Very tasty P.U. tank beer. Very large food portions, quality is decent. Service is okay. The noise level in the dining area is extremely high, exacerbated by the radio being played much too loudly. The heating being set to zero in autumn/winter makes it uncomfortably cold. There is only one toilet for men and women. Cash payments have been the only accepted method since the beginning. The waiter calculates the bill in his head – and sometimes incorrectly. A small consolation prize for potentially high bills is the occasional complimentary drink. No receipt is given. Draw your own conclusions. All in all, in my opinion, it's more about processing guests than providing heartfelt service – therefore, I cannot recommend it.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite to my taste, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. If you like traditional German cuisine, you'll be right at home here. All in all, it wasn't for me, but maybe it will be for others. Give it a try.

A fantastic experience. The beer tasted so good that I might have had one too many 😋 But with the delicious food, it was perfectly fine. One of the waiters has a rather crude sense of humor that takes some getting used to. But he's a really good guy, so don't let that put you off. Overall, this restaurant ranks very highly on my list of places to eat in Pieschen, and I can only recommend that other people from Dresden and the surrounding area give it a try!

The food is surely fantastic and tastes amazing if only we could try it. We had originally made a reservation for November 26th, but unfortunately couldn't make it then, so we changed the reservation to November 19th, with written confirmation via email. What we unfortunately didn't know was that the restaurant is closed on public holidays, but they could have mentioned that in the confirmation email instead of confirming the date. In response to our email expressing our disappointment at the closure, we simply received the reply "Closed on public holidays," without any apology. That's not very customer-friendly. Luckily, there are plenty of other excellent restaurants in Dresden.

An authentic Czech restaurant with a concise but good menu. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. Two drawbacks: firstly, it's quite noisy due to the size of the room and the number of guests; secondly, unfortunately, they don't accept card payments.

Yes, that's all good, but there's only one toilet for all genders, and unfortunately we have too many of those.

Authentic Czech cuisine and service.

Outrageous behavior... We had reserved a table for 10 people, but unfortunately only 5 showed up (our parents' regular table – which we had also mentioned in the reservation). We apologized, but the waiter refused to offer the remaining 5 seats separately to walk-ins at 7 pm (!). Four out of the 5 ate something. Things escalated when it came time to pay: We were told to be grateful we didn't have to pay a penalty because of the reservation. We hadn't given a sufficient tip. He claimed that a table upstairs (as requested) would require an extra waiter... A calm rebuttal escalated into insults (idiot, moron) and a chase into the street with threats of violence. Luckily, the older waiter came after us and calmed his argumentative colleague down. The website clearly emphasizes the (good) beer. It should be made clear there – and also in the reservation confirmation – that they only want guests who generate maximum revenue. The "cash only" policy (why, if guests are expected to spend a lot of money?) wasn't even mentioned. Sure, everyone needs revenue these days—but they should still treat their guests with respect. It's a shame, Czech hospitality has a good reputation—unfortunately not here.

The menu was clear and concise, the food was good, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. A pleasant experience with potential for repeat visits. I will definitely come back.

You've barely sat down when a delicious beer arrives at the table, and if there's even a hint that it's about to run out, the waiter is already asking if you'd like another. The accompanying culinary experience transports you directly to the promised land of Bohemia (and doesn't keep you waiting long either). On our last visit, we sampled goulash, garlic soup, bacon dumplings, and steak tartare, and everything tasted superb, so we'll definitely be back.

Had lunch today Food was good I would like to criticize the fact that the restaurant was unheated and card payments were not accepted.

We stopped here with the family yesterday. It's a really beautifully decorated restaurant with friendly and attentive service. Over the course of the evening, the restaurant filled up and became quite noisy. The children's menu is very limited, with two dishes, one of which was fries with ketchup, but we knew that. The Bohemian sirloin with dumplings has been a favorite of mine since childhood. Unfortunately, yesterday's dish featured very tasty dumplings but very tough meat. The homemade strawberry lemonade, which cost just under €6, was unfortunately just sparkling water with frozen strawberries, which disappointed the child. There's no transparent cash register system with a receipt for the customer; a handwritten note for verifying the bill is a bit "adventurous"; payment is cash only. All in all, a nice restaurant, but some of the drinks and dishes could be improved.

The tank beer is great. The food is mostly fried. No boiled potatoes. Svickova is quite good, though. The prices are a bit high. All in all, rather disappointing.

Delicious, traditional Bohemian food in a cozy atmosphere, especially the garlic soup

We went out to eat on October 9, 2025. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the prices, in my opinion, are on the high side.

The waiter made a fool of me by offering me a small beer. The chicken that was fired was clearly pork. A huge argument instead of admitting it and apologizing! Never again.

I'm thrilled. My grandparents came from Pilsen, and for the first time, I experienced such delicious Czech cuisine as my grandmother used to cook. The goulash was divine, absolutely magnificent. And a delicious Pilsner Urquell to go with it. Thank you for the lovely Czech evening!

I can only give it one star because, unfortunately, we didn't get to eat. We only found out at the door that they don't accept card payments, and we didn't have enough cash with us, or the nearest ATM was too far away. They should state this on their website.

Babicka Dresden – Fast, delicious, but cash only Babicka in Dresden offers an experience characterized above all by efficiency. If you're looking for good food quickly, this is the place for you, as the dishes arrive super quickly – almost too quickly to allow you to arrive in peace or enjoy the atmosphere for longer. You barely have time to relax before the next course is served. The food itself is excellent and scores highly for its taste and quality. The beer is also very tasty and worth recommending. The service was fine, with no particular highs or lows. The staff were present and did their job, but without any outstanding friendliness or personal touch. One important point to note is that they only accept cash payments. This can be a bit of a surprise if you're not prepared for it and may lead to a spontaneous search for an ATM. Therefore, it's advisable to bring enough cash with you before visiting Babicka. Conclusion: Babicka is a good choice for those who value fast, delicious food and good beer. If you're prepared for the fast pace and cash payments, nothing stands in the way of a pleasant visit. You have to know!

Great restaurant! The beer is delicious, but the food is even better! You really don't know what to order first. The portions are more than generous. The service is attentive and very friendly. My personal favorite among the Czech restaurants in Dresden, where you sometimes feel like you're being served in a mass-processing process. A clear recommendation!

We've been there twice in a few weeks. We always order some drinks and food. The selection is great, especially the beer selection, which our Skat group makes a lot of use of. Also, I'd like to praise the fact that you can play Skat in a pub while enjoying a beer. We'll be back.

Hello, I was able to dine there on July 4, 2025, for my grandmother's birthday party (Riedel family). I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, plentiful, and authentic. The waiter was extremely nice. Even when a guest was being rude to him, he reacted in his cool manner. Unfortunately, this meant we couldn't say goodbye in peace. We felt very comfortable. A true gem in Pieschen! At "Babicka am Rausch," you'll find not only delicious cuisine, but also the freshest Pilsner straight from the tank. Great ambiance, very friendly staff, and top-quality beer. A real asset to the location. And there's even more space upstairs, which you wouldn't notice from the outside. The friendly staff kindly gave us a little tour. You should definitely try it! This place offers great value for money. We'd be happy to come back. :-)

From our perspective, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. We've never had meat cooked this well, either in the city or in the Czech Republic. The fries were cooked to perfection, and every single one was simply amazing! We just didn't make it. That was very unfortunate. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately we cannot confirm the good reviews here. The ambience is okay, the operators can't do anything about the volume in the room, but it belongs in a Czech restaurant somewhere. Service very friendly and always attentive. The taste of the beer was very good, which unfortunately cannot be said about the food. We then decided on burgers and grilled chicken breast. There was a lot of water coming out of the burger patty, which was still spread over the plate, for me it was more of a sign of cheap frozen meat. In terms of taste, the whole burger had the simplest fries available on the market, unfortunately nothing, a shame for the price. The chicken breast was also unfortunately grilled to death and somewhat carelessly prepared. Conclusion: Price-performance ratio is unfortunately not there for our taste, only the service was a bright spot

Yesterday the three of us tested the "new" Babicka in a state of intoxication" and we weren't thrilled. The volume alone was sometimes unbearable (up to 90 decibels). There are simply too many people in such a small room. This is also called maximizing profits. The three of us had tartare as a starter. The main courses arrived 5 minutes after the starter, a joke. The loveless tartare for almost 20 EUR is completely overrated. That could be much better. There All you have to do is go to Vetruse in Usti and then you'll know how the tartare should be prepared. The meat in the Pilsen beef goulash was sometimes al dente (that's possible, but not at almost 19 EUR). The dumplings were so horrible that I can do that much better at home. Maybe the chef or operator should go to the Ratskeller in Liberec and then they'll know what I mean. There's no price-performance ratio. I don't know if it was the food, but one of us ate braised beef with cream sauce and had to throw up about an hour after leaving the Babicka. But I don't want to imply that it was the food. Only the Pilsener Urquell (tank beer) has no points of criticism. The service was fine, except for the mishap with the starter and main course. Conclusion: Maybe others had better luck. For us it was a wasted evening with a bitter aftertaste and we will avoid this location. We hope the chef or operator will take our advice and try out the Czech restaurants mentioned to improve their food. Price-performance doesn't match.

Food is okay, but not a highlight in terms of taste or appearance. I don't think it's good value for money considering the food, service, ambience and location.

We had dinner there last night. Super tasty and plentiful food, great service, absolutely recommended! Reservation strongly recommended. Unfortunately, this is only possible on site, as Telekom has still not managed to install a usable connection there, unless the tenant pays over €2,000 for a new connection. Crazy :-(

After the first tank is used up, the beer also tastes good

Very good. Despite the fact that we were sitting upstairs in the last corner, the service was always there at the right time and you didn't feel forgotten. One star deducted because the price-performance ratio wasn't perfect - but it was okay, especially with regard to the main courses.

We were able to spontaneously reserve a place for Saturday at very short notice on Friday evening. A super nice service awaited us. Drinks and food came quickly. We usually always go to Hresnko to eat, but the food can keep up with her. Personally, I even thought the garlic soup was better😋We'll definitely be back soon, thank you for the lovely evening🥰

Food nothing special and extremely overpriced!!

I was really looking forward to the new Babitschka in a rush - the first salad was unfortunately a disappointment: the toast and the lettuce leaves were like old dry paper (the dish is called: freshly picked green lettuce leaves) - only the ermine with cranberries was tasty. The salad wasn't worth the high price! Beer was good, although I wish the glasses were the same size! Half a beer with a lot of foam in a large glass feels somehow poor... It was also quite cold, old dowels in the walls - why? Too bad - false start.

Babička intoxicated First of all, you should know that the owner recently changed hands. However, only the name of the Google location was changed, but the old recessions were retained. The Babička intoxication has nothing to do with the old intoxication, because now there is Czech cuisine and beer. I would recommend a reservation because the restaurant was full to capacity on Saturday evening. But we were able to reserve a table for Saturday evening on Friday without any problems. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern and cozy and the service is friendly, attentive and fast. Although three other tables (approx. 20 people in total) placed their orders at the same time, we had our drinks after 5 minutes, the starter shortly afterwards and the main course after about 30 minutes. The food was very good and the portion was big enough. I was eating in a rush for the second time in the days following the reopening. The location is still very nice and there is also delicious tank beer again. I once ate tartare and beef cheeks. The tartare was fresh, unfortunately the capers etc. were missing and the topinka bread could have used less oil. Unfortunately, the onion rings were just rings of dough...there were probably no onions in them. I think this can be improved.

A notice. Something is wrong here. The operator in the restaurant changed and simply adopted the "old" reviews in a rush. I don't think that's good. It is a new company. Now there is a new host or restaurateur on site Babicka - a Czech restaurant: I myself tried to reserve a table in the new Czech restaurant several times via telephone. That didn't work. Because: The number is not correct here on Google. But the doorbell always rings... sometimes it's busy... Furthermore, I was there today: You should reserve a few days earlier, because unfortunately it's no longer possible to do it at short notice on the weekend: everything is booked. What surprised me most: no card payment possible today. I find that very strange these days. I have my suspicions that something is not going well here technically. Anyway, I wanted to eat BUT everything was booked for tonight. I'll try again. But in my opinion things should go better for a restart.

We expected more and were unfortunately a bit disappointed... We were really looking forward to typical Czech food, which we also got, but unfortunately the execution was not convincing. The menu is very “short” and not really appealing, two goulash, one cheese, one roast, oh well. The prices are pretty high for what you get. The service was friendly but rather taciturn. The ambience is uncomfortable, the feel-good character is missing. Unfortunately, we are used to a different standard in the Czech Republic, which of course made it a bit difficult for us that evening. Overall, everything can be improved quite a bit, for this reason we wouldn't necessarily eat here again.

The store is bankrupt. At least cancel events online if they are no longer taking place. This way you definitely save yourself pointless driving. Response to owner's reaction: "We are not insolvent, we just no longer produce" Sorry, but there was something about bankruptcy on your door. Specifically, it was about the “Comedy im Rausch” event you advertised. I am of the opinion that you have to bear responsibility for this if you have already advertised this event on Facebook and on your website.

Special food in a simple, hip, feel-good atmosphere. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant. Special dishes, well prepared, really tasty, nice service and pleasant, simple decor. You just feel comfortable . Had cauliflower steak with sweet potato, rabbit leg with mushroom risotto and beer with it...incredibly delicious. Keep it up 👍🏻

Very tasty food in a nice restaurant. You can enjoy more fine dining without the embarrassment of wearing a hoodie and jeans. Very nice staff and the menu is a bit more unusual despite its shortness. But it's worth it. Of course, you can't spend 10-20 euros per person here for a nice evening, but you really get a lot for your money. There seems to be a small event room upstairs where smaller performances often take place.

A very cozy insider tip in Dresden Pieschen is the “Rausch”. Small but nice, you can discover different types of beer here (including from the tank!) and sometimes you'll be amazed at the delicacies there are to try, especially on the special offers. There are also always smaller events such as concert evenings and comedy. The prices are a little higher, but that's not all that surprising, also because it's a little different and therefore something special. The quality is definitely convincing. The waitresses are very relaxed and relaxed, and all in all there is a family atmosphere here. It's easy to lose track of time here. Fortunately, you can easily pay by card and also leave tips.

Very nice restaurant where you can just have a drink (well separated). The dishes were very good, service was quick and attentive without being intrusive for a second. The facility is good. The prices for the food are a little above average (starters around €8-12, main course €20-25), but completely appropriate for the service. The portion sizes are also better than in comparable restaurants. So you leave here full. The tap beer from the copper kettle is very strong, at a more than fair price (around €4.80 for 0.5l), restaurants like this usually like to add a hefty margin, but not here. Positive. So you can have a good meal here without immediately becoming impoverished. Quality and service are at a very high level

Die Kellnerinnen waren super nett. Das Essen war, bis auf eine wesentliche Ausnahme, lecker. Wir hatten die Gnocchi's, welche leider insgesamt nach Brei geschmeckt haben. 8 Gäste haben das genauso gesehen , aber anstatt hier ein Entgegenkommen zu erhalten, wurde uns gesagt, dass es so schmecken muss und andere Gäste sich noch nie beschwert haben. Das ist nicht cool, denn es gibt einem den Eindruck, dass man selbst und sieben weitere Personen keine Ahnung vom Essen haben. Natürlich waren diese selbst gemacht, aber das ist nicht das erste mal, dass wir selbstgemachte Gnocchis essen. Wir sind gehobne Küche gewohnt, aber leider wurden wir a) beim Essen enttäuscht und b) wurden wir als Personen hingestellt die keine Ahnung haben und c) hätte man hier auf den Gast eingehen können. Trüffel sollte auch drin sein, haben wir leider nicht geschmeckt. Das war schade, denn hier hätte man mit wenig Aufwand die Gäste glücklich machen können. Im Großen und Ganzen, hat es wie zerkochter Brei geschmeckt und es wäre sinnvoll gewesen, wenn wir ein tolles Essen gehabt hätten und ohne Hunger hätten nach Hause gehen können. Auch für knapp 19 Euro fehlte es hier an Orginalität. Da sind wir anderes gewohnt. Schade, denn es hätte schön sein können.
