Very tasty and friendly atmosphere, worth it!

Traditional, Bavarian, delicious. We've eaten there three times; there are often new daily specials and permanent classics on the menu. The beers are delicious, especially in the beer garden on Sundays. Music is played here in the morning with zither, tuba, guitar, and folk songs.

I really enjoyed it and hope to go back.

The only issue is that the menu is in German. Thousands of foreign holiday makers visit Schliesee. Hence, menus need to be in German and the world common language English!

This review contains the following key points in brief: - Card payments accepted - Gluten-free and vegetarian options - Suitable for dogs We stopped here after a hike around Schliersee. On a Friday afternoon at the end of May, we found a free table in the beer garden. The friendly staff served us quickly. There were two of us and we paid €27.60 for potato salad, Obatzta (traditional German sausage) with two pretzels, an Almdudler (a traditional German beer), and a wheat beer/cola. The allergens weren't listed on the menu, but when asked, they quickly answered. The fried potatoes were gluten-free, but very oily (still very tasty). The Obatzta (traditional German sausage) was also delicious and presumably freshly made in-house. Card and contactless payments are no problem here. There were water fountains at the entrance for our four-legged friends. The beer garden is located in a quiet location, behind the town hall, but not directly on Schliersee.

Full marks from us! We stayed for 3 days and ate there every day! Top-notch food and service! We'll definitely be back, too bad it's too far from home...

! They threaten to charge extra for shared portions. This can be handled much more charmingly and doesn't whet your appetite. Eating out should be fun!

We went there for dinner today and were thrilled. We and our dog received a warm welcome. The server was super friendly and even accommodated our special requests. He was generally very attentive and took great care of us and our dog. The food was also delicious and served really quickly. We highly recommend the Ratskeller.

We were at the Ratskeller a week ago. The food was excellent—so good that we went there two days in a row. The quality and taste truly impressed us. Highly recommended. The service was prompt and very courteous. We highly recommend it if you want delicious, reasonable food at a fair price.

We had the plaice and ox shreds, as well as a Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake). It was delicious! Everything was very tasty. Our server was very attentive and guided us through the menu. The ambiance is rustic and stylish. We'll be back!

A cozy restaurant with delicious food. Our service was also friendly. Unfortunately, a no-go: we're new parents and weren't allowed to bring our stroller inside. Very difficult with very small babies. But we at least brought the carrycot and placed it next to us. However, there's no place to change a baby's diaper in the restaurant (no changing table, no suitable toilet for changing diapers). Therefore, unfortunately, it's not recommended for very small babies.

It started with fantastic service, continued with delicious and beautifully prepared food, and was rounded off by the lovely, rustic ambiance and great atmosphere. A visit is an experience and highly recommended. We recommend reserving a table early. P.S.: The Ratskeller fries are a must-try.

Today we were eating inRatskeller am Schliersee. We were hungry and the waiter told us we had to finish eating in an hour. With the pork schnitzel, inedible fries like rubber, everything was warmed up in the microwave, with the meat plants also warmed up and as a side dish there was hair on the plants. To the unfriendly waiter said laughing and saying sorry 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮

The restaurant is quaint We had dinner here, I had roast pork which was very good. My husband had a schnitzel that was just fine. The fries are a matter of taste.

The food has its price here, but there is a nice atmosphere: lake, etc Passion fruit spritzer: 6/10 too much water Food was excellent, you can't complain about that. One star deducted for the passion fruit spritzer and the paid parking starting at 3 hours

The food was great..we ordered way too much haha.. Our waiter was great... It is a tad expensive but the service and speed of everything (although u gwt asked if you want your main yet after a starter) was unbelievable..and that happened at every table... Thanks..🥰

We just had a drink. Super professional service, everyone was very friendly.

Im Vorbeischlendern an der gemütlichen Terrasse, hatten wir noch Lust vor dem Abendessen, ein Radler zu trinken. Der Kellner meinte sofort, wir schließen bald. Wir sagten wollen nur zwei kleine Radler und sind vor Feierabend weg. Zwei Kellner liefen auf der Terrasse herum, waren mit Abräumen(45 Minuten vor Schließung) beschäftigt, bedienten die Gäste, die noch hier waren, wir wurden keines Blickes gewürdigt, obwohl wir uns bemerkbar machten. Nach einer Weile warten sind wir aufgestanden und gegangen. Der Ratskeller hat es anscheinend nicht nötig, neue Gäste zu bewirten. Fazit: Wir sind öfter am Schliersee, aber der Ratskeller sieht uns nie wieder! Unfreundlichkeit brauchen wir im Urlaub nicht.

We stumbled across the restaurant on our evening search for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! The service was friendly, authentic and fast. They kindly explained dishes and suggested what we might like best. We were not disappointed! The meals were incredible and served quickly! We even had a lovely birthday chocolate lava cake! I came at 1:30 p.m. The waiter gave me a table around a dark corner, even though everything was almost empty. Logical, because everyone has already eaten. I commented that it was a dark corner and he replied that unfortunately the other tables by the window were already six. Yes, but none were already occupied. And one man was happy at one of these 6 to 8 seat tables. He enjoyed alone. Of about 40 seats at the window, none were used in the 1.5 hour I was there. The waitress served me very nicely. For my third beer I made noise for a few minutes. I finally got the service back. The kitchen wasn't that great today either. My delicacy plate was greasy like I've never seen before. Attached is the photo. But, as I said, the service was very nice. In addition, the lighting in the toilet was strobe... 😑

We had the Wagyu beef burger, and it was truly excellent. The bun was nice and airy, yet crispy on the outside. The melted cheese sauce and tomato confit rounded out the burger's flavor perfectly. The service and ambiance were also top-notch; we definitely recommend it!

We were there at lunchtime and would have liked to eat, but even though there were several tables available, we were asked to wait outside. When we asked how long it would take, no one could give us an answer. Unfortunately, this type of guest treatment seems uninviting and not particularly customer-friendly. It's a shame, we would have liked to try the restaurant, but under these circumstances we decided on another location.

I recently had dinner there with my girlfriend. The food (roast pork with dumplings and schnitzel with fries) was very tasty. You can also choose between large and small portions on the menu - which I think is great. The welcome from a gentleman was very friendly. The female waiter at our table made a rather unmotivated impression. We both found the temperature inside to be too cold.

I ate there with a larger group for my birthday. The food was great. Top quality and taste. It was pasta week and the homemade gnocchi was great. The people were super nice and I was congratulated. And when we were a bit stressed at the end because we had to go to the BHF to catch the train, the waiter (who was funny and attentive the whole time anyway) was super relaxed and supportive. Thank you so much. We'll be back.

The experience wasn't very good. The food was okay but a lot of it was too salty. The service is unfriendly and not child-friendly. The only nice thing was the atmosphere. But the poor service unfortunately stands out. They also charged €3.50 for tap water, just for a glass. There are nicer and nicer inns and restaurants nearby. So not worth coming here. A quaint restaurant. Very good service. Big portions. The rest can be packed up. Have fun curling with mulled wine or punch. A nice destination.

If you come to Schliersee ensure you make a visit to the Ratskeller for lunch or dinner a must. The food is excellent as is the atmosphere, service & decor.

Sehr sauberes, gepflegtes Restaurant, urig, wir mussten bei 4 Besuchen in einer Woche nie lange auf unser Essen warten! Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen- wir haben regional bayrisch gegessen - kässpätzle, Schweinebraten, Schnitzel, Ente, alles sehr gut und reichlich. Der Leberknödel ist köstlichst! Die Pommes sind sehr besonders, aus Kartoffeln geschnitten und sehr lecker, nur etwas teuer. Der Salat mit Sprossen ist ein Gedicht! Kaiserschmarrn indes etwas zu mehlig - trocken- eher wie Kuchen, aber trotzdem gut. Einzig verbesserungswürdig- es gibt keine Kinderkarte mit Kinderpreisen bis 10€ wie in anderen Restaurants mit Schnitzel, Fischfilet, Hühnchen, etc. , die Seniorenportionen sind zu teuer. Das war dann als Familie teils zu teuer. Die Preise waren sonst passend. Ansonsten wirklich topp!!

At the end of our day trip it brought us here. It tasted extremely good. Five different dishes and all great! Desserts great. The portion size is also absolutely sufficient. Plus a nice location and nice staff. We'll be back.

The risotto was good but unfortunately not perfect, a bit too hearty for our taste. Pork schnitzel and the more unusual fries (slices instead of sticks) were very tasty.

After a hike on Schliersee, this is exactly the right place to have a delicious meal and a drink. The food is very tasty and the service is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. If you have a dog with you, you are welcome to get a place away from it.

Absolutely worth seeing Bavarian restaurant on the beautiful Schliersee! This was our second time at the beautiful Schliersee but our first time in the Ratskeller. Delicious and beautifully prepared food! Prices within normal limits. The service staff was attentive and very friendly. An integral part of our next visit! Keep it up!

Unfortunately, my table reservation, which I had made over the phone four weeks in advance, had not been noted. But after some back and forth we were given a place to eat. Food was good, the bouillabaisse was highly recommended.

Everything is great! Manfred served us great. Top service as it should be, but you rarely find it anymore. PS: I've rarely had such a good roast pork!! Big praise!
