We were there for the breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. The selection was large, everything was fresh and tasted good. Juices are included in the buffet price, hot drinks cost extra. The buffet was refilled in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly. I can't understand other people's complaints here. One star deducted anyway because the tables were cleared relatively slowly and no attention was paid to the fact that drinks were missing. But that was less due to the staff than to the fact that there were very few staff there for a Saturday morning. Only 3 waitresses for the entire café, the winter garden and the large outdoor terrace. The three of them couldn't keep up at all.

Extremely bad service. Zero stars, which unfortunately isn't possible. Some should probably look for another job that they enjoy more, or where they have nothing to do with guests or customers. In the R-Cafe it doesn't seem to be the customer who is king, but rather the waiter, at least that's what some people think. It's actually a shame, because the ambience is actually quite appealing.

You can get hamburgers elsewhere in the city for the same price, but the mince isn't frozen and minced yourself. The burger didn't taste good either. Price-performance is not right at all. As I was using the restroom, I saw an employee taking fries from a guest's plate as he was being carried out of the kitchen. Antisocial. Location great, rest unfortunately really flop.

Stopped to eat at the R-Café on a sunny day while riding my bike today. It's already the 3rd attempt and also the last! Unfortunately I cannot judge the service and the quality of the dishes on offer because…. no one comes to take an order. It can't be due to a lack of staff because the service staff are all hanging around the inside bar. So for the third time I got up without having accomplished anything and continued driving. It's not that we're impatient, because it's the same thing at all the neighboring tables: endless waiting for service. Unfortunately, the R-Café is ruining itself with the poor service.

Overall everything was fine, waiting time, food quality, cocktails, friendliness of the staff, ambience. The ambience on the canal and the new building around Das R-Café are particularly impressive. However, you get the same food here as in Café del Sol, probably from the same provider. But it's definitely worth a visit. 👍

The 0.75l bottle of seltzer for ~€8? That's not for me. If I had been alone, I would have set off again straight away. So I had to watch as my fellow travelers ate the small, carelessly prepared and served ready meals they had ordered. Apparently nothing is freshly prepared there.

A really great cafe. The food was also delicious and the service was great. You didn't have to wait long to be served. Everyone was hardworking and friendly. We'd love to come back :) keep it up

We were here for breakfast for the first time. The food was very tasty and we were completely impressed by the service. Today we were at R Cafe Hamm with 6 people and had pushed 2 tables together, which we were forbidden to do. After we finally found a seat for ourselves we placed our order. Milkshakes and ice cream are only available from 12 p.m. even though it is almost 30° outside. Red Bull is also sold out. No possibility to lodge a complaint with the manager or boss. The waitresses can't help it and have to listen to everything. I don't recommend it to my friends or acquaintances.

So the R Cafe in Hamm is not suitable for groups of 5 or more people. There are far too few options for more than 5 people to sit there. You are not allowed to push the tables together. You have to sit very far apart. You can't order milkshakes or ice cream before 12 p.m. even though it's almost 30° outside. After hearing a lot of good things about this place, I wanted to experience it myself. So I made a digital reservation without any problems, grabbed my owner the next day, drove there and got the last parking space (during the week at 12.30 p.m., mind you). We immediately noticed how loud it was inside, even though most people were seated on the terrace. After we had been running after the waiters (probably former hardware store employees) for a while to get a seat, the barman took pity and said, just sit in a free seat on the terrace, that's fine. Sitting down, we were probably no longer such a threat to the employees, as the drink order could be placed after a short time (lemon squash and passion fruit spritzer). While we waited for the drinks, we had plenty of time to study the many different menus and choose two dishes. Once the broccoli schnitzel in vegetarian and the vegetable lasagne. Drinks arrived soon and the order was placed. The lemon squash tasted like water with a hint of lemon, which was completely gone once the ice cubes melted. After about 10 minutes, the employee came and told us that the vegetarian version of the schnitzel was no longer available. So I ordered tagliatelle with salmon, spinach and tomato instead. After another 10 minutes the vegetable lasagna and the replacement dish came. The vegetable lasagna was served on a tasty plate and consisted of three slabs of pasta lying directly apart with tomato sauce and the vegetables simply placed on top. This wasn't over-baked, but it wasn't on the menu either. Overall, the portion was also very manageable. The tagliatelle was a few pasta in an indefinable sauce that was somewhat reminiscent of vanilla pudding without sugar, but with plenty of onions, with a touch of spinach and a decorative tomato. The salmon was smoked sliced ​​salmon (probably from the breakfast buffet), which lay in a lump on the plate and didn't match the taste of the dish. Both very small dishes were hidden under arugula. The price-performance ratio wasn't right here at all, it's lucky that we had vouchers for this experience, because we definitely won't be coming back for food that we would have to pay for ourselves. The only dessert offered was ice cream, which I no longer felt like eating after half a liter of water (labeled as lemon squash on the menu). Although the service was quick, it seemed lackluster and inappropriate. The cleanliness was okay, if you are able to overlook the leftover food under the tables In conclusion, one can say that it is very reminiscent of establishments like the Westend, Café der Sol or Extrablatt without music, but with loud acoustics and poorer food, which was further limited by the unavailability of individual components. We were at R-Cafe yesterday and both ordered broccoli schnitzel with hollandaise and fries. When the food came the hollandaise and broccoli was ice cold, then was warmed up when asked. The fries were way too hard and tasted like stale fat. We also had to wait a long time for payment. After eating at the R-Cafe you generally have a strange stomach (=hygiene equals 0).

The service and the atmosphere are good, but we waited almost an hour for our lukewarm food, the sauce for the pasta was nothing earth-shattering and my salad with yogurt dressing arrived without dressing... I also had a stalk. It's ok to sit comfortably and drink a wine, but unfortunately I've been disappointed several times with food and won't give it a chance in the future.

We were just in the R-Café in Hamm for the first time. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered pizza rolls and sweet potato fries and waited 45 minutes, unfortunately we ran out of time and had to leave without eating. A customer accidentally walked into a window and the staff didn't take care of it either. The service outside was unmotivated and you had to talk to the employees about everything. It was a great destination for us for a leisurely bike ride from Bergkamen, Marina Rünthe to Hamm and back. With a total distance of 35 km, this tour through nature reserves directly on the canal and partly along the Lippe is easy to drive. The restaurant is located directly on the canal, has a very nice environment and a modern ambience. The kitchen only gets 3 stars from me because my small vegetarian meal was good, but my husband's currywurst had obviously been on the grill for a long time and was pretty shriveled up. A pity. But it's ideal as a cycling destination because there's also a large, beautiful terrace outside.

PRICE/performance ratio doesn't fit. 17 euros breakfast buffet and drinks extra. 2 people just 50 euros away.

Picturesquely located next to a high school and right on the water. The view is a vacation for the soul. With the water feature right outside the door, the air stays pleasant even in warm weather. However, the service has a bit of a blinder on, you have to draw attention to yourself, which led to us leaving instead of ordering something else during our visit. The brunch buffet and the à la cart food are great, tasty and sufficient. See you next time.

I ordered a small mixed salad for €5.95. A tiny plate arrived with an unbelievable 1 1/2 cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and a bit of mixed salad. There were maybe 5 forks of salad. My friend had a salad with chicken for over 13 euros and this portion was more than unreasonable for the price. When the pink-haired waitress was asked about it, she replied bluntly that she wouldn't do the prices. Being friendly is different.

Leute, seid vorsichtig. Lasst euch unbedingt die Rechnung geben. Als ich heute mit einem Freund einen Kaffee, ein Wasser und einen Käsekuchen bestellt habe, kamen die Getränke ziemlich schnell. Als wir fast eine Stunde später die Getränke leer hatten, hatte ich den Käsekuchen immer noch nicht. Dann wollte ich bezahlen. Wenn wir nichts gesagt hätten, hätte ich den Käsekuchen mitbezahlt, obwohl er nicht gebracht wurde. Solche Dinge habe ich schon oft gehört, dass die Rechnung nicht stimmt und der Service schlecht ist.

We ordered sweet potatoes for 8 euros - half-baked and bitter and fried in old fat. It took a long time to get everything served and the place wasn't even full yet. The biggest disappointment...

We (1 group of about 20 people) all really enjoyed it. Now we (14 girls) have treated ourselves to drinks and dinner. Everyone was happy. With his friendly nature, Ruben managed to fulfill our special requests perfectly. Excellent!!

I left over €50 just for myself, you don't treat a customer like that! Short information about the parking situation: Better come by bike! The parking spaces are always completely overcrowded.
