A lovely restaurant right in the center of Bad Langensalza. I loved the food, home-style cooking of very high quality, good service, and the rustic decor. I'd be happy to come back.

We were at the Ratswaage on October 5, 1925. For drinks, we ordered two wine tastings. The white wine was good, but the rosé wine was spoiled and tasted of vinegar. The waiter refused to open a new bottle of wine and rejected our complaint. We also had to pay for the spoiled wine.

Just a glance at the menu suggests something bizarre or even unprofessional: various fonts, sizes, and colors, as well as adventurous punctuation and spelling. Then the waitress comes again: bored, unfriendly, uninterested, uncommunicative. The "highlight," however, is the boss's behavior after a request to change a salad type. Even when pointed out that one doesn't want to be addressed informally, he blathers on merrily, ignoring the usual physical distancing. One time he wants to give the already ordered drinks on the house after one has announced that they won't order food, and then again he doesn't... If the Ratswaage were a pub and not a restaurant, which signals a certain level of sophistication through its ambiance and prices, one could overlook the described "rustic" way of dealing with guests. But as it is: Never again this "establishment" – at least not with this staff! By the way, we found happiness at Villa Italia (note: different address than listed on Tripadvisor and Google Maps)... .

Hello! We spontaneously stopped by Ratswaage yesterday as we were passing through! The service and the staff were top-notch! I had the venison burger with fries, SENSATIONAL!!! High praise!

Although the restaurant was fully booked, we were given the opportunity to dine there at a table we reserved for a later date within a sufficient time slot. The service was first-class and the food very good. You can tell that the cooking here is done with quality and attention to detail, and you can taste it. If we're ever in town again, we'll definitely come back. We can give it our unconditional recommendation.

Friendly service, delicious food and drinks. But why does a 0.5l light beer cost €5.70? I had it in Bavaria (Waldsassen) for €3.50.

Quaint restaurant with an outdoor area in the pedestrian zone. I had the goulash with dumplings and red cabbage, which was delicious. A large selection of beer and wine, and the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive.

Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food. Both the salmon and the chicken dishes were apparently grilled too long. They were very dry, in any case. Even the rustic fries didn't impress. The Formica tables really brought the quality down. Too bad ☹️ Actually, it made a good impression. We won't be back.

We stop here when we want excellent—but not pretentious—food and good drinks in Bad Langensalza. A quaint restaurant with a rustic flair, it offers excellent service, with knowledgeable advice on the extensive selection of drinks and spirits. You can sample fine spirits, such as regional wines, fruit brandies, gins, as well as whiskeys and rum. The local craft beers from the small "Drei Türme Brauerei" are absolutely world-class! Highly recommended!

Des öfteren waren wir hier schon zu Gast und es lohnt sich immer wieder. Sehr gutes Restaurant in Bad Langensalza. Das Essen ist wirklich Spitze und geschmacklich sehr gut. Mit nur einer Bedienung und vielen belegten Tischen in 2 Räumen hat der junge Mann sein Bestes gegeben, immer freundlich und schnell, wo andere schon bei 3 Tischen überfordert sind. Aber wir hoffen für den jungen Kellner, dass später noch eine 2.Bedienung kam….Es war jedenfalls wieder ein sehr gutes Abendessen ohne Beanstandung, es war alles top, gern wieder, klare Empfehlung!

For a family reunion in Bad Langensalza over Pentecost, we chose the Ratswaage restaurant for dinner one evening. The atmosphere was cozy, and the drinks and food were delicious. The chef still needs to practice the Bürgermeister Steak; it could definitely be much tastier.

I've rarely experienced such a bad restaurant. Offering espresso from a cheap vending machine for €3.90 is outrageous and beyond impudence. The "homemade lemonade" served in dirty glasses is industrial sugar syrup with tap water. I asked what kind of sparkling water it was, and the waiter replied, "Tap water, sparkling in a SodaStream." And all this for prices beyond the pale. Absolutely not suitable for vegetarians. Which, in this day and age, can be described as disrespectful and discriminatory. What I got was a mini portion of overcooked gnocchi with frozen spinach, oversalted and tasting like something from a school cafeteria. If you like low-quality, cheap, profit-driven food, come here. Not suitable for anyone else.

We visited Bad Langensalza in our motorhome. We spent two very pleasant evenings at the Ratswaage restaurant. Once outside, once inside, with its cozy interior. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

We were on holiday in Bad Langensalza and can only recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff is very accommodating, friendly and fulfills your every wish.

It's a nice restaurant in town not far from the town hall and the fountain. The food tastes good, there's nothing to complain about, but you have to accept long waiting times. It starts at the entrance, there are places available, but it takes forever before someone comes and assigns a place. Otherwise it is a chic restaurant with Thuringian cuisine.

Food tastes good. Portions far too small to fill a normal adult. Except in Cologne, I've never been served a beer in a 0.2 water glass for €4. We're definitely not coming back.

We had lunch at the Ratswaage with 6 people on Easter Saturday. Our expectations were exceeded. The food is of the best quality and excellent taste. It's super cozy and we were served very well and nicely. The selection and presentation of special drinks is also great. Incredibly beautiful restaurant with a rustic flair. Very good friendly service and really good food…. The local beer from the “Three Towers Brewery” also stands out from everything else... A must for anyone who likes rustic and traditional cuisine. We will definitely come back...

Super warm. Good menu with fresh, regional dishes. Wild herb salad, delicious goulash with great spaetzle, homemade burger rolls and French fries, tender pork cheeks etc. We made another reservation for the next evening for five of us with a dog!

Went to dad's birthday dinner today from Bad Langensalza, traveling from Gotha Baden-Württemberg and Nuremberg. Thank you for the delicious food and the friendly service. Our family reunion in the “Ratswaage” was just lovely for all of us.

While walking through Bad Langensalza we came across the Ratswaage restaurant and spontaneously decided to dine there. Even without a reservation we got a table. The service was very friendly. There is only a small menu, but also a changing weekly menu. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Maybe one or two vegetarian dishes will find their way onto the menu. 😉 But we would love to come back. 💚

Selection of dishes is clear, high prices, small portions, taste not great. We sat in the guest room on the other side of the hallway, first alone, then with another couple. The waiters rarely came. To pay, we said yes in the main dining room.

We have eaten at the Ratswaage several times in recent years. The range of food on offer has now decreased significantly and in my opinion. also the quality - croquettes or spaetzle do not match the menu! It's also unpleasant when you look at the menu online and then notice numerous differences when you get there - by that I don't mean seasonal differences. Apparently there is no good service here anymore - even though the glasses were empty, you weren't asked if you wanted anything else. The seat directly at the entrance opposite. the bar is also very bad. It pulls every few minutes a.G. of traffic; There is no cozy feeling here, also because several people next to me had to hand their empty beer glasses to the barmaid during the meal. All in all, we won't be coming back and can no longer recommend it.

The selection of dishes is manageable but there are very reasonable prices and mini small portions! The taste was good but not excellent...the waiters constantly have to go into the other dining room to serve and actually leave the door open every time, which makes it cold and drafts like pike soup! DO NOT come back

The food is terrific and the quality is unbeatable. The ambience is very, very pleasant and the service is outstanding. It's a shame that we live so far away because this is a gem.

Today's lunch was a tasty and lovely experience. The food, beer and wine were just great.

Someone can't handle criticism, you have to be afraid that Google will immediately delete it if you have a bad review. User and visitor friendly looks different. We praised the food and only really complained about the waiting time. The fact that you then report this to Google and claim it is defamation is unbelievable. It was definitely the first and last time we were there and there was nothing wrong with the food.

We had a very good lunch here. Our local Dreiturm beer is absolutely delicious, cold and fresh from the tap it is a real treat. The schnitzel with side dishes absolutely picked me up. 10/10 points. Very good quality of meat. The service is nice and friendly. 👍🏻 Keep it up and see you soon. 😊

We had booked a beer tasting at the Ratswaage. At the beginning it started well. We each got a beer and a little information about it. After the third beer, a lot of time had passed and it was just left at the table without any further information. It no longer had anything to do with a tasting. And too much time passed between the last beers. It felt like we were forgotten. They advertise 6 beers in 2 hours. For us it took 4 hours.

We had a really tasty meal here at a fair price. Regional products are prepared very well by hand. Very friendly staff rounds off the visit. We'll be back!

Wir waren gestern hier und waren begeistert von dieser schönen Stadt. Viele bzw. die meisten Häuser sind sehr schön restauriert worden. Zu Mittag waren wir in der Ratswaage essen und es war sehr lecker. Wir haben draußen gesessen und wurden äußerst nett bedient. Das Rathaus, die Marktkirche, der Brunnen, alles toll. Im Gelato gab es Super Eis. Und das viele Grün überall. Einfach toll. Wir fahren am Freitag wieder hin und werden die beiden Museen besuchen.

Die nachfolgende Bewertung stellt lediglich meinen Eindruck dar, jeder möge sich seine eigene Meinung bilden! Ein Restaurant mit Biergarten an der Kirche, ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Der Service war flott und freundlich und die Preise sind (18.05.2024) absolut OK. Ich hatte das Schnitzel m. Spiegelei und Rustikalen Pommes, das Schnitzel war sehr lecker und groß, einziger Kritikpunkt, es lag sehr viel Salat auf dem Schnitzel, zu dem Schnitzel hatte ich ein alkoholfreies Störtebeker Bier (0,5 L) Preis f. Essen & Trinken 24,30 €. Hier würde ich gerne wieder einkehren!

So dear people, we had booked a table for 5.30 for 4 people several days in advance, we'll get there on time. The boss is lying around on the phone, it's actually not an issue, and we get a table, very small. We don't have anyone else was the answer... the waitress then said that five of us could sit there... so we really couldn't do better and were really looking forward to the supposedly good food... but if we were there for €150 would eat what it really cost and be treated and blamed like that... we got up and went somewhere else... without words and no one needs restaurants like that... The service was quick and friendly and the prices are (05/18/2024) absolutely OK. I had the schnitzel with fried egg and rustic fries, the schnitzel was very tasty and large, the only point of criticism was that there was a lot of salad on the schnitzel, with the schnitzel I had a non-alcoholic Störtebeker beer (0.5 L) price for food & drink €24.30. I would love to come here again!

We decided to go out for dinner with 14 people on Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. The Ratswaage internet portal stated that reservations for 14 people were no longer possible. I called and expressed my concerns again over the phone. Despite the good reservation situation, they made it possible for us to come at 11:30 a.m. with 14 people. This shows customer orientation and love for the job.

We still found space in a large group without a reservation on Whitsunday. Tried various white Unstrut wines, after excellent advice from the landlord - fine wines among them... Food was all very tasty and plentiful. Perfect at the end of a long day of hiking - the surrounding area is also worth it. Gladly again!
