Good food and excellent service. Great value for money. Kid friendly. Plus point for being sensitive to allergy/dietary restrictions. I would recommend the lamb shank baked in foil.

I had to go to this restaurant because I was invited and it was my first and last time. I eat better at home and for a much cheaper price. The quality of the food they offer is very low compared to the inflated prices. I don't think the pre-made fries served as a side dish are typical of Greek cuisine.

Were there early and never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for the next course

We've been coming here for ages and have never been disappointed. I think it's the best Greek in the area and I've tried a few. The service is extremely friendly and the food is always delicious. In the summer you can sit outside and in the winter you can usually find a place inside after a short time, even without a reservation. Still, I would recommend making a reservation just to be on the safe side Our whole family loves going there again and again.

Over prices, and they do pita gyros only for takeaway

I was there on Monday, September 16th. I ate the gratinated gyros, which was okay, but for the price I have to say and for the portion, what was offered was not appropriate. I think that the Greeks have raised the prices of their food the most when it comes to local prices and I find it partly incomprehensible because it is not a special cuisine and what is offered usually tastes bland or salty. It was quite bland here and the meat was very fatty, some of which I couldn't eat because I don't like fat.

Ate in the restaurant last night - prices for the portions were way too expensive - "adult prices for children's portions" The taste was just below average, the service was unfriendly and there was no decency when serving - overall a restaurant that is not recommended

We were a large group with a reservation, unfortunately they were very overwhelmed. The children were given children's snaps (juice) over and over again in a jug without asking the guardians whether this was okay (children's table). Some of the food came lukewarm. Unfortunately, it's a shame for us/me no more visitors value

We were there twice for lunch. Unfortunately I have to say that the portions for most of the dishes are far too small for the prices quoted. The food itself is average. Otherwise, the waitresses are quick and courteous.

Directly at the U6 station Garching. Well attended. Pork wasn't done. Rest was good.

The fact that you can see into the kitchen is a good sign. Happens in very few places. However, the toilet cubicles are so dark that my daughter unfortunately couldn't see what she was sitting in... 🙁

I love Greek food and the proverbial hospitality of the Greeks. Unfortunately, only the food is good at the Poseidon in Garching. Friendliness and hospitality are a foreign word here. I have never noticed such unfriendliness in any other Greek restaurant. In Garching the wrong “Greek” definitely had to close.

Gyros with Metaxa was inedible, everything else was good. Unfortunately we didn't get a watermelon, all the other guests did.

Today we went to Poseidon in Garching for the first time. The food was really great. Price/performance was right. The meat and gyros were cooked to perfection. Dogs are also allowed, although if it's so busy I wouldn't take a dog into the restaurant. The atmosphere is rustic with Greek accents. High chairs are available for younger visitors. Service was a bit spotty during the payment process. We waited almost 20 minutes until a waiter came to us. (this can be improved) It has to be said that the restaurant was quite full in the evening when the weather was nice. So all the service staff had a lot to do. We were offered melon as a farewell. What I would also like to note is that with so many restaurant visitors you should check the women's toilets. But I can only recommend it because the dishes we ordered were very tasty. P.s. The parking situation is not great, you have to be lucky or look on the side streets.

In a beautiful atmosphere, the delicious food is unfortunately overshadowed by a somewhat mushy and disorganized service. You get the impression that one doesn't know what the other is doing. A pity.

Awful service. Waiter ignored my request for meat. Menu said fries would come with our food but they served rice instead which I’m allergic to. My partner asked where the fries were and they came as he took his last mouthful of food! They were not fries but slices of fried potato! Practically empty on a Saturday night……hmmm I wonder why! Terrible on every level….

On Sunday June 30th, 24, my husband, my girlfriend and I were at Poseidon. Only so much... the soup was a portion for a small child and he would probably still have been hungry afterwards. The price of the soup with 3 indefinable balls was €6.50 Since I like to eat eggplant, I ordered these. There were 6 thin slices, dripping with fat and even the section from the end was still there. The slices could also have been described as small round cleaning rags. The service, male and older, was unfriendly and even though the local beer garden was half full...probably overwhelmed. The visit took place once and never again.

Good Greek cuisine. Ouzo, coffee, minni Greek yogurt on the house! Mega! Cozy. Inside and outside. Always my pleasure.

Food was very good. Portions are decent, as you would expect from a Greek restaurant. The staff was very friendly . The prices are completely reasonable considering the proximity to the big city.

Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff. It's nice to sit outside and the street noise is well reduced by the wall and the fountains. There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant, otherwise you would have to look for something. All in all, we like going there.

Popular Greek with popular food. Everything was really tasty - the typical "Greek food for Germans"... Very friendly waitresses.

The dishes weren't particularly big, but they were expensive. The taste was also a flop. Old bread, salad with almost no dressing, the mini portion of rice was totally tasteless, fries like rubber, no onion on the food. We definitely won't go there again!

I used to like this restaurant, but now the prices have risen a lot, but the portions have shrunk significantly. It's difficult to fill up with one main course here. I know other Greeks where you can easily get portions twice as large and at least 30% cheaper.

The food is top quality, the prices are ok too. Unfortunately, we found that with a little more friendliness the staff wouldn't have been able to do anything.

Been eating here for years. Today we were very disappointed. Food and service not what we are used to. But the waiter wasn't really interested in the complaint. It's a shame, we could have saved the money.

I highly recommend the octopus, it was excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is nice. I expected the fried zucchini to be thinner, they weren’t spectacular but they were fine. Some of the meals had rice as a side, where fries would have been more suitable. The meat was really high quality and properly cooked.

The food was amazing and had a great time enjoying the night. It was incredibly busy when we went at 8 PM . But I was with one other person, and we luckily got a seat.

Nice atmosphere, the food was tasty, portions were ok. Toilets ok, but unfortunately nothing to dry your hands, soap empty. We came from the Bayern game and were immediately greeted by the waiter with "Sh... Bayern, sh... Bayern!" Even if the "maybe" wasn't meant that way, I don't think it's appropriate! We had pre-booked a long table for 20 people, unfortunately there were already 3 people sitting there who were not part of the group we had ordered, but we didn't want to chase them away as there was still space at a few neighboring tables, so our friends sat at the next table. After a small exchange of words with the waiter, who complained about the fact that we were now occupying the tables next to us, whereupon we wanted to make it clear to him that the three men at our long table did not actually belong to our registered group A bit of an unpleasant exchange of words that, in my opinion, shouldn't have happened, although the next table didn't have a reservation elsewhere were provided with a sign. Unfortunately, the good atmosphere was gone. It was a drastic experience that meant we probably won't come back. But there are still various places in the neighborhood that we would definitely like to try next time.

Unfriendly, overwhelmed and unhygienic

Worst dining experience ever! The waiter served the wrong dish, came over half an hour later with a terrible attitude and told us we were served the wrong dish and that we had to pay for it and left. Waited half an hour for the last dessert ordered and the waiter came twice during the wait to press for payment. Terrible experience! Will not be coming back!

Everything was great as always! We really enjoy coming here. Why “only” 4 stars? Because of the fairly increased prices.

Table reservations were possible at very short notice. Extremely friendly and service-oriented staff. Delicious food that you don't have to wait long for. A tip for all bow lovers!

Still good food and friendly staff. However, a price increase effective January 1, 2024 is significantly more expensive! So he has the VAT. not raised from 7% to 19%, but simply 19% on top! So in Greek terms... A pity! That's why only 3 stars!

Netter Grieche zentral in Garching.

Zugegeben mag ich griechisches Essen, vor allem die Vorspeisen, aber hier ist auch überdurchschnittlich gut. Service könnte manchmal etwas schneller sein, vor allem da es immer viele Kellner sind, aber alles sehr freundlich.

Die Kellner wirken nicht besonders motiviert. Gyros o.k.Statt Reis wollte ich Pommes statt Reis. Es kam beides aber die Pommes wurden nicht extra berechnet. Vorab gab es, wie bei vielen Griechen, ein Ouzo. Zur Bezahlung kam ein kleines Dessert. Der Salat vor oder zum Gyros war so wenig originell wie in den meisten Restaurants.

Ein richtig quirliges griechisches Lokal. Immer wieder gern.

Sehr gutes Essen! Der Service ist aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Portionen sind genau richtig und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt. Reservierung ist ratsam und Parkmöglichkeiten begrenzt. Wir würden wieder dort essen!

Wir waren unter der Woche zum Mittagessen da. Es gibt eine große Mittagskarte. Dazu gibt es Salat und frisches Weißbrot und der Kaffe hinterher geht aufs Haus. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

The food was really nice. I tried the vegetarian item where they stuff a paprika and tomato with aromatic nice with spices. Simply put delicious. Although the one star has to go away because of the cheese ( i think it was goat cheese which I am not a fan but hey maybe you like it). Oh yeah there's baked potatoes that come with it. Lets say it was nice.
