Restaurant Akropolis in Kitzingen

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed today. The food tasted okay, but the portions (including side dishes) were very modest and very greasy. We're used to things differently here. Service was friendly.

The rustic atmosphere is inspiring. A large selection of excellent hot and cold dishes. Highly recommended. Always friendly service, no matter what's going on. The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable.

Good food, good and polite staff, good prices and large portions, also very clean, I highly recommend it.

You immediately feel welcome. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. We received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our entire stay. The food was a real highlight: freshly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and beautifully presented. The authentic Greek specialties, served with great attention to detail, deserve special mention. Overall, a wonderful experience – we will definitely be back and can recommend Akropolis to anyone looking for high-quality Greek cuisine in Kitzingen!

What an amazing 🔨 restaurant!!! We were passing through on our way home when I suddenly noticed this Greek restaurant. The atmosphere and the staff were truly TOP, TOP, TOP. I had the grilled liver with fries, my wife had gyros with fries, and we really, really enjoyed it 👍. The side salad and the warm bread 🍞 were also simply delicious 😋. The restaurant also offered us an ouzo before the meal and a small drink 🍸 after the meal. The price was more than reasonable 👍 👌 It definitely wasn't our choice. We'd be happy to come back

We were here with a large group of about 40 people. The service was super fast, attentive, and very friendly, and the food arrived at the same time despite different dishes! We'd love to come back!

We were at the restaurant on June 10, 2025, where we had invited a friend. We ordered three different dishes, first appetizers. The main course was lukewarm except for the fries and barely edible. I complained to the waiter, who took note of it without comment. No apology, nothing. I am very disappointed.

Everything we've tried from the varied menu has always been delicious. We particularly appreciate the good service and Greek hospitality.

Five stars is quite an achievement, but four stars would be lower than average, which wouldn't be appropriate. We had a very good meal here. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was perfect. The price/performance ratio was good. Greek cuisine isn't reinvented here, but it doesn't need to be. Everything was excellent.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The food was top quality and very tasty. As the picky eater i am i usually have trouble eating but here i was able to actually enjoy all the food! The food was delicious, but was just not thrown on the table. You haven't put down the fork yet when the plate is taken away again. We got the strong impression that guests were being ushered out as quickly as possible.

Simply the best Greek restaurants in the area.

Today was our third time at Akropolis. Whenever we're passing through Munich, we always like to make a pit stop at the parking lot on the Main River. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to get us a table at short notice. Even our dog was very welcome. Ordering was very quick, and the food arrived very quickly. The entire team is very well organized (everything ran smoothly), and everyone is very, very nice. They don't skimp on the ouzo—it's on the house. We'll definitely be back. 6 ⭐️ out of 5 🌟, I almost forgot to mention that the grilled pepperoni to start with, as well as the crispy gyro (not the greasy stuff like elsewhere) were delicious. Also the flambéed Metaxa at the end—highly recommended!

In the middle of the week, the shop is buzzing and is already packed at 6 p.m. Good sign. From the outside it looks like there are only five tables, but the restaurant is surprisingly large. Service is quick and friendly, Ouzo is on the house. Inexpensive, at least for northern German standards. Food tasty and plentiful. We were more than satisfied.

Das Essen ist hervorragend genauso wie der Service , die Freundlichkeit und die immer äußerst liebe Begrüßung-egal wie voll der Laden ist . Der Chef ist ein Gastronom mit Herzblut -ebenso seine sehr freundliche Söhne .Für uns der beste Grieche weit und breit.

It's probably even harder to get a table now - but I still have to praise the food VERY much... The waiters, the boss - everyone tried very hard and was on their toes. The ambience (except at the entrance when it's drafty ;-) ) is super pleasant.. Delicious starters (saganaki, grilled chilli), nice portions and enough garlic on the potatoes.. Absolute recommendation.. 👍👍👍

Visit November 3rd, 2024 at lunchtime - service was very friendly and quick - dishes were served together after a short preparation time. The portions were visually attractively placed on the plates, of a filling size and very tasty. Gladly again!!!

Lange Jahre waren wir hier Stammgäste, aber leider sind die Preise nach oben durchgeknallt. Erst kam ein Preis-Anschub durch den Anbau einer Terrasse, dann Corona und jetzt gab es schon wieder einen Preisschub. Sehr schade!

Stopped in transit and what can I say? We are thrilled. Great Greek restaurant with service that you don't often experience these days. Value for money is top class. We had a gyros pita plate from the lunch section and one of the best gyros we have ever eaten. Deserved 5 stars. Thank you very much!

Price/performance also very good. (2 meals, 2 drinks €36.40 + tip) Good portions. We still got space even though we didn't have a reservation :) We'd love to come back. The only small point of criticism: we were in the next room. It could have been a little warmer.

Very friendly, attentive employees, which is no longer a given these days. The food was consistently great. All grilled meat dishes were juicy and perfectly cooked. Tzatziki very cheeky. The portions are large and there is no shortage of ouzo either. We'll be back! And that won't last long. 😁

An excellent restaurant. We were there for the first time today and were warmly welcomed. The food was very tasty, also a generous portion, which I can eat some more for lunch tomorrow. We were given the ouzo as a gift, plus one on top and a house drink. The ambience is enchanting, a great Greek restaurant where you feel at home. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. We can highly recommend it. And even though it's over an hour's drive, we'll be back. Thanks to the entire service team for the wonderful stay. Many people can learn a lot from the great service.

Delicious food, great prices and incredibly friendly staff. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very warm and stuffy, so I had to go out into the fresh air several times. In addition, the toilets are too narrow and in need of renovation.

We had never experienced anything like this before: without a reservation, we got a table in a full restaurant in a very short time, only for an hour, but we were then able to finish our meal in peace. The service staff around us were very committed to fulfilling all guests' wishes. The food came quickly, it was very good, we were completely satisfied and could only be amazed at how great the service was! Great!
