We wanted to go out for authentic Greek food again, and it was absolutely fantastic. The gyros was amazing! The tomato bread was divine! Not soggy from oil, the toppings were perfectly seasoned and evenly distributed! The meat (mixed patty) was wonderfully seasoned and not all the pieces tasted the same. Except for the spit, everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly! We'd love to come back again very soon!

It was our first time there since it was under new ownership. The food was delicious. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the food came a little too quickly. We finished our starters within 40-45 minutes. The staff was friendly. The ambiance is the same as it used to be; unfortunately, not much has changed. It could be a bit more modern and newer. Unfortunately, it's very loud there.

The restaurant was great last year under the previous owner: Greek. The portions and quality aren't what they used to be, and the prices are the same. The same prices for takeout as for dine-in. The only good thing: a nice restaurant and nice seating outside, far from traffic!

The gyro was very good, but mayonnaise in the mixed salad and many dishes with hollandaise sauce are not authentic Greek cuisine. When I go to a Greek restaurant, I want to eat authentic food.

Beautiful summer terrace, good service, delicious food. One of the few restaurants open Monday and Tuesday, closed on Wednesday.

We got the food (to take home) and I have to say it was a joke, the feta cheese was so thin (for 9.50 euros) and garnished with spices, the grilled peppers (8.00 euros) were so bad, nothing to compare with any other restaurant and the main course (17.50-21.50 euros) you could starve, sorry not a second time, there was a small bottle of ouzo with it but that didn't make up for it, the old chef is no longer there, never again, when it opened everything was so great.

We were guests at the Greek restaurant in the sports club with a larger group – and what can I say: It was a thoroughly successful evening. Admittedly, the ambiance isn't modern or chic, but rather reminiscent of a sports club from the 1970s – with all its charm and a healthy dose of down-to-earthness. Anyone expecting designer furniture, candlelight, and Instagram-worthy aesthetics is definitely wrong. But that's precisely what makes it so appealing: it's honest, unpretentious, and pleasantly unfussy. The highlight of the evening, however, was clearly the food – freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and absolutely delicious. From the classic appetizers to the succulent meat dishes, side dishes, and salads: everything arrived piping hot and at the same time, even though the place was really busy. Kudos to the kitchen! The service was also top-notch: friendly, attentive, fast – and never rushed, even though it was really busy. Drinks were brought promptly, reorders went smoothly, and we received excellent service throughout the evening. The truly fair price-performance ratio is particularly worth mentioning. In times when restaurant visits can often be both expensive and disappointing, you can still get honest cuisine at reasonable prices here. In conclusion: If you don't need any frills but are looking for good food, attentive service, and an authentic, cozy atmosphere, this is the place to be. A real insider tip for anyone who appreciates the charm of bygone days – I give it a definite five out of five stars.

I had reserved a table for two. It was our first time here and we were really excited. When the weather's nice, it's probably very cozy outside, too. We each had an appetizer and a main course. Everything was perfectly timed, from the food delivery to the dinner. Drinks were also brought quite quickly, and choosing what to eat was really difficult because everything sounded so delicious. The food was an absolute feast for the palate throughout. One downside was that it got quite loud, and we had to raise our voices. But that's probably due to the high ceiling. But overall, it was a lovely evening for two with a very delicious meal, the first time in a long time. We'd love to come back. 7/27/25 Update We were there again. Had the same table as the first time. The food was truly excellent. Coming back was absolutely worth it. We will definitely come back 👍🏼

A Greek highlight in Haßloch A beautiful, large garden with plenty of tables – sit outside, enjoy the sun, and sip a glass of wine. Ideal for dates or relaxed evenings with friends. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, fresh, hot, and delicious. A particularly positive aspect: child-friendly! There's a small sand area for playing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Smoking is permitted outside. The restrooms are clean and spacious. Parking is available directly at the restaurant – free and plentiful. Reservations are recommended, as it's often full (and rightfully so!).

Unfortunately, I can't understand the reviews. Initially, the service forgot something a few times. The appetizer salad had a few iceberg pieces with pre-made sauce on it. The gyro was bone dry and completely unjustified for a children's portion at €9. The lamb was the thinnest I've ever seen, and also really dry. One fries were oversalted, while the other was completely unseasoned. The food was swimming in grease. You could taste that absolutely nothing was freshly prepared, but simply warmed up. The price/performance ratio is not right at all. The slide and swing are no longer there. In the end, we sat there with empty drinks for at least 30 minutes, and no one came. I had the scampi and then diarrhea for half the night and the other stomachaches. I won't set foot in here again. Maybe okay for someone who just wants a drink.

Never again. !!!!!!! We had a very disappointing visit to the Akropolis restaurant. Unfortunately, after a change of ownership, things seem to have gotten worse. Two of us tried to make a reservation by phone independently, unaware that the others were also calling. We finally got a table, but when we got there, we were immediately confronted in a rude manner, asking why we had "called twice." The manner was rude and inappropriate. Our order was taken without being asked whether we would prefer fries or rice; they just served us whatever we wanted. We were only able to order drinks once, and after that, we were ignored, even though the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. The food tasted disappointing and absolutely not worth the money. We paid over €160 for nothing that was convincing. What was particularly shocking, however, was the behavior of the lady who was apparently the manager (perhaps the owner herself). When we went to pay, she turned around and repeated "Malaga" in Greek several times, apparently assuming we didn't understand. An absolute no-go and extremely disrespectful to the guests! We cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone after this experience. Very rude, poorly organized, and no trace of hospitality. Zero stars would be appropriate.

The food was as always very tasty

The place is beautiful, and the restaurant is especially great with children, as there's a huge lawn in front of the restaurant. The service was good, although we had to ask for things three times because they were forgotten. The bill included items I hadn't ordered, but the waitress was very accommodating and removed them without much discussion.

Quite overpriced for such a tiny portion, and the place was incredibly loud—there's absolutely nothing to do with a cozy meal. The worst part was the four hours spent over the toilet after eating... Definitely not recommended...

You can sit nicely. I don't know where the 4.6 stars come from! Maybe from the previous owner. Where should I start? The wrong drinks were delivered, the steaks were well done and the pork loin was anything but loin. The quality wasn't good either. It doesn't help to apologize or give a discount. Tried but without success. I will no longer be a guest. To make matters worse, I feel crappy after eating there. In the truest sense of the word. Thanks but no thanks.

After the change in ownership, the restaurant declined significantly. Additional tables were set up. It was only 50cm to the neighboring table. Our table was too small. We felt cooped up. The service was friendly and attentive. A glass of wine was far too limited. But it cannot be checked without a calibration mark. Tomato bread as a starter was completely untoasted and soggy. My gyros were thickly sliced ​​and bone dry. Felt like it was warmed up and had oil poured over it. Conversation was not possible because of the volume. We left the restaurant in a hurry. Because of the table we were given a very generous dessert, but that didn't make the difference.

We were there on Saturday for the first time since the new owners took over. We used to be very happy here, but unfortunately things have gotten worse. The restaurant was very full and noisy, which was due to the fact that, on the one hand, the tables were very narrow (less than 30cm distance from the neighboring table is simply unpleasant), and on the other hand, the tables were very full, and we also got a table for four despite booking for five. The quality of the food was also not completely convincing, the tomato bread as a starter was soggy and unseasoned, the gyro was rather dry. The retsina was poured very sparingly and we discovered that the wine glasses had no calibration mark, that's not possible. All in all, not a nice evening and we probably won't try again.

Extremely tasty, great value for money

We ate there on Easter Saturday and left disappointed. I had a salad plate that looked good at first glance. When I looked closely, the large salt leaves on which various types of lettuce were draped were wilted. So I know salad that was taken out of the fridge the night before. My counterpart had a meat dish that was swimming in oil. After draining the oil, it became apparent that the quality of the gyros had deteriorated. When the waitress asked, I expressed my criticism. The young girl from the service explained to me when I was paying that she had told the boss and if he didn't say anything about it, she couldn't offer the guest anything (remake the salad). In this case, the criticism of the service refers to the boss who stood at the table and also did not respond. The Ouzo variety has also changed - also for the worse. 14.50 euros for the salad wasted. Too bad.

We've been visiting the Sandbuckel for years and were very sad to hear that Nico and his wife are retiring. However, we fully understand and wish them all the best again. 🍀 Yesterday we ate at the Sandbuckel again to see if much had changed. The food itself hasn't changed much; the taste was once again delicious (despite a few minor changes), and I can only recommend it. The service still needs some improvement, but it was busy that evening, and the waitresses were always on the move and very friendly. All beginnings are difficult, and even though you have to be patient, it was a very nice evening in the Old, New Acropolis. 🤗 We say thank you and look forward to our next visit.

I've been a regular customer at Akropolis for years and was also there when it opened. Was there last week and I'm really disappointed🤦🤦🤦 I just can't believe how the quality has been reduced! The highlight for us was always the lamb and the lamb chops, really delicious, no one could beat it! Now the lamb chops consist almost entirely of fat, have become smaller and are inedible! Cheese sauce is no longer the same and the schnitzels are only half the size! So we don't go there anymore and we can no longer recommend this restaurant to our customers, really sad, I really didn't expect that! You can get current lamb chops anywhere for half the price! Really, really sad! They would have rather increased the prices and left the quality the same.

Not recommended, we got a table (even though we had reserved it beforehand) and the table was far too small for 5 people. The service and the boss were very unfriendly. Some of the food was only lukewarm and the pepperoni was swimming in fat. Ouzo was diluted. Sorry for about 150 euros I expect better quality. We won't go there again.

Waren heute dass erste mal bei dem neue Besitzer, leider wurden wir nicht freundlich empfangen . Wir hatten für fünf Personen einen Tisch bestellt ,leider war der Platz nur für 3 bis 4 Personen! Auf Nachfrage, sagten sie uns Nein wäre schon reserviert. Eine 1/2std dann kamen 4 Personen . Dass essen war nicht gut und sehr fettig. Salat sehr kalt und lieblos. Peperoni schwammen im Fett. Gyros war fast kalt.Alles sehr fettig.Brot kam erst etwas später. Auch die Chefin war nicht besonders freundlich. Wir werden dort nicht mehr hin gehn und definitiv nicht weiter Empfehlen. Schade

Greek as we know him. I like it there. I would generally call to reserve a table. I think a group of 15-20 people is easily possible. I don't know the outside area, but I was told that it is very large and well filled in summer. So, you can have a cozy, relaxed, good meal there.

Wir waren 9 Personen und haben Sekt, Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und einige Desserts gehabt. Wir aßen Tomatenbrot , Weiße Bohnen und geb. Schafskäse gegessen was uns allen gemundet hat. Einzig die Tomatenbrote hätten etwas knuspriger sein können. Die Platte für Zwei wahr reichlich und lecker. Der Akropolis-Teller ebenso. Das Lammfilet wahr ebenfalls sehr lecker und reichlich, auch die Gyrosteller waren reichlich und gut wie das pan. Schnitzel für das Kind. Was ich leider bemängeln muss waren die Bratkartoffeln und die Pommes die wir etwas knuspriger gewollt hätten. Der Service und das übrige Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Preisleistung Verhältnis war ausgewogen und Fair. Gerne wieder einmal, uns hat es gefallen.

Wirklich zufrieden waren wir nicht. Auch mit Reservierung saßen wir an einem "Katzentisch" in der Ecke. Wir hatten uns noch nicht richtig hingesetzt, geschweige denn die Speisekarte geöffnet, als wir schon nach den Getränkewünschen gefragt wurden. Das Essen kam recht zügig, allerdings waren die Portionen sehr übersichtlich. Der Teller mit Fleisch war geschmacklich okay, beim Fisch waren es 2 sehr dünne Streifen, die völlig trocken und kaum zu schneiden waren. Dazu Reis, Zaziki, 3 Stückchen Brokkoli ohne Geschmack und 2 Scheibchen Gurke (und das für knapp 20€). Das Service-Personal war auch nicht mega freundlich. Alles in allem: Da ist noch eine Menge Luft nach oben.

Unser reservierter Tisch grenzte direkt an einen anderen (ohne Abstand), mit Gästen besetzten Tisch und war eindeutig zu eng für 2 Personen an den Seiten. Ein freistehender Tisch, an dem wir alle bequem hätten sitzen können, war die ganze Zeit nicht belegt, solange wir im Lokal waren. Das Fleisch (Schweinelende) war gut und ausreichend. Die Beilagen etwas wenig und der Salat mickrig und lieblos angerichtet. Was heutzutage überhaupt nicht geht, war, dass nur Barzahlung möglich ist. Da macht auch kostenloser Ouzo oder Espresso das Ganze nicht besser.

Nice service, delicious food. Big portion. Everything is hot and grilled to perfection. Children got their food first, which I always appreciate. The huge meadow invites you to play, there is a sandpit and a slide with a small climbing frame. You sit very comfortably and quietly. On house there was a schnapps or espresso. The children got a lollipop. Successful spontaneous first visit and not the last.

Variants and changes to the menu are implemented as requested or replaced with suggestions from the staff (in case of intolerances). Very fair in terms of price-performance ratio and absolutely fine. Beautiful outdoor area with a large terrace and great views, beautifully maintained grounds! Conclusion: the Akropolis restaurant is worth a nice stay for all ages! Unser Abend im Akropolis ist perfekt gewesen. Freundlicher Empfang und sehr angenehmer und vor allem aufmerksamer Service, obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut gebucht gewesen ist. Das Ambiente strahlt eine typische Gemütlichkeit aus und das Essen hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Besonders zu erwähnen ist, dass man sehr hundefreundlich ist und sich nicht nur um die menschlichen Gäste bemüht. Wir freuen ins auf den nächsten Besuch.

We were there for dinner on December 31, 2023 with a reservation. Since there were almost only good reviews, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately I was disappointed and felt like I was in a check-in hall. Quickly, quickly, so that the next guests have space. Since we weren't regulars, we probably didn't get any liquor at the end. Every Greek restaurant in Neustadt is just as good in terms of food and cheaper in price.

Nettes griechisches Restaurant wie man es sich vorstellt. Die Portionen nicht ganz so groß wie man es sonst so gewohnt ist. Für mich war es OK, ein Mann hätte bestimmt gerne etwas mehr auf dem Teller. Geschmacklich gut. Beim Nachtisch (Eis mit heißen Himbeeren)hätte ich gerne die Himbeeren extra gehabt. Außerdem war es sehr wenig Soße, insgesamt 3 Himbeeren... Alles in allem war es OK, würde aber ein anderes griechisches Lokal dann vorziehen
