Restaurant Akropolis in Kitzingen

I love being there - I've been a guest off and on for over 30 years. The waitresses are uniquely friendly, you have to feel comfortable. The food is delicious and the portions are more than sufficient. Price/performance is great. 5 stars

Visit November 3rd, 2024 at lunchtime - service was very friendly and quick - dishes were served together after a short preparation time. The portions were visually attractively placed on the plates, of a filling size and very tasty. Gladly again!!!

Lange Jahre waren wir hier Stammgäste, aber leider sind die Preise nach oben durchgeknallt. Erst kam ein Preis-Anschub durch den Anbau einer Terrasse, dann Corona und jetzt gab es schon wieder einen Preisschub. Sehr schade!

Very nice atmosphere and very tasty food. The restaurant was completely full and the service handled it brilliantly. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We went there for the first time today (on a recommendation) and we were very impressed. We will definitely come back.

Stopped in transit and what can I say? We are thrilled. Great Greek restaurant with service that you don't often experience these days. Value for money is top class. We had a gyros pita plate from the lunch section and one of the best gyros we have ever eaten. Deserved 5 stars. Thank you very much!

Were in transit. Went after the Google review. Top! The best Greek restaurant we have been to so far. And there were quite a few. Cozy, great food, all the waitresses were very nice. Price/performance also very good. (2 meals, 2 drinks €36.40 + tip) Good portions. We still got space even though we didn't have a reservation :) We'd love to come back. The only small point of criticism: we were in the next room. It could have been a little warmer.

Simply an authentic Greek restaurant. Everything is just right in this restaurant. We got a table without a reservation, even though it was very busy that evening. The service is very competent and friendly. The food was super tasty. We would be happy to come back and can recommend it to others with a clear conscience.

Very friendly, attentive employees, which is no longer a given these days. The food was consistently great. All grilled meat dishes were juicy and perfectly cooked. Tzatziki very cheeky. The portions are large and there is no shortage of ouzo either. We'll be back! And that won't last long. 😁

An excellent restaurant. We were there for the first time today and were warmly welcomed. The food was very tasty, also a generous portion, which I can eat some more for lunch tomorrow. We were given the ouzo as a gift, plus one on top and a house drink. The ambience is enchanting, a great Greek restaurant where you feel at home. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. We can highly recommend it. And even though it's over an hour's drive, we'll be back. Thanks to the entire service team for the wonderful stay. Many people can learn a lot from the great service.

Staff extremely nice and friendly and very fast. Service at the highest level. You can tell that the team here puts their hearts into what they do. The kitchen is on point and delivers extremely high quality. There's a lot going on there because no other can offer this quality within a 100km radius. Best Greek 🙏 always happy

Delicious food, great prices and incredibly friendly staff. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very warm and stuffy, so I had to go out into the fresh air several times. In addition, the toilets are too narrow and in need of renovation.

We enjoyed being guests in the Acropolis right from the start. The food, service and ambience are simply great. That's why Akropolis is and remains our absolute favorite restaurant.

Very good Greek restaurant. Large menu with a pleasing number of fish dishes. The food tastes very good. The only drawback is that all tables were booked for a long time. As a tourist you only get niche times like we have today from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. actually too short but better than no space at all

We had never experienced anything like this before: without a reservation, we got a table in a full restaurant in a very short time, only for an hour, but we were then able to finish our meal in peace. The service staff around us were very committed to fulfilling all guests' wishes. The food came quickly, it was very good, we were completely satisfied and could only be amazed at how great the service was! Great!

The Akropolis restaurant is very authentically Greek! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, even when it was very busy. The food was delicious, what we particularly liked were the lamb souvlaki! This is rarely found in Greek restaurants! The ouzo meze are also highly recommended. When we asked, we were even shown the special type of Ouzo, as I said, very, very friendly staff. We will definitely eat there more often.

Very good Greek, I would also say the best in the area. Portions plentiful, gyros very tasty. Have ordered to be picked up. Everything went smoothly. But!! The salad urgently needs to be worked on, you can't even call it a salad... it's more for the rabbit hutch. Therefore 1 star deducted. Otherwise we are satisfied and apart from the salad, this remains our regular Greek dish.

Very nice and courteous service, food to our liking (lamb skewers with garlic potatoes) and lots of free ouzo 🤪 they were almost offended by the good tip and didn't want to accept it at first 🫣

Went to the motorhome parking lot in Kitzingen for a weekend. Then we went to the Acropolis with friends. Super nice service, large selection of dishes for vegetarians. Food top. Price/performance top. Had dinner again the next evening. If we didn't have to travel 220 km, that would be our regular Greek.

Went there for the first time due to the majority of positive reviews and were not disappointed. Were received very friendly by the boss and staff. The restaurant was quite full on Thursday. But a table for two people wasn't a problem. The food was simply delicious and the prices were very fair. The next time we're in the area we'll definitely stop there again.

A nice atmosphere with a good menu. Vegetarian options were also on the menu. The shop seems to be buzzing and was also very busy on Sunday evening. Price performance okay. Service pretty quick. Vegetarian was good. The service crew spreads a certain Hectic because the distances are longer. Some people like the individual charm, which can also be a little strange. Nevertheless, the overall picture is good and a repetition cannot be ruled out.

Ordered by phone and was initially held on the line for a few minutes. Our rice was so greasy that it leaked all over the bag and also into the food. The side salad had brown spots on some of the leaves and some of it had already accumulated. We haven't ordered here for a long time and we're reluctant to do so again in the future. The staff at pickup was friendly.

We had an enjoyable dinner here, in this very lively Greek restaurant. The owners are very friendly and attentive, bringing shots of Ouzo as a welcome aperitif, when we were waiting a few minutes to place our order, and pretty much whenever they felt like it. We ordered the Rhodos sampler platter for two, but it was difficult for the two of us to finish it. I think the grilled beef strips were my favorite and the souvlaki was also great. Unfortunately, no room left for dessert, but the manager brought us two liqueurs to finish off the evening.

A real beer garden with a large playground for children. Swing, slide, trampoline, sandpit and balance bike/tricycles available.

Food and portion size really great. Service was a bit spotty at first, but not rude. But then it worked perfectly. My husband and I were absolutely thrilled. We will definitely come back.

Christo's shop was buzzing as always because of the fantastic cuisine here. So it took a little longer to get the food today, but the boss informed us about it at reception, was friendly as always, apologized to the guests several times and generously gave out free drinks. First class service, full marks!!

Were there for a birthday party. How others get an average rating of 4.6 stars is a mystery to me. Food was OK, but nothing more. As usual, calamari was more like bubble gum, meat was OK, but not great either. The starters were quite good, although we had much better ones at the “Kongruenz” in Kitzingen. All in all, considering the price, it was fairly suitable, but we'd still prefer to go somewhere else in the future.

This is one of the best Greek restaurants I have ever seen. I was passing through Kitzingen and this place was recommended to me. I have no regrets, the food was very good, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was nice. I will only add that I was here in the middle of the week and the place was full, which speaks for itself. I highly recommend it.
