Wir waren dort, als das Restaurant komplett voll war, und erfahrungsgemäß endet das in Restaurants oft ziemlich chaotisch. Hier war das überhaupt nicht der Fall – jeder wusste genau, was er zu tun hatte, niemand wurde übersehen und wir wurden trotz des Stresses so herzlich bedient. Ich war nach dem Wandern ziemlich müde und der Backfisch war genau die richtige Stärkung. Von allen Restaurants, die wir hier am Schliersee ausprobiert haben, war das mit Abstand das beste!

Einfach großartig und für jeden Diabetiker wichtig, die Küche wiegt das Essen ab! Machen leider die wenigsten. Vielen Dank dafür

Das mit großem Abstand beste Lokal in Schliersee.

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen dort zum Mittagessen. Das Essen und der Service waren hervorragend. Die Angestellten sprachen gut Englisch und unsere Gerichte waren köstlich. Wir teilten uns ein Schnitzel und ein Schweinefleischgericht und tranken jeweils ein Glas Wein. Die Kellnerin war sehr nett und gab unserer Tochter einen Lutscher. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war schön serviert, aber die Kresse was drauf waren ,haben schon mehrere schwarze Flecken gehabt und zum Schluss habe ich noch ein Stück Watte ,wo die Kresse wachsen wahrscheinlich, im meinem Teller entdeckt. Nicht mal eine Entschuldigung oder sonst was,für das Essen wurde ganz normal abkassiert.

Vorweg die Speisen sind ausgezeichnet, ABER, wer glaubt, hier mit seinem Partner einen tollen Abend mit vorzüglichem Essen, einem guten Glas Wein oder einem kühlem Bier in romantischer Zweisamkeit verbringen zu können, täuscht sich. Obwohl wir reserviert haben, blieben wir am Tisch nicht allein... Wer dies mag, ist hier gut beraten, wer hier nur essen will, ebenso. Es erinnert an ein Ausflugslokal mit schneller Abfertigung. Zum Nachtisch kamen wir erst gar nicht, von einem zweiten Getränk ganz abgesehen. Naja, unseres war's nicht.

Erstmal: das Essen und der Service waren spitzenklasse für ein Wirtshaus! Was wir sehr schade fanden und der Grund warum wir dort nicht mehr essen werden: es gab keine Wickelauflage für unser Baby auf den Toiletten oder in einem separaten Raum aus „Platzgründen“. Somit mussten wir unser Baby auf einer harten Wirtshausbank wickeln. Barrierefreiheit bestand leider auch nicht. Schwierig wenn man alleine mit Kinderwagen unterwegs ist. Schade, dass hier die Bedürfnisse von den Kleinsten nicht berücksichtigt werden.

Ordentliche Portionen, leckeres Essen freundliche Bedienungen, viiiiele schattige Sitzplätze. Man muss aber früh dran sein wenn man ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen möchte.

Wir waren vor zwei Wochen am Schliersee und sind am 2.Tag schon auf den Ratskeller gestoßen und sind sehr froh darüber gewesen,denn das Essen ist ausgezeichnet! Eigentlich wollten wir auch gelegentlich mal in der Ferienwohnung kochen,aber das haben wir dann tatsächlich nicht mehr.Da das Essen erstens ausgesprochen lecker ist und die Preise mehr als fair.Niemand bleibt hungrig,es sind gute Portionen. Das Personal ist durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend,ebenso wie die Chefin.Alle geben einem das Gefühl,dass man herzlich willkommen ist.Auch mit Kindern im übrigen! Alles ist sehr gepflegt,das Essen bekommt man zügig und jeder muss dort einmal den Kaiserschmarrn essen,denn der ist göttlich! Alles auch zum mitnehmen möglich! Also wir werden jederzeit wieder kommen,wenn wir wieder dort Urlaub machen.

Sehr schöner Biergarten und sehr freundliches Personal. Auf dem Gebäude befindet sich die Sirene der Feuerwehr. Bei unserem 3stündigen Aufenthalt ging diese 2mal los. Sehr sehr laut.

Wir waren mit unseren Enkelkinder essen. Wir bestellten Käsespätzle mit Soße für unser Enkelkind. Aber leider bekamen wir eine Biersoße. Bei der Reklamation meinten sie noch das ist okay, selbst die Chefin hat nicht darauf reagiert, wurde noch pampig. Nur die Kellnerin hat sich entschuldigt. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

Wie immer ein schöner Abend in einem wunderbaren Biergarten.Das Essen ist mega lecker, das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kaum zu toppen. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Urig, herzlich und einfach guat! ​Ein wunderbar gemütliches Wirtshaus mit traditionellem Ambiente und sehr herzlichem Service. Die bayerischen Schmankerl sind bodenständig, frisch und unheimlich lecker – perfekt für eine Stärkung nach einem schönen Tag am See oder nach einer Radtour.

Klasse Zeit verbracht mit hervorragenden Essen und sehr freundlichem Service. Das Essen war, für mich, absolut Perfekt und lecker. Vielen Dank auch für die Bier Empfehlung.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten nicht reserviert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen wirklich großzügig. Besonders begeistert haben uns die Pommes – keine gewöhnlichen Standardpommes einfach der Hammer. Auch der Service war hervorragend: locker, freundlich und herzlich, dabei aber immer respektvoll und total aufmerksam. Man hat sich sofort wohlgefühlt und es hat richtig Spaß gemacht, dort zu sitzen und das Essen zu genießen. Eine klare Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal mittags im Biergarten Ratskeller gegessen. Das Essen kam schnell und war "saugut", der Service war zuvorkommend und vom Ambiente hat es uns auch gut gefallen. Zum Abschluss noch ein Haselnuss-Schnäpschen. Auch sehr lecker. Wir finden das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider enttäuschend. Das Personal wirkte unhöflich, besonders der Mann am Bierausschank fiel negativ auf. Die Preise sind überdurchschnittlich hoch, zumal viele Speisen nur mit sehr kleiner oder sogar ganz ohne Beilage serviert werden. Wer bayrische Gemütlichkeit und Herzlichkeit erwartet, sollte lieber ein anderes Restaurant wählen. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly, especially the man serving the beer, who stood out negatively. The prices are above average and rather too high, considering that many dishes are served with only a very small side dish or none at all. Anyone looking for Bavarian hospitality and a warm atmosphere should choose a different restaurant.

Das beste Haus am Platz, hier passt einfach alles.

Uriges Wirtshaus, nette Bedienungen, schneller Service, leckeres Essen.

Aufgrund der hervorragenden Bewertungen, haben wir das Lokal gewählt. Es war Zufall, dass wir noch einen Tisch für 2 Personen erhalten haben. Es wurden mindestens 20 Leute weggeschickt, weil die Terrasse nicht geöffnet war. Für die enttäuschten Gäste, hätte ich als Gastwirt mal auf die Wetterabhängig geschaut. Es war nämlich kein Regen mehr gemeldet. Dann kann man den Gästen sagen, dass jeder "auf eigene Gefahr" draußen sitzen kann, unter den großen Sonnenschirmen und falls es regnet, drinnen kein Platz ist. An diesem Abend, wäre das auch sehr gut gegangen. Aber ich bin kein Gastwirt. Man kann hier mit Karte bezahlen, was in dieser Gegend nicht unbedingt üblich zu sein scheint!!! Freundliche Bedienung und Service! Das Schnitzel vom Strohschwein hat mit sehr gut geschmeckt, obwohl ich eigentlich kein Schweinefleisch mehr mag, aufgrund des strengen Geschmacks. Dies war hier nicht der Fall. Die Pommes mögen für andere garantiert auch ein Highlight sein, mein Geschmack war es leider nicht. Ansonsten ein sehr volles Restaurant, mit typischen bayrischen Flair. Ich würde jedem empfehlen vorher zu reservieren!!!

Wir waren zu viert und sind spontan zum Ratskeller gegangen. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und alle sind von den Portionen satt geworden.

We had a lovely meal here. I had the Veal Snitzel and my wife had a Pork Roast. Both were delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Great Service. If you are in Schliersee make sure to call highly recommend this place. Hope to be back soon.

We randomly ended up at this place for lunch - and we had a great time. It was Knödel week, and these were absolutely delicious. They also came with sauerkraut which was also very much worth it. Perfect service as well. I would go back!

A very, very beautiful and memorable restaurant

We've been there twice at different times, including during rush hour. The first time was at the end of June 2025, and the second time was in October 2025, and both times were fantastic. Seasonal dishes were always available, such as chanterelle soup or pumpkin and chestnut soup. The service was quick and attentive. In the summer, the owner greeted us at the entrance and seated us in a lovely, comfortable way, even providing shade and a food bowl for our dog. Even when the restaurant was very busy, the waiter kept a watchful eye on the guests and was always there when needed. Just so you understand: both times we were on vacation in Munich, and in the summer we happened to drive past it after a hike. In the fall, however, we drove an hour there to eat because we were so impressed the first time. Our companions, who accompanied us the second time, were also so impressed with the food that they are now willing to drive there from Munich as well. For 5 people (3 appetizers, 5 main courses, 3 desserts, 6 drinks) we paid 200 euros, which is more than acceptable for us coming from Hamburg! If we're back in Munich in winter, we'll definitely go there again!

Highly recommended. We were only in Schliersee for two days, unfortunately, but we enjoyed delicious, hearty meals and Kaiserschmarrn once. Everything was absolutely delicious! We'd love to come back anytime. Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Top-notch!

The only drawback is the very poor acoustics in the interior spaces, therefore incredibly loud.

Very friendly service, great food at fair prices, and Oktoberfest beer as a seasonal beer—wonderful!

The food was very expensive. Cheese spaetzle was €20. The side salad was quite large, though.

We had a lovely few days at Schliersee and ate there three times. We're experts ourselves and have to say everything was perfect.

Game weeks: incredibly good! I chose venison loin for the main course and goat cheese for dessert. It went with the recommended red wine. A feast for the palate.

Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of German cuisine, but wow, this restaurant wowed me! The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a traditional Bavarian restaurant, and the service was incredibly friendly. We had the veal schnitzel with cranberry sauce on the first evening, and I don't usually like schnitzel; in my experience, they're always dry and lacking in flavor. But the schnitzel from the Ratskeller in a pretzel-parmesan breading was juicy and delicious, and the cranberries went perfectly with it. The fries and potato wedges served with it were also fresh and delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn was the last straw for me. I've never had such heavenly Kaiserschmarrn. It was so good that we simply had to come back the next evening. This time I tried the venison goulash with pretzel dumplings; again, a very good taste experience, especially the dumplings. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall I was still very satisfied—especially with another portion of the best Kaiserschmarrn. The Ratskeller made our visit much more enjoyable, and I hope I can return sometime.

If you spend 5 out of 6 evenings on vacation at the Ratskeller, that probably says it all 😊. It's a shame we ate somewhere else the first evening. Everything was just perfect. Delicious food, generous portions, great beer, fast and very friendly service, a beautiful beer garden, a great atmosphere, and, very important for me: no music outside. It was simply a wonderful evening all around. Thank you for that.

A very nice restaurant with a beautiful view and friendly staff, whether you're wearing swimwear or just arriving from the street, with plenty of space thanks to the large terrace and spacious interior. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, whether you're looking for coffee, cake, or just a portion of fries, every guest is treated with the same level of friendliness.

The food, while tasty, arrived so quickly that it's likely that it wasn't fresh but had been kept warm for a long time. The reaction to this was also noticeable at the neighboring tables. The meat in my partner's goulash, for example, was dry and tough. The ambiance, however, is truly lovely and quaint, as you'd expect from a Bavarian Ratskeller. We would come back, but only for a drink in the beer garden.

The place was packed when we went, yet the food and drinks were served with astonishing efficiency. Had a great-tasting spaghetti with chanterelle mushrooms from their seasonal menu.

The food and service were both excellent, although the black wooden ceiling made the place very dark. The service was attentive and friendly.

The Ratskeller is generally a lovely place with good food and mostly attentive service, even if the prices are way over the top. Please note: there's no children's menu. And that's the catch. If a child wants to eat with an adult, an additional plate costs €3. And if you'd prefer fried potatoes or potato salad instead of fries, you'll have to pay €1.50 just to change the side order. So, it's not a surcharge for a more expensive side dish, but purely for the administrative process. This is all stated somewhere on the menu, but it's obviously the completely wrong way to generate additional profit margins. It's a shame, really, but that's not how it works, dear Gercken family.

I had a wonderful time with my family in the Ratskeller beer garden. Delicious food, excellent drinks, and a beautiful ambiance, all complemented by a very friendly and witty waitress (Philipp)! I drank more beer than I had planned, absolutely wonderful...😊 Highly recommended!

A very good menu with something for every taste. Very tasty and also visually appealing. The prices are reasonable for the quality and not excessive, especially the drinks, which are not, as is often the case, overpriced. Highly recommended.
