Full marks in every respect. With such a wide selection of food and drinks, it's hard to choose – everything sounds fantastic, and it lives up to the promise. Very friendly, personalized service that caters to every need, and a comfortable yet tasteful ambiance perfectly complement the overall experience.

Good German cuisine. It's wonderful that such places still exist. Friendly service. And the food was absolutely delicious. It was our first time there, but we'll definitely be back.

We had delicious catfish and Lusatian gherkin. Very creatively presented, and the portions were absolutely generous. Thank you for the excellent meal. It's also beautifully located in the cross-vaulted ceiling of the historic town hall. Easily accessible in 5 minutes from the RV parking space through the cozy old town.

A fantastic restaurant—even though we arrived a little late (8:30 p.m.), the kitchen had no problem treating us to the best food. (Unlike some other restaurants that sent us away straight away.) The service was very friendly and competent; we felt very comfortable.

Stopped in today and was greeted warmly by an employee (a trainee) right at the entrance. He immediately pointed out the "extensive menu," as only a small sample was displayed at the entrance. Overall, a very good restaurant. The food was very tasty and a feast for the eyes. Simply perfect. This also applies to the table service, which was presumably provided by the manager and his wife, as well as the equally excellent trainee. Okay, it's not the "cheapest" restaurant in terms of price, but that's not what we're looking for. I highly recommend it to anyone who values good food and hospitality. On a Tuesday evening, the two of us received a very friendly welcome. The service was very attentive, and the food and drinks were delicious. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but anyone looking to think outside the box will still find this a great place. The Ratskeller in Luckau is definitely worth recommending.

I was there for ice cream with a diverse group of students, some of whom were foreign speakers, and a mother. The very friendly and cool waitress seemed to intuitively recognize the situation and handled it with great care and quick wit – impressive, for example, was her immediate recognition of the "pork gelatin" problem! Thank you very much; it was the perfect end to a pleasant stroll through Luckau.

First-class cuisine, both in terms of taste and appearance, combined with excellent service. Everything was perfect for our party of seven, from the appetizer to the dessert!

Great restaurant with regional cuisine

The food tasted really good, but the portions were far too small and the prices were hard to understand - even a simple nightcap costs €5. The waiters were friendly, but after a misunderstanding during the meal there was not even a small concession, which significantly spoiled the overall impression. The drinks menu was also incomplete: aperitifs like Aperol or Lillet were missing, but they suddenly appeared on the bill at surprisingly high prices. The ambience is special, but in the long run it tends to be cold and uncomfortable. Overall, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right here. We have been there a few times as a large family, but now we can no longer afford it. Too bad!

Four of us came. The Ratskeller sign is clearly visible from the outside, and then you go into the cellar. The interior view and furnishings correspond to what one would imagine from a Ratskeller. You will be welcomed by a very friendly lady and then served very competently. The price-performance ratio is absolutely OK. We all tasted the quality and freshness of the food. Whether it was a salad, a schnitzel, the tortellini or the “spicy dog” for dessert, we found everything extremely tasty. In this respect, praise to the kitchen, the service and the entire staff of the restaurant. The Ratskeller in Luckau is a place you can go to again and again.

The best restaurant with German cuisine I've been to in recent years. The food absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. The employees were totally attentive and super friendly. We have been coming to the Ratskeller for many years and have never been disappointed. The menu changes seasonally. The service is always courteous. I particularly like that attention is paid to regional ingredients. If you want to eat good and tasty food, you definitely have to go to the Ratkeller.

We were surprised at the size of the vault. The food was very tasty and the service was very accommodating. Recommendation met the taste exactly. The lighting was a little too bright for us and seemed cool. We would prefer more individual, warmer lighting at the table.

One of the best Ratskellers is hidden behind a rather indiscernible door. The decor is very atmospheric. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is very culinary. I have rarely eaten such tender meat as “Lausitzer Gurkenfleisch”. It practically melted in your mouth. Despite the top quality, the portion was filling. The price is absolutely justified for this delicacy. If you want to eat well in Luckau, you should go to Ratskeller! I will definitely dine there again next time I'm in Luckau.

Extremely friendly service without being intrusive. Very tasty food, high quality and prepared with a lot of sophistication. There were four of us and we had both vegetarian and meat dishes. Both were excellently prepared. The only minor drawback for a completely perfect evening: our table was next to the entrance to the toilets. But that was due to the full guest room and our lack of advance reservation.

Great local. Because of the great weather we sat on the terrace. Service was very attentive, she brought us a bowl of water for our dog without us having to ask. The meal was a delight for both the palate and the eyes. The beer came from a small local brewery and tasted very good. Absolutely reasonable prices. The interior (vaulted cellar) also had a great atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

Last week I had an appointment with my former colleagues at the Ratskeller in Luckau. I received a very friendly welcome. This extraordinary presence continued throughout the evening. Excellent restaurant in the otherwise somewhat dusty Luckau. Both in the kitchen and in service ***** experience that is also practiced. The calculations were extremely favorable and the local wine, of which we took two bottles with us, was sold at almost the purchase price. If there were 6* they would be appropriate here.

What can I say ?! It was simply incredibly tasty, I am a very difficult person when it comes to food, which is often a problem for myself. We were at the Ratskeller today on June 2nd, 24, 10 minutes before lunch break, we were still greeted very warmly and we were allowed to order food without any ifs and buts, the waitress was extremely friendly, very accommodating, and also recommended a few dishes to us straight away and always had a smile, the food was ordered and it didn't take long to arrive, it was absolutely delicious and that's from someone who ALWAYS wants to add more salt or something doesn't fit. I was really thrilled, the plate was beautifully prepared despite the fact that the people actually wanted to close... And the others also found their food absolutely delicious. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDATION from me for this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the restaurant thinks it's better than it is. We stopped by spontaneously and were initially greeted quite friendly. But then the waiting began. It was only after almost 10 minutes that the cards were handed out to us. Although the dining room wasn't nearly full, the three of us had to share two cards because, according to the waiter, there was a "shortage" of them. And then it took... Other guests arrived and were served; Orders taken. We remained unnoticed. After the family next to us was 'allowed' to place their order and the waiter didn't come to us again, we left (approx. 20 minutes). They didn't even bother to speak to us again. We probably weren't nice enough for the gentleman after our day in the country. Conclusion: Staff that apparently decide superficially who is worth serving. Salted prices. Overall a disappointment and not recommended at all.

We had a delicious meal here. The game dish with wild mushrooms and the Lausitz cucumber meat (braised for 30 hours) were pure taste explosions. The sauces are so wonderfully hearty and sophisticated and the meat melts in your mouth. The red cabbage was fruity, we simply loved it. The price/performance ratio is really very good! Be sure to keep it up! The service/ambience is right and the eye can also eat here! Big congratulations to everyone! We will come back in any case.

The beetroot chickpea balls with rolled barley, pointed cabbage and beetroot chutney were sensational. The hospitality is also very positive, all dishes were served at the same time and the staff is extremely friendly. The Ratskeller is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The price is reasonable and fair for the quality of the dishes.

High standards without any aloofness, a pretty perfect symbiosis of historical, very cultivated ambience, local reference and cosmopolitanism, down-to-earth and sophisticated cuisine and very good service. The carefully selected and processed products remain visible and tasteable in the calmly composed dishes; it is truly a pleasure. Vegetarians, even vegans, feel loved and taken into account, the kitchen is open to small improvisations based on customer requests. Prices are extremely okay for the level. Very nice!

It was our first time there and we were attracted by the good reviews and the interesting menu. We were not disappointed in any way: the service, food and ambience were great. The prices are of course a little higher but reasonable for what we got. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

We were invited there for a birthday and a vegan menu was specially ordered. After asking again whether it really had to be vegan, since some people don't take it that seriously, the food arrived. Cold, dry, not very seasoned and hardly any difference between starter and main course. Afterwards, there was no vegan option for dessert; without any specific warning, a menu consisting entirely of dairy products was placed in our seats. Really disappointing. The staff also makes fun of the fact that you want to eat vegan.

Very good cuisine, very inexpensive for the quality. The service is very attentive, but larger groups should register in advance. The lukewarm potato and cucumber salad is divine. Not too sour, not too salty and above all with linseed oil. The linseed oil comes from the area and tastes nutty, not fishy or bitter.
