The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Parking is difficult to find.

Among other things, we had a Mykonos platter for two people for 61 euros. We found this far too expensive compared to the other dishes. The taste was okay. Apart from the fact that I had a strange wooden stick about 5 cm in my salad (which the waiter didn't comment on), we had a lovely evening until about 11:00 p.m. We ate and drank a lot. A short time later, when we wanted to order a final round of drinks, we were abruptly told, without any warning, that we had to pay immediately and leave; they wanted to finish work NOW. This applied to all the guests still in the restaurant. It was tantamount to being kicked out – there were five of us, and we left over 300 euros. DEFINITELY LAST VISIT – UNBELIEVABLE –

It's been a while since we've been to Poseidon. We still enjoy delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. Really nice.

I was there again after years and can only recommend it. As good 👍 as before 😊 I'll be back soon!

This is what you imagine a Greek restaurant to be like. Delicious food and generous portions, plus very friendly staff. We'd happily return.

What should I update here? Nothing has ever changed, and if it has, it's for the better. Good quality at normal prices.

I find this place too expensive for what they offer

We had a delicious mixed platter. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but the gyro was a bit too thick and greasy for me.

Very tasty. The portions may have gotten smaller, but they're still plentiful and very tasty. A slight drawback for those who like tzatziki is that you have to order it separately with many dishes. But it's worth it; it's very, very tasty.

Today we ate there for the first time. My wife and I both agreed that the food was delicious and plentiful. We received a very warm welcome, and we left feeling full and satisfied. What more could you want? We'll be back.

Friendly staff, good value for money, good Greek food

People celebrated in the restaurant. Then glasses not clean. Very small portions for the price, and the fries were soaked in salt (over-salted).

Best Greek in the area, top quality with great taste, you can eat everything there from A to Z. Super nice boss and the waitresses always have a smile on their faces. I can only recommend Poseidon.

The food really can't be matched in terms of price/performance. You order a salad for more than €12 and get something like a €3.50 side salad. The interior is really showing its age and service... So I have no reason for a second visit if I'm honest. I correct: Apparently the salad only costs €11.50 instead of €12.00 but what you get is just ridiculous. And the service is just like the owners' comments. That explains everything.

First of all we ordered an appetizer platter. We also got bread and tzatziki. The appetizer platter was okay in terms of price-performance, the baguette bread tasted older and not crunchy. For the main course we ordered a mixed meat platter for 4 people and a steak medium. The steak arrived half English, a quarter medium and a quarter well done. I have no idea how it was turned or turned, but an expert couldn't have been at work here. There was also a fat tendon in the meat (see photo, you can clearly see that nothing is medium) so it wasn't completely edible. The meat platter was okay, but not outstanding. But now the surprise: the tzatziki was not included. Actually it wasn't a problem but when we pointed it out to the waiter he said he would deliver it later. Then came back and said he had already delivered the starter to the table. Please what? A small dollop that was enough for the bread for the starter was the tzatziki for the 4-person platter? And what else should you have eaten the starter bread with? In any case, another dollop was delivered (see photo, unfortunately 2 small spoonfuls were already taken). When it was added to the bill at the end it was clear to us: never again! Edit to answer: thanks for your answer. However, I would have liked criticism to be handled more professionally. Of course, something can go wrong in a full restaurant, everyone understands that. But how you handle legitimate feedback makes all the difference. Instead of objectively dealing with the points mentioned, you dismiss the criticism as “ridiculous” and assume that I just want to “let off steam”. You also bring rising prices into play, although I have never complained about the prices. I understand higher costs, but that doesn't justify poor quality or service. My feedback was honest and factual, as was my decision not to visit your restaurant in the future. I wish you continued success and hope that you will be more open to constructive feedback in the future.

We didn't like the food, but that's no reason to give it 1 star. It only came with the payment: Nowadays, there is a restaurant like this that allows you to pay without a card, and there is no mention of this anywhere. We spontaneously went out for dinner late today and without thinking about it, brought enough cash with us. After we said we would have to go to the car and maybe go to the ATM, a waiter (who likes to practice tennis) said clearly and very loudly: "Hopefully you'll come back! Otherwise you'll get negative karma!"

Very traditional, food EXTREMELY delicious, staff very friendly, atmosphere very cozy, food comes relatively quickly, I can't complain.

Service never came. Be careful when paying, we simply had tzatziki added to our bill for €11, just like fries we didn't order. We are very dissatisfied and would never go there again. Food was really weak compared to similar Greeks.

The waitresses are super friendly, very quick, but not intrusive. The ambience is nothing special, just good middle class. The food itself was okay, but not so particularly tasty that it definitely needs to be highlighted (but that's a matter of taste) However, the portion was relatively small and at €21 (Bifteki gratinated with fries) it was already in the fairly high price range. I would have actually wished for a lot more. Overall, it's a pleasant restaurant that's easy to visit. Conclusion: upper middle class.

The restaurant was well attended. The service was friendly. Unfortunately the Pljeskavica was a bit dry.

We have been enjoying going to Poseidon for several years now. Classic honest Greek cuisine and a lovely outdoor terrace. Keep it up!

The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. The outdoor terrace is nicely laid out and you can sit comfortably here. There is a star deduction because you cannot pay by card. This is simply no longer up to date.

We've been here several times and what can I say, the food was again very good, but this time the service was very unfriendly. We experienced it here for the first time and it was also the last time. Stress or not, you should be friendly to every guest. We had reserved and were not greeted warmly. Next we were told to take a seat at a table, only to be pushed away shortly afterwards with the words "We've reserved the table further back." No matter how great it was otherwise, something like that doesn't work and we won't be coming back and would rather go somewhere else.

Getting old... Would be okay but the service was unfriendly. Eating out. El Greco in Heinsberg is better.

Man kann schön draußen sitzen, die Bedienung ist freundlich. Die Gerichte machen einen griechischen Eindruck. Aber statt Patates gibt es Reis. Dolmadakia mit Hackfleisch in Sauce Bernaise kannte ich bisher nicht. Tiropita, Spanakopita, Stifado habe ich nicht gefunden. Mir war es zu wenig griechisch.

The meat was tough and very dry. Plates of starters were not cleaned up. You can only pay with cash and the waiter will insult you if you want to pay out cash.

You will be served very quickly and friendly. The food was very tasty. 😋 I ate a grilled chicken fillet or two with baked potatoes and tzatziki and salad.

Was there today with my partner. The reception was quite friendly but fake. The young waiter tried hard but the boss was impossible. Arrogant and simply unprofessional in his job. The food wasn't good. I'm definitely used to better things in Greek cuisine. Unfortunately it was comparable to a chip shop. Mini portion at a maximum price. Metaxa sauce clearly looks different (also in Greece) Filet was dry like an old schnitzel. You should also keep your shop clean, at least in the dining area. (Cobwebs & dust) something like that clearly doesn't work. There were plenty of staff there, so instead of smoking on the terrace with the guests, perhaps it would be better to clean up and arrange everything more neatly and, above all, serve it in a traditional way. Price/performance absolutely not appropriate. First and last time. We will not recommend it because any positive recommendation would be a lie. Answer to the statement: "my friend" WE certainly won't be friends ;-) But 100% not.

We sat outside. Normal ambience with typical music. There were some seats available and we could choose where we wanted to sit. Ordering drinks and appetizers was quick. The salad was drowned in the dressing. The main course took 40 minutes with no comment from the staff. Add salt to the fries and potatoes. Liver and meat have been in the pan or grill for a little too long. The salmon was deliciously prepared to perfection. Smoking is permitted outside. Guests and staff use this extensively. The staff is not careful to pamper the guest and make the visit an experience. It's a shame. Conclusion: it could be much better

Reserved with a smaller group in the outdoor area on Father's Day. Tables were ready at the reserved time. Staff was nice and quick in service. Good menu with lots of choice. Starters plate with garlic bread was just amazing. Main course was also super tasty. I felt comfortable the whole time.

The food was delicious, a little very greasy for my mom, but the taste was good. Service is very familiar and all wishes are catered for. Gladly again.

There were three of us there and sat around the outdoor area. After we had been sitting for almost 20 minutes, a waitress came and asked if we wanted to order something to drink. Too long for my taste. Drinks came and there was an ouzo on the house. So far so good. Ordered food and the tall waiter who brought the food seemed slightly drunk. While we were eating, we ordered something to drink again and the wrong block of sacheb was left at the table, which we hadn't even eaten. Then it took a while. The empty glasses were collected and we were given two rounds of drinks. That was it. After that, despite the glasses being visibly empty, there were no more questions. When we asked for the bill, the slightly bruised gentleman came to the table with a clear flag and a total bill. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. At no point was the question asked whether payments should be made together or separately. Well, conclusion: the food was ok, although very spicy, but that's just a matter of taste.

Unfortunately that was a disappointment. There was ouzo as a welcome. The food wasn't bad, about on par with a chip shop. The rice was barely seasoned and soft. The meat was okay but it could be better. Füchschen Alt is offered here, but it doesn't happen often. The waitresses were good, funny and close to the guests. The flambéed Metxa was a bitter disappointment: not flambéed, just warmed. I claim microwave, the service claims it was flambéed and blown out in the kitchen. I have never experienced this not being done to guests. My conclusion: never again. Unless I hear better things again, because they used to have a good reputation.

The meat was good, the rice was a disaster, not edible. When complaining, they ONLY said that the whole batch of rice was so bad and there was nothing they could do about it. Otherwise no reaction or anything. The restaurant is not recommended because the shortage was known and the guest was still served. A pity. Well the reactions to my review say it all. The guest has to pay for the food that the boss doesn't want to complain about.

Wir waren wieder einmal dort. Das Essen war super lecker und sehr freundlich serviert. Ich hatte Lammfleisch mit Auberginen bestellt. Werde auf jeden Fall noch mal dorthin gehen.

Unser Lieblings-Grieche!!😊😊 Wir gehen dort wirklich sehr gerne essen und haben auch schon öfters Freunde mitgenommen, denen es auch immer gut gefallen hat! Im Sommer kann man sehr schön auf der Terrasse sitzen, im Winter drinnen. Die Einrichtung ist urig und gemütlich. Man schmeckt immer das leckere Olivenöl und die Frische der Zutaten (die Tomaten schmecken sogar noch im Winter). Am Liebsten esse ich das Moussaka, es ist wirklich noch authentische, griechische Küche. Der Besitzer ist selber immer mit im Service und das gesamte Team ist super nett und kinderfreundlich. Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen und freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Hatten reserviert, im einen Geburtstag zu feiern. Müssten allerdings nach 2 Stunden das Restaurant verlassen, da unser Tisch weiter vergeben war. Tisch war nicht sauber, mussten die Bedienung darauf hinweisen. Essen durchschnittlich. Ich kann lediglich die Aufregung über die Barzahlung nicht verstehen. Das ist zum einen groß angezeigt und welcher Erwachsene hat denn kein Bargeld dabei??? Da wollen sich Gäste wichtig machen. Dafür Sterne abzuziehen ist lächerlich.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich aber das Essen hat uns gar nicht geschmeckt, sehr schade 😞
