The restaurant is part of the Strandotel Hotel and is located on the Waldsee lake, overlooking the zoo and dinosaur park. It boasts a timeless, homely atmosphere. Excellent, plentiful food at (still) reasonable prices. Friendly, unobtrusive service.

We really enjoy eating here. The restaurant is also suitable for larger celebrations. The adjacent park and lake give you the opportunity to spend a whole day. And you can stay overnight directly in the hotel.

For me personally, everything was just right overall. What really needs to be highlighted was the service. The waiter was more than attentive, seemed to know the menu by heart and was just a typical waiter in his manner. I really have my utmost respect for that.

The food is good, but not great value for money. The service is very good without any compromises, attentive but not intrusive. The ambience can be described favorably as conservative and timeless. The whole facility is clean and well maintained.

In the winter garden you have a great view of the lake. The service was excellent, very courteous and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. I can only recommend it.

Went there 4 times within a year based on a recommendation and have never regretted it! Super nice service and the view of the lake, hard to replace. The food was always freshly prepared and lovingly presented. No matter whether fish or meat, everything is on point. Dishes are always “very well” seasoned. This didn't bother me as I also prefer more to less. For others it might be too much of a good thing...... I can definitely recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. PS: You should definitely try the cream puffs!!!

Nice location right on the lake. A somewhat sober winter garden. But that's where it ends. The food was generally too spicy, the spaetzle was not a high-quality finished product and was also poorly prepared. When I pointed this out to service, the excuse was that there was no time for it due to a lack of staff. I have to say, you just have to reduce the menu significantly or you can't spend 22.50 for a venison goulash that had indefinable crunchy parts. Especially since there is also good, fresh pasta as a ready-made product.

The food was good, but just plain, not modern cuisine as others have apparently reported. Before the main courses there was a small salad with homemade dressing, which was wonderfully orange. Very attentive service, rather simple but cozy furnishings, what really stands out is the winter garden with a view of the beach and lake, you should definitely reserve here in advance
