I've been coming here since 2009, but this restaurant never bores me. Great people, owner who serves herself, owner who is in the kitchen. And the food is absolutely delicious, and lots of it.

Ratssuben is a nice pub with a lot of atmosphere, the personnel is really friendly and welcoming. However they were severly understaffed, in the time that we were sitting there (which was about 2.5 hours) they had to send away about 12 people, because they were understaffed.) But it unfortunately also was reflected in the taking orders and food. Drinks order was taken immediately, but it took about 25 minutes to get a menu, and a long while before the order was taken. We got food after about 60 minutes after that. I had the forrelle with veggies, which was fresh. The fish was very lightly seasoned, but the fish flavour was quite good, the vegetables were a litttle on the soft side, but still good. The schnitzels however, were not crisp. They were a bit soggy and had an unfamiliar aftertaste. They were ok in sense of seasoning. There were also no vegetable sides or garnishes with the schnitzels or fries, which was a bit of a surpise. We did get a dessert afterwards which were all very tasteful. All-in-all we did not have a bad experience, since the staff was super friendly. And we suspect that due to the understaffing the food was not optimal.

We arrived at 8:20 p.m. Asked if we could eat something. It was no longer possible, the kitchen was closed. Their website states that the kitchen is open until 8:45 p.m. and the store closes at 10:00 p.m. Ridiculous!

Delicious food and wonderful service. Was great for each other. And Manuela's trauma certainly did not become alptraum ;-)

Ate here based on the reviews. Actually all tables were occupied, but the owner did her best and we were able to eat. It was all delicious and the schnitzel was mega! Owner very friendly and likes to have fun. Recommended! Reservations are a must 😀

We discovered the council chambers by chance while walking through Elten and saw a very attractive yoghurt cake in the cake display case as we passed by. So we sat straight in the beer garden and enjoyed a piece of very tasty cake (homemade) with a delicious cappuccino. Today we were there for dinner and what can I say, best schnitzel in years with great sauce, fries and salad, all I can say about the portions is that others make two portions out of it.. The ambience is completely to our liking and we really enjoyed it. The boss is an extremely humorous woman and has her heart in the right place and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The boss takes the time and even comes to the table and asks how it tasted. Unfortunately, such nice innkeepers are rare these days. We come often...

We have been coming to this place for years. On 24-08 we already went again with our children...delicious food as always...the owner and the service are great!

I was very pleased with the friendly and humorous service (which is no longer a given these days). After I received my order and tried it, I immediately realized that it wasn't the last time I'd been here 👍. It was really tasty and left me wanting more. I can recommend this place to anyone who wants good food.

Very friendly, German cuisine, a small museum, very large schnitzels, again and again.

We booked a table here for 5 and had great experience. The lady at the cashier had a great humour and made our evening extra funny. We all ordered Schnitzels, some with champignons sauce or cheese, and they were all perfect and iomy. The portions are quite big and some of us couldn't finish it :) the kids could colour and we did had a lovely evening. Will definitely come back.

We had the Manuala dream schnitzel and the Italian schnitzel. A great tent! Nice and old-fashioned as it should be. And a very wide choice of meat and other tasty snacks.

The best schnitzels in the world! Service was excellent thanks to the hostess with a wonderful sense of humor. The restaurant has a large selection of draft beers, we tried several. We ordered 2 schnitzels and potatoes. The schnitzel was soft, lightly breaded and very tasty. We have eaten schnitzel in many places in Germany, but this one is the tastiest. Very large portion, we couldn't finish it so we took it away. At the end of lunch, be sure to try the tincture!!!

Super nice spot to have a nice view. The hostess was super cheerful and nice, that's great! Only the snitzel was very greasy and very floury, fries were fried too hard. Too bad the food was very disappointing, I expected more when I looked at the reviews

Very nice hostess and very cozy place. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very fatty, which caused me to have very bad heartburn in the evening. Otherwise a very cozy tent!

Hier gibt eine wirklich sehr gute "gut bürgerliche" Küche. Die Getränkeauswahl ist ok, von Krombacher bis Guinness und weitere Andechser Spezialitäten ist alles im Angebot. Als "Vereinsheim" der „Superflummies“ haben wir seit vielen Jahren nette Gastgeber und der Club fühlt sich dort wohl. Danke dafür.

What a wonderful "pub". Great atmosphere, and probably the best Schnitzel I have ever been served. It Ruhetag hadn't been Tuesday-Thursday we'd have gone back again without hesitation while we were in Elten.

Our favorite German restaurant! Very friendly owners who can speak Dutch, very useful! 😉 the food is great, lots of it! Perfect. We'll be back to eat a snitzel again soon!

Cozy pub restaurant with delicious food and friendly and cheerful staff, one of whom could also speak Dutch. We had the snitzel Manuela with onion, mushrooms, ham and cheese, you get 2 snitzels of which we only got 1, the 2nd was neatly packaged.

It couldn't be better, Manu is the best. Came as strangers, left as friends after 2 days in town. This is how you live in a pub.

Wonderful to be served here with a smile. Cozy atmosphere and a typical German menu. Plenty of choice of different schnitzels, but vegetarian is also possible. You get large portions. Free parking is available on the square across the street.

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, every bit worth your buck. The owner is a wonderful lady, very kind and enthusiastic. The schnitzel alone is more than I could finish on my own, but I couldn't resist the desert. I mean, it's got cinnamon. There's free parking close to the restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu here! 10/10 would recommend, drove almost an hour for this and would do it again.

Fantastische Duitse Stube restaurant waar je heel veel verschillende schnitzels kan eten. Eigenaresse Manuela is super gezellig. Spreekt ook nog Nederlands. Na een dagje goedkoop boodschappen doen in Kleef ff langs Ratsstuben rijden.

Heerlijk gegeten en hele vriendelijke eigenaren. De eigenares doet ook de bediening en spreekt erg goed Nederlands. Het was erg gezellig. Wij komen zeker terug!

Leider wurde der guter Bewertung nicht gerecht. Waren zu viert hier essen und waren enttäuscht. Pommes schmeckten wie vom Vortag und eines unserer Schnitzel war halb roh. Auf Nachfrage durften wir mit der sehr unfreundlichen Kellnerin diskutierten. Um es kurz zu fassen wurde uns vermittelt, dass wir keine Ahnung von gutem Essen hätten. Als kleine Entschädigung gab es hinterher einen Schnaps, der aber nochmal mit einem blöden Spruch hingestellt wurde. Wir kommen jedenfalls nicht nochmal wieder.

Super lekkere en grote snitzels. Bij te bestellen aardappelen, friet en sla. Frietjes erg klein portie, aardappelen en salade prima.

Wie immer waren wir super zufrieden. Regionale Gerichte auf die Jahreszeit ausgerichtet und spezielle Schnitzelgerichte. Super lecker!

Ihr habt mir meinen Geburtstag gerettet. Es war ein gelungener Abend mit sehr gutem Essen, freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service und viel Lachen. Obwohl es super voll war hatte keiner das Gefühl von Stress. Immer wurde aufmerksam nach uns geguckt und es war einfach ein Genuß dort zu sein. Das Fiasko am nächsten Tag in einem anderen Lokal wurde dadurch im Vorfeld sehr abgeschwächt. Meine Gäste möchten Euch gerne nochmal besuchen. Dafür meinen herzlichsten Dank an Euch und das ganze Team Petra

Vlak over de grens in hartje centrum van Elten ligt dit authentieke Duitse eetcafé. Hele aardige en attente bediening. Wij hebben hier een heerlijke wienerschnitzel en hamburger gegeten. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend!

Wenn du richtig geil Essen gehen möchtest, dann bist her mega gut aufgehoben. Top Service, leckeres Essen in super großen Portionen. Ich empfehle das Angus Steak und das scharfe Schnitzel. Ich sage Danke und freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Geweldige gastvrouw die een integraal onderdeel is van de grote sfeer. Het eten was ook geweldig en we konden niets anders hebben gevraagd.

Nice selection of schnitzels - reason why I wanted to stop on the way and eat here. The waiter proposed us the Pfferlingen as it the season so we went for this one. Really lekker! Quantity of food and price was good! A good place for dinner!
