Very tasty burgers, very tasty side dishes. You have to come several times to try everything. Clear recommendation: garlic bread as a starter! Ambience is nice and reminiscent of Canada or the USA. Service always 1A.

We went on a city tour from Eat the World on Saturday, where partners serve small culinary bites. We got pulled pork and a piece of spare rib at Red Barns, which was delicious. I would particularly like to highlight the great, friendly service. Of course, this cannot be a complete review, but it invites you to visit again.

Actually a very nice shop with delicious food and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. If we hadn't asked twice, we probably would have come away empty-handed! What a shame! But definitely a problem that can be fixed!

The prices for food and drinks are excessive and bear no relation to the quality. Here are some criticisms: Missing garnishes: Dishes that are normally served with a corn cob are often missing. Mixed-up portions: Large and small portions are often mixed up. Excessive salt content: Potatoes and sauces are extremely salty. Fat content: All foods are soaked in unhealthy amounts of fat. Pricing: The prices for food and drinks are set too high for the given quality. Ambiance and furnishings Exterior: Very unattractive with peeling paint on the walls and dangling cables. The benches and tables are unstable beer tent sets. Interior: Much more friendly, but the toilets are dark and unsightly. Service and staff The staff is friendly and helpful. Conclusion Due to the overpriced prices, the poor quality of the food and the unattractive ambience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Best American food in Darmstadt. The prices are a bit more expensive now but the taste is simply great. Also super friendly staff.

The food was super delicious....the service was very attentive and friendly....in my opinion the western ambience could have been a little more (music for example)...but it was a very nice evening!!!!

Super delicious food in a matching, rustic, Texas-style atmosphere. Both the burgers with pulled pork and the crispy potato slices are a delight. Burgers can also be ordered with a vegetarian patty.

These were the best spareribs since the Americans were withdrawn :) I ended up there by chance thanks to Schlemmerblock and was absolutely happy with everything - top service - mega food - absolutely reasonable prices. We were definitely not here for the last time!

Finally eating delicious spare ribs again. That was the plan. I had heard a lot about the ribs at the Red Barn, so it was time to try them out. First of all: I recommend making a reservation as the store is quite full. This can also lead to it being noisy and the neighbors sitting very close. The furnishings are ok, functional and (with some imagination) also create the impression of a barn. However, the facility is a little old, but that's still okay. The abundant staff is very quick, very attentive and very friendly. Hats off, everything works smoothly even under stress. Of course I ordered the ribs and I have to say, they are delicious. The meat falls completely off the bone and the sauce tastes just like I imagine a BBQ sauce would. The side dishes round off the meal perfectly. The homemade lemonade rounds off the meal perfectly. I'm looking forward to the next rib tasting round :)

It's a shame, burgers without burger sauce. When asked why the burger is so dry, "We traditionally always make it without sauce." Hmm, I've never heard of that before. Too bad.

Top food, fantastic service, wonderful ambience

I can recommend very tasty food to anyone who likes spare ribs. It was quite crowded and it made it a bit uncomfortable, but it could be worse. The service was also really friendly.

A cozy, interesting and filling restaurant. The location is lovingly designed and the furnishings match the theme. The menu is short but effective, you don't have to choose between 100 different dishes, but are presented with a well-made selection. Spare ripa, salad, burgers, onion rings and other finger food in portions that will fill everyone up. The selection of drinks is also good and the prices are reasonable.

Back on site for a long time. The enjoyment of a good burger drove us there. We weren't disappointed. Super fresh, delicious burgers, super friendly service and delicious drinks. Really recommended. People really enjoy their job.

If we hadn't made a reservation and the reputation of the Spearribs hadn't preceded us, we would never have spontaneously gone into the restaurant 🙈 It's not a feast for the eyes from the outside - it's more reminiscent of a not-so-nice backyard pub 🫣 There's a different way to be inviting. But super tasty food, albeit high prices. But the staff was super friendly and very nice. Finding a parking space was a bit difficult... but we would definitely come again 🍔🍺

The potatoes that are served there as a substitute for fries are very tasty. However, the burgers are rather mediocre and, above all, too big to take a bite of, so you always have to cut off a part with a knife and fork and never actually have the right burger experience. Besides, it is very expensive.

Very disappointing. Both the order and the food took an extremely long time to arrive. Some of the food was cold and mostly hardly seasoned. The attempt to get a box for the leftovers and pay for them also failed several times. It's a shame - we used to love going here.

Service staff is very friendly and relaxed. However, we had to wait 1.5 hours for food, which was a bit too long. However, it was recognized and an apology was made. The slices were too dry, but the burger was extremely good. So you can eat burgers there, but it's better to plan a little more time👍🏻

Nice service, very friendly. We had reserved for 4 and got our table very quickly. After ordering, we waited 1.5 hours and had to ask about the food conditions several times. There was 45 minutes between the starter and the main course. The main course came after 1.5 hours. The hamburger was "okay", little seasoned, no sauce, the meat was good. The chicken tenders tasted rather average. Price performance “meh”. Simple fast food too expensive, side dishes cost too much. Fills you up.

Spare ribs, potatoe slices, chicken wings, beer, cocktails... all of the finest and the service is super friendly and available for "every" gag! One of my favorite locations in Darmstadt! Keep it up, you're doing everything right.

Everything was delicious and the service was nice, but €25 for a burger with fries (basic burger topping costs extra) is a bit much.

We were there early on a Saturday evening. Drinks came super quickly. After 45 minutes I asked for our food, after consulting with the kitchen it was said another 10-15 minutes. After another 25 minutes I asked again… they apologized again and said it would come soon if we wanted a shot. Um no, I don't want alcohol, I just want my food. After a good 1 1/2 hours in total, our food finally arrived, chicken wings and burgers (noticeably completely without sauce, which was again upon request). Conclusion nothing special, if you have time and money you can go there. For this failed visit I would have expected at least a dessert on the house.

Delicious burgers, friendly staff but not that cheap. The ambience is very authentic, everything is a bit winding and creates a cozy atmosphere. I find it a bit strange that garlic butter is smeared on the burger buns, that didn't really convince me.

It tasted good and was plentiful. However, at around 90 euros for 3 people with drinks and no starters, it's not a bargain. We had burgers with beef patty or pulled pork and sliced ​​potatoes and will definitely come back :-) Parking is easily possible nearby at the eastern or western Mercksplatz, but unfortunately there is a fee (75 cents per 30 minutes).

The staff was super friendly from start to finish, there was no table available when we arrived and then we waited on a couch until a table became available. You should definitely reserve a table. The prices are completely justified. First time here and definitely not the last time🙂👍

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our table. After we ordered our burger we had to wait 1.5 hours for it. When the food finally arrived it wasn't even good because the burgers were very dry. But what was by far most annoying was that we didn't even get an apology. So I really can't recommend this store.

We had reserved, but our table was booked twice, so we had to wait until a table became available. After about an hour we were moved without explanation or announcement. We have been to the Red Barn several times and would love to come back. Delicious food in a cool atmosphere. The service is nice and friendly. You should reserve a table by email - it could be difficult to get a seat spontaneously. All around a great experience 🤙

On Sunday February 25th André was there (very friendly). Everything was great 100% as it should be. I'll let my old recession stand for now, but the stars have been corrected. Old recession: So the food was great, the service was good at the beginning but then terrible. Waited for two cokes and still didn't get it after 30 minutes. Then I paid and when I paid I said I didn't want the Coke anymore. The waitress asked for a tip when paying. What else can you say about that? Once and never again .

Very good evening with 8 people! Entertaining staff, great design of the restaurant, extremely tasty food and not a long wait. Spare ribs and burgers were convincing in every respect. We will be back!

Every experience I have had here has been consistently positive. Every member of the service always has a casual saying on their lips. Special praise goes to Jordan, who really gave his all in service last time and absolutely deserved his tip, and of course to the kitchen. I am always a guest and will continue to be in the future. A clear recommendation from me for anyone who wants inexpensive food with good taste, great service and a rustic, charming western atmosphere!

A pity . As a large group you have to put up with a lot. Payments are made every hour. And from 10 p.m., directly after every order. And then you can only pay with cash register from 15€. Should I now consume at least €15 with every order? The quality of the food is also nothing special. But a lot.

The Red Barn Western BBQ restaurant has a cool western decor. Good fitting music. A good mood. Unfortunately I had forgotten my smartphone. But there are enough pictures from the other reviews. We had a reservation and arrived 30 minutes late. The team reacted brilliantly and assigned us a nice seat in the well-filled restaurant. Despite the busy restaurant, the food we ordered was served to all of us at the same time. The dishes are an authentic barbecue experience👍. The preparation and quality are impeccable. There is a good selection of different sauces and side dishes. The friendly team contributes to the warm and good atmosphere. The Hessian dialect is celebrated linguistically, great😉. The team is friendly, competent, relaxed and engaging. Conclusion, I can recommend the Red Barn Western BBQ in Darmstadt. BBQ lovers will get their money's worth and feel comfortable. You get a good culinary experience👏.

3 x versucht und leider wieder enttäuscht worden . Das ganze Restaurant ist kalt ! Hatten dann einen Platz an der Heizung bekommen ,trotzdem wurde es einfach nicht warm . Spareribs waren auch nicht heiß . Die Bacon streifen in meinem Ceasar salad waren leider kalt und trocken . Das war’s leider endgültig für uns …..

Food was rather mediocre. The meat was quite good, but the burger as a whole was average at best. This was due to both the bread and the tasteless onions. There was also only the cheapest tea in a bag, but I wouldn't complain too much about it, after all it's not a tea room. Nevertheless, given the price, there are significantly better alternatives when it comes to burgers and the like.

Despite our delay, we were able to quickly find a comfortable seat in the crowded Redbarn. The food and cocktails were very good and corresponded to the price in terms of taste and portions. The atmosphere was quite loud due to the many people but still very inviting. The service was quick and super nice. A little tip - park at the Art Nouveau pool, the spaces on site are quite rare.

Ich war immer ein sehr großer Fan von diesem Restaurant. Leider muß ich sagen, dass die Speisen mittlerweile echt sehr teuer geworden sind. Ein Burger 15-18 Euro ohne Beilage finde ich schon sehr viel. Für mein Verständnis war es eher immer ein nettes Lokal für junge Leute und Studierende. Schade dass man dann zum 1. Januar direkt um fast 4 Euro erhöhen muss. Ich werde in Zukunft den Burger wo anders essen. Schade!

War letzte Woche zum ersten mal da zum Essen...... Ich fand es echt super -Auf den Punkt leckere Burger -Super nettes Serviceteam - Getränke und Speisen wurden mit absolut minimalen Wartezeiten an den Tisch gebracht. Fazit top und definitiv nicht zum letzten Mal da gewesen.

Die Ribs waren leider etwas zu geschmacklos. Mir hat der pepp bzw Würze gefehlt die ich mir für den Preis gewünscht hätte. Service und Ambiente sehr gut.

Ambiente: coole Einrichtung, man fühlt sich wie in einem Western Diner. Service: Super freundlich, aufmerksam und cool drauf. Essen: Insgesamt war das Essen gut. Wir hatten die Spare Ribs und den Taco Salat. Bei beidem hat uns der gewisse Pepp gefehlt. Es hat gut geschmeckt aber es war für uns nicht gut gewürzt, da hätte es gut getan, wenn noch eine hot sauce dabei gewesen wäre, zumal Pfeffer und Salz ebenfalls nicht auf dem Tisch standen. Preise waren auch schon recht hoch. Insgesamt trotzdem für den ein oder anderen Besuch empfehlenswert.

Das Essen ist immer gut, das Personal ist freundlich,nur nicht immer die schnellsten. Auch die Atmosphäre stimmt.

Alles war nur mittelmäßig. Burger und Hähnchenfingers waren trocken, Kartoffeln 2 Minuten zulange frittiert. Das Ambiente im Hof lässt zu wünschen übrig. Früher war es deutlich besser.

Aufgrund der hier ersichtlichen Angabe, dass dieses Restaurant Speisen zum Mitnehmen anbietet, war ich dort. Der Kellner verwehrte mir eine Bestellung, da man keine Speisen zum Mitnehmen heraus geben würde. Darüber hinaus war der gewählte Ton unangebracht. Kundenpflege und Freundlichkeit geht anders.

Wir waren heute zum letzten Mal, im Red Barn essen. Wir haben den Schlemmerblock und haben das auch bei der Bestellung mitgeteilt. Wir haben 2x die Spare Ribs (Full Rack) für je 25,99€ und als Vorspeise haben wir das Knoblauchbrot mit Käse überbacken für 7,99€ bestellt. Nach dem Essen haben wir die Rechnung bekommen und dort wurde uns die Vorspeise für 7,99€ gestrichen und die zwei Hauptspeisen zu je 25,99€ wurden voll angerechnet. Nach Rückfrage, warum uns die Vorspeise rausgerechnet wurde und nicht eine der beiden Hauptspeisen wurde uns erklärt, dass das Knoblauchbrot mit Käse eine Hauptspeise sei! In der Karte steht es eindeutig bei Vorspeisen. So was habe ich auch noch nicht erlebt. Das ist eine bodenlose Frechheit und ich werde euch entsprechend weiter empfehlen!

Mein bester Freund und ich waren am Samstag dort. Überragendes Essen und überragender Service. Komplettes Personal überaus freundlich und sehr gut gelaunt. Die harmonische Zusammenarbeit in dem Restaurant hat automatisch mit guter Laune angesteckt. Die Abstände, ob wir noch was brauchen oder alles gut ist, waren perfekt. Wir haben es tatsächlich bereut so früh gegangen zu sein. Ihr seht uns wieder, vielen Dank für alles !!!

Sehr leckere Burger - leider gibt es aber keine Kinderkarte

Wir waren das erste Mal hier und werden definitiv wieder kommen. Service und Ambiente sowie das Essen waren echt toll gewesen.

Na ja habe keinen Vergleich da ist noch jede Menge Luft nach oben!

Das Essen dort ist sehr gut! Ob Burger oder Spareribs, einfach top! Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und locker drauf. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, urig und im "Wilden Westen" Style eingerichtet. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Waren Samstagabend da gewesen. Leider gab es um 18.30 Uhr schon keine Spareribs mehr. Zwangsweise Pull Pork bestellt. Getränke auch teilweise nicht bestellbar. Hamburger waren sehr gut im Gegenteil zu dem Pull Pork. Preis / Leistung passt nicht. Viel zu teuer für die Portionen. Nachtisch ungenießbar. Schade, hatten uns gefreut dort zu essen.

Sehr lecker und immer wieder gerne

Das Essen ist sehr gut und super lecker. Vorallem die Rips sind zu empfehlen. Um noch welche zu bekommen sollte man aber entweder unter der Woche oder am Wochenende recht feüh da sein. Das Restaurant ist cool und stimmig eingerichtet. Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wir sind begeistert. Von Anfang an Top. Der junge Mann mit dem "Mützje", der uns bedient hat, war der Hammer, sowas von nett und witzig. Das Essen war einfach nur Bombe. Ebenfalls das Dessert.

Wir hatten einen richtig tollen Abend in dem Restaurant. Wir bekamen auch ohne Reservierung schnell einen Platz angeboten. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam schnell und heiß zum Tisch gebracht. Der Service war unschlagbar gut. Die Mitarbeiter waren super gelaunt und haben uns immer wieder zum Lachen gebracht. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön hergerichtet. Ich hatte nichts auszusetzen.

Toller Laden. Sehr leckeres Essen und super Personal. Waren jetzt schon öfter da und immer wieder sehr zufrieden.

Stimmungsvolles Ambiente, überaus freundliches und aufmerksames Personal , umfangreiche Auswahl und grandiose Küche. Dieses Restaurant kann man nur empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für das Essen, da bei den 15€ Burger leider keine Kartoffelscheiben inkludiert sind. Das ist schon sehr teuer für die Burger alleine. Des Weiteren vermissen wir die dicken selbstgemachten Pommes. Die waren auch sehr lecker.

Ich musste mit Erschütterung feststellen das mein ApfelweinCola mit Wasser verdünnt wurde- vor meinen Augen. Auf Nachfrage wurde das dementntiert. Ich habe es mit meinen eigenen Augen gesehen. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von der Location, ich hatte eigentlich ein sehr gutes Bild.
