Very nice staff and the food is very varied

First of all: Yesterday this review was mistakenly attributed to the Kostabr of the FH Dortmund student union, but here it is correct, even though Primus is no longer the current tenant, but Kostbar-Cafe Not long ago there was a change of tenant in the AOK Nordwest canteens. Now the precious is working there. The new tenant started with a very tasty, good meal at reasonable prices. We, as external guests, enjoyed coming to eat during the lunch break. In particular, Thursday with schnitzel and fries was taken over again. But then prices went up, okay, inflation, because we can…. But in the second stage the quality is reduced significantly. Yesterday there was a crispy chicken burger with fries without any price information, at the checkout I found out the price was 13 euros (including external surcharge). Today it was a small, burnt schnitzel with fries and a “mushroom sauce” that consisted primarily of water with a thickener (xanthan gum?) and a few canned mushrooms for 9.50. There was also the “side salad” from the buffet, which (Bavarian) was very tasty. Even the salad dressing was no longer available. If this were to be an experiment to see how far you can drag guests along with ever higher prices and ever poorer quality: Today the limit has definitely been reached; I will no longer bother the canteen with my credit card. Since the change of operator at the beginning of 2024, the quality of the food has suffered greatly. The price/performance ratio is no longer right for many dishes. Unfortunately, this is no longer an option for me personally.

It was really great when it was still Prime. Since the kost.bar took over there, the taste has deteriorated dramatically, the portions are not filling and the prices have risen significantly. For example: €13 for pasta with three/four pieces of cheap cooked ham and some white asparagus. The whole thing is available in one portion size, of which you would actually need two to get full. It's a shame, just a shame!

You can enjoy very good food here at affordable prices in a great atmosphere. As a passionate hobby cook, I am fascinated by the price/performance offer. I have rarely eaten so well in a canteen!

Healthy and also open to external visitors. Varied food and very healthy menus. Good combination options: In addition to normal menus, there are soup and various salads. The cooking in the kitchen is good quality. The service staff is also very friendly. Clear recommendation for a good and quick refreshment during your lunch break.

Eine beeindruckende Verwaltungsstelle

Aktuell wegen Corona eine kleinere Karte. Speisen sind gut und in Preis/Leistung nicht zu toppen. Es ist halt eine "Betriebskantine" die aber auch für externe Gäste geöffnet.

Lieber, aber leider inzwischen zu teuer für Externe.

Mit Abstand die schlechteste Kantine, in der ich berufsbedingt regelmäßig essen muss. Einziges Highlight ist neuerdings die Antipasti Bar. Das Essen ist vermatscht, Gemüse wird angedickt statt einfach Mal knackig in Öl angebraten ( man hat hier Angst vor Fett), Fleisch und Fisch sind trocken, Kartoffelgerichte ohne Geschmack. Als Externer ist der Preis viel zu hoch für diese schlechte Qualität. Das Personal ist immer nett, und ja, man bekommt auf Wunsch einen Nachschlag. Zum Glück bezahlt mein Kunde

Der Salat und die Suppe war verdammt geil!

Wir mussten eine virtel stund auf das essen warten weil die schnitzen "frisch" gemacht werden mussten, genauso wie die 8 leute nach uns weil natürlich nicht vorraussehbar ist dass noch menschen zum essen kommen nach 12:45... Und frisch ist ebenfalls eine übertreibug für tiefkühl schnitzel die kurz angebraten werden ...

Gute abwechslungsreiche Gerichte. Und Nachschlag wird auch gewährt
