Portofino in Lübeck

We wanted to place an order for delivery on 4/30/25. We were linked to Lieferando via the Portofino homepage and placed our order for our guests there. When there was still no delivery after 1.5 hours, we asked the restaurant. We were informed that we would no longer be working with Lieferando and that that was why we had not received the order. We should call Lieferando (!!!) and arrange for the amount already paid via PayPal to be transferred back. After we replied that we were linked via the restaurant homepage, they admitted that it was Portofino's mistake, but we should still contact Lieferando ourselves because they didn't see any contact option. There was no apology and no new delivery was offered. My guests stayed hungry that evening and I was incredibly embarrassed. Obviously not the Portofino, it's unbelievable, but even after more than a week, the error hasn't been fixed: You are still linked to the Lieferando page and can diligently place orders there that come to nothing. We have now at least managed to get a large part of the money back from Lieferando. Of course we insist on the total! It is of course up to us to take care of this now. An absolute disgrace, I've never experienced anything like it.

When we booked the table, we were not told that the time was limited. We learned that when we were there. When we told the service about it, we were told that they should have been able to imagine it. Sin. A small apology or understanding for the irritation would have been nicer. We he just taking the last sip from the glass, when the next guests arrived who would get our table. So there was no dessert. Too bad about a nice evening. "Just" adequate good food is not enough - but spice it up with good service and you will have repeat guests and regulars - but not us.

Friendly atmosphere, the music in the background was very pleasant, very attentive service. Food was good. The pizza was a bit too thin for my taste as far as the base and the edge was a bit too thick. All in all it was very pleasant.

We were here with 12 people. Enjoyed the time very much. Delicious antipasti with absolutely delicious dips and crusty homemade bread. Great pizzas, especially the signatures. Crispy dough, high quality ingredients. Dessert rich and delicious. Espresso very good. Oh yes and the homemade lemonade - very refreshing. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Simply a great evening!

Even before ordering, I felt like leaving the pizzeria - unfriendly, slightly arrogant and therefore unprofessional.

Even though we were there just before the kitchen closed, we still got delicious warm food. The pizzas were nice and crispy, but unfortunately the beer was too warm. We'd love to come back.👍

Pizza is delicious but for the price I would have expected something different. 20€ for a pizza, medium size is just too expensive. I also think the toilet, one for men and women, is not enough for so many guests.

Even though we showed up at the pizzeria shortly before closing time, the employees were extremely friendly and responded to our special requests. There is a well-thought-out selection of pizzas, side dishes and an outstanding selection of drinks. The restaurant has a great and inviting atmosphere that leaves no flaws. All in all, this pizzeria is convincing in all aspects and can only be recommended. 🍕😁🙌

Pizza good, large Portofino starter plate a huge disappointment, a disgrace for the price. Cheap green olives, bland zucchini, mushrooms and peppers that haven't seen any grill or seasoning.

Incredibly good stone oven pizza in various exciting variations. So far we have only ordered or picked up, but we also definitely want to drop off. Tip: be sure to order the pizza dip as well, it keeps vampires away!

Excellent food (super airy, loose pizza dough and the antipasti was a surprise with truffle cheese), super nice and courteous service and the ambience is very inviting and warm with an open kitchen. A repeat visit is very, very likely!

Update, some things have changed and that's why I deducted a star. They use coconut oil for the desserts. The flavors changed and some people are allergic to coconut (my girlfriend for example). The garlic dip is runnier and has a strange taste and aftertaste that wasn't there before. They switched the dough to sourdough, I like it but have heard some complaints about it. _________________________________ Hammer! It was super tasty!!! I went there with my girlfriend and my mother, all three of us loved it! The pizzas are amazing and super fresh, the staff is super nice and friendly and the place is clean and beautiful. 5/5

The food at Portofino was delicious, especially the pizza from the stone oven was a highlight. The service was very friendly and attentive, we felt really comfortable. The drinks were also great! The restaurant is comfortably furnished and has a nice atmosphere. I would definitely like to come back!

Great pizza even with sourdough

The pizza was delicious, although the dough was very thin. Since our seat was right next to the door, it was unfortunately quite cold and the toilet wasn't appealing at all.

The pizza gets a school grade of 3.0. It was okay, but not the best Neapolitan pizza I've eaten. Still, it's a shame to eat a pizza that cost around 16 euros and was just "okay". A little tough at the edges in places and the ingredients weren't distributed evenly. The biggest faux pas was that half of the pizza was burnt on the back. The young waitress was uncomfortable and unfortunately there was no “accommodation” from the store, which I would have expected. Really a shame!

A relatively small pizzeria with a clear menu (which we always like because they concentrate on the essentials and are really good at it) We had reserved an outdoor area and sat in an igloo tent that was heated. It was really romantic with lots of little lights and super cozy. The food was typically Italian - the pizza with a great dough and very large and the starter and dessert freshly prepared and delicious. All in all, highly recommended and we will definitely come back

I've been there several times and can't complain in any way. The food is top - whether pizza or pasta. Just like the staff, very accommodating and everything seems very familiar, I love it. You can also easily make reservations online. 10/10!

Addendum: Regarding your answer - portraying me as a liar instead of owning up to the poor service and working on it doesn't make you a better restaurant, quite the opposite. - Chic restaurant, delicious pizzas - that's it. At first there was no table available at the time we reserved and we were greeted with a “nothing is available at the moment, just wait outside”. With drizzle and 3 degrees in January. 20 minutes later we were brought in and promised a round of drinks on the house - that sounds nice. We sat in the back area at the terrace exit, the door was constantly left open by the staff, I probably got up 3-4 times to close the door again behind the waiters. After the meal there was no one within reach, no chance to order drinks or dessert. There was a lot of tidying up and talking, but no one wanted to come over for about 45 minutes. We had enough conversations, but would also have liked to have had something to drink. At some point the lady came to us completely annoyed after I flagged her down: "Well, what's wrong with you?" - nice question. We replied that we would be happy to pay since it seemed to be nearing the end of the day. The answer we got was "you were so engrossed in the conversation, that's why we didn't bother you" - the idea of ​​service simply failed, using this as an excuse if you don't feel like taking care of your guests and offering drinks. When she paid, she became impatient because we were chatting on the side, how could we... she didn't know anything about the round of drinks that was initially announced on the house. Communication is probably rather mediocre there. We also found it very unpleasant that there was only one toilet for all guests. We all agree, this was the first and last visit to this restaurant. Too bad.

Far too small, too expensive and only 1 toilet in the restaurant. You sit in a draft the whole time. But the food was very good and tasty. The cappuccino cup was only a quarter full of coffee and the rest was foam.

Very nice little restaurant. The starter (pizza bread with cheese) was a taste explosion. The homemade lemonade was refreshing and the pizza dough was also super fluffy. The only negative point is that the garlic dip is a bit too small for its price. But the taste is great.

The food was OK. However, my vegetarian pasta dish smelled like salami because it was probably in the oven with a salami pizza. Reduced my appetite. Unfortunately the service was not satisfactory. When you asked if you could have bread, you were only given a slice and looked at strangely. You weren't told that the bread would be charged extra. When we asked if we could have bread again, we were again looked at in surprise and asked if we wanted two slices. The three slices were then charged on the bill, which was not made clear to us beforehand. The food was supposed to be packed, but all you got was an aluminum box without a bag. When asked if you could get a bag, you were hesitantly told you didn't know if you had any. Again we asked for a bag, this time we were fobbed off with the fact that she still doesn't know if they have any and that she doesn't have time for it anymore. I've never experienced it before. We don't go there anymore.

Unfortunately not recommended. My pizza had 4 tiny slices of salami and actually no toppings. There were 4 employees standing around, one of them was fumbling around in his mouth, probably had something in his teeth, then he cashed in on a guest, not nice.

I can absolutely recommend this place! I've eaten a lot of pizzas within Germany (including from very successful chains) and this pizza can not only compete with them, but beats them easily! The service was also very good and we were very friendly and accommodating! 5 deserved ⭐️!

The food was really delicious. But I have rarely experienced such poor service. The plates aren't cleared, drinks arrive incorrectly or not at all and dessert alone took 30 minutes. Unfortunately it ruined our evening.

There were three of us on a Saturday evening and everything went well with a reservation. The service was good, the drinks arrived quickly and the homemade lemonade was delicious. We ordered 2x pizza and 1x gluten-free pasta spinaci and it probably took an hour until we got the food. The reasoning was that the pasta had to be cooked specially and everything had to be fresh - okay, fair. Unfortunately, someone forgot to salt the pasta and sauce and I had to empty half the salt shaker to get some flavor. But even then, there wasn't much to be gained from it. Definitely disappointing for €18. The pizzas were good, personally I wouldn't have had enough cheese on them, but my companions were happy and probably already knew that. A curtain at the main entrance would be cool since we were really cold at the entrance. The door kept opening and it was minus degrees.

Great pizza place. Great pizza. Small menu but good. Local is highly recommended Unfortunately, 1 year later, no longer satisfied. The pizza was almost black from the bottom but totally soggy except for the edge, lots of edges. The calzone is therefore super dry and the filling is super economical. There were four of us and the other pizzas weren't tasty either. Once upon a time one of the best pizzas in Lübeck. Too bad It is also extremely drafty in autumn and winter. The door stays open too long A curtain is missing. Therefore very uncomfortable because you are cold.

We were guests in Lübeck and were lucky enough to be able to eat here on New Year's Eve. A really great restaurant, very, very tasty pizza and nice attentive service. The pizzas are not overly large, so you can eat an appetizer without bursting at the end. It was a shame that there was no more tiramisu very early on, so you could only choose panna cotta. But it was also great.

Since I made reservations online, I was able to specify that we were coming for dinner for an anniversary. So the super nice waiter actually came with two glasses of champagne and congratulated us. For starters we had foccacia with garlic oil and dip. Incredibly delicious. Then there was a Pizza Buona and an Italiana. Great. The quality and preparation are simply great. We then took the Bon Bon back to the hotel as dessert. Since we liked it so much the first time, we went back two days later. As a vacation end. We were just as excited as we were the first time. Dear Portofino team, thank you for two lovely evenings. If we are in Lübeck again, we would be happy to come to you for dinner!

The food was delicious, the service was friendly, but unfortunately there was a bit of carelessness, since it was the end of the working day and they were busy cleaning up and preparing for the next day, we were a bit forgotten, so we didn't order any more delicious tiramisu. We had to pay €35 for two people, which I think is very reasonable considering we were both very satisfied and full.

I had the pleasure of visiting Pizzeria Portofino in Lübeck and all I can say is that it was an absolute delight! The pizzas are simply fantastic – perfectly baked, with fresh ingredients and a great taste. Every pizza I tried was a little masterpiece! I would particularly like to highlight the appetizers. The focaccia with the garlic dip is an absolute must! It's so flavorful and goes perfectly with the crusty slices of bread. A wonderful start to the meal! The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very welcoming and the staff is friendly and attentive. I can only warmly recommend the Pizzeria Portofino - every pizza lover will get their money's worth here!

Very nice and small restaurant with Italian dishes. A typical Italian restaurant in Germany, unfortunately without its own fish and meat dishes that are typically Italian. Just pasta and pizza. Although that's not entirely true, because the dishes on offer are even better. I would even go as far as: “Best pizza and pasta within 25 km. So the taste is excellent! And you don't have to wait long for the food you ordered. The size and price are good. Friendly, competent and fast service. Given the ambience, I suspect that eating in the courtyard in summer is more spacious than the indoor dining room. Unfortunately everything is a bit tight. I would recommend reservations. All in all, we'd love to come back! It was very very good!

Had dinner there today and was still blown away. The restaurant is beautifully located on the water and has a beautiful courtyard where you can eat. There is also a nice atmosphere inside as you can see directly how the pizza is being prepared. You feel like you're in Italy and the taste intensifies this feeling🥰 It's been a long time since I've had pizza this good. The dough is amazing!!! I'd love to come back
