Raj Mahal - Pinneberg in Pinneberg

After ordering online we had to wait over an hour for our food. The receipt said 20:04. We had dinner at 9:10 p.m. The distance according to Google Maps is 10 minutes. The food is no longer of the same quality as usual and we actually enjoyed eating it. After a phone call with the owner, there was unfortunately no effort to accommodate us as customers in any way. There are now 3 inedible, cold meals here and we've lost €40. I wouldn't recommend.

The raj Mahal is recommended, fast delivery and amazingly delicious food, definitely would like to eat again, the Indian curry is amazing Kind regards, Kunert

I was looking for a caterer (for the early evening) for my celebration with 20 - 23 people and decided on the Raj Mahal. A very good decision that I would make again at any time. I recommend with a clear conscience. The tasty food (about 8 times vegetarian and about 12 times with chicken) was praised by all guests. It was plentiful (not skimpy). The food was delivered on time in warming devices and set up in my kitchen. Very friendly, courteous staff. I complemented this meal with my own cakes in the afternoon. A super combination.

The food is really delicious. My husband actually orders a new dish every time (until he has finished everything) and has not been disappointed so far 😀 Delivery time is always around 30-40 minutes, but you can actually plan it very well if you know it in advance. The staff is always nice, both on the phone and the delivery people. We order regularly and happily.

I've ordered there several times and it wasn't always good but this time it was just disgusting, chicken korma which was really extremely sour and watery didn't look like korma but like soup. That was the last time, so if you serve something like that to your customers then you shouldn't be surprised if you have to close down at some point.

I ordered a Chicken Madras and was unfortunately very disappointed. Didn't taste good, more like old fat and generally stale. Disappointing tbh. But the naan bread was awesome

A real insider tip in downtown Pinneberg! The lamb curry was one of the best I've ever tasted. There is no music playing, which suited me perfectly. The service was also great -- I would love to come back!

We traveled by train from Neumünster on March 23rd, 2024 to do geocaching in Pinneberg and then eat here. The food was great and the beer was good too. The service was also okay, but we had to wait a long time until we could pay the bill. The atmosphere is cozy.

We recently ate there and it was great. The food (main course and naan bread) was freshly prepared and the service was also great. You feel like you're in good hands and you're often asked whether everything is okay, but not too often. Today we picked up food (Chicken Makhani and Chicken Korma) and we are completely convinced again, it is always super tasty and hot, even when you get home you have the feeling that it has come fresh from the kitchen. A big plus is that if you order mild it is really mild and not a bit spicy. The owner of the shop is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely continue to order food here in the future and also eat on site.

I tried Indian food for the first time about 22 years ago, thanks to 2 good Indian work colleagues 😀 I found it very unusual. Totally different from German or Russian cuisine, but also very refreshing and very tasty! And about 2 years ago, my husband and I ordered something online from Raj Mahal for the first time - we were thrilled, and are thrilled every time we order there! Good portions, very nice and friendly staff, and no matter what we have ordered so far - everything tasted great. Thank you, and keep it up!!!!!

We regularly order lunch to be delivered to the office. Sometimes the spiciness isn't quite right, the Garlic Naan unfortunately sometimes comes without any noticeable garlic, but that's complaining at a high level. The food is great, fresh and tasty, the delivery service is friendly and usually fast.

I have never eaten such good Indian food. This is the best traditional Indian food.

Haben zu viert heute Abend Essen bestellt. Lieferung ging super schnell (dafür einen Stern). Leider haben 3 von uns einfach ein anderes Gericht erhalten und nur eine Person hat das Gericht erhalten, dass sie auch bestellt hatte. Wir 3 hatten ein Special auf Lieferando „veganes Erdnuss-Curry mit Süsskartoffel“ bestellt und dann die Nummer 570 erhalten. Die Nummer stand auf unseren Liefer-Boxen. In der Karte haben wir dann auch noch mal kontrolliert, um was es sich bei der Nummer 570 handelt: ein „vegetarisches Curry mit verschiedenem Gemüse in Currysauce mit Obst, Cashew, Mandeln und indischen Käse“. Abgesehen davon, dass es sich bei unseren Gericht nicht mehr um ein veganes, sondern nur um ein vegetarisches Gericht handelt (bei uns jetzt akut kein Problem, aber es gibt auch Leute, die eine Allergie oder eine Unverträglichkeit haben). Geschmacklich war das Essen auf jeden Fall drei von fünf, aber wir haben halt leider nicht das Gericht bekommen, was wir bestellt hatten..

authentisch Indisch mega lecker!! Preise in Ordnung

Seit wir das erste Mal im Raj Mahal in Pinneberg zum Mittagstisch hier waren, kommen wir nun immer wieder her. Wir lieben das indische Essen und finden es hier immer sehr gut und schmackhaft. Und insbesondere beim Mittagstisch für 10 Euro ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis extrem gut. Allerdings sollte man nicht überrascht sein, wenn mittags nur wenige Gäste anwesend sind, was uns sehr wundert (allerdings läuft auch der Ausserhausverkauf). Wir kommen meistens zu viert. Bei den Speisen wählen wir immer mild und mittelscharf, wobei indisch-mild bereits eine Grundschärfe hat. Schön auch, dass man hinterm Haus immer einen Parkplatz findet, auch wenn der nicht speziell ausgeschildert ist. Im Juli 2023 haben wir uns krankheitsbedingt 2 Mittagessen nach Hause kommen lassen. Es kam heiß bei uns an und schmeckte deshalb genauso gut wie im Lokal.

Ich habe mehrfach bestellt und war immer begeistert. Super Reis und tolles Hähnchen & Sosse. Ich mag es scharf...das war es...auch für den europäischen Geschmack. Wer es lieber mild mag, kann das ja angeben. 🌶

Ich war heute nach mehreren Jahren mit einer Freundin im Raj Mahal in Pinneberg und wir waren begeistert. Das Essen war sehr lecker, ich finde es hat sogar an Qualität gewonnen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Ein toller Abend! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Leckeres & gut gewürztes Essen, sehr warmherziger Service und ein prima Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Im Sommer auch sehr schön mit Plätzen in der Fußgängerzone. Wir kommen bei jedem Pinneberg-Besuch aus der Schweiz hierher.

Ich habe für meinen Geburtstag für 20 Personen Essen in Buffetform bestellt. Gemischte Vorspeisen und zwei Chicken Gerichte. Die Vorbesprechung war super freundlich und es hat alles hervorragend geklappt. Es war sehr reichlich bemessen und ein Dessert wurde auch noch ausgegeben. Die Gästen waren sehr begeistert und es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Vielen Dank an das tolle Team!

Ich habe nach Hause bestellt. Ein Gericht wurde falsch geliefert. Die frittierten Beilagen waren weich, labberig und nicht lecker. Das Hähnchengericht war solala. Das Knoblauch Naan hat geschmeckt als hätte jemand Knoblauchpulver auf ein Fladenbrot gestreut. Ich habe mir mehr erhofft und werde nicht mehr bestellen. Für den Durchschnitt ohne indischen Gaumen scheint es zu reichen 🤨

Für gewöhnlich erwartet man in einem Restaurant alles mögliche. Hier erwartet euch der traditionelle Geschmack. Abgerundet, heilend und üppig. Kann sein, dass es scharf ist für Europäer. Aber ich kann das Essen empfehlen!

Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service. Auch für Veganer gibt es ausreichend Auswahl. Das Essen war sehr gut gewürzt und insgesamt sehr lecker.

Das Essen in diesem Restaurant ist ziemlich fantastisch. Das Naan, die Papadams und die Lassies sind mega gutes Beiwerk zum Hauptgang, doch leider ist der Service oft verwirrt und schickt dir teilweise das falsche Essen. Aber das ist okay, da sie ihre Fehler bisher immer berichtigt haben und man die falsche Bestellung teilweise behalten durfte.

Indisch in Pinneberg? Ja, das klappt tatsächlich! Das Restaurant ist spartanisch eingerichtet, was per se bei Indern nur auf die Reduktion auf das Wesentliche hinweist, nämlich das Essen. Und das war wirklich gut: Papadam frisch, leider dazu keine üblichen 3 Dips (Minzsauce, Mango Chutney, scharfe Chilisauce), da ist Platz nach oben! Chicken Madras: Wir bestellten Chicken Madras, südindisch scharf. So kam es auch. Zartes Fleisch in einer sehr geschmacksexplosiven Sauce. Es ist eine hohe Kunst, die unzähligen Gewürze indischer Küche zu einem schmackhaften Gericht zusammen zu mixen. Einiges muss geröstet werden, angebraten, frisch gemösert hinzugefügt, wer selber indisch kocht, weiß, das ist Arbeit! Fazit: 4 Sterne, für das leider in der Lage etwas untergehende Restaurant, die Bedienung war überaus freundlich und bemüht. Der anscheinende Schwerpunkt liegt auf Lieferbetrieb. Das ist eine Entscheidung der Inhaber, ich kann aber nur davor warnen, denn JEDES frische Essen leidet unter jeder Verpackung! Und das geht zu Lasten der Qualität. Wir waren live im Restaurant sehr zufrieden!

Situated just off the main shopping street this restaurant is the only place to get a curry locally and worth visiting. On a fine evening we sat outside and were served by a friendly Waiter. A good choice of meals and, unusually, Naan on the menu.
