Great vietnamese street food with a very authentic feel to it. We visited for lunch and as soon as we tasted the food, we decided to come back for lunch again the following day 🤩

Delicious Vietnamese food. The pho soups are especially recommended.

The two of us had a very good meal here; everything was delicious and fresh. The menu was short, well-organized, and clearly laid out, yet still offered plenty of choice. The service was fast and attentive.

The atmosphere is basic, but the food is delicious and affordable. If you like ethnic food, this is a must-try in Hamburg. The only downside, at least for me, is that, as always, oriental restaurants are too fast.

Vietnamese cuisine. The mango salad was great. Chicken soup was great too. The rice dish in the bowl looks like soup. We didn't think the summer rolls with duck strips were that great. The spring rolls were okay. You sit on bare wooden benches or wooden stools. The restaurant isn't very big, but it's very busy. It has a strong "kitchen" smell. All in all...we probably won't go back there.

The Quan Do at the main train station in Hamburg is a real recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in an authentic atmosphere. The restaurant offers a manageable but well thought-out menu with many freshly prepared dishes. The fried spring rolls were nice and crispy and were even made vegan if requested. A perfect appetizer! We were particularly impressed by the Mì xào Rau, fried wheat noodles with vegetables - aromatically seasoned and just the right portion. An insider tip: be sure to order the rolling pin with it, it rounds off the dish perfectly. From the weekly menu we tried the Bò xào sả ớt, a spicy chili-lemongrass beef with vegetables. The spiciness was pleasant, the meat was tender, and together with the fragrant rice it was a real taste experience. Finally there was a traditional Vietnamese dessert: banana and red beans in a sticky rice coating with coconut milk and peanuts - served warm, slightly sweet and wonderfully creamy. An ideal end to a great meal. We also drank the Cà phê Hanoi, Vietnamese coffee with sweet condensed milk - strong, sweet and perfect for coffee lovers. The atmosphere is modern but cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you will definitely find it here. We'd love to come back!

One of the best pho experiences I’ve had! Stopped by Quan Do near Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and was seriously impressed. I ordered the chicken pho, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had — rich broth, tender chicken, and super fresh herbs. The flavors were perfectly balanced and comforting. The place gets busy, but service is quick and efficient. If you’re near the station and craving authentic Vietnamese food, this is a must-visit!

I went to the one with lanterns first, then to this one. The soup was average, the one without lanterns was good. The main thing is the service was terrible. They asked for the bill 3 times before paying, and after paying, they didn't give me the change and insisted I should tip. I've never seen anyone who wanted money so badly. It was a bad feeling. They were dishonest.

Great value for money. The food is fresh and the beef is deliciously marinated. I'm a big fan of the extra jar of garlic/chili sauce on the tables, which adds a nice kick. You can tell from the spring rolls that they're not your average frozen food. Service was very fast. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes for our food (an advantage of the small menu, as everything is fresh and available in large quantities, allowing for quick service even with high volumes of customers).

Great food and service. I ordered a dish consisting of rice, lemongrass, chilli, beef, bamboo shoots and zucchini with probably a few other ingredients that I can't recall. Ofc I don't remember the name of the dish, that's why I described what it consisted of. The dish was perfectly spicy (spicy, but not in an overwhelming way), aromatic, served hot, with just right portion size (enough to be satisfied, not enough to feel like you overate), service was quick, nice and professional.

The food, although served lightning fast, was just as disappointing. It reminded me of the fried noodles from my childhood for €2.50, with the yumyum noodles for half the price. But am I going to pay the €10 surcharge for what? Yes, it's okay. And €4 is okay for a snack. But in a restaurant, I'd like half price or extras. Like cilantro, peanuts...

This place is popular, very busy. 10 minutes after opening and it's full. I love Viet food but I was a bit disappointed. Chicken in Mango salad was dry and not particularly flavourful. Spring rolls were just ok, came with sweet chilli and not fish sauce. Pho was just a pass felt soup lacked depth. Coffee was good but mango coconut shake was lacking too. I had high hopes from the reviews but just didn't live up to expectations for me. The building is lovely though

Had a very tasty lunch here. They have a decent amount of outdoor seatings, which are not that comfortable but that is expected of this type of restaurant. Bun was very good but the star of the show were the spring rolls. Had to order an extra portion of these after they just straight up disappeared within a few minutes.

Many years ago, I regularly came here whenever I was in Hamburg – a few years later, I was still enthusiastic in 2025. The place is still buzzing today, and rightly so: just before opening at lunchtime, all the outdoor seating was taken, offering delicious daily specials as well as the well-known classics. The team has also come up with some great ideas for the drinks. The taste and quality were once again super delicious, fresh, and authentic. For me, it remains the best Vietnamese restaurant in Hamburg and far beyond.

Insider tip in downtown Hamburg A tiny restaurant that could easily be overlooked, but that's precisely what makes it a real insider tip. Despite the small space, nothing feels crowded, and above all, the service is impressive: attentive, fast, and extremely friendly. The cuisine is a true surprise. Every dish was a delight, superbly seasoned and prepared with love. The sauces, in particular, deserve praise. They harmonize perfectly with the dishes and round off everything. Cleanliness and maintenance are also impeccable: tables, cutlery, and dishes were impeccable. The ambience is simple and straightforward, but pleasant. You immediately feel at home. The price-performance ratio is very good. In conclusion: If you want to eat delicious food in downtown Hamburg and value good service, you should definitely try this little shop.

Great Asian food. Service was fantastic, with appetizers served within 5 minutes of ordering.

The staff was friendly and the basic rice noodles were delicious. However, the portions were really, really small. I slurped down the noodles in three minutes and ordered a bowl of rice to finish it all, and I was full.

The young employee in the red dress ignored us, preferring to gossip, and didn't come to take our order, leaving it to someone else to do it. The beef pho arrived shortly after, but the noodles were clumped together, with chili flakes and chili oil floating on top. This was a hygiene disaster, as we had ordered a clear broth. Although the restaurant was considered an insider tip, I would personally prefer to eat elsewhere. It's a shame the food was not as good as it seems. I grew up eating Asian cuisines and I just spent 2 months in SE Asia. My Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) was on point; the broth was well flavored and the portion was perfect. This place serves some of the most popular Vietnamese dishes, I'm sure you'll find something on their menu.

Wir saßen draußen am schmalen Gehweg auf einfachen, typischen Hockern. Bedienung sehr freundlich und kompetent. Essen war sehr gut, gute Auswahl. Getränkepreise auch ok.

Wir waren seit der Neueröffnung im April erstmalig wieder im Quan Do und was soll ich sagen … bereits der 1. Eindruck war nicht sehr einladend. Früher hingen traditionelle Lampen an der Decke, die Tische und Stühle waren aus Holz, das Interieur einladend. Nun kommt man in einen kalten Raum ohne Flair, der an Kantine bzw. Bahnhofsatmosphäre erinnert. Wir saßen draußen auf klapprigen, kalten Stühlen, dreckigen Tischen und auch die Menükarte war aus Plastik. Das Plastik zog sich wie ein roter Faden durch den Abend: Plastik - Suppenteller, Plastik - Besteckkorb etc. siehe Bilder. Aber die Krönung war der Grauburgunder! Leute bitte bestellt keinen Grauburgunder!!!! Der kommunikative Kellner versuchte mir bei Bestellung noch den Rosé schmackhaft zu machen - hätte ich das mal lieber gemacht! Das Essen war ok, wenn auch lauwarm. Alles in allem leider keine Empfehlung. Nach 1,5 Jahren Umbau hätte ich mehr erwartet.

Disfrutamos de unos ricos tazones de Pho Tai y fideos cuando visitamos. El personal del restaurante habla con fluidez inglés, vietnamita y alemán. El restaurante tenía muchos asientos en el interior cuando lo visitamos y el servicio fue rápido. Está ubicado dentro de una antigua casa de farmacia que tiene un diseño italiano. Aparcamos cerca en un parking y exploramos el centro de la ciudad después de un buen almuerzo aquí. El restaurante aceptaba mascotas y se permitía la entrada de perros.

Excellent food, service, toilets, everything. Perfect for a stopover lunch in Hamburg. Does takeaway too.

We ordered a Pho Bo, but it was too salty and tasteless, missing mungbean sprouts and jasmin basils, and with the beef overcooked.

Directly across from Hamburg Central Station, Quan Do is a Vietnamese restaurant that's not only authentic but also incredibly delicious. The chicken pho I ordered was a real highlight: very rich, wonderfully aromatic, and served in such a generous portion that I was plump and happy afterward! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the meat tender, and the broth intense—exactly what you'd expect from Vietnamese pho. The fast, friendly service rounded off the culinary experience.

Me and my friend were here yesterday and can definitely recommend Quán Đỏ! Due to its location, it is of course very easy to reach on foot from the main train station. The decor is simple but charming. We once ordered a small portion of Phở Bò (in the Nordic style, Hà Nội style), a Bún Chả and Bún Đậu. The food was really, really tasty. Authentic (comes from a North Vietnamese woman) and super aromatic. Of course, it's also great that Phở is offered as a small portion. So you can still try the other dishes. On the table there is still very hot Sriracha (the one with the red cap) and the wonderful Tỏi ngâm Giấm (garlic vinegar) for seasoning. The latter is really incredibly tasty and aromatic. The menu is simple and clear, the food is cheap and tasty. There are indoor and outdoor seating and the service is friendly and approachable. You can pay both in cash and by card. So the Quán Đỏ is almost perfect – except for two or three little things. First, I ordered a Nước Chanh Đá (listed as Đá Chanh on the menu). It was actually just water with a lot of ice and a few pieces of lime in it, so hardly sweet, hardly any taste and hardly any content. For €4.20, water is definitely too expensive. I would also have liked a slightly larger selection of Vietnamese/Asian drinks. As a final point, I would have liked a larger selection of Vietnamese desserts. Unfortunately there was only one dessert and a Vietnamese lemonade to choose from, so it looks a little poor. In the future, different Chè variations would of course be a hit. 🤩 Unfortunately there are no pictures as everything was devoured too quickly. Come here and try it out!

Bewertung für das Restaurant in Winterhude (Gertigstrasse): Gestern waren wir im Lange geschlossenen Quan Yo in Winterhude. Das Quan Do war lange unser Lieblings – Vietnamese, wenn wir einfaches, schnelles und gutes Essen für ein ausgezeichnetes Preis – Leistungsverhältnis haben wollten. öfter auch take away. Jetzt gibt es das Quan Do wieder, mit reduzierter Speisekarte in einem so genannten soft – Opening. Was immer das auf Deutsch heißen würde. Meine Frau hatte eine Pho Suppe mit Tofu und Pilzen. ich ein pochiertes Hähnchen mit Reis und Gemüse Topping. Beides geschmackvoll und gut. Meine Portion war allerdings eher klein, fast Vorspeisenformat. Habe das auch im Restaurant kund getan, beim sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service. Gar nicht geht die Preisgestaltung beim Wein: für einen allenfalls (wenn überhaupt) durchschnittlichen Grauburgunder wurden 8 Euro für das 0,15l Glas genommen (für die mittlerweile leider nicht mehr normale Glasgröße von 0,2 würde das einen Preis von über 10 Euro bedeuten). Das geht gar nicht. Plus ein 0,5l Bier und Trinkgeld haben wir 52 € bezahlt. Das ist für das gebotene und im Vergleich zum alten Quan Do mehr als eine ambitionierte Preisgestaltung. Bin mal gespannt, ob sich damit der Erfolg einstellt. Wir werden das noch ein bis zweimal testen und dann gucken, ob wir dabei bleiben oder uns einen anderen Vietnamesen suchen.

My favorite gluten-free address in Hamburg! I was here for the first time two years ago - since then Quan Do has been my constant stop when I'm traveling in Hamburg. The location right next to the main train station is perfect, the food is delicious, the price is really fair - and above all: I always feel safe here. I have celiac disease and have probably eaten here 30 times - and I felt great every single time. Almost every dish on the menu can be made gluten-free. If desired, there is even gluten-free soy sauce for seasoning. My favorite: No. 12 – gluten-free and vegetarian (i.e. with adapted sauce and without fried onions).

The service was super friendly and fast, the food was fantastic as always, and there was a nice selection of homemade lemonades. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Hamburg! I recommend the pork bun.

Mein Besuch war mittags, das Lokal war bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt, die bestellten Speisen kamen zügig. Der Service war zwar nicht unfreundlich, jedoch für mich etwas zu sachlich und emotionslos. Ich hatte Frühlingsrollen und gebratene Nudeln. Beide Gerichte waren ordentlich zubereitet, jedoch ohne die typisch asiatischen Würz- oder Kräuternoten. Für meinen Gaumen, somit etwas zu sehr eingedeutscht.

As a Vietnamese person, I felt right at home in this restaurant - the ambience has a special charm, even if it is not a high-end location. We had duck with rice and noodles with beef. The noodles with beef were honestly the best I've tried so far in Hamburg! When it came to choosing between duck and pho, I had a hard time deciding, but I ultimately chose the duck. Although it was tasty, it wasn't quite what I expected as I was thinking roast duck. Still: I'll definitely be back - the pho looked incredibly good at the other tables. Can't wait to try these out!

The place is usually fully booked in the evening, however the queue moves fast. People are friendly, properly speak English and provide all the info we ask for. Pho soup and noodles with beef/duck were super delicious. We waited for less than 15 min for food to arrive while every table was fully booked. You have diary free, gluten free and vegan options. Possible to pay by card over €15 bill.
