Had a really tasty meal: Spinach dumplings on forest mushroom ragout, Stauferhörnle, Pork cheeks. And great beer. Doesn't get any better!

Food was really excellent (Ochsenbäckle with homemade Spätzle and Mostsößle). The price is a little higher, but you will also find the corresponding quality on your plate 👌🏻 The seating capacity in the restaurant is rather small, so you should definitely reserve in advance. A selected roast and a daily meal are also offered every Sunday. Service was very friendly and quick. Delicious Zötler beer from the Allgäu is served.

Nice restaurant with a large beer garden. Unfortunately the wrong dish was delivered instead of Staufen Burger (beef) I got a chicken burger despite a complaint, this burger was left here and the service was no longer a shame. Unfortunately, quality is no match for €24. For health reasons I order non-alcoholic beer because the arrogant service always confronts me with stupid sayings that these drinks are not welcome here. Something like that doesn't work at all. My family's food still tasted very good. The beer garden and benches are in need of renovation. There will be no further visits for me.

Went here for dinner with 9 people today... But honestly, we've never experienced anything like this. After about 70 minutes we asked when the food would come. We observed that people who were sitting outside and came after us got their food before us. The neighboring table, which also came after us, was served before us (some of them had ordered the same thing as us). We then got the answer: They also had an appetizer! Yes, 4 of us had one. The waiter talked at us so badly that we actually wanted to leave the restaurant. But then the food came, the spaetzle was cold, the schnitzel with fries was completely dry... We didn't have anything to drink, but we didn't ask for it. Conclusion: We can definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Spent a lovely last summer evening in the beer garden of the “old town hall”. Super tasty food and attentive service managed the rush well, with a little waiting time. Thanks for that!

I've been here several times and always thought it was great. Good food, good service from the young wait staff and beautiful garden. I always felt comfortable, especially thanks to the service of the young waiters there. Last time there was an older waiter who was a bit unpleasant and arrogant. Today again. Already very snooty upon arrival. Instead of the 1/8 wine I ordered, 1/4 came and after I pointed this out, he made disparaging comments about me to the guests at the neighboring table.

Unfortunately it really wasn't good. The beer garden itself is nice - but unfortunately a bit dingy, the playground is partly broken. When it was over 30 degrees, a warm cola came. The cream in the ice cream had curdled. The meal of the day was advertised as a natural schnitzel with chanterelles and then came breaded with dry mushrooms. When asked, they just said that the waitress who said it wasn't that great... (I actually didn't really try). Of our 6 dishes, only one thought his food was good. For the price the dishes suffer absolutely disappointing

Great beer garden with very good food

It's a shame, we've only heard good things, unfortunately we can't pass them on... If you sit on the first floor you feel deserted because no one comes. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and it is very dirty... The food came after over an hour and was burnt, partly dry and hard on the plate... I passed it on as well, unfortunately nothing came back... Unfortunately not again... In addition, everyone on the floor waited for over an hour and everyone was offered a coffee except for us in the back corner.

A very good restaurant, we were outside in the beer garden. The waiter was very nice and funny, the food was very tasty and to the point. We would be happy to come back.

The food is really first class and rustically prepared! The ambience in the beer garden is okay but the maintenance of the garden could be better for such a location! What doesn't work at all is the customer service, whether from the cashier or the reception butler - both absolutely unfriendly and snooty! Absurd jokes and gestures are made about guests - that's not possible! We would come back for food at any time, but not with this staff who think they are better!

Every dish was beautifully presented. Service was friendly but unfortunately the food only came after 1.5 hours. Wiener schnitzel 30.-! The fried chicken was so small that my husband couldn't get enough. It's a shame, we were always happy before

Nice beer garden and actually delicious food too. But for €18.50 a breaded schnitzel the size of a child's plate and a handful of fries just doesn't fit anymore. The portions have really shrunk and I think that unfortunately we won't be coming back. It's also a bit weird when the waitress knowingly brings the wrong drink (it was ordered slightly differently) and then asks if it's ok? Hmm, then we would have ordered something else... but since the service seemed pretty tired, we just took it and were just surprised. It's a shame! But unfortunately price and performance no longer match here...

Today we happened to end up in the Old Town Hall during a bike tour from Schwäbisch Gmünd to Schorndorf to have something to drink and eat after the first 15 kilometers. The crooked and finely restored house looked inviting, the beer garden is really cozy when the sun is shining, so we settled down. Conclusion: Excellent food at fair prices, the food is cooked really well, nice service and the whole thing in a relaxed atmosphere. There is also something on the menu for vegetarians (like me), and it's not a "substitute" but a fine dish: the spinach ravioli with salad was excellent. All in all, definitely recommended.

Unbelievable - there's really nothing more you can say about it. The onion roast that I ordered for just under 32 euros was a bitter disappointment and a shadow of what it was supposed to be. Instead of the desired cooking level of medium, I received an almost raw piece of meat that in no way justified its price. The service was also disappointing. The gentleman who served us showed no decency or politeness. A simple "thank you" or "please" seemed foreign to him, and overall he lacked any form of netiquette. I can only advise everyone not to be deceived by the inviting exterior of the beer garden. There are many other restaurants that are not only cheaper but also of far better quality. It's better to choose another restaurant and save yourself this disappointment

We were here on a Sunday lunchtime and didn't have a reservation. Despite the rain, we were quickly made comfortable outside under the roof. We sat well there and ate very well. We'd love to come back!

After the 5 of us had to wait at least 15 minutes in the garden for a place to be assigned to us and after 20 minutes still no one came, we decided that they didn't need us as guests. The service staff at the counter could see there clearly, but didn't move an inch in that direction. There would have been enough seats, but after standing in front of the beer garden for 20 minutes, we decided that a place like that probably wouldn't want any new guests, so we switched to one where the service staff was more attentive. Thanks to Meteora, also in Plüderhausen.

The food is still delicious, but the originally great side salad is only a shadow of its former self. Prices will be significantly higher in 2024, at the same level as in Stuttgart on Königstrasse. It's a shame, you'll probably think twice about stopping there when you're hungry.

The service was completely overwhelmed and unfriendly. Then a meal and a drink were forgotten. Both the forgotten food and the drink were still cheekily added to the bill. The crowning glory of this disastrous evening was that they didn't even get a “sorry” out of it. If I could give minus stars, then the Old Town Hall in Plüderhausen would definitely get more than one. Next time it's better to go to the local competition, because at least customers are valued.

Very good, tasty and fresh food with creative ideas on a good, middle-class Swabian basis. We like it every time and the menu is large enough for everyone to find what they are looking for. There is a good selection of beer and the service is always friendly and courteous. 5* for everyone, we will come back more often.

Yes, that was really exceptionally good... We were invited to celebrate a family celebration there last weekend and were well looked after from the first arrival to the packing of the leftovers - the portions were more than sufficient. The service was outstanding, the food was great and the atmosphere was great.

We got there on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at around 3 p.m. Another couple came with us at the same time. The food came quicker than you had chosen. There were other guests in the larger part of the restaurant, but they had apparently already eaten. The service staff were friendly and approachable. The guest room is divided into two. The larger part, as well as the modern toilets, can only be reached via stairs. This can be a challenge for people with walking difficulties. My wife had the small sauerbraten (€21) and was very satisfied. I took the Schultheis Schnitzel. That was ok, but I had imagined it to have a more intense flavor when marinated in mustard. I don't know if it was actually baked in the pan, it didn't taste like it. It was like schnitzel usually is. At €22, a proud price for a pork schnitzel (2 pieces) and long, deep-fried, thin, "scraped" potato slices. I was full after a 4-hour hike from the neighboring valley. By the way, in the online menu today (19.3.24) both dishes are still shown as €3 cheaper than they cost in the restaurant, just like last Sunday. But that could also be because the prices on the Internet are pick-up prices. But that is not obvious when it says: MENU also available for pickup Maybe I have a language problem. We had dinner with friends in the old town hall. What particularly impresses us is the regional source of food. The food was very good that evening. There was a special roast menu with great variations. We always had to wait a little long for service and then also for the food.

It is in a listed building. Lots of wood. That's what makes it so comfortable. In summer there is a beer garden and a playground for children. Always happy 👍👍

Everything is perfect, keep it up

We had dinner there with 25 people. Most were over 60 years old. When we asked one of the two bosses what was available for lunch, we were told to scan the QR code. If you get an answer like that from a boss, I think something is going wrong. I am a trained restaurant specialist and during my training I was taught to be polite, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests. I also don't like the tactics of the old town hall. The penultimate time, we were the first guests, there was absolutely nothing going on and we still had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The staff then said that the longer people sit and wait, the more they drink and that's how we make our money. Unfortunately, there are hardly any restaurants with German cuisine anymore, but that doesn't mean you have to accept everything, right??? If it's in my hands, the old town hall won't make any more money from me!!!

Great waiters and excellent food.

Experiment "living sugar-free" - I knew that it would be difficult if you went out to eat. When I asked, I was assured that there was definitely no sugar in meat dishes without sauce. (What are the schnitzels breaded with, if not with breadcrumbs, in which there is - right - sugar in the dough?) I couldn't order a schnitzel without breading, which shows me that they aren't freshly breaded on site. So be it. I chose the onion roast without onions and sauce. They wouldn't dress the salad for me, but would provide vinegar and oil. The meat was okay, the fries were tasty and sufficient. Then I wanted to try the salad, but it was dressed. Unfortunately, it took forever before someone came to check on us. When I asked if everything was correct, I replied: "Almost. They wanted to bring me a salad without dressing." - "Oh, okay. I'll pass it on." Aha. I waited in vain for a fresh salad. Apart from directly after the meal, no one asked us if we wanted any other drinks or anything like that. The tip that I gave the lady in cash while paying by card, she inserted the money without a word - thanks for nothing. She was probably still upset that we didn't say straight away that we wanted to pay by card. Even though we did, she didn't hear it and seemed annoyed. Considering how many staff were sometimes gathered in the kitchen, I honestly don't understand why so little attention was paid to us. Such a detailed review would certainly not be necessary and I have been a guest there several times and have been quite satisfied. But last night's visit simply had nothing to do with good service, I'm sorry.

Sehr gutes Essen, gute Portionen. Leider haben wir mehr als eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten müssen. Auf der Karte gibt es auch vegetarische Gerichte, aber der Veganer unter uns musste sich eine 'Sonderanfertigung' bestellen. Und sein Salat kam dann völlig ohne Dressing, nach Essig und Öl musste er extra fragen. Das denkmalgeschützte Haus ist liebevoll renoviert worden, das Ambiente wirkt keinesfalls altbacken. Service war ok, wirkte aber ineffizient bzw. leicht überfordert.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Schönes Ambiente in einem alten Fachwerkhaus! Super freundlicher Service und beim Essen gibt's nix zu meckern! Besser geht nicht...richtig lecker!!

War heute am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag im alten Rathaus mit meinem Mann und seiner Familie und ich muss sagen, dass Essen, der Service und das schnuckelige Zimmer direkt unterm Dach ein Traum 🏠🧆🥩 Selten so gut gegessen Auch die Schwiegereltern und meine beiden Schwagers waren geplättet Jederzeit gerne wieder Grüße Florian

Gutes Essen, selbstgemachte sousen, die etwas zu dunkel aussehen. Ich fand dass es mit dem essen etwas zu lang dauert. Nette Bedienung.

Anlass: Weihnachtsfeier geschäftlich Positiv: Reservierung vorab problemlos, extra Zimmer für uns, sehr schönes Ambiente im ersten Stock. Sehr leckeres Essen, Soße manchmal zu dominant. Negativ: Halbe Stunde nach Ankunft noch keine Karte bekommen oder Getränke aufgenommen. Weitere halbe Stunde später Getränke bekommen, allerdings da es verschiedene Kellner waren, mehrmaliges nachfragen nach vorhandene Wein. Leider wenig Auswahl, da viel schon vergriffen war an Wein. Weitere Halbe Stunde später konnten wir Essen bestellen, leider war wieder einiges aus. Die Kellnerin ist mit ihrer Art und Weise, sowie Lautstärke und Ton ihrer Kommunikation sehr in Erinnerung geblieben, nämlich keinesfalls positiv. Um 21 Uhr auf Nachfrage ( nach unten an die Bar gegangen) die Dessertkarte bekommen. Um 21.30 Dessertbestellung noch Grade so möglich da die Küche schließt. Einzelne Kugel Eis nicht vorhanden, aber im Eisbecher schon? Nicht verständlich! Leere Teller die ganze Zeit über auf dem Tisch, bis Ende! Kaum Möglichkeiten Getränke nachzubestellen, man fühlt sich dann im ersten Stock trotz tollem Ambiente wirklich im Stich gelassen. Leckeres Essen aber Service wirklich für diese Preisklasse schlecht. Komme nicht wieder. Sehr schade.

Das Essen im Alten Rathaus ist immer wieder super. Unfassbar lecker und tolle Qualität. Die Servicekräfte sind immer hochmotiviert und auf Zack. Ich gehe immer wieder gerne ins Alte Rathaus. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die abwechselnde Saisonkarte. Sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

War das erste Mal hier und sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. So ein gemütliches Restaurant hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gesehen. Sehr sehr nette Bedienungen, Preis Leistung top . Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf kommenden Sommer. Man kann auch draußen sitzen. Einfach Klasse 👍👍

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Essen war super lecker und wurde toll präsentiert. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Für Veganer gab es leider nicht viel außer Salat. Vegetarische Essen wurden angeboten.

Waren als kleine Gesellschaft dort. Chaos pur bei der Bestellannahme, das war total durcheinander, anstatt einen nach dem anderen aufzunehmen. Essen hat fast 1,5 Stunden gedauert bis es am Tisch war. Kaffee eine knappe halbe Stunde. Zum Zeitpunkt des Lokaleintritts waren 4 oder 5 weitere Gäste anwesend. Keine Nachfrage, ob was zum knabbern etc gewünscht wird, wenn man so lange warten muss. Dann, essen leicht fad und max LAUWARM auf KALTEN Teller serviert. Schade, denn heiss wäre es evtl nicht schlecht gewesen. Und das bei einigen Gerichten. Ein Inhaber, der sich im schmutzigen Baumfällerhemd duzend seinen Gästen präsentiert die er nicht kennt. Das macht man so nicht, das ist unhöflich. Es sei denn man geht in eine Kneipe. Wenn das der Anspruch ist, ok. Fazit: Wer alleine oder zu 2. kommt da ist es möglicherweise ok, als Gesellschaft leider nicht empfehlenswert, da das Personal hoffnungslos überfordert ist. Das war mal anders. Hier hat das Rathaus einigen Nachholbedarf. Wären besser im Adler aufgehoben gewesen. Günstiger wäre es auch gewesen.

Alles Top von Anfang bis Ende kann man nur weiterempfehlen

Wir waren zum Abendessen an einem Freitag im Alten Rathaus. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort zum essen, und müssen feststellen, dass die Organisation in diesem Restaurant immer katastrophaler wird... Das Essen ist wirklich gut, aber wenn man einen entspannten Abend genießen möchte, dann besser nicht mehr ins Alte Rathaus am Wochenende. Es ging schon damit los, dass wir nach dem Platz nehmen ganze 30 Minuten warten mussten, bis wir überhaupt mal Getränke bestellen konnten. Diese waren dann nach weiteren 15 Minuten endlich da. Ähnlich ging es mit dem Essen, das wir bestellt hatten. Uns fiel auch auf, dass es unter den Servicekräften scheinbar keine Einteilung für bestimmte Tische gibt. Jeder macht irgendwie alle Tische... Entweder wird man 30 Minuten gar nicht auf eine Bestellung angesprochen, oder es kommen dann bis zu drei Servicekräfte nacheinander, die eine Bestellung aufnehmen möchten. Auch an den umliegenden Tischen haben wir Unmut mitbekommen wegen sehr langen Wartezeiten. Auch beim Bezahlen hatten wir 20 Minuten auf die Rechnung gewartet, um dann gesagt zu bekommen, dass wir am besten an der Kasse direkt zahlen sollten... Ein entspannter Abend sieht anders aus. Wir waren nach dem Besuch wirklich angenervt, und werden erst mal nicht mehr ins Alte Rathaus gehen. Hoffentlich merkt mal einer der Verantwortlichen, dass viel verbessert werden könnte, wenn die wirklich bemühten Servicekräfte einen Bereich zugewiesen bekommen würden, für den sie zuständig sind.

Gemütliches Lokal das immer wieder gern von uns besucht wird. Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker, es ist eine gleich bleibende Qualität und das Personal ist immer freundlich. Waren am Samstag zum ersten Mal mit Freunden dort, die auch sehr begeistert waren und selber mit Freunden wiederkommen werden. Wir können dieses Lokal nur weiterempfehlen und waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal dort.

Ich war zum 1. Mal im Alten Rathaus. Geburtstagsfeier meines Schwagers und ich war sehr begeistert! Gute Atmosphäre, Stimmung und sehr netter Service. Unsere Essen waren köstlich. Alle waren sehr zufrieden. Ich komme auf alle Fälle wieder!

Würde heute nicht mal ein Stern geben. Aber leider war das Essen sehr lecker. Man wartet erstmal 20min auf ein bestellten Tisch. Nach über einer Stunde hat man immer noch kein Essen. Am Nachbartisch wird die Bestellung später aufgegeben und wird früher gebracht. Also heute kann ich nicht viel positives berichten.

Essen schmeckt super. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Preise sind normal. Leider war mein Salat im Salatteller etwas eingefallen, der Rest was aber sehr lecker.

Das Restaurant Altes Rathaus hat mich insgesamt positiv überrascht. Das Essen, das wir genossen haben, war solide zubereitet und geschmacklich ansprechend. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte bot für jeden Geschmack etwas Passendes. Was das Alte Rathaus wirklich auszeichnet, ist das überaus freundliche Personal. Vom Moment unserer Ankunft bis zur Abreise wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und zuvorkommend bedient. Die Mitarbeiter schienen echtes Interesse an unserem Wohl zu haben, was unser Abendessen zu einem angenehmen Erlebnis machte. Das Ambiente draußen verdient ebenfalls Lob. Die Außenterrasse ist wirklich schön gestaltet und bietet eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders an warmen Abenden ist es ein Genuss, hier zu speisen. Insgesamt kann ich das Restaurant Altes Rathaus mit vier Sternen bewerten. Es bietet eine solide kulinarische Erfahrung, ein freundliches Team und ein charmantes Ambiente im Freien. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Tolles, rustikales Ambiente, leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service und Liebe zum Detail. Eine empfehlenswerte Location, nicht nur zur Biergartenzeit. Im Alten Rathaus Plüderhausen, sind wir schon öfter eingekehrt. Neulich erst wieder spontan in den Biergarten zum Abendessen. Wie immer wurden wir mit einem Lächeln empfangen und so positiv war wieder der gesamte Besuch. Der freundliche Service ist immer hilfsbereit und schnell, auch wenn viel los ist. Das “Schultheiss“ Schnitzel, die panierte Hähnchenkeule, der schwäbische Zwiebelrostbraten oder einfach mal einen der Salate sind für mich sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Viele Gerichte auch als vegetarische Variante vorhanden. Das Weinauswahl bietet abwechslungsreiches Angebot, auch regionaler Tropfen. Wer Lust auf Allgäuer Bier hat, wird hier fündig. Das alte Rathaus bietet schwäbischen, bayrischen oder Tiroler Flair mit Freundlichkeit, so dass der Besuch (für mich) bisher immer eine Freude war. Weiter so.

Gartensalat war nur grüner Salat, Schweinelendchen waren zu stark durchgebraten,d.h.: zu trocken.

Hervorragendes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Schade dass es auf den Holzbänken keine Sitzauflagen gibt.

Hervorragende bürgerliche Küche. Regionale Gerichte aber jedes Gericht hat etwas besonderes. Bei jedem Essen merkt man hier wird Wert auf Handwerk und Qualität gelegt. Schwäbisch, urig und gemütlich, für uns das beste Lokal in der Gegend. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her.

Eigentlich ganz nett zu sitzen, wenn man reserviert und draußen schattich hocken kann. Drin ist’s nicht ist so spannend, aber dafür haben wir gegen 18h ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz bekommen. Später wird’s voll. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, das Essen echt in Ordnung und die Preise fair.

Sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksames Personal. Das „Hörnle“ ist besonders zu empfehlen.
