Restaurant Almaz in Bremen

Unfortunately, I was very negatively impressed this time. I was more satisfied in the past, but the quality has unfortunately declined significantly since then. We actually wanted to eat à la carte as usual and order dishes from the menu. However, the waiter specifically recommended the buffet – and that's the only reason we chose this option. In retrospect, that was unfortunately a mistake. Positive: ⭐ Reasonable prices ⭐ The ambiance remained the same and was pleasant Negative: ❌ A big 3-star deduction for the food quality and the buffet organization. • The food at the buffet was mostly cold rather than hot. • The various varieties were not regularly refilled or were not refilled at all because, according to the waiter, "they were already gone." All in all, it was unfortunately not a pleasant evening at this restaurant. Therefore, it's hard for me to imagine visiting the restaurant again.

Humans linger in restlessness, restlessly searching for that quiet joy that finds its fulfillment in togetherness and in physical pleasure. This happened to us as well. On the eternal pilgrimage through the streets of the city, which in its essence resembles the human soul—a tangle of corridors and streets—we were once again drawn to that place called Almaz, a place on Vegesacker Straße, whose food promises to satisfy the cravings of the stomach and warm the heart. My wife, in her constancy, which so often gives me cause for admiration, chose the familiar, a kebab. But I, driven by that curiosity that plunges people into so many abysses, but occasionally also leads to unexpected insights, dared to face the unknown. A steak beckoned from a separate menu, the price of which—barely twenty euros—aroused my skepticism. How could so much come from so little good? But what is human judgment if not blind until it has been tested? Time seemed to stand still, a full forty-five minutes, a period that sometimes puts the mind to the test, as inner impatience battles against outward calm. In the past, yes, in the past, this period was shortened with a small appetizer, a friendly greeting from the kitchen that made the wait more bearable. This was denied us this time, leaving us with a slight feeling of lack. But when the food was finally served, all complaints fell silent. My steak, although not prepared to the perfection of a famous steakhouse, was astonishingly tender. It was as if the chef had imbued the meat with a soul that surrendered itself to the palate as it was consumed. It was a match of price and value that is rarely found in such purity. My wife's meal was equally excellent. We left the Almaz in complete satisfaction. Although we were denied the starter and the wait was long, the quality of the main courses made up for any inconvenience. After all, what are small flaws compared to the happiness of a full stomach and a content heart? The imperfections may exist in small things, but the whole—the feeling of satiety and the enjoyment of the meal—is genuine.

Each dish was lovingly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The mantoo (steamed dumplings with minced meat and lentils) were a highlight – delicately seasoned, tenderly cooked, and perfectly complemented with yogurt sauce and lentils. Ambience – Authentic, warm, and inviting. An atmosphere of calm and comfort. Afghan/Persian music played softly in the background, adding to the cozy atmosphere without being intrusive. You don't feel like a guest here – you feel at home. Service – Hospitality like you rarely experience The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I received a warm welcome upon arrival, was shown my seat with a smile, and everything was explained to me in a loving manner – from the dishes to the cultural background. Every request was fulfilled immediately, but never intrusively. The service was patient, genuinely interested, and a warmth that you only feel from people who put their heart and soul into it. Conclusion: A place you don't just visit, but experience This Afghan restaurant is far more than just a place to eat – it's an experience, a journey through culture, flavor, and genuine warmth. I will definitely return, not just for the delicious food, but also for the people who run this place with so much love. Five stars are almost too few. If you want to experience authentic, traditional Afghan food in an authentic setting with wonderful hospitality, this is the place for you.

Last Friday, I attended the company Christmas party at Almaz. The staff was very friendly and attentive to everyone present. The buffet was incredibly delicious, a flavor explosion. The men had various cuts of meat. Side dishes included rice 🍚, fries 🍟, and vegetables. The spinach was creamy and flavorful, and the delicious grilled eggplant in 🍅 sauce and okra rounded everything off. Excellent cuisine deserves 5 🌟 ✨️ stars!!!!

Very decent little restaurant with reasonable prices

We were here for the first time yesterday. We had a buffet with everything possible, I tried everything and it was all very, very tasty. I can only recommend it.

I had the pleasure of visiting Almaz Restaurant in Bremen and it was an absolute delight! The starter was a delicious soup that was perfectly seasoned and served pleasantly warm. The grill plate was a real highlight - the selection of meat was excellent, everything was grilled to perfection and wonderfully aromatic. The side dishes rounded the whole thing off perfectly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience that I can only recommend! Many thanks to the Almaz team – I’ll be happy to come back!

Great food, made with love. Prices are very very cheap. Grill plate for 3 people only costs €68 and everyone was fed up. The quality of the food is very, very good. Very nice waitresses. Only the ambience seems a bit old-fashioned and kitschy, but that doesn't detract from the food experience. Clear recommendation in Walle!

We were there last night. I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. I just knew I really wanted the delicious rice. The waiter asked me if I wanted to eat meat and recommended a dish! Great recommendation. It was tasty and filling! Since then I've always eaten number 10. And the delicious yogurt sauce is a dream. I can't get enough of it :-)!

A restaurant with Persian cuisine in the heart of Walle. Whether sitting outside and watching the hustle and bustle on Vegesacker Str. or eating the tasty food inside - it's always a good choice. Both meat and vegetarian dishes are on the pleasantly clear menu. All Halal, preferably lamb and poultry. The lamb shank is cooked as mince or in a piece, grilled or out of the oven. The rice is very good, especially everything delicately seasoned with the oriental spices that I love so much. Overall: Good and cheap.

I went here for dinner as part of a large group. The service was well organized despite the large group and the food was served relatively quickly. The food itself was plentiful and very good, and in my opinion the price-performance ratio was right. I'll definitely come here to eat again.

We were guests here with 32 people. The very nice waitress accepted our drinks and food requests. The drinks came quickly. A little later, everyone's food arrived almost at the same time. It's fantastic what the kitchen does here. Of course everything was very tasty. A real recommendation.

I am an Afghan and would like to say very loudly that Almaz is a fine restaurant for Afghan and Persian food and would be happy to recommend it. But I always like it myself.

Tandoori Djudje entspricht nicht der Karte, war zu wenig, zu teuer, bin mit Hunger nach Hause. Ambiente billig, lieblos. Personal war freundlich.

Wir waren von der Auswahl der Speisen und vor allem von dem unglaublichen Geschmack dieser fernöstlichen Köstlichkeiten begeistert. Weiter so!

Ab jetzt eins meiner Lieblingsrestaurants! Köstlich was uns noch eine halbe Stunde vor Küchenschluss frisch zubereitet wurde und von einem aufmerksamen,sehr freundlichen Gastrofachmann serviert wurde. i'll be back!

Sehr leckeres Essen und super Service.

Ich wurde eingeladen und wusste nicht was für Leckereien in den Seitenstraßen in Walle so lauern. Eher machen die meisten einen großen Bogen um diese Stadtteile aber ehrlich gesagt sind die meisten auf der falsche Fährte. Das Fleisch war mega zart und frisch gut angebraten und schön lecker Gewürz im Reis war Safran beigemischt und wird normalerweise wie Gold gehandelt. Echt super Restaurant hier könnt ihr mit guten Gewissen mit der ganzen Familie essen gehen.

Das hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, wir kommen gerne wieder :)

In dieses Restaurant gehe ich unglaublich gerne. Mit meinem Mann war ich schon paar Mal dort essen und vorgestern hab ich meine Freundin dort hin mitgenommen. Das Lokal ist klein und sehr gemütlich. Man wird immer sehr herzlich empfangen und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Essen ist frisch und authentisch. Ich liebe die Mantu und konnte daher erst einziges Mal was anderes bestellen. Die Portionen sind groß, aber für den Nachtisch hat man noch Platz. Ich würde jedem empfehlen dieses Restaurant zu besuchen und probiert unbedingt das Safraneis!

Von außen ist das Restaurant eher unscheinbar, wir wären wohl vorbei gegangen. Unser Sonderwunsch bei einem Gericht, war kein Thema. Die 3 Fleischspieße vom Grill …… top. Saftig, gut gewürzt, lecker ! Preis/Leistung wirklich gut. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir sind über das City2two Heft auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service bzw. alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. An ein paar Dingen sollte aber ggf. noch gearbeitet werden. Das wären die Präsentation des Essens und die Optik des Gastraums. Einen Punkt dafür abzuziehen wäre zu hart, daher liebe 5 (4,5) Punkte.

Wir haben hier zum ersten Mal afghanisch probiert und das Essen hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Essen hat uns sehr gemundet. Es ist definitiv ein weiterer Besuch wert. Wir haben afghanische (manti) mantu Und basmati Reis mit Hähnchen bestellt.

Authentisches Persisches als auch Afghanisches Essen. Zwei ähnliche Küchen die jedoch unterschiedlich sind und hier meisterhaft zubereitet werden. Die Grillplatte ist von hervorragender Fleischqualität. Der Service ist typisch orientalisch gastfreundlich. Wer authentisch persisch essen möchte in Bremen ist hier genau richtig.

Vielleicht stellt man sich unter einem Persischen Restaurant etwas anderes vor. Jedenfalls werde ich persönlich nicht mehr dort essen gehen.

Wir waren heute im Almaz und haben dort sehr lecker gespeist. Da wir sehr früh im Lokal waren, war es noch leer. Der Service war hervorragend und die Speisen waren heiß und sehr appetitlich angerichtet. Lediglich das Getränk hat meiner Begleitung nicht geschmeckt, da es salzig war. Mir hingegen hat alles geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Von daher möchte ich dem Lokal volle Punkte geben. Wir waren heute mit 11 Personen da. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bedienung super freundlich und total verständnisvoll, obwohl wir Kinder dabei hatten, die nicht die ganze Zeit sitzen geblieben sind. Uns wurden auch die Sonderwünsche erfüllt und, obwohl wir im hinteren Bereich in einem extra Raum saßen, wurde immer wieder gefragt, ob alles ok ist oder ob wir noch etwas brauchen. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Die haben viel mehr als 5 Sterne verdient!

Ein Restaurant das Eindruck hinterlassen hat! Da ich nicht wusste, was mich kulinarisch erwarten würde, war ich noch skeptisch aber die beiden absolut herzlichen Brüder zusammen mit dem wirklich gutem Essen haben, mich eindeutig davon überzeugt, doch öfter mal die afghanisch/ persische Küche zu probieren. Google hat mich dahin gelotst und ich wurde sehr positive überrascht noch nie hatte ich persische Chelo kabab außerhalb Iran so genossen wie in Almaz. Meine vorherigen Empfehlungen muss ich revidieren, Almaz ist absofort meine absolute favorite da min. 3 Sterne mehr verdient als anderen.

Schlimmsten Manti (Mantu) die ich je gegessen hab. Überflutet mit Gewürzen und Minzgeschmack. Wenig Auswahl auf der Karte. Service okay. Erhoffen sich nur Trinkgeld.

Unser Lammfleisch war aus Pute. Fast 50€ für 2 Personen ausgegeben und in den Bildern sieht man wie dünn unser Putengrill ist. Neuer Vodka(360) wurde nicht auf gemacht, da der andere Vodka erst alle werden musste( andere Marke)... War nicht zu frieden

Bestes persisches Restaurant in Walle!

Am 23.03.22 hier zu zweit gegessen und beide hatten wir Lammkeule mit Reis auf afghanische Art. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Einrichtung einfach und um 17:00 Uhr in der Woche noch recht leer. Es wird zwar als persisches Lokal geführt, ist aber in Wirklichkeit ein afghanisches Lokal mit eher afghanischen Gerichten. Diese sind den persischen Gerichten ähnlich, daher fällt es uns Deutschen kaum auf, mein Begleiter war allerdings selbst Perser. Das Essen war von guter Qualität und hat lecker geschmeckt. Es gibt allerdings nur 4 Sterne, da wirkliche afghanische Küche doch ein wenig mehr opulenter mit Gewürzen und Zutaten ist, als uns hier kredenzt wurde. Ansonsten gut verdiente 4 Sterne ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
