Our go-to Italian restaurant for years... We loved the pizza there (at least until our last visit). Unfortunately, it seems that since the owners moved to a second location in Leipzig, some things have changed. The pizza is almost inedible. When we asked if there was a different chef, this was confirmed, and we were also told that they no longer make the dough themselves but use pre-made dough. It's a shame about the really good toppings when the flat dough sticks to your mouth. We're sadly no longer an option. Perhaps it's still a very good place if you choose other dishes. The atmosphere is great...

The service is attentive, efficient, and perfectly balanced: present when you need something – unobtrusive when you simply want to relax or have something to discuss. A lovely balance that's rarely found in this form. The menu is refreshingly concise, yet cleverly composed – quality clearly takes precedence over quantity. Where other restaurants might offer 50 different pizzas vying for attention, here the focus is on an honest selection with fresh, high-quality ingredients. This feels well-thought-out and whets the appetite for more. On a trip to the restroom, you'll discover beautifully arranged details, little surprises, and numerous nooks where coziness is almost hidden – as if it knows it doesn't need to be sought out. One star is deducted for the slightly too soft pizza dough. Especially with such a charming Italian "export hit," one would expect the crust to show a bit more character – thin, crispy, and proud of its origin – right down to the center. A minor flaw, but one that hardly detracts from the enjoyment of the visit. Overall, a place to feel good and return to – Mediterranean coziness with heart and soul, just not quite perfect (yet).

This Italian restaurant is highly recommended. The food is incredibly delicious, with a wonderful ambiance and outstanding service. We absolutely love coming here, and our expectations are never disappointed. It's always a truly special experience and a wonderful evening.

This was our first time at this place. The reservation was easy and quick, and the ambiance is beautiful. The service was initially quite pleasant (a young man in an apron) – but everything became uncomfortable and unpleasant when the manager herself took over the service with a great deal of restlessness and arrogance. To make matters worse, we were very disappointed with the food – considering the price. You have such a great time here, but we won't be back.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but satisfactory. The bread basket, which was visible on some tables, was missing. The food actually arrived before the drinks, which seemed truly disorganized. Furthermore, the bench was much too far from the table, making eating quite uncomfortable. The waitress was obviously overwhelmed, unfriendly, and haphazard. Overall, it felt like neither the service nor the processes were working properly. It's a shame; we were looking forward to a relaxing restaurant visit, but we were disappointed. We ordered at 7 p.m. and, due to the crowds, we were taken out of the restaurant by 7:55 p.m.

Great ambience, great service, great food, can only be recommended

We went to the restaurant yesterday for a birthday celebration and it was so incredibly delicious and the service and atmosphere were really great.

"Easter brunch" ... With the family :) The schedule according to the reservation was perfect and the special offer at the buffet was a dream. First of all, half a chabatta alone, served with ham, salami and other sausages, and antipasti in abundance. Salads, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella, tomatoes and great combinations of these were available. At the buffet, from the Kasseler roast to the lamb shank, everything was there, with Italian charm... And I admit, I'm ashamed of a buffet... 4 full plates and only 2 desserts :( but even the desserts were just bomb but my stomach was already full ^^ Service staff super fast, super friendly... The Ceff himself walked around and wished everyone a happy Easter... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO felt!!! Thank you all for the great feast!!!!

We were in the restaurant for the first time last night. We were immediately enchanted by the great ambience and the very friendly staff. The boss also showed us the great rooms and the historic machines that are still in use today. The absolute hammer was the delicious food. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation. It is also very accessible for wheelchair users and there is also a disabled toilet! Top! We will definitely be back!!!!

This restaurant offers Italian food that we always enjoy. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable, so we would be happy to come back. We have been here several times and have eaten both inside and outside - both options have their own special charm. What's particularly worth noting is that the restaurant is also ideal for larger groups and the menu offers options that are also suitable for children. The outdoor seating on the street creates a pleasant atmosphere because the street is not busy. We can recommend.

A really good classic Italian restaurant but well hidden. I was at the restaurant with several people for a business lunch. I was immediately offered a starter platter and there was a very good main course menu. The staff are friendly and very helpful, constantly asking questions about your well-being, which I think is excellent and I appreciate it. The gastronomy cuisine is very fresh and original. An absolutely recommended restaurant in this region. The interior design is a matter of taste for me it's a bit too crowded. However, taste can of course be debated - some people would of course really like this slightly different restaurant. I can recommend the store without hesitation.

We were a group of 10. Dinner was fantastic and the wine selection was something out of another world. The owner is from Sicily and he loves his wine and you can trust his recommendation!

Rip-off? Check the invoice carefully! We are really disappointed! At home we noticed that we were being charged for food and drinks that we never ordered. Something like this shouldn't happen in a reputable restaurant! Whether intentional or negligent, it leaves a very bad impression. We can only advise everyone to check the bill carefully on site. It was definitely the last time for us!

The restaurant is nicely decorated and well attended, but it is sometimes very loud and if you are there with several people it is difficult to understand each other. In addition, we unfortunately had to wait 1.30 hours for our food and for the price it wasn't very good, sometimes a bit unseasoned and the presentation was very different. The portion size was also very variable and sometimes too small. For example, I had the truffle pasta and despite the extra truffle for €5, unfortunately it didn't really taste like it. In general, the service was very nice, but I can't recommend the restaurant for the price range, especially because of the long waiting times and the poor quality of the food.

Great restaurant in an upscale atmosphere with Italian hospitality

There is no relationship between price and performance. Food portion did not meet my expectations. Small espresso ordered was served as a double and charged accordingly. We had live visitors in the paid packaging for the pizza. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

I've been a regular guest for some time now based on a recommendation and it's always great. Best locally produced beef in Leipzig and the surrounding area. Service was great and all the dishes we've eaten so far have been very good. Ideal wine accompaniment. A must.

Four of us had dinner on a Tuesday evening. The outdoor area was full, but inside it was almost empty. The outdoor area is beautifully designed but relatively noisy because it is located directly on a street. The card seemed very promising, but in the end everyone was quite disappointed. We had an antipasti platter as a starter and I had “swordfish fillet with Italian vegetables and potatoes”. The antipasti plate arrived after 30 minutes, the main courses an hour later. On the antipasti platter, some of the carpaccio was still frozen. When it came to swordfish, the disappointment became even greater. The fish was completely dry, the vegetables were completely overcooked and there was a very small potato on the plate. In addition, the vegetables were peppered with lots of raisins, so that the sweetness basically masked everything else. Certainly a matter of taste, but unfortunately it didn't suit me at all. For €28 (just the swordfish) I don't expect haute cuisine, but I do expect the food to be good and not every single component correspond to canteen standards. The service was friendly, but seemed very overwhelmed at times. Conclusion: the restaurant wants to be more than it can, unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Spontaneously stopped by this great restaurant. The food, ambience and service can only be praised. We had a great evening. The staff was super friendly and always up for a joke. I came across this restaurant quite by chance while visiting Leipzig for a course. The name would probably initially suggest a German restaurant, but it is an Italian restaurant with typical Italian dishes. Very friendly welcome on the first evening. The atmosphere is very appealing. I ordered a pizza parma and was really impressed. I can't remember ever eating such a delicious pizza, which is why I reserved a table with my colleagues when paying for the next evening. On the second evening I was warmly welcomed. This time, in addition to carpaccio, there was another pizza parma, my colleague had tartare and pizza diavola as starters. We were both thrilled again. The waitresses were all very friendly and the food was served very quickly (15-20 minutes per dish). We were checked on regularly and asked about our satisfaction! The boss came by every evening and personally asked if everything was OK, but was warm and very friendly. Of course, the food costs a little more than in other restaurants (16-28€ pizza prices/approx. 30cm diameter), but the money is definitely worth it and shouldn't be a problem. A great restaurant that you should definitely visit when you are in Leipzig. I will definitely do this.

Hello, we had dinner with the whole family on Saturday. We've already been to a few Italian restaurants in Leipzig but this one was really the worst of them all. All the pizzas were worse than the pizza delivery service around the corner. Burnt covered with thick dough and fat. Everyone was left with half of it and the disappointment was written all over our faces. The most expensive meal for 34.00 euros was a total failure...The veal was shredded and the supposed first early asparagus was probably from the wholesale market in Greece. It was thin and couldn't be cut, it was bland and there was a spaghetti hanging over the fork :-( so it was inedible. The three small potatoes the size of a table tennis ball were the best of the whole meal. It's a shame, at the end of the day, a huge letdown for all of us. If you want good Italian food, you'd better eat somewhere else different…

It was our first time there; Finding a parking space is extremely difficult. With difficulty we found a place 3 streets away. Because of the nice weather we sat outside. Nice ambience; inconveniently right next to a busy road. But still bearable. The service staff was friendly and courteous; Our waiter in particular was extremely nice. The very high prices were initially surprising. The lemon aperitifs chosen were delicious and reasonably priced. The price of the wine, i.e. per bottle, made you cringe again. €130 unacceptable for a good wine. The Italian starter plate turned out to be a 95% sausage plate; other typical Italian starters were either missing or barely represented 5% (2 small pickled peppers). Highly overpriced for €25. We ordered pasta with truffles. They arrived a bit cold. Probably the long walk from the kitchen across the square to the table. Funny thing too: we were given spices in advance. 🤔 This hasn't happened to us before. Whatever they called truffles there. These “truffles” weren’t. We had an expert among us. According to the waiter, the summer truffle tastes like nothing, you have to eat it wherever it was with truffle cream. 😁 He wanted to bring these to us too. Thankfully declined. The pasta dishes, apart from the ones with chili, had no kick. Unseasoned, the strips of beef are sparse and have a strong taste. The tiramisu at the end was again extremely delicious. Conclusion: Completely normal food, looks nice, but the chef's noticeable love and passion for Italian food is missing. So that special something that stands out in terms of quality. The price is really exaggerated. There are restaurants that offer better value for money.

Today we went to my wife's favorite Italian restaurant again. The food, drinks and ambience were great as always, but we seem to have had a bit of bad luck with the service today. Unfortunately, she wasn't very friendly in her expression and took away some of our peace in the meantime. To rate it positively, it increased towards the end, so that we added 10% TG to our bill.

Finally a real Italian restaurant in Saxony. Great wine selection, excellent food and nice ambience.

Very stylishly furnished. The service is on point and the food ordered was free of any doubt (see below for the only comment). --------- Work should be done on the ventilation and ventilation of the rooms. It's always quite warm there. We had the problem that one of our companions was intolerant to gluten and stated this when ordering. Unfortunately, his meal was prepared with gluten. Today I was eating at the Ratskeller in Taucha with my daughter and wanted to treat myself to Wagyu beef and was more than disappointed. The carpaccio was ok but the fillet of beef was the more expensive piece of meat on the menu and was an absolute disaster. The first position was completely burnt I couldn't eat the second one, completely raw, not medium rare and laced with tendons, but I was allowed to pay 57 euros for the dish, a cheek, not recommended. Pizza and pasta taste good, but for these prices. Not recommended, the boss makes you look exclusive and there's nothing behind it

As always, the food was very good - even if it was quite expensive. The service was also courteous and everyone was friendly. On top of that, I was able to use the few words of Italian that I know, because of course everyone speaks Italian too. For us, the place in Taucha where we can have a cozy meal as a couple and spend a relaxing evening. Personally, I wouldn't come here with children, even though many people do. At the end of the evening we had an antipasti per due (for two) and two drinks each + main course and ended up with just under €90.

A great homepage, you can really imagine a really great restaurant: The ambience is just bad, it gives the impression of a passageway to the athletes' home, which of course confirmed to me that some clubs are still active there. Unfortunately, you won't find a cozy and romantic atmosphere here. The card is very expensive and promising, then disappointment please: My fillet for €65 arrived lukewarm! It lay there carelessly on a plate without any decorations. The grilled vegetables ordered for five euros: two slices of zucchini, three schnitzels, peppers, worth 5 cents when it comes up). For us it was the first and last time at this restaurant. We believe that if you really just want to eat pizza or pasta. Is that really okay? Of course we were inspired by the menu and the great meat, but it was really just disappointing. Shame about the money.

If you want to enjoy really delicious Italian cuisine, this is the right place for you. The cozy atmosphere and the extremely friendly and professional staff make a visit to the restaurant perfect. Since I have visited the restaurant several times, I can say that the high standard is maintained over the long term. For me personally, by far the best Italian in the area.

Wahnsinn... Ich bin immer noch absolut geflasht - nicht nur von dem Essen und der Qualität auch der Service von Lorenzo war beeindruckend. Hier wird man rundum versorgt, kein Wunsch bleibt offen. Man hat nicht das Gefühl das hier gearbeitet wird, man bekommt das Gefühl das man liebt was man tut und der Gast der König ist. Wir kommen jetzt definitiv öfter!!! Einfach toll :) Wir saßen nur ziemlich nah an der Tür, was (durch die Gäste die kamen und gingen) zu einer ungewollten Erkältung führte, aber ansonsten super dort!!!

Den Ratskeller besuche ich schon von Zeit zu Zeit über einige Jahre hinweg. Dabei ist die Entwicklung schön zu sehen, die das Lokal über die Jahre genommen hat. Bei meinem letzten Besuch habe ich zum ersten Mal die Onlinereservierung der Website genutzt, das hat ohne Problem funktioniert. Der Service ist, wie auch bei den letzten Besuchen, sehr zu vorkommend und angenehm gewesen. Die Speisekarte ist etwas kompakter geworden, da man über die Jahre festgestellt hat, was bei den Leuten gut ankommt. Durch diese gewisse Exklusivität hebt man sich auch deutlich von anderen Italienern ab. Das Ambiente durch das Kellergewölbe mit dem indirekten Licht an den Wänden schafft eine tolle Atmosphäre. Natürlich haben auch hier die Preise angezogen wie überall, dennoch wird die Qualität gewahrt und man bekommt nichts von minderer Qualität vorgesetzt.

Ich hätte gerne 5 Sterne gegeben aber ein Stern Abzug wegen meiner Pizza , sie war etwas labbrig in der Mitte und meine Gäste haben essen aufgeschwatzt bekommen was sie nicht wollten auf Empfehlung der Servicekraft und dies hat nicht ihr Geschmack getroffen , und leider habe ich mich als Gast nicht richtig wohl gefühlt da der Chef aller gefüllte 5 Minuten ankam und sehr viel erzählt hat , ich kam nicht wirklich dazu mein essen zu genießen. Das war’s zum negativen. Positiv : Ambiente top alles sauber. Behinderten-/ Rollstuhl gerecht . Service zu zuvorkommend und sehr höflich und freundlich. Essen Qualität absolut top . Preis Leistung ist ok .

Wie oder wo soll man beginnen?! Schon das Ambiente verspricht ein Erlebnis. Die Bedienung herzlich und in allem super kompetent ( ob Speisenauswahl, Fleischberatung, Auswahl des Weines etc.). Die von uns ausgewählten Gerichte waren ein Gaumenschmaus oder, wie Frank Rosin zu sagen pflegt " Gaumensex" !!! Der Garpunkt beim Fleisch war perfekt getroffen. Ein echt italienisches Restaurant, geführt von einem echten Italiener! Buon Appetito!
