An excellent bar that offers very creative cocktails. You could tell that the bartender who prepared the drinks worked with great passion and had a lot of knowledge about how to combine flavors that at first glance didn't go together for Leien. It was fun to watch him work. My absolute favorite was a pepper crust cocktail, it was a flavor explosion!

The food was great and so was the staff. Although we reserved a table inside, the staff accommodated our request to move to the terrace. Because of the rain we had to move back in later and that was easily managed with two seats at the bar. It's a bit of a shame that the shop and the tables are so small, but that's certainly a question of concept and taste. We were there for more than 2 hours and, contrary to many reports here, we didn't feel rushed or processed quickly.

Eine absolute kulinarische Entdeckungsreise. Wir hatten uns für die Menü-Variante Medium entschieden. Vorweg zwei grandiose Cocktails, welche ihresgleichen in Köln suchen. Sitzplätze direkt an der Bar. Besser geht nicht. Tipp: unbedingt den Espresso Martini zum Abschluss nicht entgehen lassen. Das ganze Team ist authentisch, hoch professionell und man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Wir danken herzlich für die wunderbaren Stunden!

Booked shortly beforehand online, very easy Outstanding friendly staff, giving lots of explanations to the different courses, Bartender with great taste mixing even non alcoholic beverages befitting the course, big plus. All in all, not the cheapest place, but you definitely get your money's worth. Can only recommend, will definitely be back!

We were sat in front of the cash register in the corner. We had no privacy. When the telephone rang, the staff discussed the reservation directly in front of us . Conversations between the waiters took place were directly around d the cash register . For the other few that we paid , we expected a little more consideration with regards to have if a conversation perhaps away from ear shot,. Perhaps taking the telephone call in another area . This was our wedding anniversary and we felt like we had no privacy at all.

A bit small, but food was delicious and well designed . The cauliflower was slightly on the salty side, but still yummy. Appreciate that the plates were heated hot before putting the food on, and served hot .

Cooles Restaurant mit sehr spannenden Gerichten. Der Koch hat tolle Ideen, die auf die Teller gezaubert werden. Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ruhig wird den Gästen die Karte und das Prozedere erklärt. Wein kann pro Glas und Flasche konsumiert werden. Die Lage ist sehr zentral in der Innenstadt, nahe dem Heumarkt. Dieses Lokal kann ich mit gutem Geweissen weiter empfehlen.

Gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, angenehme Atmosphäre. Zwei Bemerkungen: die Vorspeise kam richtig schnell, da könnte mann etwas mehr Zeit geben. Und die Weinkarte könnte etwas breiter ausgelegt werden mit Deutschen Weinen (weiss und rot).

We really had a very special evening in Pulse. The restaurant offers an exclusive selection of food and drinks. We decided on a variant with dessert and cocktails. It was all super delicious. If you're looking for exceptional cocktails, Puls is the right place for you. The dessert was incredibly delicious and very lovingly decorated. The service was also convincing. We received a very friendly welcome and advice. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

2,25 Stunden ist zu wenig für ein Chef Menü. Wir sollten ganz schnell essen und hatten keine Zeit zum Unterhalten und um das Essen zu geniessen. Also es lohnt sich gar nicht. Wir kommen nicht mehr wider und würden es auch niemandem empfehlen. Es gibt so viele Restaurants, wo das Essen nicht wie ein Kunstwerk aussieht, aber nicht weniger lecker ist und auch nicht viel weniger kostet. Und dadurch bekommt man mehr positive Emotionen. Unser Besuch war eine große Enttäuschung.

Das Puls ist eine lustige Mischung aus Bar und Restaurant (sehr wenige klassische Tische, dafür viele Hochtische und Plätze an der Bar mit zusätzlich einigen 2er Tischen im Außenbereich). Daher sind viele Barsnacks und auch Gerichte zum Teilen im Angebot. Und an den Gerichten, wir hatten das große Überraschungsmenü, war auch wirklich wenig auszusetzen . Das war wirklich gutes Niveau aber auch ganz klar, wir sprechen hier vom Zweitrestaurant des Ox und Klee, kein Sterneniveau. Vorneweg gab es das „Maggi-Ei“ des Ox und Klee, Arancini, ein klassisches Tartar und marinierter Lachs. Alles sehr lecker. Danach wurde es aber etwas schwierig, da sowohl der deutsche Spargel , der Pulpa mit ChorizoI, die Carbonara aber auch das Hanging Tender und der Heilbutt als Platten zu Teilen kamen. Was davon jetzt Vorspeise, Zwischengang oder Hauptgericht war, konnte ich weder von der Größe der Portionen, noch von der zeitlichen Reihenfolge der Speisen, die teilweise nicht mit der in der Karte genannten Reihung übereinstimmte, nachvollziehen. Das muss nicht schlimm sein, was aber gar nicht gelungen war, das die Portionen nur sehr schwierig auf vier Portionen zu verteilen war und aus meiner Sicht dafür zu klein waren. Da hätte ich mir manchmal weniger Speisen, dafür mit etwas mehr „Masse“ gewünscht. Für ein Restaurant, das sich dem Plattenkonzept „verschrieben“ hat, recht ungewöhnlich. Die zwei Nachtische und der zu stark getrüffelte Käse, fand ich von allen Gängen am wenigstens interessant. Da war die Praline am Ende das Highlight. Alles in allem ein sehr netter Abend, würde aber dringend vom Menü abraten.

Wir waren zu viert und haben à la carte gegessen. Toll war der Spargel und die Carbonara Nudeln, exzellent der Pulpo. Bei den Hauptgericht (Heilbutt, einmal vegetarisch, Zucchini, Rippchen) gab es nichts auszusetzen, tolle Produkte, sehr aromatische Saucen und jedes Mal auch ein Kunstwerk auf dem Teller. Am Nachbartisch wurde das Menue (Chefs Choice) aufgetragen - sah auch sehr gut aus. Wir kommen wieder und können es nur empfehlen.

This is an exceptional place to eat and drink. The detailed flavours of everything on the menu makes this a special experience. We loved everything we ordered, and, there is nothing on the menu you could attempt making at home which is the whole point of a great restaurant. The service was lovely, fun and friendly. All the staff had great knowledge of what they were presenting. Finally, there’s an amazing cocktail list, drinks were beautifully made in beautiful glassware.

We had the vegetarian menu medium, which was delicious, but apart from the Maggi egg, unfortunately nothing was particularly sophisticated or imaginative so that it was an experience like star cuisine. Given the price and the origins of the Ox&Klee chef, we expected that a bit. Overall, the experience was actually quite stressful, as the dishes and courses were brought out at extremely short intervals or at the same time. For me, an upscale menu also means that you have time to discover and enjoy the individual dishes. Unfortunately that wasn't the case here. We felt pretty rushed through the evening. But the service was very nice and accommodating.

Big cinema! Anyone who is lucky enough to discover this gem will be in for a treat, we were thrilled. Following a tip, we went yesterday without a reservation and were curious. The service was excellent from the first minute, warm and the food was a dream and topped all of our numerous dinners in the city. An absolute recommendation. Gourmet cuisine that we plan to enjoy again very soon. Thank you.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam zügig, sodass man nicht lange warten musste. Wir hatten uns für das Chef‘s Choice large entschieden, was ich auf keinen Fall bereue, da man so von vielen der Gerichte etwas hatte und Sachen probierte, die ich mir persönlich so nicht bestellt hätte. So waren zwar auch Sachen dabei, die mir persönlich nicht geschmeckt haben, aber sowas ist immer Ansichtssache. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung und wir kommen gerne wieder!

We stayed at the hotel - and ate at Puls on the first night. It was so good, we went back on the second night too (and couldn’t go the other nights as it was shut!). This is the sister restaurant of the 2 Michelin star restaurant Ox and Klee - but is a much more relaxed feel. But gives an idea of the type of food. We’re vegetarians, and went with the recommendation of having the set menu the first night (basically, dishes off the main menu - but brought out as the chef saw fit). Sharing plate concept. Simply amazing food - although we had to decline the last course as had no room left. The next night we went back and had the other dishes. Great cocktails too and very friendly staff. Fully recommend!

One of the best food experiences we had throughout Germany! Had the Chefs Choice and loved every dish. Imaginative, creative with an array of wonderful flavors. The wait staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Lovely meal in a compact but cool setting. Food was tasty and well thought through. We had the medium chefs surprise which was enough for us. Wine pairing was great and given by the glass as you go. Always nice to sit and eat and have a team of people who care about their offering and look after you.

A very chic restaurant, extremely tasty and unusual menu which is definitely recommended. Unfortunately we had to wait outside for the table for almost 20 minutes (we made a reservation for 8 p.m.). We would also have liked fresh cutlery and crockery between courses - therefore minus 1 star in the price category.

Wirklich tolles, außergewöhnlich gutes Essen und eine hervorragende Cocktail-Auswahl. Insgesamt ein Erlebnis an welches man sich lange erinnern wird.

Le restaurant est à côté de la mairie, avec vue sur les statues. L'ambiance est tamisée et le service assez rapide. Il y a deux services le soir donc il ne faut pas traîner! Le menu dégustation était original, et tout était bien sauf le plat de chou-fleur qui était trop salé. Les cocktails étaient bons mais vraiment petits et avec trop de glaçons. La salle est petite et il faut réserver à l'avance.

Die Speisen waren so liebevoll zusammengestellt. Das war schon mal eine Freude. Der Service allerdings hat das Erlebnis erst richtig abgerundet. Unglaublich freundlich, unkompliziert und zugewandt waren alle, die uns am Tisch bedient haben. Großartig. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt.

No response to the following email, an indictment that this bistro conveys. Four of us had dinner at Pvls on Saturday. We started the evening with the best expectations, but were unfortunately disappointed. When making the reservation we were informed that the table was reserved for us for 2 hours. It's understandable that you want to work as economically as possible. What really pissed me off was that we were explicitly advised against the large menu, otherwise the kitchen would have to send non-stop and we wouldn't have a break between courses. Why do you design a menu that half of the guests can't eat that night? So we decided on the medium menu. As soon as the cocktail was on the table, the first course was served. I think you don't have to let the guest feel that we have to hurry up. The starters were all very tasty and the fact that we had to eat from the same plates was perfectly fine because everyone got a ball, a lettuce leaf with tartare or the Maggi egg. What annoyed me more and more was that towards the main course it became more and more absurd that you had to share the food. The four of us then had to share the wonderfully prepared plates with individual dollops of sauce, various creams, flowers and leaves. So we went into these works of art with our spoons and forks and slapped some mud onto our plates, which for me no longer had anything to do with enjoyable fine dining, but rather with a tapas restaurant. It can't be the idea that such lovingly designed plates are destroyed by the guest and you are left with a single lump of something. When I'm eating fine dining, I want to have the experience right in front of me and decide whether I'd rather try this dab or that cream, or combine a cream with another element. That then culminated in the dessert, one of which only had 3 pear wedges for 4 guests and a "cream puff" that looked beautiful but how are you supposed to divide it into four tasty parts? The fact that the food ended up on my plate was one thing, but the second thing is that I also felt a touch of food envy, as some of the dishes simply couldn't be fairly divided into four. For the price of this menu, I ultimately found the concept a joke and was very annoyed about it. I also communicated this to your service staff, who only left with a “we’ll discuss this as a team”. She didn't give me the feeling that my criticism was taken seriously. You can of course now point out that it is a "sharing menu" and the menu also states that the courses are shared. Yes, that's correct, but I didn't consciously read this little note beforehand and had no idea how you would mess up the menu like that. I saw that the a la carte dishes were offered as "single" or "to share", which I generally think is a really good idea because I like to share my plates, but usually with my partner. where we simply switch plates when we want to try each other's dish. What was completely unclear to me was that the menu was offered with the same sharing concept. However, when it comes to the menu, I don't have the choice whether I want to share it or opt for the "single" version. I would have liked the service to explicitly point out to us again that the menu would have to be shared between four people, then we would have opted for the a la carte option. At ten to eight you were then asked to pay so that the place would be free for the next guests. That was a really unpleasant experience that even the really nice and attentive service and the really delicious food couldn't make up for it. It's a shame, this concept doesn't work for us.

Great place. A bit of a bar/lounge ambiance. Food was great tasting and very creative. Service was good. In the beginning we were told we had to be out after 2h - which put a bit of pressure on us to order quickly. Turned out that we got more time after all to also enjoy a dessert.

10/10 - Service, every single employee is warm and courteous. 10/10 - Food, a pleasure for the senses. 10/10 - Space, I have rarely seen such a small restaurant that has such good cuisine. 10/10 - Sina makes the best cocktails if you want a twist on the menu. I'll be back! 😊

A cult location near the town hall tower. Very small, i.e. few tables. You have to make a reservation, otherwise there's no chance of getting a seat in the evening. The food is delicious, the wine list is clear.

Es war unser erster Besuch im PVLS. Super Location im Herzen von Köln. Service Top, Essen sehr kreativ und außergewöhnlich gut. Absolut Empfehlenswert. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Puls und kamen 15 Min vor der reservierten Zeit, das sehr kleine Restaurant war voll, es war eng, relativ laut und geschäftig. Unser Tisch war noch nicht frei, so dass uns vorgeschlagen wurde, zunächst einen Drink draußen oder auf dem Rooftop einzunehmen. Bestellung und Zubereitung dauerten gut 10 Min, während denen wir mangels Ausweichfläche zu viert zwischen Theke, Eingangstür und vorbeilaufenden Bedienungen auf die Drinks warten mussten (draußen war es kühl und regnerisch, auf dem Rooftop wird nicht bedient). Die Jacken wurden uns nicht abgenommen, auf Nachfrage erfuhren wir, wo die Garderobe ist. Es werden „Single“ und „To Share“ Portionen angeboten (größere/doppelte Portion, die man sich zu zweit teilen kann). Das Konzept ist gut und reduziert den Preis pro Person. Es brauchte aber mehrfache Versuche, bis die Bedienung verstand, dass wir zu viert zwei Mal „To Share“ bestellen wollten - bedenkenlos und wie selbstverständlich wollte man uns hartnäckig vier „To Share“ Portionen bringen. Die Cocktails haben die Qualität einer guten Bar und haben uns sehr gut gefallen, die Gerichte waren hochwertig. Nur das getoastete Knoblauchbrot als Entrée war zum Essen mit Messer und Gabel zu dick/kross, und zum Essen mit den Fingern definitiv zu fettig. Wir gingen mit gemischten Gefühlen. Die Atmosphäre war die einer kleinen, engen, vollen Bar, nicht die eines Restaurants mit à la Carte Preisen im unteren Bereich der Sternegastronomie. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis empfanden wir daher trotz der sehr guten Qualität des Essens als zu hoch. Am Ende gab es ein Glas Sekt auf‘s Haus - womöglich für den etwas holprigen Start? Es wurde uns nicht gesagt. Weiterempfehlung mit Einschränkungen.

We didn't have a cocktail beforehand, which I later regretted...as we had an aperitif elsewhere at 7 p.m. to set the mood for the evening, which started at 8 p.m. I already knew that something good was being served, but my expectations were exceeded. That was really great. We had the mid-size menu and the three of us were served a lot of food. I had the feeling I had the XL menu :-)The service spoiled us very much with lots of delicacies right up to dessert and it was a very successful evening that we enjoyed very much. We ate for 3.5 hours and talked a lot. The selected wines were also top notch. It was definitely one of my best restaurant visits in Cologne. But if you need white tablecloths and waiters with bow ties, this is not the place for you. The team is young. Everything is more relaxed here but the quality is higher and all the employees are very motivated to offer the guests something great. Thank you for the lovely evening at Puls.

A great symbiosis, the Hotel Legend which definitely convinced me and on top of that the Puls Restaurant. The food was exquisite and the staff was extremely attentive, professional and authentic. The cocktails are also very convincing. I haven't had such a gourmet flash in a long time ;)

I am so glad that I found PVLS on my trip to Cologne. You really don't want to miss this one, and as traveling alone, I sat at the BAR and had a delightful dinner. Bar seating is less common in Europe for some reason, so this also was nice to find!

Es ist immer wieder ein Vergnügen und das ohne Einschränkungen. Beim Essen bleiben die vertrauten Gerichte auf der Karte (ohne Maggie-Ei möchten wir gar nicht starten) und trotzdem finden wir immer wieder etwas Neues. Das Personal ist aufmerksam, charmant, nett, lässig oder einfach professionell. Ich hatte trotz der tollen Wein- und Cocktailkarte keine Sorgen in der Fastenzeit (verzichte auf Alkohol) hin zu gehen, weil es auch spannende alkoholfreie Drinks gibt. Wenn man unbedingt meckern will: die Hocker sind einen Tick zu niedrig für die Bar oder die Bar ist einen Tick zu hoch für die Hocker und kleine Haken für die Handtasche würden es abrunden. Ich freue mich schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend mit dem Chefs Choice Large. Das Signature Dish Maggi Ei ist ein Gedicht, ebenso die neu interpretierten Carbonara. Perfekt abgestimmte Drinks, besonders wenn man direkt an der Theke sitzt. Einziger Kritikpunkt auf hohem Niveau: Das Maisbrot, das zum Amouse gereicht wird, sollte etwas dünner schnitten sein. Da es glücklicherweise sehr knusprig ist, ist es schwer abzubeißen und zu essen. Aber trotzdem lecker ! Service ist perfekt, locker, freundlich, aber stets gastorientiert.

Im modern puristischem Ambiente kommen die liebevoll angerichteten Speisen voll zur Geltung. Der Geschmack ist exzellent und die Zusammenstellung erfrischend innovativ. Beautiful restaurant in the Hotel Legend with a young, very motivated team and great service. The food (surprise menu) was presented to us at the highest level. Great flavor combinations, great wines with the food and just a very pleasant atmosphere! We were definitely not there for the last time.

We had a perfect evening all around👌🏻The food was excellent, service was great (very attentive and very relaxed at the same time). We had the large menu and were more than full at the end, we enjoyed every course. Unfortunately, there is currently no wine accompaniment to the menu, but instead we were recommended the right wine for each course. After dinner we had excellent cocktails. It's also worth coming here just for that.

Silvester Menü. Einfach Genial was Johannes Langenstück und das gesamte Team zelebriert haben. Absolutes Geschmackserlebnis. Sterneküche vom Feinsten. Und der Küchenchef ist so bescheiden. Wir werden uns bestimmt wiedersehen. Danke sagen die Strosäcke. 👍👍👍

Wow. Absoluter Hammer! Die hohen Erwartungen wurden weit übertroffen. Das Essen war absolute Spitzenklasse und trotzdem ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack oder eitles Gehabe. Der Service war perfekt ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Kommen wieder!

Es war ein rundum schöner Abend. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist sehr persönlich und unglaublich angenehm, die kredenzten Speisen köstlich. Ich finde das ganze Konzept insgesamt sehr gelungen👌🏼.

Das war mein erster aber sicher nicht der letzte Abend im Puls. Wir haben fantastisch gegessen, tolle Cocktails probiert und der freundliche Service hat den Abend abgerundet. Definitiv eine Empfehlung

Seit Eröffnung der absolute Lieblingsort mit gleichbleibender Qualität und tollem Service. Gestern hatte ich meine Freundinnen überredet für unser Weihnachtstreffen. Sie waren alle sehr begeistert.

Hallo Team Puls, wir wollen uns bedanken für einen sehr gelungenen Abend in eurem schönen Restaurant. Das Personal war sehr professionell und super nett. Essen & Getränke einfach spitze. Perfekt abgestimmt, 1a angerichtet und die Auswahl einfach erstklassig! Der leckere selbst gemachte Glühwein auf der Dachterrasse mit bestem Dom- und Rathaus-Blick war das perfekte Finale. Das Serviceteam im Pvls ist sehr gut aufeinander eingespielt und ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat uns an nichts gemangelt. Das Restaurant können wir auf jeden Fall emfehlen, sei es für Kleinigkeiten an der Theke oder auch ein großes Menü - alles perfekt und auf den Punkt zubereitet.

Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut. Gerne wieder !!

This was our second visit, and did not disappoint. A brilliant meal at the counter, from cocktail to dessert. We had a tasting menu, with a sequence of interesting, inventive, tasty, items. You really should go.

Great staff and food. We sat at the bar and Sebastian was very helpful with food and drink pairings!
