I had a really disappointing experience with this restaurant through Uber Eats. I ordered Chili Paneer, but they called me shortly after to say it was unavailable and asked if I wanted to replace it with Palak Paneer. They also asked whether I’d like it normal or spicy, and I clearly said normal. When my food arrived, it was spicy, and to make things worse, it wasn’t even Palak Paneer as it should be. It was just spinach curry without a single piece of paneer in it. That’s not just a small mistake — it’s misleading and feels dishonest. If you can’t serve what’s on your menu, at least make sure the replacement is prepared correctly and includes the main ingredient. I ended up paying for something I didn’t order and couldn’t eat. Would definitely not recommend ordering from here unless they start showing more honesty and respect toward customers. P.S. For anyone unfamiliar: Palak Paneer is a traditional Indian dish that is naturally mild and creamy, not spicy at all. I’ve traveled through India many times, and I’ve never once seen it made “spicy.” The fact that they even asked whether I wanted it spicy is absurd and shows they don’t understand the basics of the cuisine they’re serving.

The Red Onion offers a wide selection of dishes, but the Indian dishes are a real highlight :-) Everything we've tried so far has been incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and perfectly seasoned. You can immediately tell that the food here is cooked with love and experience – whether it's Chicken Wandaloo, Chicken Biryani, or vegetarian Bhindi Masala, every dish is a winner. The value for money is also really good: large portions, fair prices, and friendly delivery service – everything just works. If you're craving authentic Indian food, you should definitely order here. We're thrilled and will definitely order again :-)

I placed an order through the website and have been waiting for an hour for confirmation, and the money was debited directly. According to the website, direct delivery was possible.

I ordered from there through Liferando. Delivery took well over an hour and a half. Unbelievable. Once and never again. If it were possible, I would give it zero stars.

I can't understand the negative reviews from some reviewers (most of them very few, so they're not meaningful). I don't think a 1-hour delivery time is bad. That shows that many customers use the service. Why? Because they're good. Please keep it up... great team, friendly, and delicious.

Delivery took over an hour. The so-called naan was actually four pieces of baguette with a slice of cheese and no garlic. The burger was cold and chewy by then. It was the first and last time we ordered from this place.

We ordered-in Indian food. Initially I was reluctant but when I saw reviews from some of other Indians praising the food, I got encouraged. Well, I would not order it again as it did not taste like anything remotely to the name of the dishes. We will continue to stick with Frankfurt for now for good Indian food.

We ordered through Lieferando... Our order arrived after 1 hour and 43 minutes, so the pizza and kebab were cold... and therefore inedible. If you order and don't have at least 2 hours to spare, don't bother!

This restaurant chose their name for a reason The pizza sauce just tastes like a loooot of onions were thrown into it So if you like pizza that mostly tastes like onion this is a great place Sadly it's not really what I'm looking for personally when ordering a pizza

Unreliable store, first promises the Uber delivery, and then cancels shortly before the delivery time. I don't need it, the store can go.

Habe eine Stunde auf ne Pizza und paar Knoblauch Brote warten... Pizza schmeckt einfach nach nichts. Der Belag, die tomatensauce und der Knoblauch haben keinen Geschmack...

Habe um 10:30 für 12:15Uhr bestellt, die Bestellung kam nie an. Wirkich eine Frechheit. Zudem geht auch niemand ans Telefon. Größte Enttäuschung

Habe um kurz vor 1 bestellt meine Bestellung sollte um 14:12 Uhr geliefert werden es ist schon halb 4 meine Bestellung wurde immer noch nicht geliefert

Essen war an sich gut, geschmacklich 4/5. Jedoch Lieferzeit über eine Stunde und dann eine wirklich Mini Portion an Butter Chicken! Frechheit so eine kleine Portion loszuschicken.

I had Indian food from Red Onion multiple times. I believe it is the best in Wiesbaden and surrounding areas. The prices are also cheaper than other Indian food options here. The food I recommend: Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Chicken curry and cherry on the top Tiramisu. I like the customization options they provide whether to take rice or Naan with the side dishes. Also, if you write some instructions while ordering they take care of each and every instructions and provide you a kind of customized dish. I will order again recommend my Indian friends to try Red Onion and also I would recommend this restaurant for my non-Indian friends who want to try authentic Indian food.

Best place to order Indian food especially butter chicken and desi chinese.

Delcious Food Perfect Place for Pakistanisch Indish Essen

Food is good. Very nice soup, but didn’t received sauce and salads with the kebab. So €9 for fries and a little bit of meat is ridiculous

Also habe einmal da bestellt gehabt. War leider nicht so das gelbe vom Ei. Wohne 3 Minuten entfernt und dachte ich probiere es mal. Also einer der Besitzer ist definitiv freundlich aber durch freundlichkeit lernt man nicht zu kochen. Der Laden ist bei weitem in der Umgebung der am wenigsten besuchte Laden. Egal ob Columbia, Pipos, Asia Corner, Symposion, Verona, Luigi, Di Grazia, MacDöner uvm. Der Laden hier hat die meisten Gerichte von den oben genannten Restaurants aber bekommt keins hin wie die Fachleute die sich auf eine Richtung konzentrieren. Der Besitzer kann sich gerne melden. Ich mache nen Gaming oder Trading Card Laden draus.

Alles in allem so ziemlich das was man erwartet. Essen könnte ein bisschen besser schmecken, nichts sticht wirklich raus. Alles so gewöhnlich, aber Personal ist freundlich, die Location cool (man merkt dass es eher ein Lieferdienst ist) und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Essen und die bereiten auch andere indische Speisen zu wenn man anfragt. Preis Leistung stimmt.

Ich hatte mich so gefreut nach so langer Zeit endlich wieder ins Café Bastians zu kommen und mich dort mit einem Süßgebäck zu belohnen. Leider sah das dort angebotene alles andere als ansprechend aus, so wie es platziert worden war. Die Dame selbst war nicht sonderlich freundlich, das fand ich auch sehr schade. Am schlimmsten war jedoch, dass sie direkt an der Verkaufstheke Behälter mit Honig stehen hatten, in denen sich Bienen und Wespen tummelten und elendig im Honig erstickt sind. Ich war so geschockt, dass ich mein Stückchen wieder zurücklegen wollte. Schau‘ den armen Kreaturen beim sterben zu, während Du Dir Dein Essen kaufen tust…. Zu guter Letzt war dann auch das Puddingstückchen wirklich nicht weiter erwähnenswert. Sehr, sehr schade, es war anfangs so richtig, richtig gut dort!

Leckere Pizza und freundliche Bedienung!

Richtig schnelle Lieferung, super lecker, die Pommes waren sehr gut und knusprig, nicht so wie andere Restaurants mit ihren eingeweichten Pommes. Der Lieferant war sehr nett und hat uns sogar noch Desserts als Geschenk mitgebracht, einmal mousse au chocolate und panna cotta. Und das auch sehr lecker gewesen :)

Schmeckt alles absolut fantastisch, nur ein Stern abgezogen weil manche Soßen einfach zu ölig sind.

Der ist einfach der beste weit und breit 💖💖💖💖💖 ich empfehle den Kunden chicken schaschlick und vor allem die tomatensuppe. Die schmeckt einfach soooo megaaaaaa. Ich bestell nur dort, wenn ich Reis Gerichte will.

Bestellung von 2 x Eiskaffee und 1 x Wasser waren qualitativ okay. Für ein anspruchsvolles Cafe, Bistro sollten aber die vorgeschriebenen Hygieneregeln Selbstverständlichkeit sein. Mitarbeiterin kam ohne Gesichtsschutz, Nebentisch wurde nach dem verlassen der Gäste nicht desinfiziert. Coronaregeln interessieren offensichtlich nicht.

Habe zum ersten Mal dort bestellt. Die Pizza war wirklich super gut. Gut gebacken, frische Zutaten, kann ich nur empfehlen. Auch der Rest vom Essen. Lieferung war trotz Samstag auch ziemlich schnell (knapp 40 Minuten)

Kein traditionelles, altmodisches Kaffee sondern ein modernes, großes Ambiente. Qualität von Kaffee und Kuchen nicht überragend aber sehr gut. Service aufmerksam, man sitzt gut obwohl der Raum sehr groß und hoch ist. Für einen Kaffee und ein Stück Kuchen nach dem Einkaufen oder am Sonntag sehr geeignet.

La primera vez que visitamos la comida era encantadora. Gran café, deliciosos postres. El desayuno del domingo fue muy normal. La cesta de pan terriblemente simple. El huevo no puede ser hervido, pero el huevo frito puede estar líquido. . . . Imagínate. Creo que sería mejor ordenar en el escritorio que fuera del menú. Sus dulces panes y pasteles son hermosos.

Hab was bestellt zum ersten mal ein Chicken curry scharf und muss sagen es schmeckt sehr lecker ich werde weiter hin dort bestellen macht weiter so👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Und preis leistung ist sehr gut

War freitags gegen 9.30am hier. Fenstertische waren alle besetzt, Plätze mit Blick in die Backstube gab es noch 😉 Ich hatte eine latte machiato und einen Zwetschgen crumble, aka Pflaumen crumble. Obwohl Frühstückszeit, bekam ich den crumble. Dieser war von der Saisonkarte und eher für Mittagstisch und später vorgesehen. Beides war sehr lecker. Der Service war nett und flott ohne zu nerven. Die Toiletten waren in Ordnung.

Bisher war das Essen hier immer lecker. Seit dem Besitzerwechsel sieht es etwas anders aus.
