Always big doubles and triples. Great service, always women until you drop. Insider tip from me, the calendar in the men's room. I'd love to come back. Addendum, the mulled wine is simply wonderful. Cons--Music can be a bit louder.

The mulled wine simply tastes wonderful. The beer is also good and the guests are premium.

Probably one of the last rustic pubs in Krefeld. Small but nice and also clean. The landlady was super nice and very attentive. Nobody waits long for their drink

Short version in advance: Service: 5 stars, very nice, friendly and attentive Prices: 3 stars, €11.50 for a (large) currywurst, €19.50 for a (small) portion of curry with (6) shrimps (€13.50 without shrimps) Location (terrace): 4 stars, very nice location, a bit cramped, lots of smokers, but dark in the evening Cuisine: 2 stars, the Thai dishes have nothing to do with Thai apart from the coconut milk, the currywurst lacks its curry Longer version: There is nothing wrong with the operation at all. The ladies are all very friendly and well organized. When we arrived, a table was quickly prepared for us and was even wiped down, which is not a given. We always had drinks at the table quickly and never had to wait long. The criticism of the food was well received and they promised to pass it on to the kitchen, but they still remained very friendly. The location is nice, you have a view of the greenery. There's definitely a bit of a holiday feeling. Unfortunately, the tables are all very close together and covered with umbrellas, which, due to the lack of wind, meant that you constantly had cigarette smoke in your nose. Towards the evening it got pretty dark at the tables, but tea lights were kindly put up at some point. The food is rather disappointing for a place like this! Since we are big Thai fans, we of course ordered the Thai dishes. The soup of the day was a Tom Ka Ghai soup, which is so tailored to the clientele that it simply tastes like salty coconut milk. There was not a single piece of lemongrass, galangal or kaffir lime leaf to be seen or tasted. There's no need to even talk about chilies and spiciness. The same applies to the Thai curry with shrimps! The prawns were delicious, the rest was absolutely not Thai worthy as no Thai ingredients were used. The coconut milk doesn't justify the name! :) So if you go there with the intention of eating Thai, please refrain from doing so. Dear chef: On Rheinstr. 37 is a snack bar called Baan Thai (don't let the look fool you), go there for a curry or a soup and let yourself be inspired, it will do you good! Alternatively, rename the Thai dishes so that no one feels misled. The currywurst was okay, so was the sausage itself. The sauce, on the other hand, was more of a tomato sauce with a good consistency, I think they forgot the curry or saved a lot of it?! The fries were well fried and made from delicious potatoes. Conclusion: If you're looking for a nice beer garden with a beautiful view and top service, you've come to the right place. If you want to eat Thai or currywurst, you should go to a place where these dishes have their tradition :)
