We went there for dinner once and the food tasted fantastic (burgers) The ambience is completely western and looks great The quality of service was very good although some employees were sometimes under stress. Maja and John (hopefully spelled correctly) were very, very nice and deserve special praise❤️

We heard so many good things about the Red Barn that we wanted to try it out with our gourmet block. The Red Barn appears much smaller from the outside than it actually is. The furnishings are rustic and quaint, with great attention to detail. Despite not having a reservation, we got a seat and our drinks relatively quickly. The service was friendly and accommodating. We chose the spare ribs (3/4 rack) and the 2 pound chicken wings to eat - and then waited. And waited. After three quarters of an hour, a group arrived and was seated next to us and received their portion of chicken wings before us, even though we only received ours a few minutes later. Overall we had to wait quite a long time for our food. That really dampened our mood a bit. The wings were delicious, but the ribs were unfortunately only lukewarm. The ranch sauce was great and the sliced ​​potatoes were unfortunately fried “dark” and not really hot. Maybe it was because of the number of people who had ordered before us that we had to wait so long, but unfortunately that, combined with the food, didn't completely convince us.

Visited Red Barn in Darmstadt recently. The atmosphere was nice, and the overall experience was decent. I ordered a burger, which was generously topped with cheese and tasted good, but I felt the quality of the meat could be improved just a bit of room for improvement there. The service staff was friendly, but they seemed to be in a rush the whole time. They wanted to get things done quickly, which made us feel a bit hurried. We also ordered two sides: one with bacon and cheese, which was tasty, and another with fried potatoes, but unfortunately, the potatoes were slightly overcooked and a bit burned. Overall, a good place, but there are a few areas that could be better.

Great burgers, acceptable price. Good atmosphere with all sorts of alcoholic drinks.

It was our first time there as a family and there were six of us. Everyone had ordered something different and we were very happy with what we got. The exceptionally friendly, quick and fun service was great. It was a little cool in the room and we were given blankets straight away. As a Hamburg resident, I was happy about the Astra beer. First time and last time here. Food took an hour to come and when it did, it was below average. Our table was near the door, which was open the whole time. It was a long hour of waiting for the food in the cold and smelling cigarette smoke from outside. All in all a disappointing evening.

EDIT: Unfortunately I have to correct my rating downwards. Four of us were there early in the evening on a Saturday, with a reservation. We quickly ordered drinks and food as weekends are notoriously busy. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food. The ribs were again very good, but the potato slices were extremely fatty and soft. The corn on the cob was very weak. The burger was very dry (please use more sauce!). The kitchen is extremely overwhelmed. Really a shame.

The food was okay, but overall the restaurant is not recommended. In a very small group, we waited well over 2 hours for food. The food came around 10:40 p.m. Unfortunately not at the same time either, so the first two had finished eating when the fourth and fifth burgers arrived. Apparently, a maximum of 3 burgers are prepared here at the same time... This is simply no longer a time when you want to have dinner. Unfortunately, no apology, no accommodation from the service. Even for the starter (garlic bread) we waited 1.5 hours. Unfortunately for me this is out of proportion, even if the burgers were delicious. The “crispy potatoes” were just wobbly potato slices dripping with fat. None of our group had even a hint of crunch. However, in one person, some were completely black. So absolutely not recommended. All in all, the burgers and drinks were okay, but not very special either. Service always comes by and brings drinks promptly with a smile. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right here at all. It's also a shame that there was no communication with us at all. If we had been informed that the meal would take so long, etc., we would definitely have changed our plans.

I had to wait over an hour for my food, which can happen since the restaurant was busy. The burger I ordered was also good. But the "crispy potatoes" that I ordered as a side dish were one of the worst things I've ever been served in a restaurant. They were anything but crispy but a pile of mushy potato slices dripping with fat. Sorry, but simply inedible. When I asked a cellar about it, I was told that he was sorry if I didn't like them, but that's how they're always made. Of course I had to pay for them too, since that's how they're always made. This is neither good service nor good quality. Even 1 star is too much for that.

In itself a great shop with a convincing menu, but with small detractions in the service and food. As a starter we had slices with cheese and pulled pork gratinated, which I really enjoyed. However, it's not cheap compared to the production, but it's still great. We then had 4 burgers which unfortunately all fell through and didn't come as ordered. The bottom line is completely dry, well-done patties instead of the medium rare ones ordered. The service employee's inquiry came shortly after the first bite, which we had pointed out. A simple exchange would not only be justifiable, but actually a basic requirement in a good restaurant, apart from any demands. Still a great atmosphere, nice staff and a great menu, food and drink but next time we'll replace the burgers with ribs or something like that.

We went on a city tour from Eat the World on Saturday, where partners serve small culinary bites. We got pulled pork and a piece of spare rib at Red Barns, which was delicious. I would particularly like to highlight the great, friendly service. Of course, this cannot be a complete review, but it invites you to visit again.

Super delicious food in a matching, rustic, Texas-style atmosphere. Both the burgers with pulled pork and the crispy potato slices are a delight. Burgers can also be ordered with a vegetarian patty.

These were the best spareribs since the Americans were withdrawn :) I ended up there by chance thanks to Schlemmerblock and was absolutely happy with everything - top service - mega food - absolutely reasonable prices. We were definitely not here for the last time!

Finally eating delicious spare ribs again. That was the plan. I had heard a lot about the ribs at the Red Barn, so it was time to try them out. First of all: I recommend making a reservation as the store is quite full. This can also lead to it being noisy and the neighbors sitting very close. The furnishings are ok, functional and (with some imagination) also create the impression of a barn. However, the facility is a little old, but that's still okay. The abundant staff is very quick, very attentive and very friendly. Hats off, everything works smoothly even under stress. Of course I ordered the ribs and I have to say, they are delicious. The meat falls completely off the bone and the sauce tastes just like I imagine a BBQ sauce would. The side dishes round off the meal perfectly. The homemade lemonade rounds off the meal perfectly. I'm looking forward to the next rib tasting round :)

The potatoes that are served there as a substitute for fries are very tasty. Very disappointing. Both the order and the food took an extremely long time to arrive. Some of the food was cold and mostly hardly seasoned. The attempt to get a box for the leftovers and pay for them also failed several times. It's a shame - we used to love going here.

We were there early on a Saturday evening. Drinks came super quickly. After 45 minutes I asked for our food, after consulting with the kitchen it was said another 10-15 minutes. After another 25 minutes I asked again… they apologized again and said it would come soon if we wanted a shot. Um no, I don't want alcohol, I just want my food. After a good 1 1/2 hours in total, our food finally arrived, chicken wings and burgers (noticeably completely without sauce, which was again upon request). Conclusion nothing special, if you have time and money you can go there. For this failed visit I would have expected at least a dessert on the house.

It tasted good and was plentiful. However, at around 90 euros for 3 people with drinks and no starters, it's not a bargain. We had burgers with beef patty or pulled pork and sliced ​​potatoes and will definitely come back :-) Parking is easily possible nearby at the eastern or western Mercksplatz, but unfortunately there is a fee (75 cents per 30 minutes).

On Sunday February 25th André was there (very friendly). Everything was great 100% as it should be. I'll let my old recession stand for now, but the stars have been corrected. Old recession: So the food was great, the service was good at the beginning but then terrible. Waited for two cokes and still didn't get it after 30 minutes. Then I paid and when I paid I said I didn't want the Coke anymore. The waitress asked for a tip when paying. What else can you say about that? Once and never again .

Every experience I have had here has been consistently positive. Every member of the service always has a casual saying on their lips. Special praise goes to Jordan, who really gave his all in service last time and absolutely deserved his tip, and of course to the kitchen. I am always a guest and will continue to be in the future. A pity . As a large group you have to put up with a lot. Payments are made every hour. And from 10 p.m., directly after every order. And then you can only pay with cash register from 15€. The Red Barn Western BBQ restaurant has a cool western decor. Good fitting music. A good mood. Unfortunately I had forgotten my smartphone. But there are enough pictures from the other reviews. We had a reservation and arrived 30 minutes late. The team reacted brilliantly and assigned us a nice seat in the well-filled restaurant. Despite the busy restaurant, the food we ordered was served to all of us at the same time. The dishes are an authentic barbecue experience👍. The preparation and quality are impeccable. There is a good selection of different sauces and side dishes. The friendly team contributes to the warm and good atmosphere. The Hessian dialect is celebrated linguistically, great😉. The team is friendly, competent, relaxed and engaging. Conclusion, I can recommend the Red Barn Western BBQ in Darmstadt. BBQ lovers will get their money's worth and feel comfortable. You get a good culinary experience👏.
