großen Erwartungen haben..

Wir waren heute, (Sylvester 2023),mit 4 Personen am Abend 18.00 Uhr mit Reservierung essen. Nicht nur ,das wir vom Essen enttäuscht waren (es war mal eindeutig besser !!),sondern die Art und Weise ,wie uns mit deutlichem Ton gesagt wurde,das unser Tisch im Anschluss an unsere Reservierung, noch weiter reserviert ist.Wir haben absolut Verständnis dafür,daß in zwei Zeitabschnitten reserviert wurde ,doch uns zwei putzlappen auf den Tisch zu legen, um der Aufforderung ,den Tisch zu räumen, Nachdruck zu verleihen,ist ein absolutes No go !! Wir haben um 19.40 Uhr das Lokal verlassen. Es waren gerade mal 1Std.40 min Zeit zum Essen , und noch einen Kaffee hinterher. So"elegant"hat man uns noch aus keinem Esslokal rausgejagt. Das wird mit Sicherheit auch das erste und letztemal in dieser Lokalität gewesen sein.Unser Geld können , und werden wir in Zukunft andern Lokalen zukommen lassen,die ihre Gäste zuvorkommender behandeln,und es noch zu schätzen wissen,das der Gast in seinem Lokal gerne sein Geld ausgibt ,und das Unternehmen unterstützt. Ganz besonders,das mit der Voraussicht, ab 2024 durch Mehrwertsteuererhöhung,für die Gastronomie harte Zeiten zu erwarten sind,sollte das Konzept dieser Gastronomie doch mal überdacht werden !!

4 volwassen en 5 kinderen (0 tot 6 jaar) + hond zonder reservering. Geen enkel probleem, goedkope en complete kindergerechten. Uit eigen geste soep geserveerd om de kids rustig te houden, niet op de bon gezet. Prijs kwaliteit uitstekend, prima schnitzels en zeer smakelijke lam. uiterst gastvrije en vriendelijke houding.

War alles ganz okay, aber bei den Preisen auch das letzte mal das ich hier war. Ein Gericht kam kalt an. Die Pfeffer Soße auf dem Rumpsteak hat nach Wasser geschmeckt. (Jeder mag eine andere Würze, aber da war keine Würze) Das Steak selber war wirklich lecker, aber verglichen mit anderen auch eher mittelmäßig. Bedienung war sichtlich mit dem Andrang am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag überfordert und wir mussten etliche Male rufen bis wir mal Getränke bestellen konnten. Möglicherweise im Regel Betrieb besser, aber die Meinung hat sich schon gesetzt.

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Das Essen war schön angerichtet und sehr lecker. Eine Bedienung aus Moldawien hat uns bedient. So eine freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung ist mir bisher in noch keinem anderen Restaurant begegnet. Dieses Lokalität kann ich sehr empfehlen. Es bekommt von mir die Note: Sehr Gut.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung tut sich mit der deutschen Sprache schwer. Auf der Rechnung standen mehr Getränke als wir getrunken hatten. Die Bedienung bestand auf die Restzahlung und war sehr unprofessionell. Wir werden dieses Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.

Edit: Wir haben das Restaurant nach Ende der Coronapandemie im Sommer 2022 noch einmal besucht und ich hatte die gleiche Speise. Das Essen war frisch, hat sehr gut geschmeckt und ich war super zufrieden. Es war quasi das Gegenteil von dem gelieferten Essen während der Pandemie. Warum schreibe ich das jetzt noch? Ich denke das erlebte ist einfach der Pandemie geschuldet, in der nicht liefernde Restaurants zum liefern gezwungen wurden und ich hatte daher ein gefälschtes Bild. Das Restaurant vor Ort ist mit seinem Biergarten vor dem großen Ruhrpark ein schönes fleckchen um eine gute Speise zu genießen. Ich habe etwas zum mitnehmen bestellt, nachdem ich sehr gutes von diesem Restaurant gehört habe und war dann äußerst enttäuscht. Wir hatten die frischen Tortellini, cevapcici, Tomatensuppe und gebratenes Gemüse mit Croutons. Das Gemüse hat ganz gut geschmeckt, war mit Käse überbacken und mit Hollondais Sauce zubereitet. Das ganze war irgendwie zu deftig und das Gemüse zu weich gekocht. Die Cevapcici war sehr sehr trocken gegrillt, waren geschmacklich aber ansonsten auch in Ordnung und mit 6 waren wir auch zufrieden. Allerdings war der djuvec-Reis sehr wenig. Die Tomatensuppe hat sehr nach Tomatenmark geschmeckt und das schlimmste waren die Tortellini. Denn die haben nicht wirklich frisch geschmeckt wie deklariert, waren in Sahnesauce getränkt, und waren auch mit 6 stück wirklich wenig. ( siehe Foto ). Das ganze war nach angegebenen 25 minuten auch wirklich fertig und warm. Allerdings allerhöchstens Imbiß Qualität. Wenn ich dem gabzen Schulnoten geben müsste, hätte alles in einem mit ner 4- vielleicht gerade so bestanden. Aber hier werde ich nicht nochmal hinkommen.

Jedes Mal sehr leckere Gerichte und schönes Ambiente. Parksituation schwierig, man kann allerdings auch in den Seitenstraßen parken. ABER: für Allergiker m.E. nicht geeignet. Die Allergene sind auf der Speisekarte überhaupt nicht gut ausgeschrieben und unvollständig. Da besteht definitiv Nachholbedarf, auch im Allergiker-freundlichen Angebot.

Komme schon seit Jahren zum Essen in dieses Restaurant. Leckeres Essen und guter Service 😋

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider scheint die Speisekarte nicht aktuell zu sein und es kommt teilweise zu Missverständnissen was man letztendlich auf den Teller bekommt.

So schön ist es dort und auch der Biergarten in dem wie heute gegessen haben ist klasse Die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.
